Guest Reviews
- Michael (10/5): - The staff is nice.
- Peter (4/5): - Booked for one night but could only tolerated half a day . Ordered a twin share and got a double bed instead. We had one guess over and management called to say we are not allowed to have guest. This was at 3pm mind you. Other things wifi speed was like a turtle speed . Staff were not friendly. Never again
- Someth (8/5): - Quiet place clean friendly
- Dio (8/5): - Ok
- Mark (2/5): - This hotel should be renamed Pigeon Hotel. The whole night of pigeon stomping on the ceiling and pigeons cooing. When i went to the reception to ask for a room change because all the pigeons were making a lot of noise at 5am, the receptionist and his friend just told me that the problem is solved and i should just continue to rest in my room. however, the problem continued and was not resolved because the hotel can’t be bothered. do not stay here unless you want to suffer pigeon demonic hell. beware and stay away from this Pigeon Go In Hotel. 😡
- Someth (10/5): - Quiet and safe shopping and foods around...
- Jeffrey (2/5): - I can't believe Expedia lists a hotel this bad, wifi doesnt work staff barely speaks English, located far fom anything useful. Left after an hour even though i paid for a week.
- Denise (6/5): - Good
- Philip (6/5): - Thanks
- Zaw (6/5): - Many fly insects on bed sheets. No WiFi in the room. Dial receptionist. No picking call.
- Craig (8/5): - Slowest elevator in town.
- Bruce (4/5): - Cheap room, area not so convenient, room was not clean. Lots of stains on the wall.
- Chivorn (10/5): - Thanks
- Marie Grace (8/5): - The property is located in the center of the city. It's easy to book a grab and the drivers were nice. We also had a spacious room and a balcony. We had quiet place to stay. Great deal.
- Bo (10/5): - Good for celebrities!
- Jeff (6/5): - So for the price ($13), this isn’t such a bad deal. It is an old building, with limited facilities; however, if all you are looking for is a place rest and store your stuff, this hotel is fine. I booked it for just that during a 12 hr layover before my flight to the Philippines.
Another factor that might be problematic is that virtually no one speaks English at the front desk, so you won’t get a lot of help with directions and such. However, Google Translate was a solid work around.
- Brooks (10/5): - The property staff were extremely responsive and helpful. Some of them did not speak English, but we used google translate and my needs were met. If there is anything you need during your stay, feel free to ask the staff. They are very helpful. Will maybe stay again.
- Someth (10/5): - Quiet, safe, convenient, great view over downtown PP. Friendly and respectful staffs...
- Robert William (8/5): - Pretty good for a long time
- Someth (10/5): - Quiet neighborhood, good staff, and reasonable price...
- Someth (8/5): - clean, quiet place, and reasonable price. But not well maintanant some broken light feature and sink not fixed it...
- Said (10/5): - Amazing experience lovely
- Richard (10/5): - The staff is so friendly and the room is more than worth the cost.
- Craig (6/5): - Nothing unique.
- Craig (6/5): - Covid induced dismantalization
- Ben (4/5): - Staff doesn't speak or understand English. The listing indicates laundry service but that is NOT accurate
- Alexander (6/5): - My room - 306 - was delightfully quiet. Aircon, TV chanels, top quality. Staff had minimal to no English. Neighborhood had lots of fine, local restaurants. Hotel away from main tourist zones, so good for people comfortable living among locals
- Joan (4/5): - No room cleaning daily, no bottled water or towels on a daily basis, no one spoke English
- Matthew (10/5): - Very happy with my stay here! Excellent value for the money! Hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Motorbike parking right out front. Taxis are very cheap, so transport to Riverside area is fast and easy. Room was large, clean, with big bathroom and great AC. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure in shower. I loved the balcony and the view was great. Two things to mention: while the rooms are certainly clean and comfortable, they are not new…so if you are looking for modern luxury, this is not the hotel for you. Also, front desk staff are very warm, welcoming, and friendly…but communication was challenging at times due to the language barrier…even for basic requests (like laundry service, for instance). So keep that in mind if you are looking for detailed information and/or concierge-like service. You won’t get that here. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and will be staying here again when I return to Phnom Penh!
- Elias (6/5): Ok overall - This hotel would be great, if it had some service associated with it. In 7 days I stayed there, they didn't ask if I need cleaning once, nor the cleaning lady showed up. You have to ask for it, as you have to ask for the free water every day. Trash bags had been left by the stairs on my floor, and they had not been picked up when I checked out 2 -3 days later(!).
The wifi was very lacking (test speeds of 1-2 Mbps to Singapore) but the data connections from the local SIM providers are great (I used Cellcard).
The room itself was great and compensates for the above, with a nice queen-sized comfortable bed (not hard), a nice desk and chair, a big bathroom with ample hot water, a TV with lots of cable channels, and a nice balcony.
However, starting on day 3 of my stay there, someone on the floor above thought that moving furniture, including at 1am and then again at 7am, is a good idea. So factor in internal noise as another downside.
- Someth (10/5): - Quiet, safe, clean, and reasonable price
- Amy (10/5): Great place - Really nice place with a good location, close to the S21 prison. Beds are firm which I prefer but some might not like. I’ve been traveling for two months now and this hotel was one of my favorite so far.
- Alexander (8/5): Good place to stay - Good place to stay. Communication for me was difficult, had to use translator. Hotel is older style but nice. Room was good. Great balcony view over the city.
- luis (10/5): - Staff Barry understand English but they are really helpful and will get what you need any way.
I stayed 3 nights and neither of those they clean the room. I’m a clean and not-messy person, but still,
It’s located 2 blocks away from the Genocide museum, which is what I wanted!
- Aggie (8/5): - Only cost $20 a night. Rooms were spacious. Loved the balcony. Hotel had no hair dryer or coffee maker as advertised. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
- Jeremy (10/5): Very good badget hotel - We stayed this hotel for two days. This hotel is not located along Main Street, so it was very quiet at night, which is very good! The room was clean including balcony.
The staffs were friendly and helpful.
We will definitely stay this hotel again.
- Noname (10/5): - Great staff, best value in the area. There are some great deals if youre willing to stay a little further from the action.
- Alexander (8/5): Suited me - It has what you need.. Soft bed. Clean pillows.. Good big shower room.. Lift.. Good TV... Nice staff... Bit far from the night spots but PassApp taxi service is.cheap...i like it.. No hassles..
- Verified traveler (8/5): It's good and cheap.. - The hotel ticks certain boxes... Still far from anywhere.. But now with passapp it's cheap to get about.. Or grab.. Download the apps.. The hotel is clean.. Good beds.. Good TV. Fridge and some have balconies which are great for the view.. Staff speak little English but passable.. If you need a kettle just ask.. Pillows soft as well.. Roms are small with large bathroom and all works.. Plenty sockets.. All in all its comfy and no problem with staff about who stays or have they been checked in etc... You will find some Korea stay here but mostly Chinese and if you know Chinese people here you will not be surprised to find smoke is everywhere and bags left outside their door and loud.. But they keep to themselves.. This a cheap hotel in a city that is getting dearer by the week.. It offers all you need for short term or long term.. Walk in rate $20 but book online you can get for 17...18 a night... 2 bottles of water you collect from reception each day...
- Verified traveler (10/5): An overall great hotel! - Great place to stay!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I love how clean is this place for the price that their charge, staff very nice
- Verified traveler (8/5): reasonable value; sparse, clean and comfortable; - on-par basic and reasonable value; clean, quiet and comfortable room (#502); not all items specified are actually in the room but as this website suggests: 'there are cultural differences about what consists of availability'; eg, hot water for tea coffee or late night noodles not in room as indicated but reception more than happy to deliver - even Basil Fawlty would be impressed :-) Nice balcony and view; location fine and as always - everywhere is a short tuk-tuk trip in PP ...
- jay (8/5): - Clean room, comfortable bed, fridge. Great balcony views. WiFi is not strong and the friendly staff’s English is sparse at best but they take credit cards and are laid back about overstays. Be sure to take hotel card when you venture out so moto and tuktuk drivers can call for directions. All in all a pretty decent value.
- jared (8/5): - Staff English not good but rooms are clean and spacious, bed is comfy and elevator is good.
- Wayland (6/5): Good price for decent hotel - I booked the Double Room here. They don't list how big the room is but it's 22 m2, not including the balcony. There's a desk and chair, but the it's a wooden chair with no cushioning, so I had to get creative and sit on the pillow on top of the chair. There's no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. If you walk around the block, there's a Sky Club/ Urban Beer House, and a KTV. The room was pretty no frills but it's appropriate for the price. The room had a great view.
- David (10/5): will recommend it ! - nice people in the front desk, and room is clean and clean .stay in 5 days , love it
- Verified traveler (6/5): Average - Was ok for a few days
Bad area
Always need to use transport
Always had a smell of smoke in the corridors
Rooms small but ok
Television had enough channels
Shower worked well
Down a badly lit street
Good English spoken at reception
- Verified traveler (6/5): Was alright - Good beds ,, good bathrooms,,lift...TV has loads of English channels..
Clean rooms..
Smoke everywhere from Chinese tourists and butts on floors and inside lift..
No safe in the room which is very inconvenient ..
Area not very safe at night,,don't walk ..
Front desk speaks English but better at night..
Ask for water..they don't put in rooms..
- Dave (8/5): Nice hotel. Good room - Very clean and comfortable. Restaurant facilities are there but not open. The "foreigner" district is $3 tuc-tuc ride which is quite reasonable. The staff were very courteous and helpful. Although only 2 of them spoke English they always tried very hard to please. And they ordered food in for me as well. The room had a balconey overlooking the neighbourhood but if you wanted to sit out you had to take the room chair. Not a serious issue but a table and chairs would be a "nice to have".
- Verified traveler (6/5): Better and safer about - Hotel is ok,nothing special.good tv,reasonably clean.small rooms.
Area is dirty and not safe.begger sleeps up the street
No transport after 9 at night
Far from most things
Ktv round corner which booms music most of night.
Most definitely not 3 1/2 star .
- Verified traveler (6/5): Just about ok - The hotel is clean enough,,rooms are done every day..this is not a 3 1/2 star hotel.. 3 at most... Area is awful..dirty street and dark at night... Could be much better
