• Phil and Jen (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay in Slano at Vila Riva. Large apartment with a comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Beautiful gardens, swimming pool and views. We arrived by bus from Dubrovnik and the bus stop is just a couple of minutes away. Supermarkets (2) are poorly stocked but there are a few good restaurants serving food. The beach is across the road in front of a large hotel, and it appears that the hotel could shut their gates effectively cutting off the beach from non guests. If you can get on the beach, beware the 25 euros charge for sunbeds 😲

• Anna (10/5): Great stay! - We had a ground floor apartment, which meant easy access to the pool and the parking area. Everything was clean and tidy, plenty of toilet rolls and all other basics included. Kitchen was well equipped for self catering but there were also lots of local restaurants a moments walk away. A very peaceful week indeed. Would stay again!

Obsługa miła i życzliwa. Piękne tarasy z jednej i drugiej strony pozwalały spędzać wieczory z pięknym widokiem. Basen bardzo zadbany i czysty. Polecamy całym serduchem❤️

Super organizzazione e disponibilità del personale che anche alle ore 22 è intervenuto per preparare il letto a mia figlia in quanto abbiamo prenotato un last minute. Contento elegante con una bella piscina pulita e ordinata oltre al giardino e un uliveto ben curati. Parcheggio compreso all interno della struttura quindi molto sicuro

• Janet (10/5): Unexpected gem - This wonderful property surpassed all our expectations: location (seafront), view (sea view with sun setting over bay), size of room (bigger than it looked on the photos), garden and pool (beautiful) and facilities (air con, well stocked kitchenette with dishwasher, great shower, free pool towels etc.). There was free parking but we didn’t need it as the local bus (12) stopped a couple of minutes walk away. We ate on the terrace looking out over the sea (groceries available from supermarket next door) and lounged by the pool (plenty of sun loungers and parasols). The local restaurants were great with prices matching Dubrovnik. We absolutely loved it here and wished we could stay longer. What a gem!

Pokoje jsou skvěle vybavené, včetně pračky. Personál vždy usměvavý. Letos Slano 18.rok, naše děti tu vyrostly, jezdíme s člunem, lze kotvit poblíž. Restaurace Kolarin je naše srdcovka. Máme rezervaci na rok 2026.

• Steven (10/5): Great apartment in Slano - We stayed for 4 days but wished it was longer. Slano is a beautiful village a short bus ride (number 12) from Dubrovnik. The people are friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed quiet few days in this relaxing little town. The last day coincided with the town festival (August 1st & 2nd) which was a great family friendly experience. The apartment itself is amazing value and we had a brilliant stay.
• Adrian (9/5): Perfect, relaxing getaway in a beautiful town - We arrived earlier than expected but the apartment was ready for us and the lovely girls on reception handed over the keys straight away. The room was much bigger than expected with a view to die for! The property was lovely and quiet, with a great pool that had lots of sunbeds that could easily be moved in and out of the shade for when it all got a bit too hot. There wasn't any information in the room regarding cleaning or towel changes but when we needed the towels to be changed, the ladies did it straight away so I guess it works on a 'ask and you can have it' basis, which suited us fine. Slano is generally quite a sleepy little town, with a few restaurants all serving pretty much the same food, a large(ish) supermarket and a small supermarket. Don't waste your money buying expensive water as the water in the apartment is perfectly safe to drink. One thing to note - in the week that we were there, there were two nights (Thursday and Sunday) where island cruise ships moored outside the apartment (about 10 of them), with everyone getting off and either jumping on buses (presumably to go to Dubrovnik) or staying in the town. They also brought with them a live music group who set up just outside the apartments, and played loud music until 11pm (generally 80's and 90's music). To be fair to them, they did stop at 11pm but people with young children should be aware that this will happen as it was very loud and there was no chance of sleeping through it, but if you wanted to join in then of course it was there for free. Overall we had a lovely stay and cannot recommend the apartments enough - lovely staff, great value for money and Slano is very beautiful to stay in. We didn't mind the loud music but it could be an issue for some. The lack of restaurants / choice of meals was a bit restrictive, and after a week we had eaten at most of them twice. The supermarkets were expensive but I guess if you go to Croatia you shouldn't be surprised at this, as in general the cost of living is quite high.

• DENIA (10/5): The perfect stay! - It's the perfect stay. Facilities were complete and super clean. Room was spacious, well organised, all items you need for a long stay with family, washing machine, dishwasher, big fridge, iron and iron board, hairdryer, bathroom with shower and bath, microwave, tv, wifi, private parking space, swimming pool, right in front of the promenade. To enter, you receive a code to open the door. If the staff members are gone (they are usually not there in the afternoon), you can find your room keys in the envelopes by the desk with your name on and all instructions you need. It's contactless, but functional and it works for us. They even had a first aid kit and a fire blanket in the room, plus a safe. Besides that, you have the garden views from the swimming pool with the church. We all loved it and wanna come back! There's absolutely nothing to complain. I would only warn people sensitive to noise that sometimes during the weekend there's some music in the port area in front of us. That never bothered us, quite the opposite. Music was quite good and it felt like a private show. Plus, the ships park right there as well and some might get upset for "losing" the view, but again that didn't really matter to us.

• Jonna (8/5): Kiva majoitus uima-altaalla ja keskeisellä sijainnilla, valitettavasti kuitenkin meluisa. - Uima-allas ja parkkipaikka olivat plussaa. Sijanti hyvä. Siisti huone ja majoituspaikka muutenkin. Hyvän sijainnin vuoksi, kuului kadulta kauheasti meteliä. Satamassa oli laivoja iltaisin, sekä joku esiintyjäkin. Sänky oli rungon vuoksi liian pieni, pitkällä ihmisellä jalat osuu sängynpäätyyn ja pitää nukkua kulmittain. Ilmastointilaitteesta myöskin kuului kauhea meteli, vaikka laite oli pienmmällä. Nämä kaikki vaikutti, että melko huonosti tuli nukuttua.
• Dmytro Styran (10/5): Beautiful place to come back again and again - Just a beautiful place in the small town of Slano. The apartment has everything that might be needed in everyday life. Fully equipped kitchen corner, a bathroom with shower, bathtub and washing machine. A wonderful terrace the access to which we had directly from our apartment number 8. There are lots of good things to say about this place. And it is definitely worth it to come back again! I can't say that I really didn't like the following things but they didn't bother me. You just have to know that it is true from other comments that the water temperature in the bathroom is not stable. And during our 5 night stay there were two concerts in the square right in front of the Vila they ended around 11pm. The pillows were not too comfy

• Roy (10/5): Great apartment in a beautiful town - Everything!😁 Slano is a lovely, peaceful small town and Vila Riva is positioned right on the front overlooking the Adriatic sea. The apartment was perfect for us and the gardens/swimming pool was an added bonus. A 40minute, 3.5euro bus trip into Dubrovnik made Slano a great decision to be away from the very busy City. Nothing.

Sa procelja objekat ima direktan pogled na more, a sa zacelja, veliko privatno dvoriste sa bazenom, parkingom i ozelenjenom povrsinom kojom se kroz stazu sa kolonadom pristupa objektu (idealno za napraviti fenomenalne fotografije i uspomene). Osoblje ljubazno i susretljivo, sve uredno i cisto. Tople preporuke za ovaj smjestaj.

• Manuel (10/5): Schickes Villa-Flair! - Trotz vergessenem, nicht vorbereitetem 3. Bett für uns drei, wurde dieses blitzschnell hergerichtet. Man hatte sich dafür natürlich entschuldigt und das war für mich nicht schlimm. Im Gegenteil: sehr freundlicher Empfang und Umgang, immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen. Die Lage und das Villa-Flair waren sehr schön. Einen separaten, geschützten Parkplatz zu haben und nach einem Ausflugstag die Möglichkeit zu haben, noch in den Pool zu gehen war auch super! Leider haben die Fenster nicht sehr gut Geräusche von draußen abgedichtet, sodass man in der Frühe schon vorbeifahrende Autos und Motorroller gut hören konnte (ich war da aber schon wach, weil ich immer früh wach werde, daher nicht ganz so schlimm). Ab dem 2. Tag gab es unweit unserer Unterkunft eine Baustelle, wobei die Straße erneuert wurde (Presslufthammer etc.), wofür Vila Riva aber nichts kann.

• Bill (9/5): - We reserved a "Comfort Studio with an Ocean View". That room was not available when we checked in and so we were "upgraded" to a two-bedroom unit with no view. The staff seemed unconcerned about this mix-up and so I have rated this as a "9" instead of a "10". The unit that we were put in worked out OK and was very convenient to the pool, which was very nice. The parking was very convenient and was in a gated parking lot right behind the hotel. We liked the location and walked around the corner and up a hill to a very nice "locals" beach. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but there are cafes within short walking distance. We enjoyed our brief stay in Slano.

• Dina (10/5): - Sehr Sauber, perfekte Lage keine 50 Meter weiter befinden sich Restaurants, Lebensmittel Läden und der Strand . Der Strand ist nicht überfüllt . Das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Kostenloser Parkplatz direkt hinter der Villa . Immer wieder sehr gerne !

• CORINNE (8/5): - Nous avons réservé un studio pour 3 et pas de drap pour le canapé lit. Pas de drap à la réception. Après une perte de 30 minutes, nous avons eu un autre logement. Pas de gel douche

• Sean V (10/5): Villa Riva 3rd stay - Everything, the property, the location, the staff. This is our 3rd year in a row staying at Villa Riva, we travel around Croatia & Bosnia for a couple weeks and then we use Villa Riva as a place to chill out for a few days before we fly back to the UK. The staff on site in the mornings can not do enough to ensure your stay is perfect, they are brilliant. This trip we were given a room that we had not had before and unfortunately it did not fit our needs being a ground floor apartment with windows out on to a parking area. We used the contact Whatsapp provided for any issues and within 45 minutes the room issue was sorted and we were moved. Fantastic service. From then on our stay was just as perfect as the other occasions we have stayed at 'Villa Riva'. This property will remain our first choice for the end of all of our trips to Croatia. Nothing at all, the property, the location, the staff are all perfect.
