Guest Reviews
- Marina (1/5): Roubaram nosso dinheiro! -
- Isabel (9/5): DE RELAJO TOTAL - EL ENTORNO EN LA NATURALEZA, LAS VISTAS, LAS TERMAS, EL SPA, EL DESAYUNO QUE ME COBRARAN LLAMADA TELEFÓNICA ,EN CONSECUENCIA QUE NO TIENEN SEÑAL PARA LOS HUESPEDES Y USAR CELULARES.
NO ME GUSTÓ QUE EL DESAYUNO FUERA SOLO HASTA LAS 10:00
- Mario (10/5): -
Nada
- Susana (7/5): -
- Oriana Del Carmen (9/5): One night is too short a stay, we needed unleast three nights to fully enjoy the facilities. - The hot springs outside the facilities were amazing.
The view from anywhere is superb. The lady from reception when we arrived was attentive and kind. The lady who checked us out of the facility needs some kindness and to be more amicable.
Not nice at all for the end of our stay.
- Fernan (10/5): -
- Abel (10/5): Fabuloso....................
- Felipe (9/5): -
- Kfir (7/5): Very poor value for money for a very nice place - Very nice scenic place, remote from Civilization in the jungle. Great hot springs. very large rooms. Toilets had a lot of problems when flushing. They tried to repair but did not manage. We had to insist on changing room. The dinner selection is limited and quite expensive. . sometimes we as well as other gusts preferred to eat at the bar.
we could not use the sauna / the indoors pool without ordering a massage. This is not reasonable for such high price per night.
- Silke (8/5): Great place for relaxing - Priceless view and tranquility, great service. If you are seeking nature and silence, it‘s the best place to relax. Service, bar and restaurant are really nice. Ferry service works nicely. Building and facilities starts aging and could use some more maintenance.
- Mark (10/5): Overall our experience was wonderful 😊 - Beautiful location Food at your bar was great 👍
Dinners were just ok 👌
- Cristian (10/5): -
- Gustavo (10/5): -
- Marini (9/5): - El entorno. Pocas actividades
- Susan (8/5): Very relaxing, with beautiful views and thermal/spa activities - Beautiful views from every room and shared space, thermal springs and bay to enjoy; good breakfasts, great drinks, kayaking; nice spa treatments; view of stars from pools at night! Only 2 short hikes so not too much hiking in that area; bathroom vanity was dated and could have used some work; limited options for dinner so ate from bar menu which had vegetarian options and salads and better hours; location is amazing but we had an early fishing activity which meant paying for the boat transport before regular runs
- SUSANA (10/5): - Muy buen trato.
- Scharp (9/5): In hot water, in a good way. - Beautiful location, friendly staff, outdoor thermal pools, excellent massage, comfortable bed, good breakfast Hiking trails need more maintenance.
- Kathleen (9/5): -
- Michele (10/5): Um lugar mágico! - A localização é imbatível!
- Esteban (10/5): A rejuvenating, special experience - The location is spectacular and really remote. The element of disconnect is special, but you MUST plan ahead, if you have connecting trip beyond.
We loved the hotel, the living areas were cozy, the bar had great drinks. The restaurant had high end, rich, good food, with great wine pairings. The breakfast was ample with many options.
The facilities such as the termes/pools are very special and there are various options if you prefer more privacy vs the view. The fjord/nature really add to it all. The birds and animal life are great.
The rooms on their own were really comfortable & cozy.
The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful when you had inquiries
Lastly, you must use the massage service and ask for the book at the front desk. The options are endless and we left rejuvenated.
- Franziska (10/5): Luxuriöses Hideaway mit ökologischem Touch. Es lohnt sich, 2 Tage zu bleiben. Kein WLan!
- Antonia (10/5): Amazing resort. Highly recommend! - Incredible pools, friendly staff, beautiful nature The shower temperature and speed of warming could be improved
- Bryony (7/5): Unique place to stay but expensive. - It is a novel place to stay, hot springs are fabulous and food is great (barman was excellent!!) It was a lovely place to stay but compared to other places we stayed at in the area it’s very expensive for what it is and some of the staff were not very interested or helpful. Lacked personal touches. And to have to pay extra for kayaking given the price of the rooms seems a bit unnecessary.
- Louise (8/5): -
- fuenzalida sanchez (10/5): -
- Gal (9/5): The scenery makes the disadvantages smaller - The remote location and the scenery were incredible.
Seals and dolphins were swimming in the fjord right in front of the fabulous free hot springs. Rooms need renovation (especially closets and showers).
I was very surprised that we had to pay an extra 25$ pp for spa facilities (which were pool and jacuzzi only).
Bons horaires check in, check out. Rien.
- pizarro aspee (10/5): - Todo
- Marc (10/5): -
- Patrice (8/5): Déconnecté - Le calme, la nature Un peu vieillot
- Gerardo (10/5): -
- THEODOR (10/5): EXCELLENT - EXCELLENT SERVICE, EXCELLENT PEOPLE
- Scott (10/5): Very special place - Location, uniqueness Nothing
- Sverrir (8/5): Beautiful place surrounded with spectacular nature. - Everything was good Nothing especial but some small things
- Joe (6/5): Pleasant - The setting. The spas The dinner food was horrible. Over cooked and the fish was putrid. The bar food was good though. Do not order dinner but eat at the bar.
- Raul (6/5): - Our stay at Puyuhuapi Lodge was, regrettably, far below expectations. To begin with, one must book the boat to access the hotel, which is understandable; however, despite having two boats, several guests were left waiting for 20 minutes due to limited space. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink and a group briefing on the hotel’s facilities, yet no one mentioned the need to book the boat for departure. The following morning, I was informed that the boat was fully booked, causing considerable stress as we had to continue our journey south. Fortunately, we managed to secure a spot thanks to other guests postponing their departure—hardly the standard of organisation one expects.
The hotel itself is charming, with spectacular views and a tranquil atmosphere. Breakfast was delightful, and both the bar and restaurant offered well-prepared dishes. However, the outdoor pools were disappointing—poorly maintained, with only two out of three operational and the water noticeably cold despite being advertised as hot springs. Ironically, there were also issues with hot water in the showers. After waiting over 10 minutes, I was forced to endure a cold shower.
Additionally, the senderos (trails) were poorly maintained, which was disheartening for those keen to explore. Given the price, I expected far more. If you seek hot springs or well-kept trails, I would suggest exploring other options.
- Deborah (8/5): Beautiful, wouldn’t have want to miss it, but it really needs updating - The location is mesmerizing, the hot baths are amazing, the staff is very good and kind It’s in the middle of the caratera austral, so many visitors are on a road trip. Having no WiFi is really not practical. The hotel doesn’t pick up phone, which meant we had to wait for an hour or two close to the jetty and weren’t able to call for a private boat. The interior is old and needs updating. Some serous rebuilding is necessary
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cathleen (10/5): Unique remote luxury experience - Thermal pools
Spacious, comfy rooms with beautiful views.
Excellent service. Wished they had a vegan option for the dining room. We made do with options from the bar menu.
- Marcel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alex (10/5): - Otherworldly
- Andre (8/5): - Tudo 1000%
- MARLOU CRISTINE FERREIRA (10/5): Um paraiso ! - Excelente !
- Ágnes (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was nice and polite. The restaurant was great, and the environment was breathtaking.
- Natalia (8/5): - Tres bien, mais quand check-out, les frais de be massage a ete inclus dans le bill malgré qu’on n‘on n’a pas pris le massage
- Chloe (8/5): Nice relaxing stay - Beautiful area, thermal baths were great. Lovely treat midway through our trip. The restaurant was great and the food was excellent.
Breakfast was great with lots of choice A little overpriced
The boat only running 3 times a day is a little annoying and restrictive
- Zvi (9/5): Too expensive to what you get - Everything The cost
- Shreyas (6/5): Epic location for a thermal bath and stay! - Such an epic location with amazing thermal baths to soak in. The hikes and kayaking were amazing experiences. The rooms were not worth the price and I would have expected better amenities for the cost.
- Hannes (8/5): Very good -
- Koren (10/5): Exceptional - We have seen dolphins straight from the hot springs! Very exciting
- Limor (10/5): The most amazing hotel in Chile - The hotel is absolutely heaven. One of a kind in the world. Don’t miss it,
Really special place. We will not forget the beautiful moments at the hotel. Thank you so much for everything.
- Greg (10/5): Outstanding romantic getaway few days. One of our favorite things we did in Chile - Wonderful romantic getaway. Everything and everyone was great. Facility beautiful. Food was good and reasonable especially considering there are no other options but they did a great job for a fair price. Umbrellas were a nice touch and spa massages and pools were great. Hot springs maintained well. We loved our time there even though it rained a lot. The hiking trail needs some serious work and maintenance…. Especially since it’s the only option there if you want to get out and stretch legs. Also either take out the pool table or put in a decent one or something else upstairs.
- William (8/5): Puyuhuapi is a rose in need of tending, but a great value and special place for short getaways. - Puyuhuapi Lodge and Spa is in a spectacular location and in its heyday must have been a truly extraordinary hotel. The small bay that Puyuhuapi occupies is filled with seals and passing dolphins. The mist-shrouded mountains are eerily beautiful. Staff were fantastically welcoming and warm, and went out of their way please. Puyuhuapi Lodge and Spa is in a spectacular location and in its heyday must have been a truly extraordinary hotel. Now, approx 30 years after its expansion in 1997, details are exhibiting advanced signs of age: grout has been replaced by caulk in the bath, cabinets are scratched, the ceiling in the bedrooms are littered with holes, TP dispensers in changing rooms are rusted, paint in the changing rooms is peeling and flaking off, exposed water pipes litter the grounds ... In order to reclaim the mantle of a five-star destination serious investment is needed
- Alexander (9/5): Unique lodge / spa hotel with fantastic views and excellent thermal baths. - The outside spa / thermal baths were great and they are open 24/7. The hotel offers great views across the lake. Restaurant is of good quality and offers a 3 course menu.
Furthermore, we liked that there is no internet / telephone connection available….great to relax! You need the ferry to access the hotel and there are only a few times per day to take this ferry (2 times in the morning and 3 times in the afternoon).
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - One of a kind. Incredibly beautiful, well maintained hot springs, across a fjord from a national park. Exceptional food. Wonderful massage. Honeymooners dream.
- Alex (9/5): Superb - Unique in many ways. Only a few places on earth can provide you this experience. No internet at all that can be very stressful if not prepared.
- Arturo (4/5): - For the price this is not a good hotel. Pools abandoned, bathrooms lack maintenance with tile falling, inflexible with transportation. The restaurant has fallen in quality since last time I was there 4 years ago and there are no other options. Its a nice location isolated and quite with nice hot spring pools, but not worth the very high price. Plus now they charge extra for kayaks and spa.
- Ana (2/5): Very disappointed :( - View They poorly take care of the facilities, it is too expensive for the quality of everything. Nothing is nice.
I barely had pressure in my shower, and not even hot water… the thermals and pool are in bad conditions…
The bath curtain fell down, everything looks cheap and old and dirty. The beds do not have skirts. The bathrobes are old and scratchy…
cost.
I expected much more from the hotel because of the high
- Ralf (8/5): Lovely and relaxing - Absolutely stunning location A bit tired and no emergency wifi available which means 2-factor auth apps won’t work
- Ori (8/5): Very good -
- Remco (8/5): Great location, NO internet - The location is superb! A great view, wooden buildings look very nice and fit the location. The hot springs are great. The pool area is nice. Food in the bar area is good. Shared area is good/nice view, fireplace. Also a nice pool table. The hotel is outdated, has maintanance backlog but that is outweighted by the nice location. AND: there is NO internet reception (wifi) and also NO phone signal. There is one old (70’s ?) desktop computer; but with double opt in no access to your emails. Asking staff why there is no wifi, there is a mixed story of ‘we haven’t changed a thing in the last 17years’ and ‘we want our guests to disconnect’.
If you can live without internet then go there before the place falls apart which is a petty).
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Great stay and thoroughly attentive staff
- Jason (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): The location is paradise and staff very helpfull -
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (8/5): Beautiful surroundings, ok food, excellent staff, should be adult only. - The staff was excellent and very attentive. The hot springs are lovely and very private and secluded. This place should be an adult only experience. It is not a place for children. The noise from kids was extremely distracting and to be honest, ruined the peaceful vibe that could have been had.
- Claudia (8/5): Very good -
- Valenzuela (8/5): Fabulous place; beautiful facilities, we hope they improve the restaurant. - the place is amazing; wonderful hotel. The location is breathtaking. The restaurant is not up to the standard of the Hotel. We were highly disappointed by the low quality food, expecting a level in correlation to the hotel. we strongly recommend the administration to tale care of the matter.
- Iuliia (5/5): Disappointing experience - Remoteness and various natural hot springs. Ability to hike around the property or kayak in the bay was nice. This place needs maintenance - a lot of things are outdated (the pool area was probably last remodeled in the 90s) and overall experience just isn’t worth the money. Some staff members were pushing for tips even when all you ordered was hot water. We’ve tried several types of pretty expensive massages and facials, but did not enjoy either of them.
- María (10/5): lovely people, lovely place - absolute everything nothing
- Anita (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect from food to room and service was exceptional Everything was so good that I can't tell anything bad about this place.
- Wolfgang (9/5): Superb - Location is great, staff is very kind The indoor spa is more an indoor pool. But who wants to stay indoor there, right?
- -Peg (10/5): - The property was unique in its location and structure. We enjoyed the thermal baths, the hiking, the guided tour of the Ventisquiro Colgante and the delicious meals (they were able to accommodate our Vegan lifestyle.
- juan (8/5): - Overall better maintenance of the facilities would be recommendable.
- Pierre (10/5): fantastic stay in best hotel in Chile - What er perfect stay - incredible place with warm spring pools fantastic scenery and calm. The hotel personal are fantastic and to my big surprise so was the restaurant.
Absolutely worth at least a couple of nights.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Please is majestic. Natural hot sprint right on the fjord, delicious food and warm staff. What more can you ask for?
- simone (10/5): Gem - Amazing. gem of a place.
- Dianne (4/5): Stunning location but lack of interest in guests - The hotel is in a beautiful setting but in order to get there you have to park in a packed car park and take a boat. We naively thought this would be on demand as in other similar hotels but it isn’t and it is very infrequent. If you miss the 3.30 ferry you have to wait until 7pm. We just made it from the airport on arrival but the next day we left on the first boat at 9.30 to visit the national park - we were rushed all day while doing our walks to the hanging glacier and got back 10 mins after the ferry left. We didn’t want to wait and agreed to pay the extortionate fee of over £80 (over $100 US). The next morning they had the audacity to say that the 9.30 boat we had booked was now full of people going on a walking trip with a hotel guide and we would have to wait until 10.15 to leave.
Breakfast was fine but dinner was very poor. There is only a 3 course set menu in the restaurant. There is a choice of 2 items for each course. We did not want meat or seafood with meat, so asked for a vegetarian choice - maybe fish. The fish we were given, (with some deep fried potato balls and no veg) was totally inedible. The second night the choice looked better but the quality of the food was poor. The meal certainly wasn’t cheap - we paid half the price for a much better meal at a very small hotel the next night.
The hotel is expensive and we felt that once you were there they just wanted to get as much more money from you as possible - there was a total lack of customer service.
- Anne (10/5): Lovely respite - Lovely respite. Good food. Comfortable bed. Lovely quiet view. We didn’t do any spa things and still loved it.
- William (8/5): - Great hotel, fantastic ( albeit remote) location. Just one real problem .... that would have been less of an issue if I had been pre-warned and planned for it. ABSOLUTELY NO PHONE SERVICE AND NO INTERNET and it's a 20 minute boat ride ( three times a day service) and a 30 minute drive to the nearest place with cell reception and 3G networks. The hotel does have a satellite phone for emergencies. Had I planned for this eventuality, I might have been able to enjoy a stress free break that this place offers in spades.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful location, but be prepared to unconnected. There is no WiFi service at this property which is a nice break from our daily routines. The only way to get to the resort is by ferry, so time your schedules accordingly with ferry pick up and drop off. It’s also over 4 hours from Coyhaique so you will need to coordinate transportation. This property has the fjord to themselves along with natural hot spring tubs. The hanging glacier is a nice hike near by, but all other activities in the area seemed to be 5-6 hours south.
