- Edgar (10/5): - Muy recomendable lugar, las cabañas son bonitas y comodas, tienen todo para que te sientas agusto. Solo tener en cuenta que las cabañas son cuesta abajo y si no traes vehiculo, las mas alejadas puede ser complicado el bajar y subir a pie hasta la entrada principal.

- Francisca (10/5): - The property is very well maintained, very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The kiosk is the little restaurant in the facility has very good food at very reasonable prices. The only thing that I'd like to let everyone know is that it does get very cold at night and the provided blankets will not keep you warm. I ordered more wood from the receptionist and I slept in front of the chimney to keep the fire going all night. Other than that it is very beautiful place to stay.

- DAVID (8/5): Nice and safe place to stay... - Although the place is really nice, they need to work on have a better wifi service, it was so weak and the interphone never worked, I think they should add a couple of kitchen appliances like coffee maker, but the service and place are great.

- SANDOVAL BARRAGAN (6/5): - Las cabañas necesitan mantenimiento, es un lugar con áreas verdes muy lindas pero las cabañas ya están algo deterioradas y muy oscuras por dentro incluso con las luces prendidas es casi nada lo que iluminan, la coladera del baño despedía un olor muy desagradable, son cabañas simples, no estuvo mal la experiencia pero no regresaríamos

- Cesar (10/5): - Disfrutamos estar en la cabaña, la cabaña está acogedora, menos fría que otra que usamos una noche anterior de Airbnb, nos gustó mucho que tenía dos baños la mediana, bastante práctico. Lo único que nos faltó fue una cafetera ya que en el restaurante solo tenían café soluble. Pero fuera de eso está excelente, nos dieron un atado de leña y una botella grande de agua ya incluida con la renta por noche.

- Salvador (8/5): - las instalaciones se mantienen casi en las mismas condiciones, el piso de madera está flojo y muy ruidoso, al menos en la cabaña que nos tocó. el check in podrá ser al menos una hora más temprano, por lo demás todo muy bien felicitaciones!!!
- Mark (10/5): Beautiful Cabins Just Outside Downtown Mazamitla - This is a simply beautiful hotel tucked into a forested hillside. Loved our mid-size cabin, which had a fireplace, kitchen and comfortable beds. The room rate included a daily delivery of firewood, and we loved making a fire everyday (we even roasted marshmallows!). One thing to note is the distance to downtown Mazamitla, it's a 15-20 minute walk on hilly streets, and taxis aren't always easy to get, so if you're not into hilly walking you may want to stay at this hotel only if you have a car (also, we arrived without a car and the bellhop didn't offer to help us with our luggage down the hilly hotel property road and multiple steps — the property probably isn't ideal for people concerned about accessibility). But overall, we truly enjoyed our stay at this atmospheric and wonderful property!

- Cynthia (10/5): - It is a wonderful place, inside and out and the ambiance is as wonderful as expected. Our only discomfort was the coldness in the room, and to top it off, the firewood was moist and wouldn't stay on. This can be solved by requesting extra blankets, which they have available and will gladly loan and requesting help with keeping the fire going. I'd likely stay again, but I'd just prepare better and bundle up.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property itself was beautiful. Nice landscape. The cabin was not clean. There was body fluid stained blankets, soaking wet “clean” towels. Dirty sink in the kitchen and dirty bathrooms. Then when we left we were accused by staff of stealing a hand towel. There was no way to even know we had left yet at check out so it was an obvious lie. We brought our luggage in for them to search and they magically found the towel in the room at that point.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - The WIFI did not work in the cabin. We were told to buy it in town. We reported this immediately and a technician arrived saying he would adjust the antenna. He basically did nothing - long story. Bottom line - no internet for the television and, more importantly, not able to keep in contact with the office. Before making the reservation we called to confirm that the property had good WIFI. I sometimes went to their conference room to access the internet, but it failed also. The staff seems incapable to resolve issues like this. There was no potable water for purchase at the property. We had to go to town for water. The front door lock is atiquated and sometimes required 10 minutes to lock or unlock it. I could continue, but I am just glad to get away from Monteverde. I do not recommend it.

- jill (10/5): - we enjoyed the rustic, but very clean hotel accommodation. our only complaint was the noise from the neighboring discoteque. we were in cabin 45 and were very close to the disco on the outside of the hotel property wall. if i were stay at monteverde again, i would try to choose a quieter location to enjoy the serene peace of the property. all in all we had a great time.

However, the service, front desk girls.. horrible service, bad, not even a welcome when you walked in! don’t know what they are doing or have any or aren’t aware of any information about area.. security is great, they actually gave us the info we needed like you can ask front desk for taxi number.. yet when i arrived and asked girl for any transportation information she said they had none, you can recommend a taxi! WiFi never worked! and didn’t want to bother front desk about code! Stayed 10/21/20 cabin 23

- James (10/5): Rustic Cabin Charm and Beauty - Beautiful, rustic cabin set on a terrace hillside with lush landscape. We were in the 1bdrm kitchenette and really enjoyed our short stay. We used some of their cookware and glasses for a meal. They supplied the wood and starter for a fire, you need to bring matches or lighter. Mazamitla was very nice too and we will definitely be back. Recommend!

- Nancy (10/5): Gorgeous cabins! - It was a wonderful stay! The cabins are situated in a gorgeous forest landscape, and have wonderful ammentities such as guest service that includes fire for the chimney and daily room cleaning (including washing your dishes!). There are also other activities within the hotel services, such as zip-lining and off-roading. Great cozy getaway experience!

You had to buy more wood if you wanted to stay warm and they would not take dollars. Kitchen pots and pans were old but useable.
