- robin (1/5): Old, rough, noisy, over priced Mom & Pop Motel! Dont trust the fake reviews!! - Nothing We booked a room at Davis Motel based on the positive reviews. These reviews are fake!. No legitimate traveller would make such positive comments. What we received was an old Mom & Pop Motel at a truck stop with air conditioners/ heaters in the windows of the rooms. Basically there is no window because of the air conditioner/ heater. The door to the room was not properly sealed. You could see daylight between the door and the floor. Freezing air was pouring in. We had to put a towel across the bottom of the door to keep the cold out. The walls are thin- the noise of trucks rolling by made it impossible to sleep. One dude had his car idling in the car park at 6am. The shower pressure was non existent! As world travelers we have had our share of Mom & Pop motels. But we have never paid $113 for the experience. This is a $60 motel tops! A total rip off. Dont believe the fake reviews!!!

- Amy (10/5): Comfortable, accommodating, safe - The owner was amazing, so accommodating. It was a bad snowstorm and I couldn’t safely make it home. He was awesome. And he does magic tricks! Stay here. It may look like a hole in the wall but it is well maintained. Smells great. I felt safe. I didn’t like that there was 18 inches of snow falling from the sky haha but they has NOTHING to do with the hotel. It was perfect. If I had to be lucky I’d say , coffee pot in every room. I like warm water in the morning lol

I got a free bag of goodies with check in and the owner gave me a free bag of ice for my cooler. It's an older motel, as money allows the desk, plus a few other items need upgraded. But I definitely would stay again.

The AC was effective and quiet, though many of the other rooms had window units unlike our more usual below-the-window one. The best thing was that we discovered the Aqua Pazzo 10 minutes away, an authentic and beautiful Italian restaurant with $14 pasta specials on Tuesdays. The worst thing about the motel was the coffee (undrinkable for me) and no coffee maker in the room, but there are to get coffee right nearby. Overall a good deal.

They offered a 24 hour open office with access to munchies, coffee, ice, anything you may need, they were pet friendly and their property was super with many separate areas that you could take your dog for their own privacy, that included grass! It was right next to a few restaurants chains, and next door to a pilot service station. It had cold air, lots of parking, and slowly being remodeled to floating floors which I loved. The place may not be a castle, but their service and the rooms being clean enough to be comfortable, in fact so comfortable that my friend and I layed down for a nap at 6pm and didn’t wake until the next morning gave me peace, and a well rested night. Oh, they also have a 25 hour all around camera in that 24 hour opened office so I was peaceful enough to keep my car loaded with my products I sell at local auctions , thank you Dave, we will be seeing you again!

- Michael (6/5): This is a solid PASS (as in, find another place to stay) - The reviews that mention how clean and wonderful this place are must be from another decade. As of May 2025, this is a sad place. The front desk person (and by front desk, I mean the person also manning the drive through beer and liquor window behind the desk) was very pleasant, considering my daughter and I arrived after midnight. She offered me a free drink from the refrigerated wall of beer and assorted alcohol. That was lovely. I declined, since it was so late. My daughter and I were slightly concerned, since we were alone, but we are fully capable people, and able to look formidable easily, lol. There was only one guy out milling around at that hour, and we were both bigger than he was. Anyway, we opened the door to our room. The people who complained about road noise must not have turned on their air conditioner/heater. That thing drowned out every noise. Probably wouldn't have heard someone breaking into our car right outside our room, in fact. Anyway, the a/c worked, there were NO bedbugs, and...well, that's about the end of the positives. There were a couple of spiders to kill, plenty of dust/dirt in the corners, everything is dated and NOT in good condition, things were rusty, don't look up under the sink, beds weren't great. I accidentally spilled water under the sink where I needed to stand, so I used a washcloth to wipe it up. Wow. The floor didnt look dirty until I wiped it. Guess I couldn't see very well in the dim light. The white washcloth came off of the floor covered in dirt. I guess pink tile is what you want if you don't like to clean and you don't want it to be too obvious. Bottom line, if you're a trucker, this place may seem like a step up form your cab (but I doubt it). If you're female and have more than $50 to spend on a hotel room, don't stay here. This place is a solid 5.3, not the glowing 8.3 rating on Booking.com.

Then, upon arriving, I had the pleasure of getting checked in by Shannon. What a sweetheart! I was also given a little goodie bag with water bottles and treats. The room is spacious and comfortable. The heating/cooling system worked well. It conveniently has a fridge and microwave, and it even had an air purifier (first time I’ve ever seen one of those). The wifi signal was strong and worked great. The mattress is quite firm, which I like, but may be too hard for others. Lots of appreciated details in this charming, family-run motel. Good value for the money.

Bought sprays from the dollar store and did not have any issues the next 2 days. My sincere advice to property management: must have a bug free property. You can cut costs by getting rid of goody bags, TV, WiFi, Cable, microwave or even the fridge but the minimum expectation is a bug free, clean room. I did not expect bed bugs and mildew spots at a 8+ rated property. this place might be a blessing for homeless or under housed if they can manage bug issue

It's conveniently close to the highway but my room was surprisingly quiet (#18). No carpet!!! Clean laminate flooring. The sheets and blankets looked very new, towels where nice and white! The owner was very friendly and so was the morning manager.
- David (9/5): Superb - The comfortable bed and the hot shower. I always appreciate the greeting I get from Shannon, the night clerk. I would like a thicker pillow, if possible; at least one, if not both.
- Alice (8/5): Very good - The owner was friendly, helpful and welcoming. This is not a fancy place at all. Modest accommodations, a bit dated, but all in all a very clean, quiet and comfortable stay.
- Jim (10/5): - I have been staying here for a week and I love it. The owner and staff are incredibly nice and it just feels like a welcoming atmosphere all around So different then the Corporate motels . So refreshing . You even get real keys lol( I hate key cards as they always stop working lol). They definitely go above and beyond here. Just a great “mom and Pop” place that brings me back to a much simpler time in a safe and private environment . James
- Callie (10/5): Great for a fly by night. - We were driving to Michigan and stopped here on the fly, late night, for sleep. I am always working towards supporting more small businesses and fewer corporations these days. This place was friendly, the room was clean, the gas next door was cheap, and I would stay there again.
- MaryLu (10/5): - Simple, cheap and on the hightway. Great staff, just watch the A/B button on the TV if you have kiddos. Put it on B.
- Michelle (10/5): - This was just what I needed. A place to sleep and shower. It was simple and clean. I grew up in the area and knew it was reparable. I didn't pay for things I didn't need. Spa, Weight room, pool etc. I will stay here in the future. I was given a welcome goodie bag that did come in handy. Although I didn't need to use them there are restaurants and store very close.
