Guest Reviews
- richard (8/5): Relaxed stay - The Breakfast at Oak Farm is exceptional, all food is hot and plentiful, the car park is a secred one, which is really good for peace of mind wifi, the room I was in on this stay, the wifi kept dropping out every 10 mins, which was a problem for working purposes, I have stayed in other rooms before and the wifi stays connected better
- Rosemary (8/5): - Lovely hotel. Comfy beds. Very quiet.
Great breakfast. Cheap overnight stay Nothing to dislike.
Heerlijk in stilte geslapen. Volgens mij zou er een raam open moeten kunnen, maar dit was afgesloten. Daar had ik een sleuteltje voor moeten hebben. Maar de kamer was ruim genoeg zodat het niet heel erg stoorde.
- malcolm (9/5): Value for money - Clean, comfy room, plenty of hot water, really good meals, welcoming staff

- James (8/5): Good stay. Clean and tidy. Good food. - Great breakfast and friendly staff. A bit far from other facilities such as shops etc
- Dylan (10/5): staff where amazing - location no tv in bar no meal menu at table
- richard (8/5): excellent stay - accommodation really good breakfast superb nothing
- Cristiano (5/5): - Posizione comoda ed ampio parcheggio Camera squallida e letto scomodo.
Il ristorante da dimenticare oltre al servizio

- Beverly (10/5): Well presented, tidy hotel with excellent staff. - I stayed one night at the hotel with my son due to an event nearby. The property has a secure gated car park, with spacious rooms that are clean and tidy.
The staff are very helpful and friendly and they have the best selection of gins I’ve ever seen at a bar! Nice breakfast and would definitely stay again. If I had to think of one thing I would change it would be the chairs in the restaurant as they made it feel a bit like a cafe.
- George (8/5): -
- Mark (6/5): -
- Michele (7/5): Pleasant - Breakfast was lovely Larger beds would have been better and the quality of pillows was poor
- Lois (10/5): Very comfortable - Handy for where we were heading to Cannock. The wedding area looked beautiful None
- Hayley (9/5): -
- Nicolette (7/5): Ok - Clean and comfortable Fan was faulty and noisy
- Sarah (8/5): A decent stay with lovely friendly staff. - We had our Christmas party here, and it was a great night. Parking secure, room was comfortable, a hearty breakfast and lovely friendly staff. The rooms are a little tired and would benefit from a refresh.
- David (7/5): It provided a pleasant base for us to travel from with a good breakfast and comfortable bed. - Comfortable bed and very clean . Well landscaped grounds and a very good breakfast. It is situated on a busy road and the signage isn’t over clear when you are trying to find it especially in the dark. Could have done with more of a lounge/bar area even when they have a function on .
- Martin (2/5): Let down by poor attitude. - Clean room, but my stay was let down by the attitude at reception. I asked earlier how to get back in through the electric gate and was told simply to press the button, yet when I returned just after 11pm I was spoken to like a naughty teenager for being ‘that late’. Guests should be given clear access instructions and not feel they need permission to come and go. Heating needed frequent adjustment and breakfast was entirely self‑service. Because of the attitude, I wouldn’t stay again.
- Stephanie (8/5): Easy to get to and lovely setting. - Breakfast good, lots of choices. Location was very good. Had a long wait for food in the evening.
- Guest (10/5): Comfy bed in a big room and very nice breakfast - clean, presentable room and communal area's, friendly staff that was helpful with needs. big room and comfy bed. Breakfast was great I realised I had forgotten toothpaste and unfortunately the hotel did not have this on site to purchase, despite it saying in the guest book in the room they had toiletries to purchase, meaning I had to go off site to buy this.
- JANET (10/5): ALL VERY GOOD AND WOULD DEFINITELY BOOK AGAIN IF IN AREA. - THE BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT ALSO THE EVENING MEAL. ALL WELL PRESENTED AND ENJOYED. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO HAVE A COMFY CHAIR IN THE BEDROOM TO RELAX . VERY QUIET ALTHOUGH ON BUSY ROAD

- richard (8/5): excellent and close to centre of Cannock - hotel is located near to where I need to be for work, breakfast is superb.. nothing
- Joyce (10/5): Enjoyed our stay would use it again as a stop over - We had a snack meal and it was amazing We were at the end of breakfast and the bacon was a bit dried out and cool
- Stephen (8/5): - I had an issue with a noise in my room which could not be explained, but I was moved to another room immediately.
- Carlo Bussen (7/5): - The staff and kitchen were fantastic. We arrived late and they still served us. The room smelled of cleaning materials. But we booked very last minute as we were travelling through to our destination. So we probably didn't receive their best room.
- Sandra (10/5): -
- Lloyd (7/5): -
- Mark (6/5): -
- Kate (8/5): -
- Suffolk (9/5): - Food was excellent
- Margaret (9/5): -
- Sarah (7/5): Convenient location and good value for money - Really friendly staff who worked hard to make it an enjoyable stay. Nice evening meal, simple menu but good value for money. Decor was a bit tired and lighting in hallway a bit dark.
- Sarah (9/5): - Good simple overnight (or conference) hotel. Big bedroom and bathroom. Quiet (no conference or event on when we stayed). Helpful friendly staff. Road outside extremely busy, but good double glazing so not a problem. Bistro closed Thursday-Sunday but we used Deliveroo.
- mark (8/5): clean safe and secure, with great staff - The staff are outstanding at this hotel, nothing is too much trouble
- Ray (10/5): Engagement - Beautiful place. Nothing
- Cameron Ross (8/5): -
- Juanma Escamilla (8/5): -
- mark (8/5): This is a no frills guaranteed good nights sleep safe place to stay in a good location - Always clean, always welcome A little cheaper
- Terry (8/5): I will use again - Very complete and satisfying No Air conditioning in ropom
- Sarah (10/5): - A quick stopover
- Grant-mcintyre (8/5): Attending a work event, very good stay - Location goo near to M6 junction. Staff very considerate, welcoming. Parking excellent. Breakfast very good. Buffett meal and evening meal good. Only serve food on certain nights
- Philip (10/5): Will return - Staff very helpful and friendly, room large and clean Nothing
- Tim (3/5): Disappointing and poor value for money - On paper it looked perfect for my needs. Initially I was given a room downstairs with a view of a hedge, as my stay was foe three nights I enquired about an upstairs room that would have a view from the window. The man at the desk kindly did some shuffling around of people and made that happen, much appreciated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room had everything I needed but was rather worn. Whilst the location was perfect proximity for my work needs the proximity to the A5 made sleep a challenge. Being summer there was no choice other than to have the window open so had the thundering A5 traffic until around midnight and then when they all got going again around daybreak.
I didn't rate the food, the fish (it said cod on the menu, £19.95!) was over cooked as were the chips. As a result I ate elsewhere inc. breakfast even though I'd paid for it already.
- Chris (10/5): Very enjoyable and highly recommended - Lovely room and great breakfast
- Stephen (8/5): - Relaxing and friendly staff
- Fran (10/5): - Clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, this hotel doesn’t do evening meals on Thursdays. We were not informed of this before our stay
- Jon (1/5): Shocking very bad - Location at car park Staff and customer service were the worst I have ever experienced…really not interested and no where to be seen
- Lyndon (9/5): Superb -
- Sandra (9/5): Superb - great staff as always - food excellent
- Daniel (10/5): - Great Stay, food excellent
- Paul (8/5): - All as expected, staff extremely helpful and accommodating
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (8/5): Clean bed , clean toilet, nice breakfast. What more could I want???? - Breakfast was buffet so could take just what I wanted and not waste food that is served to me. We spent quite a lot of the evening in our room but only one chair so I had to sit on the bed for a long time. A second chair would have been welcome
- Ben (6/5): Pleasant -
- Neal Spencer (6/5): - The evening meal was very good in the Bar with very polite staff.
Breakfast was a buffet and only just lukewarm.
The Showerhead in my room was scaled up and not clean. ( Photo taken)
And I barely slept due to how noisy the place was due to constant banging doors and what sounded like a dance class above me until late.😳
Not a good experience, and there wasn't anyone on reception when I left to complain to !!
- Lee (8/5): - Don't do food on a Thursday but overall stay was ok.
- Simon (6/5): Conveniently located with secure parking - Secure parking with nearby access to our room Basic room; no fruit/yoghurt for breakfast
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Kirby (9/5): Well worth a look. - Great clean rooms. Initial journey to the area did not hold out much hope but this hotel is a gem amongst some dodgy truck stops. Good food and staff, wifi poor and it was supposed to be a new system. Wifi needs to be made better
- Amanda (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good -
- Anita (7/5): Good - No food available on second eve.
- Jamie (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (9/5): Superb -
- Rob (8/5): Very good -
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (7/5): Good convenient stop over - Good stop over for work, secure parking Food not the best, shower a bit dated in the bath
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Asim (7/5): Good -
- Stewart (8/5): Compfortable - .
- Amanda (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (7/5): Good - A comfortable stay very handy when visiting the midlands. Breakfast was filling with nice coffee.
Staff super friendly
- Julia (9/5): Superb - Very welcoming, friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
- Graham (10/5): Lovely and friendly - Had a lovely overnight stay at Oak Farm. We arrived really late (after midnight) and we're met with a friendly smiling face. Room was comfortable though a bit dated. It was immaculately clean. Breakfast was lovely and again the staff were very friendly. We let a coat in the room after we left and the staff were great, messaging us to let us know and posting the item to us. Very highly recommended
- Colm (9/5): Very pleased - Located in good places Food stopped at 9 PM
- Julia (8/5): Very good - Self service at breakfast. Staff present but not smothering! Noise from extractor fan in bathroom very loud. Resorted to using bathroom without switching light on late evening to avoid disturbing guests in adjacent rooms.
- Nicky (10/5): Comfortable & relaxing. Dan was great & looked after us with wine & food advice. Made us feel relaxed & - Beautiful building & great location. Quiet even though it was beside a road.
- Andrew (10/5): Friendly staff, clean rooms, great food -
- Philip (9/5): Superb -
- David (9/5): Only one night but would stay again - Good location, very nice rooms nice bar and easy parking Nothing
- Mike (7/5): Good -
- Janice (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly helpful staff. Room was huge, very clean and comfortable.
- Tina (10/5): - Breakfast was spot on x. Staff were friendly and helpful.
- Ed (7/5): Not bad but... - large room clean and comfortable. Breakfast time (Sunday morning) limited to 1 hour. 08:30 to 09:30 and check out by 10:30 am. In my experience most good hotels offer breakfast on a weekend until 10:30 am and checkout by 12: 00 as is common practice with Premier Inn for example which is probably why the Premier Inn was fully booked on the weekend we stayed here. not bad hotel but would be my 2nd choice to the Premier Inn.
- Tim (5/5): A little tired - Easy to get to and accessible for the M6 / Cannock area. Secure parking and safe rooms. Transactional staff. The hotel has seen better days, tired and worn out, in an uncomfortable lumpy and tilted old bed, with a kettle that didn't work. Some of these staff conversations in the bar area were less than professional.
- Madalaine (8/5): Perfect location - Local and affordable During the night the heating was one very hot
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (7/5): Loved the place and secure car park. I appreciate my birthday falls in Christmas party season so would have appreciated - It was lovely No food or bar, drinks were table service in an area with no heating
- Phillip (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (8/5): Would return - Lovely staff and amazing breakfast. Could do with a lick of paint. Some damp in bathroom but overall pleasant.
- Anthony (7/5): Good - Nice and clean and staff friendly and polite A touch dated
