Houda (8/5): My Stay at Ibis Style Montpellier Centre - Everything was nice. Great location at a waking distance of most of Montpellier’s attractions. Reception was nice to give me multiple choices of rooms so I was able to choose the one I felt comfortable in. The one thing that can be improved is breakfast. Also as the building is shared by 2 Accor hotels, breakfast is very busy and noisy at this period of the year.

Matthew (10/5): - This was a great hotel. Literally less than a minute from the centre of the city. Was a little noisy but only due to the road sweepers and skip trucks outside which come around between 4 and 6 am (price you pay for a clean city I suppose!!). Staff were excellent and breakfast was lovely. Free coffee from the machines for guests. I would definitely visit again.
Verified traveler (6/5): Wouldn’t recommend - The hotel is ok. Good location. Safe and secure. Near to main square. However, the staff had a very lazy attitude to helping and customer service. I felt like I worked there at times. For example there are tea and coffee facilities available for use at all times ( none in rooms) but no milk or spoons left out. You have to ask. One guy sent us off to the beach but failed to mention there was no shade or ability to buy water there. When things went wrong they seemed to find it funny. No fridge in room. Ok but wouldn’t stay again.

Bathroom basic but functional, although I guess it's not unusual these days to end up with a flooded bathroom with a step-free / door-free shower. Wasn't impressed at all by the breakfast in terms of quality of the food offer, or the clearing of tables. It was disappointing to say the least. There didn't seem to be any hot options, so it was really just a cut your own baguette and jam affair with a few frozen croissants and pain au chocolat. Fruit salad available out of a can. I think you get the idea

Robert (2/5): Avoid this hotel - First of all it’s next to another IBIS hotel and we mistakenly parked in the wrong garage and took our bags up to the lobby by elevator and were then told this having to retrace our steps after a long trip - you need to point this out to users. Upon finding the correct IBIS “Styles” hotel it took them twenty minutes to open the parking garage door a further aggravation with no apology. When we finally got to the correct reception desk the only employee on duty (at 8pm) in the hotel was disinterested in anything other than collecting taxes and parking fees. When we asked for a late checkout under our Gold Hotels.com membership we were told this didn’t apply and we should ask in the morning. We asked the next day and this was denied. The mattress was uncomfortable being covered in protective plastic very hot, only realizing this the next day. The attitude of the staff was uncaring and reflected no or very poor training. We’re done with IBIS !

Nous avons été réveillés par le camion poubelles à 5h de matin et régulièrement par des engins de nettoyage. Dommage car lhotel est tres bien et le personnel tres accueillant et agréable.

Il parcheggio non c’era. abbiamo ripiegato in un parcheggio a pagamento nel vicino centro commerciale. L’hotel é praticamente in centro. Non economico per i servizi mancanti. Colazione buona. Insomma per noi questo hotel va bene per un mordi e fuggi rapido.

REGIS (8/5): Hôtel bien situé mais service à améliorer un peu - Hôtel bien situé près de la place de la Comédie (2 mn à pied). Chambre bien équipée et de taille correcte. Seul bémol : le petit-déjeuner. On ne nous avait pas prévenu qu'il fallait descendre le chercher à la réception (compte-tenu de la crise sanitaire, le petit-déjeuner n'est n'y servi en salle ni monté à la chambre). De plus, nous étions 3 dans 2 chambres et nous n'avions que 2 plateaux prêts ... En conclusion, hôtel bien situé mais quelques améliorations dans la qualité du service sont nécessaires pour être un vrai ''3 étoiles''.

Nina (8/5): Central situation - Was surprised how minimalist the hotel room was. Would have liked two comfortable chairs to relax in, why was the bedside shelf blocked in, so only one surface to put phone, book, glasses, watch etc. instead of two. Wardrobe completely open. Not so good as staying for 5 days. Good shower room. But all was forgiven when we went to have breakfast, the best ever for a three star hotel. The huge choice, all the best quality, the freshly squeezed orange juice, the croissants, brioche, comte cheese, fresh citrus fruits and pineapple. Perfect situation, quiet road until the dustbin vans and road cleaning vans (could ask for interior room overlooking courtyard), so close to Place de Comedie, shops and restaurants.

We loved the colours on the wall behind our bed which looked like curtains - fabulous! Also love no doors on shelves and wardrobes so we don't leave clothes behind. We always have had a nice experience and staff always pleasant and helpful.Also love the figures painte on the walls and the lovely carpet. The only suggestion I have is for a small shelf in the shower to put shampoo etc on when ikn the shower. Love Jude & Simon x

James (10/5): Great location, clean, quiet. - Hotel Ibis is a great always consistent hotel when traveling. This one was no different. The whimsical theatre theme was fun. Faycal at the desk was so helpful with local market advice and very welcoming and professional to coordinate our parking in advance. Very well located to the old town and all a visitor will want to see. Quiet location. Definitely a yes for a repeat visit.

Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect location, slow wifi. - Just steps from the Comedie plaza, this hotel's location is unbeatable. It is close to all the restaurants and shopping places. The room is simple but efficiently furnished, and the breakfast is delicious. The internet wifi speed was very slow, sometimes pathetically slow. Other than that, there was no real complaint.

Christine (6/5): Basic and very small bedrooms - Difficult to find as 3 Ibis Hotels in Montpellier Centre! Car park is small and not suitable for large cars. Breakfast is ok but when hotel is full the breakfast area feels very cramped. Avoid level 1 as it is very dark and can be noisy with night revellers followed by bin collection vans to disturb your sleep!

Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel in center of everything - The only problem was finding it after our GPS broke down. Even if it had worked, it is on a very small side street with in a network of one way streets and that should be explained in the description. We kept finding a different Ibis and got hard to follow directions from their desk clerk. Plus they didn't know about the wonderful parking lot we had at our hotel. Many people tried to direct us to park in the lot for the nearby shopping area and then walk. Finally, the other Ibis called us a cab to follow. We tried at first to transfer our reservation to the Ibis we found but couldn't because the reservation was through Expedia. In the end were glad for staying where we did
SS (8/5): Great location - There are several IBIS in the neighborhood. This is one of the two near the central area. Plenty of places to eat around and you can walk to many places by walking including the main train station.
Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect location to explore Montpellier - Check in was speedy and accurate. It was clearly explained that a small tax would be collected on departure. The room was clean...very! It did not have tea/coffee facilities, but they were available at reception. Shower was great, bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning worked OK (I can never really get hotel air con to work properly...). Breakfast was outstanding...great range, fresh, kept re-stocked; set me up for the morning really well. Location couldn't be better...100m to Comedie and tramlines; 100m to Polygone for shopping; 200m to supermarket; several cheap and buzzy food places within 3 blocks either side. Easy 10 minute walk to train station. Room was quiet...street noise was minimal. I will definitely go back there again. The room IS Spartan..,it's for sleeping comfortably, it's not for hanging out it-but who comes to Montpellier for a holiday to hang out in a hotel room?! Thanks for a great stay.

Breakfast was included though we didn't partake, and the minimal amenities were adequate. Front staff was welcoming and helpful also. We'd stay here again, with the ease of walking around from there. Only issue was we arrived on a Friday night and there was very loud music outside of our room, but it stopped after about an hour.

Room was good size but does not have a safety box, minibar nor coffee/tea maker. Early in the morning (5:00) there is garbage collection truck and right after 5:30) truck cleaning the area with water hoses, both generate a lot of noise.on the second day of our stay we left the room at 8:30, when we returned at 14:30, the room was still not done. We had to ask the Reception and sat in the lobby for 30 min before the room was done. Breakast was OK, staff were helpful, overall good hotel except for the noise early in the morning n the late ckeaning of thevroom the second day
Hector (10/5): Great value for money and location - From location it could not be any better, right there next to the historic town centre, minutes away from the main railway station and in a nice district altogether. Plenty of restaurants, bars and nightlife at the footstep from the hotel. The property itself, a medium size 3* hotel, very nice and modest with friendly and caring staff. Average size quiet rooms with comfortable bed, and a nice breakfast if your rate has this included, but otherwise not an expensive one. All in all very nice and recommended to anyone

Verified traveler (8/5): Best Hotel Staff and Great Location - This hotel is an amazing location. It is very clean and well setup for travelers. We were located just a hundred feet or so off of the main plaza. The women at the front desk, though, were the absolute best part of this hotel. Fatima and Sarah were the most helpful and kind people I have ever met. They helped us find a way to our next location (Saint Tropez), and checked in with us the next day to make sure everything went smoothly. They went above and beyond. We were so impressed considering how little the room cost. Our only complaint was that it was extremely noisy from the streets. At around 2-3 am, garbage trucks were going around the street for an hour and were very loud/audible from the room. I would still recommend this place as an overnight stay due to the cleanliness, price, and helpfulness of their staff.

Fabien (8/5): A great modern hotel in a great location - Stayed here for a night, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was so good, I could picture myself staying there again. Location is good if you want to walk. If you are driving there, be prepared to have a good GPS, or else, who knows where you may land. However, you are right in the middle of town. The room was large, clean, well laid out and extremely functional. Front desk was extremely friendly and welcoming. As always in the Ibis STYLES hotels, your breakfast is always included. This was a really nice experience. Would not have minded staying there another few nights. Definitely a thumbs up from me.

Gillian (8/5): Thoroughly recommend this hotel - Stayed here while watching our home rugby team against Montpellier (sadly we lost). Great location once you've found it by car, the streets are a little confusing & sat nav got a bit muddled. Very tight underground car park but once parked, there's no need for a car around the city. Very close to the centre, only a 2 minute walk to Place De La Comedié. Very clean rooms, nice touches like bottled water in room, free Wi-Fi & continental breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend for any length stay in Montpellier.
Fabien (10/5): The nicest one of its kind... - The hotel itself is not very easy to find if you're driving. However, once you get there, it is quite nice. From the moment you step in, it looks very welcoming. All the rooms include breakfast, which is quite good, including a beverage machine with various options, including a hot chocolate with actual milk (vs. water). You also get to squeeze fresh oranges for a nutritious glass of juice. The breakfast area is quite nice, bright, and spacious. So is the room. The bathroom was new and very functional. For an IBIS, this one is the best I have ever stayed at. Front desk personnel was very good and very helpful. I would definitely recommend it. You are right in the heart of the centre of Montpellier and about 1/2 hour from the beach by car.

This isn't a negative but just some advice:I would advise if you are thinking about booking this hotel, have a small car. We have a turneo and we struggled to get around the town due to narrow roads and the underground parking was very tight to get in and out.
Verified traveler (6/5): A well-located, average hotel - The hotel is located very centrally on Montpellier. Everything is on a walking-distance. This comes at a price though; the noise was quite obvious during the night, while the window would not stay shut completely. The room itself was no-frills, without a specific character. A bulb in the shower was not working and the wardrobe was quite small. I found the bed comfortable, but the pillows were quite average.
