- John (1/5): There was no stay! I PAID for a room with Cockroaches. Rented elsewhere and no refund given for this - There is nothing to like! Cockroaches were in that room! Did not stay. Rented ELSEWHERE! No refund given by Booking.com Cockroaches prevented me from staying there! I paid for a room that I could not stay in due to cockroach presence and that's a health hazard. I had to pay and rent a room at another location which did not have cockroaches. Booking.com has not returned my money for services not rendered!

- hawbaker (7/5): - Rooms are decent for a motel that is for a budget, would be better if each room had coffee pot, microwave and mini fridge. Some rooms have a mini fridge and some rooms have a microwave. However there is a microwave in the hall next to the ice machine so you can still prepare or reheat meals. I would stay again but be better prepared the next time. Hit or miss on amenities such as fridge and microwave. No coffee pot available

- Schiling (6/5): It was ok. - Bed was comfortable. When entering room wall switch did not turn any lights on. Difficult to get a light on in the middle of the night when needing the bathroom.
- Douglas (1/5): The worst hotel I've ever been in. - Nothing This was the worst hotel I've ever been in my life. It had the worst smell ever. Even the toilet wasn't secured to the floor. We checked out as soon as we checked in. We expect a full refund.

- David (5/5): I’m a rough neck traveling working man that can deal with there roach problem. The stay was good the bugget was great an - Property was clean, there was no trash all over the place. They have long staying tenants and they are all nice. My room had roaches, I knew about the roaches from previous reviews but I went to the dollar store down the street and bought spray for the room. Owners please take care of this problem. You would have an excellent establishment
- tacey (6/5): - Friendly staff,no deposit ,there wasn't anything I disliked about budget inn
- tacey (7/5): -
- Douglas H (2/5): - No breakfast or cofee was available had to go to gas station to get coffee Softer beds coffe makers in rooms
- Thomas (6/5): My stay was just OK a place to sleep - It was OK needed a remodel at holes in my sheets Old and outdated
- sevel (1/5): I left as soon as I saw the bug - The staff was nice I lifted the cover and a bug ran across the bed. It looked like a roach.
- Nestor (7/5): Need improvements. - The location. Need maintenance.
- Steve (1/5): -
- Cook (2/5): I will never use this hotel again. - Staff was nice Room looked like it was from the 1950’s. Rust all over a metal frame chair. Rust on sink and cigarette burns on the counter. Shower was nasty. I couldn’t even take a shower.
- Luis (8/5): Muy cómodo lo poco que estuve gracias - Todo Todo muy bien
- Laura (1/5): Short - The worker was nice It was dirty
- Cristina (2/5): U cant put a price on comfort: spend the extra money to stay somewhere where u can sleep comfortably - The price The dresser had stuff in it. And there were bugs in the room.
I purchased and used my own sheets after using bed bug spray bc we felt so uncomfortable. After sighting a couple bugs we also opted to sleep with the light on.
- Richard (1/5): -
- Lori (1/5): - Not a thing The bed was horribly hard, WiFi and tv didn’t work. Would never stay there again.
- Charles (3/5): POOR !!!! - Close to where I need to be. This place old not maintain.
No coffee maker no microwave.
Walls need painted and upgrade.beds not comfortable.
Never go there again .
People in the place look like live there permanently.
Decussing.

- Baker (10/5): Nice stay - It's always nice when I stay at this hotel no complaints Nothing it was quiet just like I like it.
- Aprel (1/5): Worst of my life - Nothing First , when I checked into the room, the entire floor was wet , the TV had no signal , I went back and reported it and they gave me a so called upgrade and when I went into that room the next day I saw dead roach on the floor in the bathroom and I was stomping on small roaches on the floor. I cut my stay short and got I small refund , the place was BAD, really BAD.
- Miguel (7/5): Good -
- Miguel (7/5): Good -
- Ryan (10/5): - The rooms were large and clean. Reasonable price. Friendly staff. Andrea greeted us in the lobby upon arrival. Check-in was smooth. Andrea really went Above and beyond to make us feel comfortable answer any questions we had durring our stay. Whenever we say her on the properly, she always has a smile on her face. We made our day to see someone joy helping the guest pride in her job. She’s really an asset to the establishment enter a positive attitude made this the hotel that we will stay at from now on when we are visiting Punta Gorda.
- Lester (1/5): I stayed in some shitty motels but this is only worth 40 dollars and that's a lot - Nothing The bed was the worst bed I slept on my entire life being a truck driver for the past 30 years. The bed felt like it was only a box spring and no matress. The entire floor was covered in some kinda lotion with sand, like someone came back from the beach covered in lotion with sand on them rolled on the floor.
- Declan (1/5): Bad - Free parking Everything else. The whole room was disgusting, rat droppings in the cabinet, and nothing had been clean. There was still pee on the toilet with several strands of hair in the shower. The bathroom and sink were noticably unkept. The bed may or may not have been clean. There were at least a couple of bugs on the ground.
- James (3/5): Poor - Very shabby room. Worst bed I have slept in in years.
4 more dollars a night gets a vastly superior experience at the kings Inn down the street.
- heatherpR2250QT (2/5): Budget Blues - This hotel was so bad that the sign wasn’t even visible when your looking for the place. I would not recommend this hotel. They didn’t have breakfast or extra towels and it was dirty and gross. I was trying to book a different hotel and messed up.
- Bob (2/5): - My room is not clean. I had no cups for water no clock. There was no lightbulb in the lamp next to the bed. The shower was not clean and did not take a shower. The floor was sticky and I got bedbugs. I would not recommend anyone to stay at the budget Inn in Punta Gorda, Florida.
- Donald (4/5): Uncomfortably loud and dirty and well Uncomfortable. - AC was cold is about all I liked. There was a hair in the toilet seat and at 3am and then 4am I was woken up by disrespectful people staying there. Not peaceful at all the bed was supposed to be a king and good thing I bring my own pillows because there was only 2 very uncomfortable ones. The keys were retro regular front door metal key. You get what you grt when they motle is called Budget. I am not one to complain to the front desk but I will vent in social media.
- Ondre (8/5): - Good fpr travelers
- Kimberly (2/5): Would not recommend ever! - There was mold everywhere in the bathroom, ceilings and cabinet holding refrigerator. Could not use the refrigerator due to an active leak that would not all the door to close. Neighbors next door must have been full time residents, they started fighting at 1am. Neighbors on other side must have been full time as well, they were hammering on the walls. The bed was stiff as a board and on a very squeaky metal box. Overall it was too expensive for the accommodation. We will choose better next time.
- Rosalie (2/5): - We checked in and our assigned room was supposed to be no smoking. We had changed our room. The one we were assigned next was better but it still stunk like smoke. I walked barefoot in the room and my feet were filthy. The bed was comfortable. I would not go back.
- Ali (2/5): - We booked two hotel rooms and they were both disgusting. One smelled heavily of smoke even though there was a no smoking sign on the door. The sheets had burn holes in them and a dead cockroach was on the floor. Second room had trash in the shower and the white sheets were extremely stainedand also had lots of hair and dead bugs in it
- Michael (2/5): - Dirty. Felt unsafe
- Mary (10/5): - Another perfect stay at Budget Inn Punta Gorda! The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the location is super convenient. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!
- Andrew (1/5): Don't do it. - Cockroaches - Sand in the sheets.
Lots of middle aged men standing around smoking.
TV had been punched and was broken.
Trash on the balcony and in the parking lot. Like extra furniture trash. Location. Was close to the airport.
- Kenneth (8/5): Not pleasant - The door locks were not functioning properly. The bedding did not appear to be clean. The floor had stickiness and debris on it. The toilet seat was not fastened down properly nor was it clean. The shower was gross looking therefore I did not take a shower.
- barbara (8/5): - This is not a hotel a single woman feels safe in. Seems like a lot of people live here. Lots of people hanging around outside by my door
- James (5/5): Passable -
- Mary (6/5): - Great for a short term stay
- Vincent (4/5): Disappointing -
- Natalie (2/5): Smell & filth - The hotel was so dirty, I left less than an hour after I arrived. When I opened the door entering the room for the first time the cigarette smell was so strong that i immediately turned around and took my clothes back to the car so they wouldn’t stink. I did not feel safe. There’s no way I would have gotten any sleep in the filth and smell.
When I turned in my keys to the front desk less than an hour after checking in, the front desk didn’t even question me about leaving. I’m guessing because this happens often.
Hotel.com should not sell this property.
- Pam (7/5): Good - The location to the site I was going to the next day. The tiles floors in the room were wet the entire evening so I had to be careful not to slip and fall during my stay.
- Joe (2/5): - This place should be condemned. Division of Hotels and Restaurants should and probably will be called on this place. Front door had a 3/4 inch gap from the floor. The bed had only a fitted sheet and stained, cigarette burned cover. The floor needed a scrubbing. The towel bar in the bathroom was replaced with a piece of wire. The bathroom door looked like ithad multiple holes that were patched over with spackle. Most of theelectrical outlets were missing face plates. I could go on, but I will finish by saying I felt so unsafe that I semi-slept with my gun next to me. I chevked out the next day. I could go on but why bother?
- Andrew (2/5): - Get what you pay for.
- James (1/5): Bad - I chose not to stay there. We tried two different rooms and they both had a terrible mold smell. Within twenty minutes I developed a cough. I left there and rented a room at the Knights Inn in Port Charlotte where I spent the night comfortably. This was very disappointing as I was only going to be in town one night and wanted to check out the area. Instead I wasted two hours on this.
- Deborah (2/5): Disgusting!!! - We didn’t stay there because it was to nasty dirty, stunk of cigarettes, fecus in toilet, disgusting. We went and stayed at a different hotel.
- denisefloss (2/5): Negative stars - This is seriously a tear down property. Not one good word to say literally disgusting!!! Shame on whoever owns this piece of crap. Dirty beyond belief. Loud people that smoke and talk in the halls all night. I believe it’s used for public assistance housing. Pay more money and go elsewhere. This was a BAD move on my part to stay there. I am glad I wasn’t unalived
- barry (2/5): bad - Very Bad will never go again bad bad bad
- Amy (4/5): - Very dated, smelled like cigarettes masked with bleach.
worn out plumbing fixtures and no hot water. Had to take a cold shower oh and the fridge was gross
- Otilio (4/5): - smelled really bad was not clean
- Scott (1/5): Bad - Meth heads all around the area.
- Charles (2/5): Do NOT stay here!!! - Front desk guy was professional, but the room was absolutely the worst ever (see pictures). The room had bugs and MAJOR issues, from sink detaching from counter to large cracks/holes in he wall. It also smelled like smoke, had many people smoking outside their rooms, and people’s personal items outside of rooms.
- Emily (1/5): Hazardous and Unsafe, cockroach & crackhead motel - The room had someone's take out trash on the counter, pee in the toilet and seat not flushed, TV was broken, cockroaches in the fridge and smelled horrible. Let alone having to navigate my 4 and 14 year old up stairs with two 50lb luggage in the middle of the night dodging crackheads. Too afraid to sleep, as soon as daylight hit we were out of there. Completely irresponsible to list this place on your website. You couldn't pay me to stay there again.
- Laher (1/5): DON'T BOOK HERE! - The only ok thing about this stay was that our hot water worked. We heard from "neighbors" that theirs did not. This was probably the worst stay at a hotel we have ever had. There were SO many bugs. Luckily no bed bugs, but mini cockroaches, other flying bugs that were plentiful. There were even dead smashed ones on the walls that we found that no one bothered to clean up.
The TV did not work - there was no signal.
The staff didn't bother to clean the bathroom. There was hair and dirt everywhere.
Also, the room reeked of smoke and there were cigarette burns in the comforters in our "non-smoking" room.
I would rather sleep in my car than ever go near this place again.
- Kesse (4/5): - Could use a lot of updating and cleaning. My white socks was black after walking from the bed to bathroom. Cleaning is a must. Not happy about that !!!
- Nicholas (2/5): Horrible - Room was infested with bed bugs and other bugs in the room. Pubic hairs all over the bathroom. Towels were not clean.
Overall filthy and disgusting.
- Michael (1/5): did not stay after seeing the room - room was outdated, dirty, smelled like smoke
- Meloy (4/5): Disappointing -
- ceciliec2025 (2/5): Filth & Roaches - Rating is really a ZERO!!! I arrived to check in for my room that I prepaid 3 weeks prior to find out they do not have my room and they proceed to give me a different room. At that point it is late I need to sleep so I agree. In moving my stuff into the room, I notice a q-tip on the floor next to the table. Which urges me to look further. OH my goodness the disgusting filth and roaches!!! Room has not been cleaned in ages. I have 36 pictures to back this up. I went to the front desk to advise of the filth. She said she would send someone. First one man shows up and I show him what I have found so far. All he did was pick up the trash and through it in the garbage. Then he came back with bug spray and a old man with a dirty mop and a bottle of bleach. He sprays from bugs and the other man pours bleach on the floor and slushes it around. Meanwhile I am standing in the breezeway in the freezing cold weather. I wait for OVER an hour in the breezeway with the door open waiting for the floor to dry and the bleach smell to go away. After an hour I give up and go to Walmart to buy a mop, bucket, cleaning products and bug spray to try to clean the room enough to be able to sleep for the night. I had to re-mop the area to get up some of the bleach and filth. I had to clean the sink and toilet just to be able to us it. There were even dead roaches in the refrigerator. There was gross stuff on and around the drain in the shower so I could not shower. I did not touch that. There is even an electrical outlet in the shower. I have pictures to back up everything I a stating. This place needs to be shut down until fixed and clean.
- David (4/5): - Fairly convenient to the airport
- Playzxx (1/5): So bad we didn’t stay. - The location is good, close enough to downtown to walk. Our room was disgusting. There was a yellow couch that was so stained with who knows what that I would have not even put my things on it let alone sit on it. The tile floor had just been mopped with what smelled like straight bleach and it was so wet there was puddles on the floor. Bathtub looked like they just poured concrete over it and slapped some tile over it. There was two tiny pillows on the bed. Sketchy looking full sized fridge in the corner. It’s clear this aging hotel needs a lot of work to these rooms, didn’t even look at the pool. The room was so bad we didn’t even put our bags down before we left. It’s clear there are some people that live there. It’s a shame someone doesn’t come in and remodel this place.
- Sharon (2/5): - The place was in horrible shape. The pictures lie.
I could not stay in a place like that
I WANT A REFUND!!!!
- Kathy (2/5): - Needed a place close to the airport that didn't break the bank. Horrible choice and could not cancel. I choose it last minute, my mistake. The floors were so dirty our feet were black. Dirty yellow couch. Felt to creepy to sit on. The bedspread and sheets are black. Probably because it doesn't show grime. Only 2 pillows. The toilet and shower were clean but the base of the toilet was disgusting Lots of construction going on. Felt unsafe. My skin is still crawling!
- Nicole (2/5): - We pulled in and the clerk said he gave our rooms away and was very smug about it. Said he wasn’t going to refund us - because we booked on Expedia. It felt very much like a scam. We asked where we should go (it’s 10pm) he said “good luck” and continued to smoke
- Beth (2/5): - They gave our room away before we got there - had to find another hotel.
- Lyndsay (2/5): - The room was HORRIBLE! Completely disgusting! Towels were dirty, refrigerator was dirty inside and out. The only Positive was that the Bed was made!
- wILLIAM (2/5): - Trash and dirty towels as wellas other occupants litter in walkway to room. German roaches in room and crawling iver tv. Furniture looked like bought in 2960 sakvation army store. No one in office until after 10 each day. Walls so thin you coukd hear neighbirs every word. Sink had no plunger that wirked. No microwave though sdvertized. Toliet paper holder broken and papercstuck on one arm of hokder thatcwas left
- Sheron (8/5): - Comfortable
- Luis (6/5): Cleanliness Questionable - Didn’t feel very clean. Wouldn’t stay here again.
