- Jamie (1/5): Dark, uncomfortable hostel with zero love. - The location is central and the price is cheap. I had the misfortune of booking this place for two weeks.
While I was there the owner pretends to be nice, but in reality, she does not want to run a hostel. She smiles but she is cold and does not want you to be there. There is zero love in the place.
She does not want people to hang out, the chairs in the entrance are purely decoration as when I hung out on them too long she pretended the AC broke to drive people out. The bedrooms feel like a prison cell, she watches the CCTV in real time and messages you about what you're doing wrong (three times!) and you're not allowed to open the door to anyone. An older couple and a grandmother had a reservation and I was told off for letting them in and letting them wait in the entrance instead of the rain - and that if they didn't pay I would have to pay... me a guest! It took her two hours to show up during which they ultimately left. This sort of thing happened multiple times.
I did more work at the reception than her.
The vibe is hostile and uncomfortable. She wants you to pay her, and piss off.
I'm sorry but the "Bless our home with love and laughter" sign in the kitchen can't save this one.
If there was any love in the place it's long gone many years ago. Book anywhere but here.
Avoid avoid avoid. This is the darkest place I've stayed in, in years.

- Vun Kiun (7/5): Great location and friendly staff, but not ideal for light sleepers - price is very affordable, which you pay what you get, for me this stay is so much better
it is walkable to convenient store, mall, museum, ferry, food, souvenir and sightseeing,
you wont be have the chance to be starve here
staff are friendly and thoughtful, they planned ahead and told me know how to check in when they knew they are not available when I arrive, which understandable because I arrived on Raya night
I don't know for others, for me bathroom is very big (like this is the first in my dorm life haha) and clean well first of all, I am the kind of people who can accept anything,
as long I can sleep and bath in clean places I am alright, but
this places is not suitable for light sleeper people
the dorm bed is very loud even you just move a little
and the stay is just beside the road so expect car and motorcycle noises even at midnight
next would be the bed, I got itchy while sleeping one night, I think it is dust mite, which is normal

- Bonayre (8/5): a nice, budget place to stay in Kuching - a nice, proper hostel to stay with hot shower, kitchen facilities, comfortable bed.
- JAVIER KENT (10/5): -
- Morgan (5/5): Bien pour 1 ou 2 nuits, pas plus. - Organisation facile Bruyant
Aucun espace commun où se poser.
- Karin (7/5): -
- PUI MING (8/5): - I love the homestay’s design, it’s small, cute, and has a lovely woody style. The homestay is near the road, so it can be a little noisy sometimes. Fortunately, I was able to sleep well throughout my stay. The owner is a very helpful and kind person. Thank you so much!!
- Erica (10/5): Best place in kuching - If you go to Kuching this is your best option for accommodation: is close to open air market (bus station), clean, comfy, staff go the extra mile to make you feel like at home, available toast, butter, jam, coffe and tea all day long, there's a fridge and water dispenser, showers with hot water, games to play with other guests... Is just perfect Can't think of anything!
- Vasco (10/5): - The place is close to all the sites for shopping, and dining local cuisine. The manger so much went out of her way to provide the best service and the compliment breakfast was perfect
- Jan (9/5): Polecam, dobry stosunek ceny do jakości - Dobre miejsce na krótki pobyt. W samym centrum. Polecam
- Ms. Zahraa (8/5): Some foreigners (Europe) are rude but not all. - The convenience of the place near to the mall The roommate that is from overseas. Did not respect others.
- José (7/5): 2 noches - El hostel cubre las necesidades, baño y duchas.

- Natalia (8/5): - We really appreciated the basic breakfast offered! The staff are very helpful and they will provide you with all the information you need for your stay in Kuching. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The room was super small for two people and our luggage. Ot smelled strange and stuffy. Some days we had to keep the door open as there was no window to getsome ventilaton.
- Gareth (8/5): - Very good location and value for money. Beds were a bit rickety and noisy but not too bad.
- Lea (8/5): -
- Yumi moko (8/5): -
- JENNIFER (7/5): Not social, if solo traveler I don’t recommend - It is be well located, near to everything. You get a code to enter the Hostel, room was ok, clean. You get towel.
Worth the money. Cero social. There is also no space for it, just small place at the entrance but not comfortable so no one stays. If you want to stay in the kitchen you have to open a camping-table.
Queríamos descansar y no pudimos.

- _maxime_ (8/5): Lovely stay with good location - The welcome was really great – the staff were super kind and helpful. The room was very comfortable, and having breakfast included was a real plus. The location was also very convenient for getting around. Nothing major, everything went smoothly during the stay.
- Amelia (8/5): - Staff really friendly and helpful, simple breakfast included in the price. Good value for money
- Ern Ying (7/5): Okay - Friendly staff, great location (around 10 mins walk to Borneo culture museum/carpenter street) and very affordable. Very poor soundproof, noises from the street, nearby school, and maybe other rooms.
Old building.
Very thin blanket :(
- Vittoriana (8/5): Top location and incredible staff! - The sweet and available staff made my stay incredibly nice. The hostel is pretty basic and simple and it matches the cheap price. It is very well located at 2 minutes walking from the waterfront Just a bit noisy because it is on the street.
- Nat (10/5): Exceptional - Very easy access to the Waterfront.
- Xin (7/5): Good -
- Joseph (9/5): Enjoy the stay at the property ! - Location, Cleanliness , affordable accommodation & free breakfast ❗️ Nothing I can think of ❗️
- Yang (9/5): Good value for money - Laidback and friendly host. Easy to communicate with. Facilities are basic but enough. Room is quite small but okay for one person. Walking distance to tourist locations. Only problem is the location: the window of the hallway faces the intersection of roads. The noise of cars and especially motorbikes was nearly unbearable through the whole night. Rooms not on the second floor along the hallway may enjoy a quieter night.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, staff (KD & Aqilah) were incredibly friendly and helpful with local tips from activity ideas to transport tips. Comfortable bedding with great aircon. Shared bathrooms kept very clean. 10/10
- Anonymous (8/5): Great - Room Toilet door can't lock
- Samson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gabriele (5/5): Basic facilities with family style service - Very friendly welcome and interaction with guest throughout. Facilities very basic, but clean and everything in working order. Good coffee in the morning, if available. Facilities very quiet between 10pm and 10am Although basic breakfast provided, coffee only with percolator which was not explained how to use. No milk for coffee available.
- Ngo (9/5): Good for my time in Kuching. - - Good support from staffs.
- Good location. - The air conditioner in my room leaked water.
- Abigail (9/5): Central clean and friendly hostel - Great hostel just 5 mins from the waterfront. Coffee/ tea and toast are provided for breakfast. Water also available. Nice and clean. Staff very helpful and available on WhatsApp if not at the hostel. I had a great time in Kuching. While the hostel is very close to everything, it's also on a busy junction, so there is traffic noise at night. This wasn't a massive problem for me, however, and the positives of the hostel make up for this slight drawback.
- Clarke (10/5): Terrific wee guest house - Extremely good value and hospitality Beds ( but for the price one can’t complain)
- F (9/5): Exactly what solo traveler needed! - They have necessary things we do need. Good locations, staff is nice. They have travel brosurs and we'll inform for free museum or bus service information as well. Christine, even let me drop my belongings even after several days from the check-out date.
Make sure to bring cash since they only accept cash as the payment methods. The bed is good for 1 day but not good for several days since its bedding is not supporting well for the backbone. Medium soft bedding will be better.
- Wen (9/5): Perfect location. Clean. Comfortable to sleep - Perfect location, to walk over to riverbank is just 5mins walk, super convenient.
- Anna (10/5): I will stay here again ..if I visit Kuching. - everything nothing
- Alen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Chunhsuan (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location and friendly staffs
- Esther (7/5): Simple room, good value for one night stay. - Location is good. Hostel was a bit old, and its facing the main road so it was a bit noisy.
- Ain (8/5): Very good -
- Abang (9/5): Superb -
- Hilska (10/5): Grateful for this chilled space! - Quiikcat is a great place for solo travelers who want to have a chill environment, access to basic amenidies in the kitchen and a good location in city center Kuching. The owner & staff are kind, flexible and always friendly.
- Mun (7/5): Budget stay for backpackers - They even offer a complimentary simple breakfast at an affordable stay. The check-in and check-out procedures are clearly explained, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience. The room does not block outside noise effectively
- Ruonan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nash (8/5): Very good - Good value budget accommodation in a convenient location in old Kuching
- Jessper (9/5): Superb - Basic but good value for a night
The kitchen and the coffee maker
The staff..wonderful welcoming guest..this make me feel like home
The safety
You can make yourself a breakfast and coffee The smell
There is no parking nearby but you can park your car front the hotel for short night.
The room is not sound proof and you can hear someone snoring behind your room
Overall it worth of stay for a night
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Chan (7/5): Good -
- Yuanzhi (8/5): Very good -
- Yuanzhi (8/5): Very good -
- Taekmo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Crystaljun1314 (9/5): Bad roommate gave the worst hostel experience. - Good location, 24 hours bread, coffee n tea, water pressure is strong. A wobble double decker without rail, a little bit movement, bed make noise n shaking and also dangerous if I falls from above it, may break my neck.
Personal locker all 4 slot broken, must use own padlock, some are missing locker door, impossible to lock it.
Kitchen a little bit disgusting on the table clothes, why not use the plastic type or use the plywood to close it.
No water heater at shared bathroom.
A chinese guy keep close door but leave a gap, I think he scare of darkness, but make room not cold n unsafe. Later a Turkey old man close the door for us. But then Chinese guy turn aircond to high temperature.
After 1 night, I left n goto sunset, much more better experience n cheaper.
- Pritam (10/5): Exceptional - Overall Good and the best part is Location. The owner (lady) is so helpfull she gave me a quite room for my Exam. .
- Awang (10/5): cozy and peace - simple, aesthetic nothing so far
- Lk (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shiouying (8/5): Location excellent! - The location was excellent, close to the city. They provide simple refreshments, including tea, coffee, and bread. The bunk bed is a bit old and not very stable; it shakes when someone climbs up or even turns over in their sleep. I recommend replacing it with a sturdier one.
- Dmytro (9/5): Superb -
- Diana (10/5): Wonderful experience in the heart of Kuching - I had a few problems along the way, which made our check-in difficult, but the staff was so friendly! They helped us with everything and were accommodating, answered all our questions. They also helped me find friends with whom I can going to Bako Park. It was amazing! It can be noisy on the first floor :(
- Kat (8/5): Very good - clean. good location. friendly staff VERY VERY NOISY from traffic and people in hallways all night long.

- Keegan (8/5): Very good - Good location. Some of the single rooms have a window. Room very very small.
- Wanda (9/5): Superb - The staff is very friendly and helpful I had to flush for someone's 💩. No big deal just thought that the flush needs to be fix for better flow
- Paul (7/5): Decent and well organised hostel! - Location, very clean and friendly staff. Thin walls, could hear everything happening outside, quite noisy as located at the main road
