Craig (10/5): - I have stayed at Forest Cottages many times within the past ten. It never disappoints and is an oasis to within the hustle and bustle of the city.
Raymond (8/5): - Nice resort for temporary stay. Power isn't reliable and WiFi seldom works for note book computers. Also, the resort charges for everything, including water.
Judith (8/5): - The grounds are lovely, a true forest in the city. Over the years my travel companion and I have had three different types of accomodations, a small budget room, a two bedroom suite, and a cottage. They all had advantages and disadvantages, but we agree that the cottage we recently stayed in for four nights was our favorite. It had two patios, two en-suite bedrooms, a living/kitchen/dining room and was surrounded by lush greenery. If steps are a problem, maybe not suitable. The food here is varied and good and the chef accommodating. The included breakfast buffet is really good. We wanted to have a dinner for 18, and the event planner helped us plan a great buffet in the garden. Downside for people with any physical problem is steps. Lots of steps.
Mary (8/5): Country-Side Feel - It’s a very pretty place as a whole. The patio and other common areas were well maintained and the plants made it so welcoming. It didn’t feel like we were in a city. The bedroom was very clean and the bed was comfortable with the addition of the fan to keep the room cool. It also had a small fridge. Something most places I stayed didn’t have. My only issues were the front desk staff didn’t have written down (on a log book) the reservation correctly and it didn’t coincide with what I booked or canceled in Hotels.com. The shower didn’t work. At least I was able to shower from the faucet on the wall, but the knob wouldn’t turn on the shower. There are very many steps, starting from the parking to the rooms. Anyone using a cane or other device may want to rethink staying here. Otherwise, this hotel is worth staying at. The restaurant was very good.

Y7064VYkarenw (4/5): Room far too small - The hotel was ok out side our room but our twin bed room was very small. You goi k x not have swung a cat around in it. No where for luggage. Fortunately we were not staying the whole night. The bathroom was very different climbing some steps to get into the shower. The bar and restraunt area was very pleasant and there was a lively pool on a lower level. The food we ate wax very nice. We may have just been allocated a bad room.

Dirk_VDA (2/5): Not if you value your sleep - The location is beautiful surrounded by green and trees in the middle of a busy city. The staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The big problem is that they drilled holes in every wall of your room against the dampness and hulidity. This means that you hear everything from the oustide and you can easily follow the conversation of you nextdoor neighbours. I don't mean muffled sounds, you can actually follow it word by word. Bring earplugs or take a sleeping pill if you want to get any sleep at all. We were there as a satrtingpoint for our trip with G Adventures
ScreenNameMissing (8/5): Lovely setting in the city - Beautiful lush grounds and terraces. Super friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant (the Indian items are the best choice). The rooms are pretty basic. Some screened windows do not close - which is a problem at night. This is a noisy place in a noisy area. Bring earplugs
Merlin (8/5): - Very nice area with trees, and a nice swimming pool. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good wifi (most of the time). The only thing was that on some evenings there was a party which was a bit noisy.

Gisèle (6/5): - Nice location in a forest and the staff are great. The food is also good. However, the property needs a major upgrade and renovation. The place has seen much better days and is falling apart. There are also safety issues - stairs in the units that are falling apart, no railings etc. Nevertheless, we were relatively comfortable. Being able to use the Kabira Club facilities is nice.
paulwP7555BM (6/5): Very small room - The service and restaurant at Forest Cottages was fine, and helped make up for very lacklustre rooms. Our room was so small we barely had room to walk around the bed. The place was noisy. Our friends apparently were given a larger room, but others in our group also suffered with extremely tight spaces. Overall, I would not recommend.
Lucyan (6/5): Ok Hotel in Kampala - This hotel is centrally located in Kampala, off a busy street. Hotel and grounds are nice, restaurant serves good food. The rooms are very small, tiny bathrooms, good Wi-Fi. There were a lots of celebration, graduation and wedding happening at the hotel and it was very noisy until 11pm.

Karen (4/5): Nice property but caters to events - This property is lovely and the staff was great, but this hotel absolutely caters to events. There were loud weddings throughout the day and evening and one night the restaurant was closed due to an event. Hotel guests had to scramble to find a nice place to sit for a meal (and the high tops were not comfortable). Without events, I would stay here again. With events, I would not.
Mr Patrick (8/5): - This is a great place to get away, the property is packed with many activities located on the property, becuase its stationed on a hill it can be quite chilly in the mornings and evening in the room. . A gentle suggestion would be a Split unit or a heater in the rooms to remove the chill, as hard as it is to believe my wife and i got sick 😫 as a result of this, outside of that the place is great! . Would definitely go back!
Verified traveler (4/5): Not worth the price - Beautiful property and the simple twin room was mostly very nice, BUT I wouldn’t recommend or stay here again. There were multiple parties both nights I stayed, replete with DJs, thumping bass music, kids popping balloons and it lasted until after 11pm both nights. I had a room between the 2 parties so I got blasted with Christian songs from one side and pop music and a DJ talking on the other side. On the second night my room didn’t have water. I alerted the front desk (Shakira is amazing) and was told that it would be on within 15 mins. Two hours and four trips to the front desk later, I got fed up and showered in the pool house. The manager hid in his office and made the poor desk staff deal with my repeated complaints and questions. Dinner at The Avocado House was good, breakfast was okay. Also, beds were saggy in the centre. I would not recommend this place.
ShannAnnes_Travels (8/5): Great location & service BUT very loud. - Best restaurant in Uganda. But my word! Bring your ear plugs. The hotel is located perfectly in the city and hidden away from the noise and traffic. They just happen to host 10 events on the same day that go until 11pm in the evening and they are loud. I’m saying that. The staff is sweet and accommodating and remembered us by name. The rooms were decent. However the food was superb. That lemon coriander soup was a highlight of my whole trip for me. Stunning stunning stunning. The hotel itself is well maintained and pretty. What was super special was the fact that we had to leave the hotel at 5:30 and would only be back at 6pm that evening. They made us a snack bag so that we wouldn’t get hungry during the day. That was lovely. Thank you.
luc_victor_jr (10/5): Rustic, restful, overall amazing - If you are in the mood for something rustic, and bucolic, but restful, homey and comfortable - Forest Cottages is right for you. Located in a quiet residential area of Kampala, up in the hills, this place can be comfortably cool and safe. The rooms are functional and the bed is comfortable. The furniture is well organized and not cluttered. The staff are very respectful, helpful and accommodating. The services are impeccable.
meltemyasar2000 (6/5): Very central, very basic rooms. - Nice breakfast, nice dining area, green lush garden… Being at the center of the nice areas of the city made our life very easy. Rooms were very small, did not look like the photos on the website. There was no hot water for the three days I stayed. I will definitely stay again, but ask for bigger and better rooms and make sure the hot water is running.
ArmandoBoni (8/5): Small but clean - The room we got was pretty small but at least it was clean and beds were comfortable. The location of the hotel was central and close to other points of interest in Kampala. The Recepsionist were very friendly and helpful. If you have a heavy luggage be aware to lift it many stairs up to the room:)
davidtD1848NS (6/5): Nice Surroundings - Nice surroundings if you wanted to sit outside. Food was good as was the wifi. Room was clean and tidy and pleasant looking. However, no armchair, just a hardbacked chair or sit on the bed and no wardrobe, just some hooks over the bed. Shower was very difficult to get in and out of as it was in a very narrow space. Continual music until quite late with other noise late at night from beyond the hotel.

CharlieBeau (8/5): Surprisingly good pasta carbonara - Surprisingly good pasta carbonara. It wasn't presented in a very pretty way (just a big lump of pasta) but it was tasty. The portion was huge (and I had to make sure I didn't let myself eat it all!) The dish cost 35k ugx. My friends had a curry dish; another had the fried chicken twice in one week meaning; it was that good. We had a good evening but service was slow (I had to keep looking for staff). There were two weddings going on at the time however, there were plenty of staff... I saw five or more of them just watching the wedding!

karenm635 (6/5): My First Choice in Kampala - Forest Cottages has always been the only place I'll stay in Kampala. The lush grounds make us feel like we're miles from the city, even though we're surrounded by it. The rooms are a bit odd and awkwardly constructed, and some of the showers defy logic, but the kind and competent staff, and the excellent meals make up for those shortcomings. My most recent stay was in June/July, having not been able to travel since 2018, and this quiet oasis has apparently become Private Party Central. Non-stop, all hours, several going on at once. The noise level was ridiculous. Management is apparently unwilling or unable to apply any sort of guidelines regarding sound levels or cut-off times. It was a very disappointing return to a place I love, and I will have to reconsider whether to stay here again on future trips.
PlymouthPete19 (8/5): Everything you need for an overnight in Kampala - My son & I stayed for a night as the first night of a tour of Uganda. The staff were very friendly and efficient and clearly used to working well in tandum with our tour company. The room was rather small but comfortable and clean with a good shower in the en-suite bathroom and a safe. We choose a biryiani for dinner and this was excellent! The hotel's bar and resturant areas are pleasant and quite spacious with a number of choices for sitting and enjoying a drink or eating. Breakfast was ok but food cam out in drips and drabs. We didn't visit Kampala from here so can't comment on location, but if you just want a base to start a trip, everything is on site here.
Casey (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE. I kept my two suitcases behind the front desk for about 8 hours on the day that I checked out before I took a car to the airport. (They do not have a luggage room.) I had luggage locks on both suitcases. When I returned to pick up my bags, one luggage lock was missing, and the other had been broken off. I had nothing valuable in the suitcases, and nothing (from what I can tell) was taken. I called the hotel management, and they said they asked their employees if they did it. Since all the employees denied breaking into the suitcases, they said it didn't happen. What was otherwise an ok stay was ruined by this experience.
piddie1 (6/5): No coffee - A good quiet place with nice ambiance if you need some alone or private time. The tree covers makes it heavenly However they serve only instant coffee. I was disappointed in that regard . It needs to do better.

But the cottages wow there phones do not work at all so you either have to walk back to the reception and make an order......whereby that sort of thing is supposed to be in lodges which are in Gameparks 😁anyway then the toilet is not good ....please please Work on your cottages...I mean you have so many properties at least get the Forest cottages Worked on so well because the Ambience is good .....forests ....birds....so it is really really important you attend to the complaints.

ritah2007 (4/5): Not the best hotel - The hotel runs serious campaigns online. Marketing is great but don't be fools. Those rooms are budget, smelly. So many supermarkets a few meters away they had the audecity to offer us a little soap that even an average lodge would not offer. At breakfast roaches were running around the breakfast table, linen looked dirty. I had a nasty feel. It was supposed to be our wedding night. I would not imagine such a feeling ever again. We ended up checking out soonest.
560belindam (8/5): Woodland hotel in the city... - Ugandan-run hotel with a mix of cottages and rooms in a wooded setting with resident green vervet monkeys and lots of birds. We love the quirky nature of the accommodation (in the cottages). The friendly staff always make us feel welcome and we are happy to return on all our trips to Uganda.
Morris (8/5): I recommend with a warning. - It's pretty to look at. Lots of wood if your into that, it's near a nice club, Cayenne. Ppl were polite. The breakfast was simple and a hot meal but it taste good. Negatives; so so many stairs, from my car to my room, 82 steps and no elevator. If you have bad knees, if you are old, this is not the place for you. Very many mosquitos so I used the mosquito net they provided. I would start here again. The price was only $55 per night. But I have good knees and I like the exercise.
679kathak (8/5): Quiet place with good dinner, breakfast average - We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of our safari through Uganda. We arrived very early in the morning (6am) from the airport and they first of all messed up the booking, so we had to sleep i the wrong rooms the first night. The second night we had better, but still very small rooms. To access the shower you had to use stairs. The service is friendly but a bit slow. The breakfast buffet was only average.

UKAdvetureseeker (8/5): Pleasant stay - We stayed for 3 nights, the hotel was in a great spot for heading out to Jinja and a nice safe neighbourhood, the grounds were very pleasant, the public areas of the hotel also very pleasant, the food from the restaurant menu was excellent, highly recommend the vegetable curry, however the breakfast was very basic. We were however very disappointed with our room, it was clean, however it was very tiny, in particular the bathroom barely had space to stand, the pictures may be of the cottages and they look lovely, we were extremely cramped with no where to sit in rooms above the bar. I was quite shocked to return to my room on one occasion to find domestic staff sat on the bed watching tv!

Jonathan (10/5): Good for the soul - Forest Cottages is unique - a peaceful, forested oasis of calm in the chaos of Kampala. But still fairly central. Service fantastic, cottages lovely. I wouldn't stay in a normal room here.....only book a cottage. If they are available I only ever stay here when I stay in Kampala
Jonathan (10/5): An oasis in the trees - This really is an oasis of calm in Kampala. Spend a little extra and get a cottage. And then recharge your batteries in peace and your bellies with the excellent breakfast. Fairly close to everything but far enough away to be quiet.
Beau (8/5): - May be the last bit of forrest left in the city on this small property. I didn't see the monekys this visit. The cabins are fun and enjoyable, (get a cabin if you can) but the single rooms leave a lot to be desired, but good for very basic single occupancy. Love the place in general. Hotel staff are always friendly, and the place has a very unique lodge feel. I will go back for sure. If you have balance issues, or mobility challenges, this is not the place for you.
Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful. That's a big plus. Forest Cottages needs to add on amenities for the handicapped. The staircases, especially in the two-bedroom cottage where I stayed, are not convenient for the elderly, the handicapped, and small children.There is a possibility of a serious accident or accidents. You need to work on those staircases,both outside and inside, as soon as possible.Once that issue is resolved, you will be able to get more clients though you may have to increase room charges.

Jonathan (10/5): An oasis of calm - Forest Cottages is unique - a small and safe oasis of calm in the chaos of Kampala. I have stayed here many times and it is great value for money. I always stay in a cottage and not a room because they offer space and privacy. Breakfast is good and plentiful and the staff do their best. Parking is secure. You can also use the facilities of the nearby Kabira Club. Highly recommended.
Mimiinnj (8/5): - Nice change from city hotels, with a green and quiet atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable with nice bedding. The bathroom was tiny but adequate- hot water and a shower curtain, which is not always the case in even more expensive hotels. The building and grounds are constructed of local materials, and there are lots of stairs. The dinner we had was delicious and so was the breakfast.

Beau (8/5): Business trip - This hotel gives you a safari lodge experience, complete with monkeys. The price is great, and the services are good. The property is in the city, but you will feel like you're up country in the bush. This is my new favorite Kampala hotel.

It rained one night and the whole cottage leaked, both upstairs and downstairs beds were wet. Switched cottages, that ones toilet flooded. Really could use some upgrades. Wouldn’t stay again.

Breakfast could be improved but other restaurant food was amazing. Cool, shaded common area, and large outdoor area in the shade. Highly recommended over other more expensive options. Colton (8/5): Oasis in the city - Kampala can be an overwhelming city, especially in the city centre. Staying at Forest Cottages really makes you feel like you are in another world. The grounds are beautiful; sitting out by the patio or on the lawn at night is wonderful. My wife and I had a small twin room that was cozy and comfortable. The staff here are incredibly helpful and approachable, from check-in to the restaurant staff to the management. Some of the best customer service I've had in Uganda. Finally, the food was great. We had a light snack at the restaurant during our first night, then dinner on the last night. Both meals were delicious. Breakfast was very good, with an extensive selection of well prepared food.

Warkworth (8/5): Unique Hotel unlike any other! - Very different designed hotel offering cottages and rooms for singles. Room 11 was basic with nice view of the property foliage. Fans and netting provided. Some rooms have safes but didn't use it. Traffic can be heard at night; however, just turn up the fan...and voila...peaceful sleep. Warkworth (6/5): Nice 2* - Beds are very good with mosquito nets and fans. Hot water and some rooms have safes. The breakfast is very nice and the vegetable curry was excellent at dinner. Near a busy road; however, turn the fan up when sleeping. Staff is their asset. Room 11 is nice as has a view. At the bottom of the street is a local supermarket and a mall is just a short cab away. MR NAIM (2/5): Not suitable for elderly or retired couples - We arrived about 1700 hours LT on 26th November 2016. We were impressed the way we were welcome.Staff was courteous and friendly. We were shown round and we were disappointed with layout, room condition and kitchen units were not only broken but unhygienic.

Bathroom was clean but hard to use - everything was jammed into an unnecessarily tiny space. I'll never stay at this place again b/c it wasn't worth the money.
Captain (10/5): Great hotel for the price! - I've stayed and visited several hotels in Kampala, Forest Cottages is by far my favorite. The atmosphere is relaxed, the wifi is free and fast, the breakfast is simple and delicious, and I feel as though the staff really goes out of their way to serve. I was working in lounge for several hours one morning and each staff member who walked by quietly greeted me and asked if I needed anything. In my most recent stay, I forgot my wallet/phone/passport holder in my taxi. Once I realized it, I told the receptionist. I broke out my computer, tracked down the driver's number, and asked the used the house phone. The receptionist didn't hesitate. She got me an outside line and handed me the phone. From my previous experiences in small/medium sized, African hotels, the receptionist would tell me they needed to check with a manager to get permission to make a call. I always feel as thought the employees at Forest Cottages are empowered to make my stay pleasant.

Mohammed (10/5): Forest Tranquility - The cottages are perfect with all the amenities, The staff are great and the manager Mr. Dhaval is exceptional. changed my dates without extra charge. accommodated an extra bed in the living room. The access to the Kibira Country Club is a deal by it self to Pool, Sauna , Steam and message facilities. The cottages are kept very clean and although mosquito nets are provided we did not see any mosquitoes. Overall an perfect place to relax and just unwind the stress off in Kampala in a quite tranquility with forest atmosphere.
Adeboye (6/5): 3 Nights At The Forest Cottage, March, 2015 - The Duty Managers were extremely helpful.I arrived ahead of the checking in time and I was settled in well by the Night Manager. The Day manager also went out of his way to help me link up with the rest of my team though they were in a different hotel. My only disappointment was being presented with a lunch bill which was not mine while checking out by one of the female receptionists. The mistake was immediately detected.

Kevin (10/5): Great Value Hideaway - Quirky and unique - the Forest Cottages provide a peaceful hideaway from the hustle and bustle of Kampala. We stayed in a one bedroom cottage - it was quite, peaceful and a great place to relax. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms clean. The property is well situated and a short walk from Cayene Restaurant and the Kabira Country Club. The tariff is also very reasonable. Only complaints were the poor wifi and television reception in the rooms.
Steven (10/5): A small gem hidden among the trees in Kampala - This is really a little gem of a hotel. It's inexpensive, and not your normal business hotel. Instead, your room looks out into the trees, where there are interesting birds making their tropical calls. The window is left open all day. Service is excellent - the staff is friendly, competent, and really cares about your well-being. It's quiet and peaceful. The food was good. So was the bar. And people there are nuts about the Premier League, which was fun. So I heartily recommend this hotel.
Sumit (8/5): A Good hotel - This was my 2nd visit to Forest cottage. Apart from Good landscape and beautiful location, what makes this hotel perfect is the manager Mr. Dhaval, who had once again upgraded my room. My request for vegetarian food was met for 5 days, during my stay at the hotel.
Ella (8/5): Overall- Great mix of rustic and contemporary - Cottage hotel was truly a refuge for me especially after being in a tiny village after my mission for 6 months. I researched where I wanted to stay and wanted a forrest like atmosphere but with access to the amenities that I missed like the pool, gym and sauna. cottage hotel was perfect for my stay and transition back to the world. Well priced and very attentive staff particularly Moses and Gift. There was an internet problem at first that was not the fault of the hotel but the weather and system in general. The manager was accommodating even finding me a room to stay after extending one more day. The internet resolved and much better. The positives - I have mentioned already. A few negatives: The food could def be better and very expensive. I would suggest taking a ride to near by acasia mall and finding better food there. There were less attentive staff but having a few like Moses and Gift just made my stay better. The laundry service was extremely expensive and would suggest just waiting to wash them. The near by country club and access to their amentities and the quaint cottage environment definitely made this hotel on top of list I will def go back to and telling all my colleagues that stay in Kampala. Overall I cannot complain about my experience with Forrest cottage. Thank you for making my vacation special and will return in the future.
josh (4/5): Over priced and out dated. - The hot water didn't work and the shower didn't drain. This took 2 days of workers constantly coming in and out of the room to fix the problem. The beds were uncomfortable, mattresses were stained, and the bed nets had holes. The kitchenette hot plate was broke. The windows didn't close completely and some were without locks. The outside grounds looked nice & the ugandan workers are very helpful and nice, but the quality of the inside rooms were terrible. We booked the 3 bedroom cottage. Since we booked flights for only 2 ppl Expedia automaticly documented the cottage would be for only 2 ppl. We met with a friend and small Children. when we arrived the owner said the maximum amount of people would be 5. ( 2 ppl Per room would make sense) We had small children and were charged extra for a foam stained pad to be used as a bed.
Colin (6/5): Room Maintenance Leaves Something To Be Desired - The room was just adequate. Pity that the lamp did not work, that the single socket near the front door was faulty, the double socket between the beds was loose and that the door handle fell off. Apart from that all OK. The restaurant food was excellent. Do not think we would ever go again though.
Peter (6/5): Value-for-Money - It was a very quaint boutique type hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately I got a single room in the Jacaranda Cottages which are the smallest 'on-suites' in Kamapala I am sure! However, the hotel did offer to give me a bigger room once their mid-week 100% occupancy came to an end. would definitely go back there, but would ask for a bigger room! The rayes are very reasonable compared to some of the over-priced hotels in Kamapla.
LK (10/5): Beautiful garden setting - The staff treated me very well; I loved my tiny (single) room, it was small but like a treehouse, with windows all around yet still very private since it was at the end of a row of hotel units. No balcony but a private entranceway and beautiful views. I left curtains open since no one could see in and woke up to sounds of birds and view of the trees all around me. The hotel is not luxurious--on the "rustic" side--but is very comfortable and clean and has character. I made excellent use of the Kariba Country Club (swimming, working out in the gym) which is only a 5 minute walk away. The hotel is not in the centre of the city but it's really not too far away and "downtown" can be easily accessed by share taxi or boda boda. The breakfast buffet is only average but certainly adequate. I highly recommend this hotel to all visitors to Kampala.

We stayed in a two-bedroomed cottage, which was absolutely charming. En-suite bathroom with each bedroom, good wifi service. The only thing that could make it better would be to have some type of screen door leading to the cottage, to keep the mozzies out.
Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place up in the Kampala hills - The cottages are nice, the smaller twin rooms less so. We stayed in a cottage on our first visit, and it was large and comfortable. On our return, we had booked a regular room, and were given a small twin with torn screens. We asked and were moved to a much nicer and larger room with a view, and wondered why we weren't put there in the first place, as it was available. The breakfast is great, with a really friendly staff, and the ability to use the nearby country club is a nice touch as well.

No much the hotel can do about it though. My stuff was safe with the staff. The second room we had with a double twin had no water pressure at all so no real shower for a week.
Dr. Ohayo-Mitoko (6/5): Great Location BUT poor maintenance! - The Location is great and accessible but a very noisy surrounding with loud music every night, great breakfast, wonderful friendly and helpful staff but poor maintenance of facilities, especially in the rooms. We stayed in two separate rooms that had the bathrooms flooded from toilet water (scary with the ebola pandemic!), the towels and bed sheets were brown rather than white and threadbare, having been previously used by the Sheraton hotels and the general cleanliness of the rooms was wanting. There is urgent need for the hotel to have a working telephone!
Sam (4/5): Warning about Single Std Room - I spent five nights in a single standard room, the cheapest option available. Be warned, they are tiny rooms that are completely unsatisfactory. My three suitcases took up all the floor space. There was no desk. The curtains did not cover the whole window. I immediately asked for a change of room, which was slightly bigger but had no wardrobe and still had no desk. The neighbourhood is noisy and earplugs are advised. HOWEVER - baffled by all the positive reviews I'd previously read, I asked to view the actual 'forest cottages'. And they look stunning - spacious and well equipped. So, go for the more expensive options (1 or 2 bed cottages). Lastly, staff were immensely friendly, food was superb, WiFi was constant and a fair speed for Uganda, there was always hot water, and the forest setting was novel and attractive.
Sumit Mishra (10/5): Great Hotel, Good Service - Good Hotel with a good manager. I was pleasantly surprised, when at the time of check in, my room was upgraded to a cottage. The service was good and so are views from the cottage, which was well maintained with all basic amenities in place.
Pato (8/5): Go for the cottages - My stay was enjoyable. Next time I will insist on staying in the cottages as those close to the main entrance can be noisy from loud music coming from pubs around the corner.
NS (6/5): pros and cons - Overall a good spot with good management. Access to a great health club/pool via the country club a few minutes walk down the road. Guards were good too - were careful to call boda boda drivers and taxis they trusted when traveling at night and even took down their license #. A few frustrations, though - set up an airport pickup when coming in at night and no one showed up. Description of room I got on Hotels.com said my room would have a balcony - it didn't. Had to change rooms since mine wasn't ready when I got there. Not ideal for business travelers - thin walls and lots of noise til' late every night from a disco that's next door. I think they're trying to speak with the club's management to see what can be done but no solution yet.

nikrang (6/5): Forest in the city. - The hotel is in a nicely wooded area,but the rooms and loo were a bit run down,food was mediocre,staff friendly and polite.we were on the top floor and getting there is a bit of a wheez,especially after dinner and a couple of beers.linen was grubby ,but they changed it when requested. Otherwise good for a couple of nights for the price.
