Guest Reviews
- David (2/5): - The rooms were on two flights of stairs which were not pointed out to us in their advertisement, in spite of handicap space reserved in front of their entrance. No ramp to the front door, nor to the second floor. We are in our mid nighties and to walk fifteen floors to our room, was beyond our capabilities. No elevators or ramps!! Would never recommend this establishment.
- Daniel (2/5): - BE Carefull with billing. The hotel added another charge to my credit card after I checked out. When I called they said it was word and issued a credit. If I did not notice it on my credit card they would have kept it. I have stayed here a few times during the past 3-4 years. The place is very old, dirty carpet, weak internet, sun-basic cable. I will not stay here again.
- David (4/5): - Insufficient staff,
- Isaac (6/5): - Very quiet property. Stains in toilet and running. No staff availability most of the time. Some of the resteraunts were closed. Wi fi was not working well. Tv has very few channels.
- Tyson (2/5): - I arrived at 5:30(check in was 3:00). I had to wait 20 minutes for the check in guy ti make 4 pizzas before he served me. After waiting, they tell me the room isn’t ready and have to send someone to clean it first. So, I wait another 35 min. Then , there is no working TV in the room.
- Kari (8/5): - Clean, comfortable and inexpensive.
- linda (6/5): - Basic accommodation, it's okay but dated and the TV didn't work
- Yagnesh (4/5): - The customer service is TERRIBLE. The manager was very rude to us and did not assist us with checkout. No clear checkout instructions were provided and no way to contact front-desk at night. Better to pay $100 more and stay elsewhere.
- Jeannelle (2/5): - No power. No emergency lights in stairwell or hallways . Absence of staff to help. No warer.
- Jeremy (2/5): - This place was SKETCHY! We got there around midnight to check in just to find a near-empty parking (just one car) lot and locked doors. We went online and discovered that we had to check in by 10pm (not well advertised at booking). We ended up finding a motel to stay at instead. But frankly, I'm glad we didn't end up staying here. There didn't seem to be any security in the parking lot and the place was in the middle of nowhere.
- Michael (6/5): - Ladybugs in the room as well as lots of dirt that was not swept up.
- Jaslyn (2/5): - We chose this hotel because it was close to where we need to go. The rooms are on the 2nd floor. There is no elevator. The air con wasn't working for the first 2 nights even though we switched to another room on the 2nd night, we couldn't sleep due to the heat. The technician finally fixed the air con on our last night. We found hair in the bath tub when we first went into the room. The staff were nice, if we see them. There was nobody there most of the time. There's no reception area, the reception area is actually part of the restaurant. But the restaurant and food court was not open most of the time we were there.
- Lawrie (6/5): - The rooms were basic. There was not a fridge in the room as ad had stated. The doors were locked upon arrival at 2045 hrs and lights off. Did not answer phone, even though I had a reservation that stated my arrival would be between 2100 and 2200 hrs.
Very very basic room.
- Greg (2/5): - Location to Hudson is good
Book in hours very poor
Cleanliness very poor
Security poor
- Andrea (8/5): - I really loved the bed and bedding
- Anna (10/5): - Overall everything
- Alex (2/5): - Doors were shut when we arrived.
- Jean (8/5): - Friendly staff; given room was not ready when arrived ; simply gave us another room… fine!
- Sylvie (4/5): - ladybugs infestation in the room, the place is in need of some love (wall paper coming off the wall, carpets have seen better days)
- Richard (4/5): - Cleaning staff didnt show up, almost didnt get the room i booked.Carpet was old and tattered.
- Frances (10/5): - Good rate, convient for ourr purposes
- Sylvia (2/5): - Arrived at 9:50 and building was locked up and closed. Restaurant worker confirmed reception closed at 9pm. No one at reception during the confirmed check-in time until 10 pm.. Someone answered the phone but hung up when I advised I was waiting at front desk to check in. Had to try and find another vacancy, which was over 40 minutes away and twice the cost. Extremely poor service.
- Matthew (2/5): - Place was closed when we arrived. Locked and they did not answer the phone.
- Yao (6/5): - The room is very small. And there are a lot of bugs in the room
- Marcelle (4/5): - Need a refresh.. looks old and not maintained
- Yann (6/5): - Location
- Lara (2/5): - Terrible!! We arrived and the door was locked. They were closing up the fast food outlets connected to the hotel and we got in a side door as someone was leaving. The whole facility was filthy! We stepped over turned over garbage cars to get to the door. The floor in the lobby/ fast food outlet was disgusting. Finally found someone to check us in. Couldn’t find a key so she took us to our room. That key didn’t work and we waited in the hallway while she tried to find another one. Once we accessed the room the lights didn’t work and it was unmade and full of someone’s stuff!! The same result with the two other rooms she tried to give us. Refund issued and we went back out in to the night in search of somewhere else to stay.
My daughter said it looked like a flop hotel where teenagers go to have sex. Gross!
- James (4/5): Fast food hotel - Room was old and in need of updating. Vent in bathroom had fuzz hanging off it and the air conditioner didn’t actually cool anything perhaps because the vent was dirty and there was a cigarette jammed inside.
- Lucie (8/5): - Check in and out was fast. Great location
- Teresa (4/5): - The doors were all locked when we arrived at 9pm and we were banging at the doors and no one came. There was a sign that said after 9pm to go to the convenience store across the parking lot. The girl was all confused and didn't know what to do. Then she finally, after pushing us aside to take 3 other customers, she told us she could see the car of the lady in charge and we should go back and knock again. We asked what her name was and she said it didn't matter so I said well how do we know who to ask for and she just shrugged . So we trudged back and began pounding on the glass door, both of us, for about 5 to 7 minutes before the lady who was doing something in the Burger King section finally heard us. Then she couldn't find our reservation. It was all very tiring and we almost left to continue our trip back to Ottawa.
- Diane (4/5): - Air conditionning did not work, wifi so slow we gave up trying, coffee maker needed help to work. It’s a good thing we were only staying one night.
- Parvinder (8/5): - Clean hotel with some hiccups in late check in.
- Vitalii (4/5): - Bad experience. A shower didn't work. Not recommended.
- Holly (10/5): - Great stay!
- Michael (8/5): Had a Great Stay - The Inn had fairly large rooms with comfortable beds. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The Maid was a wonderful young lady who cheerfully took care of us during our stay. The power went out one day (The whole area was out) While we were out she opened windows to keep the rooms cool. Highway noise was noticeably missing. Morning drives to explore the area while waiting for the boys to get themselves together for the day resulted in lovely horse farms and farmland on one side of the highway and beautiful views and old houses down by the river on the other side. Would definitely stay again!
- Donald (2/5): - booked 2 rooms only one available used another hotel.
- Lyne (10/5): - Had a slight issue with the room, it was quickly, and happily corrected. Stayed again 3 days later.
- Lyne (10/5): - Stayed here 3 nights prior on our way through, and again on our way home.... decent place, good rate, but if you can't do stairs, maybe choose somewhere else
- Linda (8/5): - Pleasant, clean, excellent location for our purposes
- Kajan (6/5): - You get what you paid for.
- Miles (2/5): - Very poor, I wouldn’t let a stray dog stay there.
- altin (2/5): - Don't want to talk about it, just forget and never back
- Tom (4/5): Curtains too small, window too leaky, dirty floor - Curtains didn't close completely, and window draft was terrible. We used a towel to block the draft and a hair clip to close the curtain enough to sleep.
- Maria (8/5): Country type hotel on the road to Ottawa. - Clean and neat. A noisy entrance from other guest at midnight.
On-site restaurant for breakfast was convenient with friendly service.
- Nitin (4/5): - Room was smelly
- Nicolas (8/5): - Nice hotel but a lot of beetles in the room
- David (8/5): - Nice restaurant with simple food, comfortable beds
Several areas need paint touch ups or carpet replacement
- GandG (10/5): - Convenient, clean, noise free (major highway nearby), A/C works fine, mini fridge available, food court, good service in general. Well located, Aprox 1hr drive from Ottawa Int Airport/35min from Montreal Int Airport.24hrs convenient store/gas sation nearby. Ski facility in a short distance. Enjoy!
- Heather (2/5): - Shower and television did not work. No one to check us in or sign us out.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was comfortable however the bathroom (shower/tub) was a little on the rough side .
- Cheryl (6/5): One night stay - Location was good for what I had to do, beds are comfortable, lots of towels, it is a little dated and could use some paint and repairs, the reception desk is in the restaurant along with other fast food restaurants so was a little confusing on check in , but was otherwise ok,
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Staff was not friendly, had to walk up stairs with heavy suit case. Trip over the plastic walkway at the door entrance. Heater was not working properly. Would not go there again.
- Suzanne (10/5): Great place to stay - Quiet clean accessible amenities
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location off the highway was perfect, lots of food options available on site and with a gas station and Tim’s in the same parking area who can go wrong! Rooms were clean and nothing unexpected, truly a great rest stop!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The place was clean but we got a note saying no coffee sorry for our second night. We will never go back for the breakfast as we sat for 30 minutes while others got service before I had to go ask for a menu and coffee and orange juice for my son and myself. I had to go up to ask. I'm not sure if it was because spoke English as all the other tables spoke french. I always spoke french when I can but was speaking English with my son.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable and clean - Our stay at Hudson Inn Auberge was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and the room comfortable and very clean. The only drawback was the lack of an elevator. Members of our party had difficulty with the stairs. The staff was helpful there in that they delivered the luggage to the room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - not handicap friendly, all rooms are on second floor with no elevators
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I enjoyed the access to the building from busy roads. The choice of restaurants down stairs. And the easy cancellation if needed.
- Laureen (8/5): Very nice surprise, would stay again - The check in was a bit delayed, but they were very helpful and the rooms were very nicely updated
- Zhang (6/5): - This is a ok place to stay, It's clean enough and outside of the city. The staff constantly multi task. So it's not always that easy to reach someone at the front desk.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Nice Stay - Clean room, friendly staff, good service!
- JJ (6/5): - Good restaurant for breakfast. Good location when visiting the west side of Montreal
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Cleanliness on main floor could use some attention.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Noisey, close to the highway. Room was fine and staff very welcoming. Would have been happier closer to the water.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Thank you so much for making a not so good situation an excellent one, thank you to William, because I had booked my room in May but there was not a reservation for me, gave us an early check in because we had a Wedding at 2 pm. All of our Group had a lovely lunch in your restaurant and your staff were very hospitable and friendly. Thank you for making our stay very enjoyable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was very odd to me that there is no staff after 11 pm. It was certainly not the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in, I believe there was a broken fake fingernail on the floor of the bathroom.
- Steve-o (10/5): - Clean quiet room, friendly staff. Highway rest stop location. Good if you're on the road and need a place for the night.
- Tony (6/5): - Generally speaking it is okay, but its shower tub does not work well.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean - Priced right, easy to find and very clean. Arrived around 10 pm so had to check in at gas station beside building. That was a little awkward and made for very little interaction with staff at all. Pillows need replacing as they were all quite flat. Noise from nearby hwy was loud. Would not stay long term but as we were passing through, would not hesitate to book again.
- dolphin (8/5): - We stayed there for 6 nights and the hotel was comfortable and clean. I was apprehensive when I saw the two highways next to it but did not hear a peep until the last day when AC shut off, It was a hot week and the third day somebody set the AC on auto which woke us up in the middle of the night as it suddenly became too hot inside the room, there were no settings inside the room to turn it on again. The front desk closes at 10 pm so nobody was there to help either. The cleaning staff forgot to leave the coffee packets after two days but we were just too tired to complain. There is a gas station a few steps away and three fast food(Pizza Hut, Subway and Burger King in the same build) and breakfast joint which would give 15% discount. which was very convenient for us.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great hotel for passing through - Over all it's a good place to stay for the night the room was clean and the beds were comfy. The hallway needs a new paint job to freshening it up a bit.
There a food Court on the main floor. Great place
- D (6/5): - Room comfortable and location great.
Check in can be improved.
Hard to locate check in counter, as is between counters of restaurants/fast food. Took some time before we were acknowledged. Same person who flips burgers checks you in.
Serious security issues with regards to credit card information. They write it down on a piece of paper and leave on the counter for anyone to view/take.
- toronto (10/5): - Close to Hwy and restaurants are downstairs..
gas station.. Very good and safe location.
- Frank (10/5): Good location close to meeting place - Easy to find. Excellent breakfast.
Only negative was the noisy air conditioning fan.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ok hotel, very close to highway - Everything is good value for price, IF you don't mind the noise of the #40 hiway about 70 meters away
- Joy (8/5): - Clean, courteous staff, room did not have a working HVAC unit.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Noisy and isolated - I stayed here for 3 nights. The first night I was in a room that faced the highway which was only.about 150 meters away. You can't sleep with the window open and it's still noisy with the window closed. They moved me to a room that did not directly face the highway. There were screaming children running up and down the halls. Their parents were having a party in the hallway. There was snacks and pop cans strewed throughout the stairwell.with pop spilled in the floor. It took at least 12 hours before it was cleaned up.
The staff were only there after 10:00 AM.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Location excellent - Convenient and clean
Location excellent
Parking accessible
Restaurant convenirnz
- Liso (8/5): Nice hotel - We had a one night stay at this hotel. Very clean and staff is excellent. Only downfall is that our room was facing the highway and we could hear the traffic all night and of course, there is always that one idiot who will just floor it and make his engine roar in the middle of the night. Other than that, room was very nice. If you stay here, would recommend you ask for rooms in the back, away from traffic.
- Mahesh (10/5): Nice hotel. good location. right off the highway. - the staff was friedly, professional and good. Got to give a big thunbs up for the shower. I know it is an awkward comment, but the shower is so good at this hotel!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Hotel near Hudson - Location is very convenient. Suited our needs for a short stay.
- john (6/5): - When we arrived we were not impressed with the hotel appearance but I was pleasantly surprised that the room was bright and clean
The beds were better than I expected. Pillows not so much
- Paul (8/5): Great Travel Hotel - The check in was easy and the staff were super friendly. We just left the keys in the room because we checked out early in the morning. Shower had lots of pressure and the beds were very comfortable. Just what you want after a long day on the road :).
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice place. Clean. Well kept. A bit dated. Found that true in other places in Quebec. NO ELEVATOR. That is a problem for older people. Food in the restaurant was very tasty. Service was especially good. Not much around this exit.
- shirley (8/5): Wonderful staff - The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was great. The manager went behind for us.
- B and E (6/5): Convenient and well priced. - This is a 4 corner country location off a busy highway between Montreal and Ottawa. We arrived late night/early morning and was able to pickup the keys at the local gas station from a friendly older gentleman. Lots of parking. Very quiet. Good value for money.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Affordable and convenient - Needed someplace cheap but clean to stay for a couple nights...the Hudson Inn Auberge fit these criteria for me. It was also located in a convenient location close to the highway which made it easy for me to get to the places I needed to go. Overall good value for what I paid for.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great - It was clean, comfortable and at a great price. We also had a 15% discount at the restaurant Eggspectation which is in the same building. It is definitely a good choice.
- Dwight (6/5): Nice place. Not fancy. But comfortable - Good experience we came from Montreal and stayed there before going to Riguad.
was a little apprehensive at first but the room was nice and for a night visit it was fine.
So overall I would recommend this place for one to two nights.
- angela (6/5): It is comfortable - The room is very clean but the cups in the bathroom are very dirty.
- Rocky (2/5): Never fxxk again! - Walk in the room already smell something like body stain, bath room is dirty. If there is not 11pm I would leave this motel right the way.
- Lorraine (8/5): - Staff was very pleasant. The huge keys and key chain were a bit of a nuisance. Wifi was slow.
- Griff (8/5): - convenient to golf course we were playing affordable & clean but only 1 staff to work breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice but no frills - Good location if you don't mind driving. No frills, postage stamp soap bar, midget toilet bowl, and 5 inch mattress, and no phones in the rooms.
- karen (8/5): Convenient for a one night stopover - We stayed one night on our way through from Tadoussac to Toronto. Check-in was quick. The room was spacious and clean. Our particular room faced the highway and we did hear every vehicle that passed. I think a room away from the road would have been quieter. There were 3 flights of stairs to get up and no elevator which caused a bit of a problem for a member of the family with mobility issues. Below the rooms are a variety of fast food restaurants. There is also a fine dining restaurant a couple of minutes along the road (Restaurant Rube). Breakfast is available at the hotel in Eggcellent. Hotel guests receive a 15% discount. All the restaurants close around 9:00pm so there was no noise from below, but there was also no one at the check-in desk. Wifi was very unreliable. We could not connect until the morning and then it would frequently drop. All the staff we met were exceedingly friendly and helpful.
- Mary (10/5): Great stay - A great little place to stay close to Rigaud. Very comfy and clean. Well priced.
- Jim (8/5): Convenient location - Welcoming staff was superb. Room was pleasant, but guests with difficulty climbing stairs (like me) should note that the rooms are above a restaurant complex, and require climbing.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient location - Welcoming staff was superb. Room was pleasant, but guests with difficulty climbing stairs (like me) should note that the rooms are above a restaurant complex, and require climbing.
- Robert (8/5): Convenient & clean hotel - The staff were very friendly, the hotel was conveniently located and clean, and the restaurant attached was terrific for breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
- Anna (10/5): - Stuff was very friendly. We needed only one night and I was surprised to get such a lovely room.
