Feiyang (4/5): - This hotel has good fundamentals with its great location, quiet surroundings, elevator, and laundry room. However, the management really leaves a lot to be desired. The hallways have a strange odor, and the room floor was so dirty that my feet turned black immediately after walking barefoot. The wooden floorboards were also warped and creaked loudly with every step. To make things worse, the water pressure in the bathroom was very weak, making washing and showering a poor experience. I sincerely hope the management addresses these issues.

Michael (4/5): - We found the floor surface in our room to be sticky, so much so it squeaked when we walked on it and subsequently used towels. The electrical plugs are faulty and worn. The elevator was in terrible condition. And to many people were lotoring around. The room was not equipped with services data.

Ruth (4/5): - The clock in the room runs through numbers and does not show the time. The TV has two channels. The beds are lumpy and the mattress is stained. Elevator is missing the roof and the sink is cracked. Staff is decent, but facilities are run down and outdated.

Room 2 smelled of smoke, toilet that struggled to flush, a bathroom door without a latch(why wouldn’t it be changed instead of removed??)and was missing mini fridge. Beds were comfy.

He assured me it was. Get to room and it’s two double beds. Not the cleanest, was fine for one night but would not stay here again.

If you want to step in to a noisy, smelly and semi dirty place of the Stranger Things or “brothel-like” space, knock yourself out. If I had known I wouldn’t have never spent $150 per night. The bed and mattress are beyond awful, TV no signal. Though The staff were polite and wifi was good. Terrible smell of mixture the mould and brewery in the room. The AC sooo pound and probably from the Stranger Things. In the hind side, I had a hunch that the name of the motel is weird and weird it gets. I can right more because I didn’t sleep a wink. But hey, another experience and now I know…Avoid, avoid, avoid….

Linda (4/5): - Was close to restaurants. But the quality of the room was poor for the value. I have stayed at much nicer hotels that were not so expensive. The furniture wasn't as nice and room was small. Only had 2 doubles instead of a queen .
Jean (2/5): - Air conditionning wasn't working in first room, they gave us another room but the beds were bumpy (spring problems I guess). Police cars were on site for most of the time, even forinsic van (for 2 days). When they switch our rooms, they forgot to record it so at 1 o'clock during the night, they try to get in the room to rent it to someone else so I had to get out of bed and explain them why I was in that room. Worst motel/hotel experience ever.

Verified traveler (8/5): Decent stay - This is a basic motel, but clean and comfortable. The room instantly made us think "dorm room", sparce. No fridge. There is a communal microwave oven in the common area. The bed was comfortable. The AC worked well and was quiet. Tge bathroom looked good and functioned well.

The floors need to be redone badly. If you’re looking for a place to lay down for a night or two you found it.

Only minor issue was showerhead was damaged, so it sprayed water out of the back and flooded the bathroom. Minor issue in the grand scheme of things, but would have been annoying if I'd been there more then one night.

Steve (6/5): - Our room met our needs and was pretty clean. The area is safe and quieter than I expected in light of its location right next to the 401. There are numerous restaurants close by, which is very convenient. However, it's definitely a "budget" place and the property as a whole is showing its age. The room we ended up with was fine, and in a quieter part of the building. But the first room we were assigned was on a noisy and somewhat dirty hallway, and had not even been cleaned yet, despite our evening check-in.

Nothing on the walls. Vintage alarm. Traffic noises could be heard through the closed window. Far too much money for too little basic comfort.

Michael (10/5): - Motel 6 in Whitby is remarkably clean and presentable establishment. The front desk staff are extremely friendly and personable. They made you feel welcome and answered every question instantly and professionally. The location is super convenient with a bounty of restaurant options within walking distance. The spacious parking lot is well lit for anyone arriving after dark. The rates are unbeatable and I highly recommend it to anyone.
brenda (10/5): - As you are aware the room was cancelled on sunday june 6th due to an unexpected change of plans. I appreciated the email confirming this that was sent immediately during the cancellation call. The staff there is very friendly, polite, efficiently and knowledgable. Extra praise for emily who was especially kind when the room was first booked. Thank you for such great staff, which had I stayed there I'm confident it would have been a good experience.
Steve (8/5): - Generally liked the room, but there was supposed to be a fridge; there wasn't. The young man at the front desk quickly resolved that, although it was very small. He also provided a good iron and ironing board. He was very helpful and polite.The bathroom layout was very good, especially the large counter around the sink. Biggest negative was the limited TV channels. I couldn't watch the Jays game.

We finally got our room, to find out the A/C isn't working, woke up to have a shower and there is no hot water. Called the front desk 3 times and they never sent anyone to look at our room. Go to blow dry my hair and the blow dryer doesn't work. Callled back for the 4th time and still no one showed up. I have demand my full refund. I will never be staying here again
Evelyn (2/5): - Staff at front desk were friendly. My friend and I (both female) did not feel safe and decided to check out again after about an hour. Front desk provided manager’s email without asking. Manager responded promptly and a full refund was issued. We found a lot of negative reviews afterwards which confirmed our sense of not feeling safe. I very much appreciated the manager’s response and was thankful for the refund.
