• Colin (7/5): It was ok apart from the persons allowed to smoke directly outside their unit which directly affected us when we stepped - Location was great A lot of persons smoked directly outside their units. You could smell the cigarette smoke the next morning when we stepped out of our unit

Overall, our stay at Demi View was very good. - The manager, Andrew, has been very nice to guests, always tries to provide a good service to customers. The location was good with easy access to shopping etc. The communal kitchen needs some upgrade to its facilities.

The Company car had the van parked reversed to my bedroom window close, to the slaming of the boot van door at 5am to the window noise bang.

Die Lage ist super für eine Übernachtung auf dem Weg in den Daintree Nationalpark Als wir ankamen, war nur der Besitzer da, der keine Ahnung von irgendwas hatte. Ich musste nochmals bezahlen, obwohl bereits abgebucht war, er gab uns das falsche WLAN Passwort. Im Zimmer fehlten die Handtücher.

Very tasteful new renovations. Enthusiastic owner/renovator The old pub next door has simple but delicious home cooked meals No hairdryer. Still under renovation. The old outdoor stairs are challenging for older travellers carrying luggage. However a lift is under construction

• Lyn (10/5): Great little motel. - Lovely staff, go out of their way to be kind and friendly. Covered parking directly outside our room, so convenient. Very clean, nice blankets, sheets. Nice pool with pool towels provided. Fridge, toaster and kettle provided. Quiet. No cooking allowed in rooms, so no microwave to reheat. Strange that the toilet is directly in front of the door of the shower.

• Merryn (2/5): I actually felt vulnerable and unsettled. - There was breakfast???? I didn't know that! I wasn't given any instructions on where / how / when .. The room was clean. I actually felt intimidated and very vulnerable in a corner room surrounded by tradies, each sitting outside their door when I arrived. I did not want to leave the room so didn't go out to get any dinner. They were also extremely noisy when they arrived home from their dinner / ?pub around 10pm for an hour, which again made me feel very uncomfortable.

• Helen (7/5): Owners were helpful friendly and polite and enjoyed our golfing weekend with friends. - Rooms were tidy and clean and in a good location to the lovely cafes and restaurants in town. Owners friendly and helpful. Bed was hard, shower leaked, tv was small and had a faded white square in the centre of the picture. I paid for a triple room and was given a twin. We still had a great weekend and we weren’t worried about the couple issues but would like to just let them know to improve the stay for others.

Outside kitchen was bizarre and other guests congregated there and outside the pool to drink making it uncomfortable to use either. Would be so simple to at least supply amicrowave and a couple of plates etc. Was told to make sure dishes were done yet no washing liquid in room or kitchen area. Used baking soda to wash them.Had to ask for extra toilet paper twice and coffee etc was not replaced (3 night stay), although we did get replacement towels.Was the most expensive hotel of our trip and sadly lacking.

• Katie (4/5): - Honestly- it was a very average experience. A plus is we got check in early, but we basically were handed our keys and that was it- no information on where things are or about using any of the facility. The room was okay for space for me and two teenagers. Bathroom was okay. But the ants- there were heaps of dead on the walls, skirting floor, and then there were the live ants. I took photos but after I cleaned up so many of the dead bodies. We are not a messy family, and we always cooked in the communal kitchen, so our food remained pretty much out there except the odd drink or cookie. As soon as that left on the bench, so many ants everywhere on the tables/shelving. For $144 a night is what a great value staying so close to port Douglas and Mossman gorge, but it wasn’t worth going through the experience of the ants. The kitchen area was okay but a bit messy- I am a cleaner so I cleaned everything before we used it to cook.

• SUSAN (8/5): - The couple who manage the Motel were lovely. The location was good and room comfortable. A little outdated and one of the most expensive of this standard motel we have paid- however you are at the gateway of the Daintree and Mossman Gorge.
