- Nick (9/5): - Everything from location to cleannesses and stuff was good, I liked their balcony and also their yard which you could sit and enjoy drinking, having dinner etc. Only one thing was bothering: when I entered the room there was a tribble smell and it wouldn’t go away.. so I asked them and they sprayed the room but I should say the smell remained for the two days I was there.

- Candice (9/5): Relaxing stay - Beautiful hotel in a great location. Our room was very clean and exactly as pictured. The bed was so comfortable and the AC was nice and cold. Our room was on the ground floor by the bar with a large window where our cats loved to people-watch. There was music on the weekend and it wasn't that loud, but we don't sleep early anyway, so it was over before we went to bed. There's a restaurant as well and the food was delicious.

- Amy (10/5): Exceptional value for money in a beautiful oasis in PP! - Everything ❤️ ❤️LOCATION-just down from the Independence Monument and close to a supermarket and lots of food stalls/restaurants and laundry services. ❤️ HOTEL-I had a huge room with a BATHTUB! The first I’ve even seen in Cambodia lol. It was a great room, a/c wasn’t 100%-I still woke up through the night hot but I want to emphasise this is extremely common in Cambodia-every hotel I’ve stayed at has only ever had cool a/c, not cold 🥶. So it was still good. The room was very clean and staff cleaned it whenever I asked. I noticed lots of groups of people having meetings there and social groups as it’s a very welcoming place. This hotel is LGBTQ friendly which was really nice 😍 ❤️ POOL- The pool is lovely-so cool and lots of greenery around it, and lots of seating. They provide towel roo. I spent a lot of time in there on hot days waiting for my visa 😂 ❤️ STAFF- what a sensational and lovely crew!! The staff went above and beyond for anything anyone needed-they are an absolute credit to the hotel. Also one day when I was very sick, the lady and the young man went and cut up a mango for me so I had something to eat after being sick all night and day-the lady rubbed my back as I was crying; this kindness bought tears to me eyes 🙏 ❤️CATS-there is about 4/5 beautiful cats at this property that all have funny and different personalities lol. My favourite is the little kitten I called him BoyBoy and every time I saw him he would jump on my lap to smooch 😘 it’s such a nice feeling hotel, and to sit down with the occasional cat hanging out with you feels very homely. 🌟Special mention of the manager, a gorgeous Swiss man named Atis-he’s a lovely intelligent and decent guy, who runs the hotel impeccably 🙏 This is in no way the properties fault-The only thing I didn’t like was the noise from other guests. People that don’t know how to use inside voices at 2am etc. I think it would help if they placed signs up,I’ve stayed at hotels where they have signs saying -Please be quiet, other guests are sleeping or “Quiet time 10pm-8pm” etc. Again, this is not the hotels fault, and I still have given the hotel 10/10 and absolutely will stay here again when I leave Cambodia to fly home ❤️🙏
- Carioca do Kourou (10/5): Un petit havre de tranquillité en plein ville. - Un îlot de verdure au centre ville près des grandes avenues et de Bassac Lane. La chambre est confortable et comprends tout le nécessaire dont un frigo bien appréciable en saison sèche. La piscine est agréable avec le bar et la restauration à proximité. Le personnel est charmant. Petit déjeuner relativement cher.
- PAULINE (7/5): Très bon rapport qualité prix - Le personnel est très accueillant. La piscine est chouette et la chambre confortable, avec un frigo en réel état de fonction tout comme la climatisation. L'évacuation de la douche était extrêmement lente ce qui crée rapidement une piscine dans la salle de bain. Et les escaliers pour monter à l'étage sont assez dangereux, avec des marches finies et des hauteurs de marches irrégulières. Enfin, si vous n'aimez pas le pimenté pensez bien à préciser " No spicy" parce que sinon vous aurez la bouche en feu.

- Martin (9/5): - Tolle Lage mitten in der City, aber sehr ruhig. Wir hatten ein großes, sauberes Zimmer mit nem super Bett. Personal war Zucker. Würden immer wieder kommen. Bad roch ein bisschen und die Klima hat ein bisschen getropft, daher Abzug in der B-Note.

Abat-jour des lampes de chevet à changer car de grosses tâches de moisissures Piscine trop a l étroit (pas de place pour mettre des transats)..

- Daniela (6/5): - Grosses, gut ausgestattetes Zimmer, gute Lage, schöner Innenhof mit Pool Ich hatte ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss, das Fenster ging direkt zu einer Wand raus. Auch tagsüber war es fast komplett dunkel in dem Zimmer. Wenn in ein Zimmer quasi kein Tageslicht rein kommt sollte man das meiner Meinung nach auch kommunizieren... Als ich nach einem Zimmertausch gefragt habe konnte mir nur die billigere Zimmerkategorie angeboten werden, die direkt an Pool und Innenhof mit Bar grenzt. Da an meinem ersten Abend eine Party dort stattfand, kam das für mich nicht infrage, da ich früh aufstehen musste und in Ruhe schlafen wollte....

- Léa (7/5): Chambre agréable mais bar de l'hôtel bruyant - Très grande chambre, propre avec une literie confortable. La salle de bain était également immense. L'emplacement est idéal en plein centre mais vous avez une piscine pour vous rafraîchir. Le rapport qualité/prix est très bon. La climatisation de notre chambre fonctionnait mal et malgré le ventilateur j'avais chaud la nuit. Le plus gros problème de cet hôtel c'est le bar. L'insonorisation des chambres est très mauvaise et les 2 soirs où on nous avons séjourné il y avait du bruit jusqu'à 1h30 du matin... Le deuxième soir mon conjoint est descendu demander s'il était possible de faire moins de bruit et on a pu dormir. On a quand même été assez surpris que le bruit vienne du gérant et de ses amis. Il s'est excusé auprès de mon conjoint le soir mais rien le lendemain matin en nous croisant. J'ai trouvé ça un peu mal poli même s'il a l'air gentil pour les autres interactions que nous avons eu.

Es gibt eine kleine Speisekarte für Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen. Die Bar ist ebenfalls gut bestückt. Das Zimmer & Bad waren riesig, gut ausgestattet und sauber. Wenn im Hof Party stattfindet, hört man davon ein bisschen, hat uns nicht gestört. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

Also, the staffs were very friendly and provided free drinking water. There‘s a restaurant right at the reception area of the guesthouse and two lovely cats running around. Well, the only thingy is that the „shower“ in our room was located in the bathtub. So if you‘re shaky on the legs, you might have to switch rooms.

- Nina (9/5): Nice place to stay in Phnom Penh - It’s a really nice guesthouse, you have everything you need in your room. The outside part are also nice with a swimming pool and a place to chill. The staff are super nice and take time for us. The location of the guesthouse is nice we walk almost everywhere. We chose 9 and not 10 because we couldn’t be there for the first night (flight delay) and we still pay the night despite our messages.

- Daniel (8/5): Overall Really Good - We stayed for 4 nights at the Birdcage Boutique. Overall our stay was very good. The room was a good size with an en suite attached. The courtyard and pool area was a really nice area to relax and play cards with a drink and was sheltered from the busy city. The staff were friendly and attentive too. Overall we had a good stay. However there were a few things that could be improved. We stayed on the ground floor near the bar area, and this was loud on a few of the nights. Also the shower in our room was cold.
- Morgan (6/5): Pleasant - Location is great, quiet side street but still close to walk into main centre with ease. Clean, very large room with fan and Aircon. Large bathroom. We got the room with balcony, which again was very large and really made the stay memorable, as it had comfy chairs and an outdoor fan. It was above the bar, but the noise didn't travel at all. Staff were OK - not overly helpful but generally not rude (except one instance above). If the above was fixed or better communicated this would be 10/10, and it does offer excellent value for money. Wifi was not working for our entire stay, and had been broken for a day prior to our arrival. Not sure when it was ever fixed. Obviously was not hotels fault (provider) but after 4 days I feel they should be looking into alternative provisions (e.g data hotspot) for the guests, or at the least have some sort of compensation for the hassle, as it is advertised as having wifi. The other issue was the pool. It is used for swimming lessons for outside guests in the afternoon. This essentially means the pool is unusable for hotel guests in the afternoon (2-4) as the outside guests take over the area (noise, take the loungers, jumping into pool and splashing guests etc.). We felt this was at the expense of paying hotel guests which was a disappointment. None of this was communicated and when I bought it up I was dismissed, somewhat rudely (but could be language difficulties also). Presumable the wifi will be fixed, and if you are not wanting to use the pool in the afternoon then this is an amazing hotel, 10/10. For us we were after internet and relaxing at the pool, and this was hindered by above, so I give 6/10.
- Fiona (9/5): Exceeded our expectations - We liked the rooms and the beds were comfy. The ac worked plus there was a fan in the room as well. We liked the bar and pool area to chill and meet fellow travellers. It’s not brand new but we didn’t expect that. It’s clean and comfy with great staff.
