- Myra (7/5): All in all, met expectations - the location is really beautiful. - The location of Merry Pebbles is excellent - enjoyed the hot water swimming pool, the trampolene and go carts. The river side is also very beautiful and enjoyable for a nice walk through the camp. The water tabs in facility were a little skimpy, kitchen area. Otherwise the place was OK. The road to merry pebbles is obviously not so great. this is general for roads in and around Sabie.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fabulous river frontage My husband tried unsuccessfully to land some fair sized trout. Cottage very comfortable with fireplace and heaters. Had Sabie trout in the restuarant which was excellent. Perfect base for visiting all the local sites and hikes. Will go back again. Staff discreet and efficient. Sadly, my offer to buy life rights to the cottage as a retirement home was rejected. Ah well….

I think for the price I would suggest upgrading the paint , decor and furniture, to be more modern. A comfortable and decent sofa would be great. The television is also of very bad quality.

- Ahmed (5/5): Not worth the price! - Very clean No washing machine and it was 100 rand to wash and dry laundry in the rain. Very limited menu at the restaurant and the cost for each extra on the pizza was like 30 rand. Wifi didnt work at all. Ants everywhere which is understood for the situation but the price was so high so expected some control. Mainly the guy who was at the reception was very abrupt and almost rude and needs to work on his attitude especially when dealing with concerns. No wifi during our 5 night stay! They clean everyday. There is a nice river running through. It is nicely looked after and close to some awesome landmarks. Nice hot pool.

- Sharon (6/5): I was very disappointed by the facilities, the pool, play area, game rooms, etc. can be better. - The location was great, next to the river, and easy to get to the tourist areas. It was also very quiet. The facilities are in a bad shape, a little bit of paint could go a long way to fix up the play area, the swings, broken tires look worse than my local park's facilities in Joburg. The sheets and towels on ur bed also had stains. The pictures are deceiving as the place and facilities look nothing like the pictures.

- Jan (1/5): Enjoyed the weekend, but will not go back as a result of the rude owners and general up keep. - Beautiful scenery and everything was clean. Owner / receptionist was EXTREMELY rude, did not allow us entrance with my offroad bike which was locked onto my trailer for the Enduro race I had over the weekend, this caused us to search for alternate / random storage at 19:00 at night in Sabie after a 4.5hour drive with my family in the car. Over the 3 nights of our stay this was a massive inconvenience. Also over the weekend everyday from 14:00 to 20:30 there is VERY loud music from the resort next door which seems like a regular occurence. Makes it quite difficult to enjoy the scenery. If you stay in the 3bedroom cottages at the back, know that your neighbours are very close by, and with our stay we had very noisy neighbours which carried on until late at night… The overall place looks like it could use some maintenance, its quite sad as you can see it was a great place but the owners sort of let it go over the years.

We got delayed due to the weather on Friday night and we reached there 1hr30mjns after our check in time but he waited for us and gave us the best service There should be an improvement in their main bedroom esp the bed was small at least if they upgrade to a queen size or king size . Wi-Fi was very poor only works when you are next to the restaurant. Their lounge needs an upgrade and at least put smart tv for the guests

- Vicki (1/5): Terrible experience, your advertisement on booking.com should be removed! - The room was freezing cold, the heater supplied did not work. when we got to the room all the windows were left open and infested with bugs. the shower has mould on the doors, just disgusting, the blankets smelled terrible. The bed was so hard we could have possibly slept on the floor and had a better sleep. not much.

I was there for the first time and was taking part in the Mac Mac event. I can confirm that this was my first of many.. thank you so much for having us! I had booked for two male adults but we only had one bed and an uncomfortable sleeper coach, but made the best of it and alternated the use of the bed each night

The units are big and beds are comfortable. The restaurant was good and staff were friendly. Kids loved it and want to come back There wasn't anything I didn't like. It was lovely

- Badie-ah (10/5): - We arrived at the resort just after 5pm and was handed our keys with a map of where our unit was and a map of the various sites in the area. We noticed the shop was well stocked. When we got to our cabana, the unit was very clean, with a chocolate for each of us, some rusks and tea/coffee packs. The resort is very tranquil. It is close to every site in the lowveld.
