Mark (8/5): Highly recommended - Garden is lovely and calm, area is relatively quiet, rooms are very clean. I give only four stars because the coffee served at breakfast is instant powder coffee rather than brewed. Really, that is my only negative thought. I worked around this by walking across the street to get a fresh brewed coffee.
Verified traveler (8/5): - Ideal setting near hubbub of Thamel. Great price for a lovely setting and wonderful service from an obliging staff. Try to get room on garden side. Housekeepers learned and adapted to our needs. Manager Ganesh was especially useful in arranging tours, etc., and driver Kanchen Lama was skilled at navigating Valley traffic. No AC but wasn’t needed in mid-October. It’s not a luxury property (you may want to provide your own big bar of soap) but it has unexpectedly nice decor. We came to feel very much at home.
Paul (10/5): Exceptional. - Another excellent stay at the International. I cannot fault the accommodation or staff. The hotel itself, its contents and gardens is truly magnificent. It has become my ‘go to’ hotel in Kathamandu. Comfort, style and reasonable prices. I like it. You will too.
