Kaffi (8/5): - We had a great stay at Amazonia. Check in and check it were very quick and easy. Staff were friendly without being intrusive. I loved the decor and especially enjoyed the greenery. Hearing the birds and water from the mini pond was lovely as well. Though the breakfast menu is limited and fixed, we enjoyed breakfast and were glad to be able to have a meal before heading out for the day. The room was clean and comfortable. We really liked the convenience of having a mini kitchen in the room that could be hidden away in the cupboard. The room was cleaned every day. Curaçao was hot and dry so it was nice to come back to a clean, fresh, cool room. We had an evening flight and were very thankful that we were allowed to check out late (at no additional cost). We even asked then to cut up some mangoes that we purchased (the knife on it room wasn't sharp enough to cut through the mango skin) and they did it and plated it beautifully. Amazonia has a small nature area with parrots, macaws, and other birds, as well as iguanas. It is close to an Aloe farm and an Ostrich farm as well as some huge windmills which was nice. All in all, a nice place to stay.

Maude (6/5): - Jungle themed, there was parrots and monkeys. People were really kind and quick to help us. Big beautiful pool and breakfast with many good options served at our room. Good meat restaurant. However, shower and sink were leaking and the room and shower floor were greasy. really noisy environment with many dogs barking at any hour of the day or night, big music coming from the pool in the early morning.. but generally, its a cool budget friendly hotel. I suggest renting a car because its unconveniently far from beaches and restaurants.

Nelly (10/5): Naturaleza en todo su esplendor - No puedo describir con palabras cuanto me encantó alojarme en este lugar y lo contenta que estoy de haber elegido hospedarme ahí, como amante de los animales y la naturaleza, me sentí muy feliz de estar rodeada de animales. Todos los empleados fueron absolutamente encantadores y descubrí que tenían más animales de los que pensaba, ojalá haberme podido quedar más tiempo!

La piscina no estaba muy limpia, la comida no fue muy rica y las áreas comunes aunque tienen un concepto diferente y se ve que se esfuerzan por tenerlas presentables, se ven como en mal estado.

Stephanie (10/5): - Beautiful property with friendly staff. The room we stayed in was big and had a little kitchenette inside that was convenient. The animals were amazing and it was fun to be able to get the tour. The pool is small, but water is always fun for kids. It is on the deeper side, so floaties are recommended for the little ones. The restaurant had delicious food and the breakfast was served to the room. It is not in town, so you would need a rental car. Highly recommend this place.

Verified traveler (10/5): Nice laidback hotel - This hotel is laidback if you’re looking for something not as busy. The rooms were nice and clean, the staff were very nice. The food at the restaurant was great as well.

isaac (2/5): - Even though the property was booked in advance they reception desk had no knowledge of our arrival and took some time to locate our reservation. The property felt unsafe as no fence or security booth in front and it was on the main road in the country area.The room and place was very hot and then when we reviewed the room, it was adjacent to a carpark and driveway. No privacy. We asked for another room and was placed by a room with the bedroom window by a main narrow corridor where everyone passed. We ghrn asked again for another more private room as it was our wedding anniversary and my birthday and we wanted room privacy only to be promised a more private room and shortly after be told it was not possible. There was no management personnel in the hotel only a trainee who was trying her best to be accomodating but she had no decision making authority and had to be communicating back and forth with the manager. The pool was not the standard expected and it seemed as though we were the only tourist there. At that point we felt frustrated, hot and time was going. We asked to speak to the manager and had to wait awhile for her to arrive. When she did arrive, she did not speak with us but rather asked a young man who said he was not part of management to speak with us. That conversation made things take a turn for the worst as we informed him that the hotel did not meet our expectations and we were very unhappy and wished to leave but wanted a full refund to which he responded

Dee (8/5): - To be honest, I was very skeptical about this hotel because I didn't see any reviews. When we arrived in Curacao, we asked a taxi driver to go to this hotel and the taxi wasn't familiar with Amazonia. I was now petrified, now I'm thinking the worst, however, the driver called the hotel and they gave her the correct information. Basically, Amazonia used to be called L'Aldea so you can let the driver know. This hotel is located in the west part of the Island (I wasn't aware) however its only 20 minutes from the airport. Once we arrived we were greeted by Stephanie, and let me tell you, what great hospitality! She accommodated us with hotel transfer, foreign exchange, and rental car service. Thanks to her, we were all set. Rent a car, its amazing, the driving is great, lots of roundabouts. Use your GPS from the phone (WAZE or google maps), it works great! This hotel is such a hidden gem, it has a very exotic feel, there's animals, a pool, daily tours (depending the day) and a restaurant. The restaurant is only open for dinner so I suggest eating elsewhere. I felt good and safe. Curacao has so much to do, you won't be disappointed! The only complaint I had was with room service, they don't come every day to clean your room and the internet was weak. Other than that, it was great! It may be at the other end of the island but it's sooooooo worth it!
