- Catherine (10/5): Perfect spot for a short break. Lovely staff. - Position, style and that after a long drive there is a bar and in house dining on site. Very friendly welcoming staff. Nil.
- Janie64 (10/5): Lovely overnight stay - The hotel is ideally situated for Fistral Beach and Newquay town. All within 10 minute walk. Google maps said 20 but it's not. Added bonus of car parking to. Breakfast was lovely, buffet style which I love and a sea view whilst having breakfast. All staff from all levels helpful, friendly and attentive. The hotel has an amazing team. Not the hotels fault but the weather was rubbish, good old British weather.

The beds were really comfy, the spa facilities were lovely, and overall the hotel had a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the stay was ruined by being woken up multiple times during the night by people banging on doors and shouting in the hallways. I’ve been awake since 5:40am because of the noise, which was really disappointing and took away from what could have been a relaxing stay. Being woken up multiple times in the night

Some seem to lack customer service training. A simple smile and “can do” attitude would be good. This was most noticeable at breakfast. Such an easy thing to sort and would make the world of difference. Eg a young lad tried his best to avoid eye contact so he didn’t have to do anything and then when I asked for coffee he said he didn’t know how to do that and needed to ask someone else! Several had glum faces. Some very helpful.

Breakfast on previous visits had been a better selection. I asked for a poached egg and was told no it’s scrambled or fried, the scrambled egg didn’t look appealing.

We were directed towards the bar, waited for 10 minutes, but no barman there so we went back to the foyer to wait. Bathroom had a dirty drain smell the first morning, it went away when we used the shower. Reported it to reception, but had the same issue the next morning.

Swam everynight and finished off in the jacuzzi . The hotel also smelt wonderful which we found out was a local cornish made scent of bergamont and ginger. Absolutely nothing !!!!

- C T (6/5): Filthy windows full of bird excrement spoilt our view and stay especially when combined with the fousty smell when you g - The staff were lovely Filthy windows and full of birds poop which was disgusting so we couldn’t go near or see our beautiful sea view from our room which was the entire point of going away and travelling 4 hours one way to get to!! There was a fousty smell when you get into the bed and breakfast was dreadful - I’ve never seen such disgusting scrambled eggs left to look even worse so nobody touched them!!
- C T (4/5): Mattress had sunk in the middle so not a good sleep and porridge was the worst I’ve ever had!! - The staff and the room was okay - nice sea views The mattress was two single beds pushed together and the mattress had sunk in the middle so you roll off into the middle of the bed so we had an uncomfortable sleep!! The porridge at breakfast was cheap and nasty!!! Not as described!! Breakfast is not good here!! The pool is very shallow!! The jacuzzi needed a good clean!!!
- Christiane (8/5): Atlantic Hotel - Zimmer mit dem Aufzug erreichbar. Parkplatz am Hotel. Zimmer war eher klein. Fenster war undicht und Zugluft kam durch. Zimmer mit Seeblick war gebucht, aber das Fenster war mit Kleberesten sehr verschmutzt.

- Anders (8/5): - A seasoned vintage seaside hotel with a magnificent view and a very friendly, hard working and service minded staff. Unfortunately, the hard working front office staff is let down by the technical service tram, resulting in some weird phenomena, like a shower cabin where you are not able to reduce the temperature of the 80° water flowing out of the shower head.

I already had a booking for the 3rd , but they had reserved it for 4th so there was a slight hassle in the beginning but they managed to give us a room.

- Claire (8/5): - Beautifully views from our room and could sit out on the balcony which was lovely. Dessert at the hotel was amazing definitely recommend the sticky toffee pudding. Breakfast was lovely, asked for poached eggs which they kindly accommodated. Restaurant staff so friendly and kind. All staff were lovely, tho one reception lady quite frosty, told check in at 3.30pm. Spoke to the lady about something else in the morning, didn't even look up from computer to speak to me. Our room not ready untill nearly an hour after check in, another receptionist apologetic, rang to chase up what the issue was, no explanation as to what the delay was but appologised. As others have said hotel does appear tired in some areas and needs abit of TLC, but also it is a very old building! They are currently having a referb so look forward to coming back and seeing the improvements!

- Aylett (10/5): ATLANTIC HOTEL 🏨 - EVERYONE WAS SO HELPFUL AND ANYTHING YOU NEEDED ALWAYS TRIED TO GET IT FOR YOU VERY CLEAN AND PRETTY THERE LOVE DOGS 🐕 AND LEAVE YOU BAGS BEB AND WATER BOWL. WE HAVE BEEN THERE 4 TIMES NOW AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN LOOKED AFTER VERY WELL NOTHING IS NO PROBLEM TO THEM WILL BE GOING BACK AGAIN THE PRICES ARE GOOD TO NOTHING

There is an in house restaurant Silks, unfortunately the food was dreadful on my first evening, so bad for first time ever I had to send it back. The rice was rock hard I could not get my knife and fork into it. Basically they just added some new microwaved plain rice and returned it. It was £24 which is relatively high price for small chicken breast and rice! It spoiled my experience.

- delilapipoly (4/5): Disappointing Stay – Great Location but Poor Cleanliness and Maintenance - What I particularly enjoyed about our stay was the warm and attentive staff. They were incredibly welcoming and always greeted us with a smile. The hotel’s location was great, and it clearly has potential, but in its current state, it was very disappointing. Cleanliness was a major issue, especially in the spa area, which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. The jacuzzi water was filthy, with debris floating in it—very unpleasant. The sauna and steam room were also not working properly. Breakfast lacked variety, and the lift was out of order for our entire stay. I had recently undergone knee surgery and we were staying on the top floor, which made things extremely difficult. While we usually prefer a higher floor for the view, and we paid extra for this view, this situation was very upsetting—especially considering there were many elderly guests who likely struggled as well. Throughout the hotel, there were visible signs of poor maintenance, including mould spots and water damage on ceilings in the room, dining area, lobby, corridors, and staircases. My partner booked this stay for my birthday, which made the experience even more disappointing.We travelled over seven hours from Manchester for this stay. I would not recommend this hotel if you are expecting a 4-star standard.
- Raneshia (6/5): I will definitely come back to this hotel just have to get a better room with a nicer view and a more firm bed - The location was good The bedroom wasn’t great as the view was bad and the bed was horrendous as I suffered with lower backache pains so the bed wasn’t helpful throughout my stay.
- Paul (6/5): Lovely place nice staff, it's in-needof some modernization. - It was fine but they ran out of some elements on the second day. Facilities in the room were dated as was the introductry pack, no detail on Internet connections or room cleaning, they cleaned it one day & not the next, then said you needed to put a sign on the door there wasn't any signs, balconies were closed, Bath room had sewage smell which we stopped by covering with a towel, staff were nice but did take their time.
