- Paola (10/5): - Everything is amazing. The location and hotel is beautiful. The staff is incredibly friendly. Special mentions to Mario, he will help you with everything around the hotel! Resolves anything immediately and the most friendly person. All the kitchen staff and people in the dining room! All of them! Chef is great and a lot of food options. From the bar: William! What a great guy always with a smile. Jose Luis, Roger, Damara, such friendly and nice people!!! Carlos and Wilmer who help you with the chairs and umbrellas thanks!! Also Carlos internal security, also defends marine life and makes sure all tourists respect the sea and its animals, what a blessing for this hotel to have him. Front desk is the only place where you are not greeted or treated very kindly, most of these girls have attitude. I had a question and went to front desk and instead of resolving the issue, they were giving me more issues and were really rude, I had to stop them immediately I guess they forget that they are not doing you a favor, you pay to be there! The only 2 people in front desk who are nice are Stefany and victor. Other than that, I stay in this place 3-4 times a year but next time will think about because of the issues with the people in front desk
- Tina Marei (10/5): - The staff was so courteous! William the bartender was amazing! The wedding we attended at San Simon was so beautiful! The food…I can’t say enough good things. We didnt have anything that wasn’t cooked to perfection! We stayed for 7 days and would definitely return! Everything was very clean and well kept! The pool by our room was being repaired, and that was disappointing, but it was nearly finished when we left. We still had the beautiful beach and the pool was always perfect. Bonus..Demera? The barista; had our coffee done to perfection by the time she spotted us and we walked up, she always remembered what we liked. Even the security guard Mark and Greg were always so courteous and we felt completely safe at all times.

Bar staff William, Stephanie and Elizabeth ALWAYS greeted us with a smile. The drinks were always delicious. Would have loved if there were more fruit options at the buffets throughout the day. Houskeepimg always did a great job. Beach was cleam and beautiful. The staff will be the reason why I come back. Thank you for welcoming us.

- Dania (6/5): - I want to start by saying that Britney was absolutely great, she was very friendly and helpful. When we arrived we were received by a blond heavy set woman wearing red lipstick, she was rude and combative I really wasn't sure why since I had never seen her in my life, she started by asking if we would be needing a ride to the airport and that we need to to let her know right there and then otherwise we wouldn't be able to be allow to get a ride, we also paid for a studio room and we were send to a basic rundown room that not even the toilet worked. After a whole day of trying to figure out what would happen to the toilet in the room Britney was kind enough to move us to a more comfortable room than where we were put in. The food is not the best they put this chimichury sauce that's not even chimichury is just garlic and oil on everything, we had to get mostly most dinners outside the resort since I couldn't really stomach all the food that was serve, Mostly I had Fruit and coffee. some staff were nice others were absolutely rude and just disrespectful period, there were two older guys part of the staff that were so nasty that I wasn't sure what their issue was.

- Luis (8/5): - Mayan Princess is such a beautiful and well kept property. It is not new or modern, but for its age, it is impressive. Incredibly well maintained and easy to get around with signs and directions all throughout the property. I absolutely loved my stay here, felt like a remote paradise. Make sure to get your dinner reservations booked every morning for the a la carte dining options which felt like 5 star restaurants. The buffet was mediocre at times, really just depends on the offering of the day which changes everyday. And the drinks were amazing! Though I recommend you ask for double shot every time if you want a more proportional mix. Direct beach access with private lounge chars and towels made my trip comfortable and accommodating. Overall I would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone visiting Roatan.

I had to switch rooms twice and the second room was infested with ants and I woke up to a gecko in my bathroom in the middle of the night which was terrifying. - Tiffany (8/5): - Overall this was an ok stay. The staff were all nice and welcoming. The food and drinks were decent, nothing extravagant. The hotel itself was average at best. The room was small for two. It was clean but just not well kept. There were fixtures missing that were once on the wall, and the shower faucet was broken. The TV had bad service, and there was only one English Channel, the rest were in Spanish. The pools had missing tile pieces which didn’t look good. The beach, sand and water, was very clean and the towels, chairs, and umbrellas were always available. A lot of workers on the beach, offering jewelry, shirts, hair braiding, excursions and more. The area outside of the hotel was very sad. Felt like it is very poor living on the island. The drive from the airport was about 30 mins and it was very eye opening driving around. The airport was also very small and no AC on the arrival side, but there was on the departure side. The hotel did have transportation to and from which was free, and well set up. Overall again it was an OK stay, not a place I would go again though for the price or one I’d recommend if you are looking for something more then a basic all inclusive trip.

- Rodolfo (8/5): - They have a very good attention to the customers, all the employees are very nice and always asking you if you need any help or if they can bring you anything, the food is excellent, the two restaurants have a lot of good dishes to choose, beverage all you can drink that’s a big plus, the hotel area and the front of the beach are all clean, they have security, all the people selling local stuff are not allowed to come where the customers are but they ask you to come where they are if you wanna buy something, the rooms are clean, but they had some issues, the refrigerator didn’t properly work in our room, reported it, the supervisor in charge of this department transferred us to a better room. We move but the door facing the front of the beach was broken we reported it. They said they were gonna fix it. They never did and then we went home when our time came other than that we enjoyed the stay at this hotel. It is good. 👍

- Verified traveler (6/5): Not going back, would not recommend - Although the property was immaculate and beautiful, the Front desk people were rude, not helpful when i asked for advice about the meetup spot for the snorkeling charter that i was late for. They kept talking about hotel rules knowing i was late and even after i asked could i come back later to go over that stuff. They didnt know what the rate was to add another guest to my reservation since i had accidentally left off my 9 year old daughter which took another 10 minutes to figure out. (Knowing i was late for my prepaid snorkeling tour) The website says all of the activities were included and i still had to pay anyway. I couldn't get any compassion or reimbursement after my flight was delayed by 24 hours. I let the hotel know several hours before check in time asking if there was any possibility for my reservation to be adjusted to reflect the new dates and the reply was that i’d still be charged the whole nights fee as a penalty. My flight was cancelled, I missed a night, and was being charged additional fees for adding my 9 year old daughter. It was offered the “day pass” where she would have access to the beach but not the pool or the food. Like i said, beautiful property. Gorgeous and clean. But God forbid, you accidentally dont include your child in the reservation, or your flight gets cancelled by no fault of your own, or you want to do any of the “inclusive@ activities without paying extra.
- Saubrina Y Carcamo (6/5): - The resort’s location is one of its strongest points, with stunning views. Whether you're looking for adventure or relaxation, the location really delivers on both fronts. Unfortunately, the property itself is in need of some updates. The aging decor and some maintenance issues hold it back. It didn’t necessarily impact my overall stay, but I was expecting a bit more considering the price point. For the most part, the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, there were a few individuals who could benefit from some additional customer service training. A couple of interactions felt a bit impersonal or rushed, which was disappointing. One area that definitely needs improvement is the dining options. There aren’t many choices when it comes to restaurants, and the reservation process is confusing. It’s hard to figure out how to book a table, and when you do manage to get one, the food doesn’t always live up to expectations. More variety and a smoother reservation system would make a huge difference.

- Tony (6/5): - Good reviews: Well-kept property. Staff excellent. Air-conditioning efficient and quiet. Some things disappointing: The one-bedroom studio does not have a separate bedroom - the description is misleading. No coffee pot; no face cloths; no hair dryer. These have to be requested from reception. One small piece of soap in the bathroom, plus small packets of shampoo and conditioner combined. Other resorts have plenty of these available in the rooms, with the shampoo and conditioner in separate containers. Annoying things: No bedside alarm clock; no plug for the bathroom sink (the water just flows out); no suitcase stand in the closet. Some things to know: The two major restaurants are good but you have to go to reception to make reservations and they must be made before 2pm on the same day, and you cannot reserve for future days. One trivial thing is that they do not provide steak knives with a steak meal - you have to request them! The lounge chairs on the beach do not have umbrellas set out ready, but all you need to do is ask the attendants to put one up for you. They provide two full-size towels but the towel exchange places close at 4pm each day, so be aware of that.

- Paige (10/5): - The good: -pretty resort grounds -GREAT staff -good selection of drinks -elegant rooms -comfy bed -great location and the beach view is breathtaking -food exceeded our expectations Heads up: -I am blonde and my hair turned green in the pool. (This has happened my whole life in private pools, never public pools and I worked at several for 5 years. Came out with a special shampoo, good to go. Hotel may want to check chlorine and PH levels more frequently and make sure they’re hitting targets.) -this is a boutique all inclusive. Food isn’t available after 9, which is a little early. We had snacks in our room for evening and would grab popcorn from the snack stand in the afternoon to save! -you might have to walk to the front desk to request extra linens, hair dryer etc. the staff is great, but this isn’t a chain Dreams resort and you don’t have a tablet to request items. That was MORE than fine with us, the staff was probably the best all resort staff we’ve ever had!!

Good choices with tasty food. Unfortunately certain items would run out even though we were always there shortly after opening. The tours and transportation offered were great. We’d definitely stay again.

- Markese (10/5): Review of Mayan princess roaton - My stay at this property was wonderful! The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the property itself is beautiful. While the rooms have a slightly outdated brown interior, they are still very cozy and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel. There was one issue regarding the premium liquor included in my package. The hotel’s website advertised brands such as Patrón and Don Julio, which influenced my decision to book. However, when I attempted to order these at the bar on my first day, I was informed that they were not included. After seeking clarification from the front desk the following day, I was told that premium liquor was indeed part of the package. Despite this, the bar staff continued to deny my request. It was only after speaking with the bar manager and showing the website’s advertisement that the issue was resolved. Unfortunately, the bar staff seemed reluctant to provide premium liquor for the remainder of my stay. Aside from this, my trip was excellent. The hotel’s location is perfect, with everything within walking distance. Additionally, they offer a convenient store where guests can use a credit card to receive cash back in either USD or Honduran currency. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would recommend this hotel.

However, upon arriving, the evening supervisor, named Patricia, was very sarcastic, indifferent, and rude. She was unwilling to make accommodations for my group, which consisted of my cousin, my one-year old son, and me. She blamed Expedia for the miscommunication and did not try to fix the problem. When looking for a resort in Roatan, I specifically looked for a family-friendly resort. We all had to sleep uncomfortably in a matrimonial full sized bed, with no microwave to warm bottles for my baby. The next day, a supervisor named Britney was more concerned and sent us a warmer to warm bottles. I had a very bad first impression after traveling more than 8 hours with my family to reach the resort, but I had fun and the overall staff was very nice.

- Erik (8/5): - Beautiful beach and amazing staff, but this is not a 4-star resort as advertised. Minimum amenities available and the all inclusive option is not all inclusive. There are restrictions on alcohol brands and certain food/restaurants have extra charges. We were denied access to food at the beach club daily as it was only open to people from cruise ships there for the day. Overall I would say this is a 2.5 star resort based on my extensive experience traveling the Caribbean. Staff was great though!!

I didn't like that they do not control the flies, it was disgusting how many flies were over there; knowing that there is several ways to control these bugs that carries germs, bacteria, viruses; they should worry about controlling them. Also, for the amount that we paid; they should have better furnished rooms with more updated and new appliances; there was dust all over the fans and closet doors; the shower faucets were rotten, also the coffee maker was rotten, and many other things were not exactly at the height of the prices they are asking
- Douglas (8/5): - The place is beautifully maintained and decorated. Its staff was amazing! Our room could have been better especially when you consider the price that we paid. The food was pretty darn delicious except for the dinner. There were lots of options or selections on their menu for all three meals. Breakfast and lunch were always pretty delicious but there was always something off with dinner, the meat was either undercooked or overcooked and the seafood (Fish and lobster) was almost always overcooked. Their Ceviche and Seafood soup (Conch soup or sopa de Caracol) was pretty amazing though! With that said, my family and I had a blast and we sure to return soon! Thank you, Yari, Marina, William (bartenders), Wilmer (Towels and Water Sports Attendant), Yen, Patricia (Front Desk), and Charlie, Heliberto, Marvin, Yohanna, and Gladys (Servers) for your attention during our stay.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - This property is at least 25 years old and it’s age shows. The cleaning staff do a fabulous job. We were originally booked in the Las Sirenas rooms. Those rooms are incredibly small with no place to even put your luggage. We “upgraded” to a larger condo type unit, but paid $600 for it. This resort is not your typical all-inclusive. There are three actual restaurants plus a buffet. The all-inclusive only allows you to eat breakfast and lunch at the buffet, not at any of the restaurants. Dinner can be had at the restaurants only if you get up at 7am each morning to make a reservation. Crazy, because most times we did make reservations there were only a few tables that had people at them. Also, breakfast and lunch are only available for a two hour window. And yes, alcoholic drinks are included, but most times we needed to go fetch our own, especially if you are on the beach.
