Guest Reviews
- Destination389133 (8/5): Cute inn - Breakfast was delicious. The inn is very cute and loved the cat. The decor is great. The only negative is the very busy road outside the inn. They have sound machines in each room but still loud cars stopping at the traffic light right outside the inn.
- mfevitt (10/5): Charming place to stay - The Henderson is a gem of old-time charm, such a refreshing change from sterile chain hotels. It is quirky and fun. We truly felt like the friendly hosts and owners Jeanne and Michael were sharing their home with us. Michael is a notable chef and Jeanne runs the inn smoothly. Our room was comfortable and cozy. The downstairs is decorated with classic film posters and movie memorabilia. Old black and white movies run silently on tv screens. The breakfasts are amazing with a choice of three entrees, homemade muffins, fruit and smoothies. (We had to leave early on our last morning and Jeanne thoughtfully prepared a to-go breakfast for us.) We hosted a dinner for out-of-town guests for my sister’s birthday at Harvey’s, the in-house gourmet restaurant open several nights a week. We had a private dining room and Michael prepared delicious dishes. The French onion soup and raspberry crème brulee were outstanding . The inn is located easy walking distance from the heart of downtown Hendersonville.
- carrollc291 (10/5): The Henderson is like finding a good book to read. - Gracious hospitality is just one of the many reasons to choose to stay at the Henderson. The food is exceptional and the inn feels like home with all the efforts made to mimic the changing seasons and holidays. It is very close to many other great places surrounding the Hendersonville area and we look forward to our next visit.

- nickaV2791IF (10/5): The Henderson - top notch B&B - Finding an exceptional B&B in the center of town can be a difficult feat; however, the Henderson was a great find. My wife and I enjoyed the friendly staff from the moment we arrived. Accommodations were quite comfortable and the breakfast experience was top notch. We even decided to stay for a dinner at Harvey's - again, compliments to the chef and serving staff. They really outdo themselves. The B&B is located close to many shops in town if you want to enjoy a morning or afternoon shopping stroll. We also enjoyed apple picking and one of the local wineries. So many things to do in and around Hendersonville - but it was nice to have "The Henderson" as our home base.
- Kathryn (10/5): - Unique, owner-run historic hotel just steps away from downtown Hendersonville. Each room features cheerful, eclectic decor. Delicious on-site dining options for chef-prepared daily breakfast plus dinner service several nights a week. The owners/hosts provide an artsy, cozy vibe that is harmonious with the overall atmosphere of the town. Hendersonville aka Hendo has a long, colorful history of being a travel destination and the area is noteworthy for its professional innkeeping traditions.
- Richard (10/5): - Unique property. Excellent caring staff. Great cisit
- Trail44731082623 (10/5): Perfect Getaway - Great B & B. Perfect location easily walkable to restaurants/breweries. The Henderson itself was great too. Great staff and a really nice home!
- MeriFlynn (10/5): Apple Festival 2025 - My husband and I stayed at The Henderson during the apple festival. This is the second year we stayed here ane we love it. It has a comfortable atmosphere and the innkeepers are so accommodating.
One of the best things about The Henderson is the food! I looked forward to eating breakfast everyday. It was delicious!! If you have not stayed here, YOU SHOULD!!
- Q6422WBhelenj (10/5): Amazing bed and breakfast in Hendersonville - Jeanne and Michael run an amazing bed and breakfast. The 100 year old building is a very cute. The front porch is perfect to watch the world go by. Michael is absolutely amazing chef. We ate there several times and did not have one bad meal. The breakfasts were amazing. Jeanne is provides amazing service. The inn is so close to downtown. It is very walkable to downtown Hendersonville. We would highly recommend staying here. We just loved it.
- DRHALister (10/5): We came to attend a wedding, but the hotel outdid it. - To stay anywhere else in the Hendersonville area would be a mistake. Not only are the rooms comfortable, but the food is extraordinary. Graciousness is abundant and the staff are very attentive. The wrap around porch is perfect for reading or just musing, and you can have your meals there, too.
- Tanya (10/5): - A block from downtown- lovely shopping. Owners very accommodating. Would return.
- Wander56034264055 (10/5): Amazing! - Fun and convenient stay, right in the downtown area. Hosts and staff were awesome. The complementary breakfast each morning was amazing! I would definitely stay here again. The value for the cost was exceptional. We especially enjoyed the complimentary tickets to see Cats at the Flat Rock Theater! 10 out of 10, definitely recommend!
- Denise (10/5): - Wonderful overnight stay. Wish we had more time to explore this historic inn! We will return and have dinner at Harvey's.
- Matthew (8/5): - Well restored
- Patricia A (10/5): - Just a great Historical Gem.
Its not just your average Inn,
Great Gormet breakfasts, with awesome service. JEANNE AND MICHAEL. Above and beyond for my sons Birthday Dinner!
And Great coffee and braeakfast smoothies!
- Andrew (10/5): - Very comfortable and near Main Street and dining!!
- I6982EKcathyc (10/5): Extraordinary Spa Experience - Spa Servies at The Henderson are extraordinary! Highly recommended Bethann for the best facial I’ve ever had.
And Theresa excellent Pedi Manicure.
What a treat and rejuvenating experience. For myself and girlfriends.
Looking forward to returning with my daughter & daughter-in-law.
- 623anil (10/5): An memorable day at the Inn - The Inn is well appointed in the turn of the century chic. We loved those poster beds and old world charm. The old fashioned front porch that wrapped around the Inn was a great place to sit in a rocking chair and do people watching on bright sunny day! Nice! The dining at the Inn had a variety of eclectic delights. The Inn has restaurant that is open three nights a week with with tempting dinner ideas! We thoroughly enjoyed our exotic dinner. Actually, the chef/owner cooked up an exotic meal that was not on the menu! That was a nice touch! The breakfast in the morning has a variety of choices. Overall, very pleasant and memorable experience. We shall return, needless to say!
- Judy (10/5): 2023 Travelers' Choice Award - The hotel is historic, cozy, well maintained. The location is great, walking distance to shops and restaurants. The owners were delightful, easy to talk with, helpful. Michael, the chef, is amazing! Creative. The breakfasts and dinners were scrumptious and beautifully presented. You'll be glad you stayed and ate here.
- Cupcake (10/5): My favorite bed and breakfast - Michael and Jeanne were the best hosts and make the most delicious food! I’ll be booking with them next time.
- Maryann (10/5): - Lovely place!!!! We hope to come back for another stay. The breakfasts were outstanding !
Michael and Janine were the perfect host and hostess.
- Rally276 (10/5): Highly recommend this historic gem! - Lovely historic inn in the center of historic district. Our room was on the 2nd floor and was very comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast on the coveted porch and the wonderful hospitality of Jeanne and Michael. We also enjoyed the complimentary theatre package at Flat Rock theatre and saw a fantastic performance of “Boeing, Boeing.”
- Michele (10/5): Quaint B&B - The Henderson is quaint and filled with fun old movie decor. We loved sitting out on the porch. The beds are a bit teeny as the building is old and not set for bigger beds.
The breakfasts were wonderful!
- Janet (10/5): - Excellent- all aspects. Clean, pleasant hosts, & excellent breakfast!
- geneb2017 (10/5): Went in wondering. Came out convinced! Loved it! - Comments:
At first, I'll admit I had some hesitation about the Henderson because of the very very reasonable price compared to other B&Bs in the area. That hesitation disappeared almost immediately after we arrived.
Why:
The location (one short block from all the action.
The very welcoming reception when we came in the door.
Did I mention the price? How do they even make any money...
Once inside you are immersed in such a wonderfully eclectic environment. Your eyes can't stop looking around at everything.
This 100+ year old building has another feature that I loved. The squeaky floors and stairs confirmed it is an old stately lady. You are taken back to another era.
But, if you are looking for elegance, don't look here. If you want a more bohemian experience, this is the place.
The food is tremendous, as you would expect when the owner provides the "elegance" here through his food.
Some of the rooms might be smaller than others, but they were larger than we needed.
It was so convenient to walk one or a few blocks to so much dining and shopping. Didn't use the car at all except for wineries. .
As Mikey said in TV ads years ago, "Try it, you'll like it"
Finally, I'm not a relative and was not paid for these words. I just wanted to give credit when it is duly earned
- Gene (10/5): Stayed in an eclectic piece of history! - Our most enjoyable B&B stay yet! Why?
The couple who own it were exceptionally welcoming.
One short block puts you in the center of everything.
The property is over 100 years old. The creaking floor boards and stairs took us back to another time.
The decor(ations) are impossible to walk by without stopping to look at. Especially the photos/posters.
The price is excellent!
Yes, our room was small but you can upgrade. We still had plenty of room.
The owner is an accomplished chef and the restaurant on site is top quality.
The cocktail hour is pleasant in the cozy living room areas.
I would describe the property as more bohemian than elegant. Definitely shows it's age, but that's what gives it it's appeal!
We're going back and I hope you will give it a try. We had our trepidations going in, but left planning to return on each trip.
- THOMAS (10/5): Loved The Henderson - This B &B is so unique and special! Not fancy but full of good vibes and wonderful owners! Nice little bar with yummy drinks! Great breakfast and tons of fun memorabilia to enjoy! Also walking distance (very close) to downtown!
- Richard (10/5): - Lovely historic b&b
- Rhonda (10/5): - Michael and Jeanne are so welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts were wonderful.
- Tonia (10/5): - Historic building with character. That character's name is Harvey. I enjoyed everything about this stay, the people, the food, the rooms, etc.
- Don (10/5): - It's over 100-years old and has a lot of original, unique features that are very cool. Air conditioning is in the bedrooms (thank heavens) and kept the rooms very nice. The halls and all can feel a bit muggy on a hot day, but overall, outstanding and wonderful.
- Rita (10/5): - It was exactly what we was looking for. Nice place.
- Scott (10/5): A friendly place to stay - Proprietor Jeane was fantastic. She is friendly and provided outstanding service. The inn has a good vibe - relaxed and comfortable like you’re visiting family or friends. It’s a bit noisy due to creaky floors and street noise heard thru the windows but it’s sort of expected for a century old bldg. Breakfast was delicious.
- Richard (10/5): - Very nice. The service was great. Wish we could have been there when they were serving dinner.
- Teresa (6/5): - The property owners were super nice. The food was very good. The place was old and creeky, but had some charm. Our room was small to say the least, and only had a tiny rocker to sit in and it was creeky too. We were two people and needed two chairs. The rooms were not worth what we paid and probably would not stay there again for that reason.
- Brian (8/5): Historic property with wonderful hosts. - Hosts were wonderful… the historic property was a little tired, but that’s understandable and added to the charm.
Very convenient to Main Street. Make sure to book the evening meal at the hotel.. it’s excellent.
- MeriFlynn (10/5): Awesome overnight trip! - We stayed at the Henderson over the weekend. It was a wonderful experience and we definitely go back and stay there. Breakfast in the morning was delicious! I highly recommend The Henderson!! It was a comfortable and relaxing environment. The location is good too.
- LindaS872 (10/5): Stepping back in time - We took a step back in time on this vacation. There are antiques throughout, even down to the antique shower, which takes a while to figure out. I guess back then they were happy to Get a shower!
The owners and family are very gracious and comply to any wishes we had.
The breakfast that was included featured many dishes we never had. each prepared just right.
The porch was a great place to read and relax or dine.
It was quite an experience staying here. Thank you all.
.
- thecheerfulword (10/5): Everything was perfect! - I hosted a retreat for my personal history colleagues at this ideal, historic location—just one block from charming Main Street.
Everything was excellent: the food (oh, the breakfasts!), Michael and Jeanne, the room and bed, the lounge, the bright, private meeting room, etc.
I highly recommend The Henderson to anyone looking to visit Western North Carolina.
- Gregory (10/5): - The Henderson is a very charming and rustic place to stay. It is in a great location and is very convienent to the local shops, restaurants and pubs. The host and staff are very friendly and accommodating. They provide two choices for breakfast each morning. The meals are delicious. We plan on making the Henderson our play to stay when visiting my hometown of Hendersonville, NC.
- Richard (10/5): - Reasonable,clean, cozy
- Mark (10/5): - We really enjoyed our 2-night stay. Would easily choose The Henderson on our next visit.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - We had a great stay. Very nice old hotel.
- 562annem (10/5): Weekend Getaway - Enjoyed this historic inn. Our room was cozy, and the breakfasts were outstanding! Michael was able to offer options regarding food intolerances. And Jeanne was super helpful with local recommendations. The inn's location is great, with off street parking and an easy walk to the many downtown shops and restaurants.
- mwY8321RX (10/5): A gem in the City of Four Seasons! - This was our second stay at The Henderson. We have enjoyed both of our stays immensely. A beautiful old historic building one block off Main Street makes it easy to explore & enjoy Hendersonville. Jéanné welcomes you warmly and takes care of your every need, including providing referrals to just about any service you may need. Michael will spoil you with incredibly delicious breakfasts. And, the dinners in their public restaurant, Harvey’s, are amazingly good. Not so surprising given Michael’s culinary chef experience. Coming to Hendersonville? Stay at The Henderson!
- John (6/5): - Stay was nice. Building is old and is well taken care of. Not for everyone but decent. Staff is great and food was pretty good.
- iansW6021SZ (10/5): Wholesome Local Experience, Loved Our Stay - Beautiful old building, lots of character. It was nice to stay in a hotel other than a chain hotel. It helped give us a better experience while in Henderson county, while in North Carolina.
The owners were friendly and helpful. I can’t say how much we enjoyed the breakfast. So much so that the worst part of our stay was the breakfast that we missed because of an early flight out.
- clindo4 (6/5): Location, location, location! Walking distance to nice eateries and attractions. Free and convenient parking. - Location was great and the reason for the 3rd star. Female ‘staff’ member, maybe the innkeeper, no introduction, was friendly. Breakfast was mediocre. I am admittedly a picky eater but even my husband, who eats everything, couldn’t eat the turkey bacon. The building was cool with nice character though a bit worse for the wear. The primary reason that I gave it the 2 stars was that it really needs to have higher end linens to include bedding, window coverings and bathroom accessories. Less of the bargain decor would allow one to see the cuteness of the space. By the way… I am a thrift store shopper so I don’t have expectations of high end home decor. The Inn has so much potential. Good Luck❣️
- Lucian (8/5): Short stay in room 20 - We had a very pleasant stay at The Henderson. Jeanne checked us in and she's very nice and welcoming. Room was small and the floor was very squeaky. The TV in the room is very small. Excellent breakfast and dinner at Harvey's. Overall, we would like to come back and perhaps try a different room.
- BigSacagewa (10/5): We liked The Henderson - We enjoyed two nights there in mid-October. We liked the historic nature of the property and the proximity to downtown Hendersonville. The complimentary breakfasts were very good, as was the hospitality of the Innkeeper-couple. We did report an overgrown bush in the drive to the parking area that scratched our car, and a Keurig coffee maker that seemed to be in disrepair. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Henderson.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Delightful stay! Owners are lovely and the food was delicious! Will definitely be here again!
- Julian (10/5): - Charming and very convenient to walking downtown. Great breakfast.
- DELRAY_CHUCK (10/5): Chuck & Pams 2023 adventure - Love old historic B&B's with friendly innkeepers/ owners. Excellent breakfast to boot. This building has lots of character to it and you have to appreciate that. We took a 3rd floor room that was large with little entryway and bath and bedroom separate though within the room. With me being an early riser i can get ready without disturbing my wife. Our room did not have a shower but a big whirlpool tub with a handheld also so not a normal shower setup but worked for us. Right in downtown Hendersonville and would stay there next time we visit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay - clean, great hosts, delicious food, friendly staff and relaxing. Historic Landmark building that has plenty of character, well taken care of, and perfectly located. We will be back.
- Tony (10/5): - First time in the area. I had heard this was the best place to stay in town and they were right!
Location: 1 block off the main street. Walking distance to everything and still quiet.
Innkeepers: very cool couple that own / run the place. Husband is the chef, wife runs the front desk and the bar. Makes a great cocktail.
Restaurant: awesome. Had a great dinner there. Very unique menu. Chef is British, cooked on cruise ships earlier and lots of local fresh ingredients. Breakfast the next morning was lovely.
Decor: traditional Carolina style yet edgy. Lobby is full of vintage mobster / movie posters and trinkets. You can tell the people behind this place are well traveled and cool.
Dont stay anywhere else in Hendersonville.
- DPBunnies359 (10/5): Always A Pleasure - Michael, Jeanne, and the team never fail to make our experience fantastic at The Henderson. The Inn is top notch, the food is second to none, and they make us feel like part of their family. Hendersonville and The Henderson are a great vacation destination or for just a quick get away. We will be back!!!
- Kimberly (4/5): - i expected the property due to it's age to be antique like but it bordered on tacky. We were asked not to run the electric floor heater at the same time as the hair dryer or we would blow a fuse. The toilet seat was loose and uncomfortable. The decorations were lacking in taste it was a hodge podge of thrown together pieces in the yard. The room advertised it had a TV and the definition of a TV was a monitor about the size of a computer monitor. We were there to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary a weekend that we cannot get back. Downtown Hendersonville did not disappoint but we were forced to spend the evening in a sports bar rather than the room that we rented to watch our sports team play their championship game. Our plans were to watch in our room.
- Daniel (10/5): Best place in Hendersonville - Perfect location, walk right to main st (1 block away) or the Tavern across the street. The Henderson is lovely, the hosts are great, and the food was outstanding. Highly recommended!
- robert (2/5): - The hotel was in poor shape. It is an old historic hotel but it has not been matained at all. Toilet did not work. Had to unplug heater to use hair dryer.
- Nchapis (10/5): Going back in time - My husband and I had a wonderful stay at The Henderson. Can't wait to go back. Very comfortable and clean. Great food. Did not expect such fantastic dinners and breakfast. Walking distance to downtown Hendersonville. Very relaxing. When you walk in the door the hosts Michael and Jeanne say welcome home.
- martinpb64 (10/5): What a Great Place to Stay - From the moment I arrived to the moment I checked out was made to feel like one of the family . Michael and Jeanne have a fantastic skill in making you feel most welcome , nothing is too much trouble . The breakfasts are incredible The room I had was very comfortable , and the bed was a dream , large with lovely soft pillows , just wished I could have stayed longer.
The town itself is very laid back and feels very safe .
A great destination to base yourself if exploring the mountains .
- S1244BFdawnd (10/5): Bee Happy at The Henderson - We have stayed at The Henderson before and continue to love it. It’s quaint, SUPER CLEAN, friendly. Perfectly located to walk to the Main Street for shopping, dining and special events. The Inn keepers are very kind. We enjoyed complimentary breakfast which was delicious: Todays choice was spinach omelet, fresh fruit and cinnamon roll or you could have waffles with fresh fruit.
- JeffPamRogers (10/5): Weekend getaway - As always this place exceeds our expectations. Great room, great hosts, great food and only steps from Downtown Hendersonville. Can’t wait to get back for another weekend. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Hendersonville.
- michaelcZ4889JM (10/5): Fantastic Inn to stay - We stayed at the Henderson on a road trip on 7/7 for 2 nights. It is a fantastic place to stay. The place is very quaint and charming. From the time we checked in with Jeanne to checkout 2 days later, we were treated like part of the Inn family. We traveled with 2 small dogs, and they were so welcomed.
The location is perfect. You walk out to downtown Hendersonville. You won't find a better location in Hendersonville.
The breakfast was great and very creative. Michael, who is an accomplished chef, was fantastic.
Michael and Jeanne are the owners and so hands on. They welcome you and are just so friendly and accommodating. It is a very laid-back approach.
I would highly recommend this place to stay when in the Hendersonville area.
Thanks

- June (10/5): - Exquisite in every way!
- Melanie (10/5): - We were looking for a place to stay in Hendersonville that wasn't A typical hotel and we found the perfect place. The owners were super cool! The staff was awesome! The Henderson has a lot of character, clean, comfortable and great drinks:) We will definitely stay there again.
- Teresa (10/5): - We love the food, the ambiance and being in walking distance to Main Street. Probably best though is the feeling of friendship and family each time we return.
- Robin (4/5): Disappointed - Advertised having restaurant and bar on site. Both were closed. No hot water in room. So, no shower was taken. Downstairs for breakfast the area was terribly cold. We will not return.
- AMBER (10/5): Awesome stay - We had a wonderful time. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. We will differently be back.
- Daniel (8/5): - Wonderfully friendly owners and staff. Our room was a little dark. Otherwise very pleasant experience.
- Tara (10/5): - Very friendly innkeepers. The property has a lot of charm helped by the fact that it leans into its historical status. Very walkable to several restaurants in town and its a short drive from great hiking destinations.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Conveniently located an easy walk from downtown Hendersonville, The Henderson is a beautiful bed and breakfast that I cannot wait to visit again! We loved our stay at The Henderson. From the very beginning of my experience Jeanne was beyond helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic every morning and I really appreciated the honey from their own bee hives served with my tea.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We've stayed here twice in the last year and it's been a great experience both times. The owners made us feel so welcome. The food is incredible and it is close to town. Highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great getaway.
- karen (10/5): - The owners were super friendly and made you feel very welcomed. The location is excellent, right in downtown and the breakfast both days we stayed was amazing!! the only reason we didn't have dinner at the restaurant was because we wanted to walk around town more. Highly recommend this place.
- Stacy (10/5): Birthday celebration - The building was built in 1919 old but very clean and comfortable. The food at their restaurant was amazing. We will definitely visit again. Very pleasant owners made us feel at home.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Charming b&b . friendly welcoming owners. Would go back!!
- Eddie (10/5): - We were in NC for a mountain biking trip. Only planned to stay one night, but when we realized how close to everything and how cool the Hotel is, we stayed an extra day.
Be sure to visit the 3rd floor.
- Richard (10/5): Had a great stay at the Henderson -
We enjoyed our stay. Great location to shops and restaurants. The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly.
- Chris (10/5): - Super convenient to local restaurants and wineries. Solid breakfast.
- Luke (10/5): Great couples getaway destination - Jeanine and Michael are great hosts. We were offered a different menu for breakfast every morning and everything we had was fantastic.
We also ate one night at their restaurant, Harvey's and it was one of the best meals we had in Hendersonville. We were seated outside on their wrap around porch. We had plenty of room between tables and all servers wore masks the entire time. We felt very safe and comfortable.
They offered recommendations on places to go, like Dupont and Pisgah for hikes.
The room was well decorated and clean.
We look forward to staying again.
- JRM (10/5): - We love the owners...the overall feel/charm of the building itself...the fact that our dog is treated as well as a human guest...the little coffee/tea stations on each floor...the bar...and the restaurant, "Harvey's" is fantastic.
- Carillon (10/5): B&B in an historic inn - We stayed over Thanksgiving and had an excellent dinner at Harveys, which is part of the B&B. The breakfasts were delicious and there were always two choices. There was also coffee available on all 3 floors. The hosts were welcoming and the location was a short walk to Main Street.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The atmosphere is great. The owners make you feel welcome. The food was excellent and the room was comfortable and had everything we needed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was amazing..... Michael his bride and wonderful staff made our visit special. Many thanks and we’ll be talking about you and The Henderson for a time to come

- Gail (8/5): - The Henderson is a 100 year old building with beautiful wood floors & trims. Our room was spacious, well kept with comfortable rustic bed. A wardrobe sufficed as closet space. Rocking chairs on wrap around porch were popular, as were iron tables & chairs. Parking behind was.limited, but no problem p AZ parking at curb. Breakfast was 2 choices, servings adequate, food well prepared & tasty. It was a great accommodation.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We loved the hotel! It is within walking distance to everything in downtown Hendersonville. The owners, Michael and Jeanne, go out of their way to make everyone feel right at home. The restaurant, Harvey, is amazing. We had a great weekend visit and will be sure to return.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A very nice B and B with outstanding food. Definitely will be back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nostalgic. Charming old hotel converted to B&B. Food and service were excellent.
- Jacob (10/5): Great place great location! - We loved our stay! Brunch was excellent and the hospitality was great! We also loved Hendersonville.
- Gail (10/5): Weekend get away - We absolutely loved the Henderson... beautiful home and decorations we're too cute...Jeanne and her husband are the most wonderful hosts...we will be returning and telling all our friends and family to visit the Henderson
- Nicole (8/5): hendersonville a nice little town - We had a pleasant stay the room was located towards the side of the road and was a bit noisy, so we had to use some earplugs. We had booked the room for two nights thru expedia/hotels.com and that's probably why we were given the more nosy room. It was also very bright early in the morning so I would highly recommend a sleeping mask. The owners and staff of the hotel were extremely nice and pleasant.
- Jennifer (10/5): Great service! - I traveled for business to these cozy bed and breakfast. Michael and Jeanne were very kind and accommodating, and Michael made me delicious gluten-free breakfasts!
- Bill (10/5): - Classic movies, Great food, and welcoming hosts!
-- HOSTS -- My wife and I normally prefer to stay in a hotel, allowing anonymous coming and going. Michael and Jeanne have struck exactly the right balance. They are personable, and fun to chat with. And certainly know their movies ! --AMBIENCE -- classic movies are the team, with photos of movie stars and classic movie posters all over. In addition, we visited in October and they had thoroughly decorated for Halloween. Good fun! --FOOD -- the food is gourmet excellent ! Michael was head of culinary for Royal Caribbean Cruise lines. The Henderson is his chance to do excellent meals on one by one personal basis. -- MOVIE NIGHT -- sadly, we missed Wednesday movie night. They show a classic movie, pausing the movie occasionally to serve the next food course. We look forward to a future movie night when they show "streetcar named desire" and serve jambalaya and Stella beer :-) HIGHLY RECOMMEND
- Ronald (10/5): Great Romantic Getaway - The owners live onsite and interact with the guest. Very pleasant and friendly staff, clean rooms, great location convenient to downtown, restaurants, and attractions. Well worth the visit
- Vicky (10/5): - The hotel has a lot of character and very charming! The staff is super nice. Our room was spacious with a great view. It wat on the third floor and, since this is a historic place, there is no elevator. So, if you are not able to climb stairs, this is probably not your accommodation of choice.
We had dinner at the Inn and it was superb. The chef Michael is very talented and you can feel the European touch in the dishes. Overall, a great experience
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owners of The Henderson are amazing. They really make you feel like you are friends staying in their home. The food is fantastic. Downtown Hendersonville is within walking distance. We had an event to attend in Asheville, and Michael arranged transportation for us. We truly enjoyed our stay.
- Scott (10/5): New Favorite in Hendersonville - We loved staying at the Henderson! First, the innkeepers are amazing! Jeanne and Michael took time to get to know my family and make sure we had everything we need. We have a nine month-old baby, and they went out of their way to accommodate him. Second, the food is incredible! Michael is an excellent chef, and breakfast was great as expected. What we didn't realize until we arrived was how good the restaurant and bar are. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings with drinks and small plates from Harveys. Third, our room was perfect for our family of three. We stayed in one of the queen rooms which was clean, comfortable, and spacious (with plenty of room for a pack & play in the corner).
We love visiting Hendersonville and have stayed in many local B&B's and hotels. While we have had good experiences at most of them, the Henderson is by far the best. We definitely plan to return here next time we are in the area.
- BRUCE (10/5): Hendersonville NC place to stay - Chef Mike and Jeanine were phenomenal hosts. The Inn is in the heart of Hendersonville, walking distance to all the shops. The room was very clean and comfortable. Jeanine made me feel like family the moment I stepped through the front door with a warm greeting and a big smile. Chef Mike made breakfast a time to look forward to every morning. I stayed Thanksgiving week and I wanted to bring my entire family back to experience the charm of this B&B. I look forward to staying there the next time I'm in Hendersonville, NC and recommend anyone in the area to stay here.
- John (10/5): - New owners are great! Very personable and the food was amazing.
