CLEMENCE (10/5): Très bel hôtel - Très belle chambre bien équipée (baignoire à spa, très grand lit) avec service attentionné (rafraîchissements en chambre, petits gâteaux,…). Petit déjeuner excellent (jus d’orange frais, merveilleuse salade de fruits, yaourts fermiers, gâteaux maison,…). On reviendra pour tester le restaurant gastronomique.

Le Bris (8/5): excellent séjour dans l'établissement - Petit déjeuner : café de qualité moyenne . Les viennoiseries semblent être des produits décongelés et pourraient être abandonnées au profit d'une plus grande variété de pains. Personnel très accueillant. Une remarque sur le carrelage au sol du couloir devant la porte de la chambre , qui est inégal voir enfoncé et necessite une réparation ( risque d'entorse ) .

Yoan (9/5): Un lieu exceptionnel qui vous plonge dans une autre époque - Le lieu est grandiose, la chambre était exceptionnelle: très grande, très bien équipée, très bien décorée. Literie très confortable. Propreté irréprochable. 2 bémols: - nous avons jamais réellement l’impression d être accueillis car personne ne se trouve à l’accueil et au moment de notre arrivée personne ne nous a expliqué certains détails comme le wifi ou le petit déjeuner. Le personnel est très gentil et à disposition mais il est plutôt affecté au restaurant - lors de notre 2e nuit, le lundi matin à 8h30 un engin faisant un trou juste en dessous de notre fenêtre (pas top)

Make sure you are there for dinner. - Accidentally booked this Chateau D'Origny near Roanne rather than the one we wanted near Nevers and it was too late to change before we realised the mistake our friends had made when doing a joint booking. We arrived mid-afternoon on a Sunday, just as lunch was finishing. It smelt wonderful. Such a shame then that the restaurant was closed on a Sunday evening, meaning we'd have to venture out by car to somewhere else. All that being said, the place is charming and unusual. Bought to stock the contents of many years of collecting fine furniture by the Belgian owners, this place oozes charm. The fabulous welcome from all the staff made up for us missing the chance to eat there. As we were nearly 2 hours away from where we needed to be Monday morning, they kindly agreed to serve breakfast an hour early at 7am - and WHAT A SPREAD. Huge quantities of bread, pastries and other snacks which proved too much to eat - so they boxed it up for us to eat for lunch! There are only 5 bedrooms, but there are huge and beautifully furnished with all kinds of memorabilia. Massive bathroom, with original tomette tiles and deep bath. Comfy seating area and massive bed. Really worth a detour... just not as much as we did! :) Wish we'd been there when the restaurant was open as it looked exceptional.

Amanda (9/5): Superb - Beautiful, well furnished chateau where you can have a one star Michelin dinner. Room was large, clean and there was even a jacuzzi in the bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There were some bugs in the room. We noticed that the light in front of the window was turned on all night. This made it difficult to open the window to cool the room (no aircon) without attracting the bugs in. Suggest that the staff switches off the light at some point in the night.
