Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): A pousada superou as expectativas.
- Linda (10/5): Beautiful place! - We came to rio before a cruise and were lucky enough to find this place. Our hosts were outstanding and views incredible!
- narshi (10/5): very nice place near beech and good location - we stayed during world cup, it was hard to find hotel in Rio and very expensive, and read good reviews about this place so decided to book this hotel. We had great time, even the owners took us to local restaurant to have lunch and very good food at reasonable price. we had great time as all the hotel guest were football fans from different parts of world so it was party atmosphere
- Shane (6/5): In the middle of no where - Don't get me wrong, this is a nice place overall but if you are getting this hotel to avoid Rio's ridiculously expensive hotels and you are planning to commute from this location every day back and forth to Rio, FORGET ABOUT IT, it's not practical. The ride is long and the road condition is bad, the last half a mile between the village and the hotel is dirt road, the commute is 90 minutes one way at the best (outside rush hours). If you are thinking about getting a hotel in a small village by the beach enjoying nature and quite environment then this might be the right place for you. The staff is helpful and friendly and most importantly they speak good English (a rare finding in Brazil), the hotel itself feels like home, the rooms are OK, the bathroom wasn't "Hotel Clean" and looks like there is no daily cleaning either. The breakfast was good. It feels like you join a group of acquitances as you ran into other guests quite often.
- Hlumela (10/5): Fantastic service - I'd go back to the Pousada Colonial tomorrow if I could have money! That's how happy I am about the establishment. The staff is very friendly and helpful and their meals are very delicious. The sea view from the terrace where we enjoyed a healthy breakfast is a 'must experience'!
