Le all inclusive
- J6506DBnicoled (8/5): Last minute birthday get away - I booked this hotel last minute for a birthday getaway with my partner — we’re both in our late 30s.
The hotel is mostly French-dominated, followed by Spanish guests, with English visitors being the minority. It’s very family-orientated, the animation team work extremely hard and bring a great energy from morning till night. There’s always something happening from 10am until midnight: tennis, French bowls, gym, pilates, yoga, board games, darts, and football.
There are three outdoor pools — one deep, one medium, and a shallow kids’ pool with a big smiley face and a mini water park & one indoor pool. There’s also a gym, a children’s playroom, and a kids’ club.
The jacuzzi was unfortunately switched off, when I enquired about the spa, I was told it hasn’t been open since 2020, which was disappointing as would have been handy during a rainy day
Food-wise, there’s plenty of variety and something for everyone, including drinks — we enjoyed the meals overall. The hotel was clean and well-kept, though we did occasionally find cups or plates not properly cleaned during dinner service.
Rooms are small but modern and comfortable.
Location-wise, it’s quite remote, but the hotel provides a free shuttle bus to the beach (about a 10-minute drive), which is a great touch.
Overall, I’d recommend this place. It’s not fancy, but it’s friendly, active, and has a great atmosphere. Perfect if you just want to switch off and be looked after for a few days.
- Curious13683965795 (6/5): Feels stuck in a time warp - Visited October 2025 with my partner. We are both in our 40s. Just to give you an idea of who is writing this.
This is a hotel predominantly booked by French. So most entertainment and staff speak French and Spanish.
Pros:
Room is basic but clean
Bed was comfortable.
Air conditioning and a ceiling fan will keep you cool. Or extra duvets in cupboard if you need a little warmth.
Our room was on back of hotel, so balcony quiet.
Food was ok, wide variety.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Free bus to beach provided. Easy to book via a QR code on reception.
Coffee is good!
Cons:
It is like a cross between an old people’s home and a 60s/70s holiday camp. We were definitely one of the youngest here.
The hotel is vast, but there were so many areas unused. So it is almost creepy in some areas.
It’s outdated. Rooms have small flimsy keys and doors are paper thin. No additional lock inside room door, so does feel quite unprotected.
Pool is freezing But that may be seasonal. It is clean and plenty of sun beds.
Evening entertainment is cringey. Shame as entertainment team work very hard and do better activities during the day if you’re into it.
The bar is crazy. It’s all inclusive but tiny. Often with only one person serving. So queues get long! It’s also the only place you can get a coffee other than at breakfast.
Drinks are cheap local spirits. You pay extra for branded. After 11pm you have to pay for all drinks if you want a late one.
One restaurant. It’s like a zoo! And I’ll agree with others it’s not the cleanest. Also found a lot of fruit was rotten. It’s also dated and has a vibe of an 80s staff canteen. Advice, sit outside if you can, but there’s not many tables available.
Nothing else nearby. So nowhere for a stroll.
WiFi is non existent in the room.
Monotonne jedzenie.

- callumd503 (2/5): Lovely hotel, beware of belongings. - We’re currently staying at this hotel and wanted to share our experience so other guests can be aware. The hotel itself is lovely — great location, nice staff, and beautiful surroundings — but unfortunately, our wallet was stolen from our room during our stay.
After speaking with other guests and locals, we’ve learned we’re not the only ones — several people have mentioned items going missing recently, which is really concerning.
We’ve reported it straight away, but the matter still hasn’t been resolved, and we’re disappointed with the lack of clear communication or support so far.
We’re still here now and trying to make the best of our holiday, but it’s taken the shine off what could have been a great experience.
If you’re staying here, please keep valuables with you or locked securely, and double-check your room security. Hopefully management addresses this seriously — it’s a lovely place that just needs stronger guest protection and follow-up when things go wrong.
- 296josied (6/5): Not 4* lots of issues. - Honest review, just returned.
Booked 2 rooms for 2 single ladies, one of the rooms allocated was more like a cupboard, hardly room to walk around. Given a different room the following night.
Pros: room kept clean daily. Reception staff lovely, in particular EMI, who was very caring and lovely. Animation team work very hard.
Cons:
Overflow and tap areas in the bathrooms unclean. Quite a lot of black mildew. Restaurant quite dirty, not enough staff, customers clearing their own plates and setting own tables. Spillages not cleaned, plates and cups dirty, coffee is a work up, 3 machines probably own one ever working and very slow, spillages off putting around the machines. Breakfast cereals spilled every where. Food lacking taste and cold. Small black flies around the Italian food area.
Outside toilets smelly and dirty.
Pool bar queues always very long. Chairs in the public areas covered in bird mess.
This hotel has so much potential, it is in huge grounds with some endearing features. It is a lot further from the port/beach than portrayed. There are some lovey indoor areas that are under used.
Management need a good shake up, particularly in the restaurant. One buffet restaurant is not enough for the amount of customers. Tables are set like a canteen and quite impersonal. Food is mass produced offering similar foods and standard daily. Food sits around a long time. Impossible some days to even get a coffee.
Staff inattentive, it’s every man for himself.
Porto Cristo is lovely, had some lovely food at the Port.
Wouldn’t go back unless it is drastically improved.
- michellemX6198IA (2/5): Basic - When we 1st arrived , we were shown where to go, as we had a bungalow. The assistant said 'down there' it was dark almost midnight. Very little lighting. Got to a row of bungalows no lighting. Got inside and ants galore we're walking up our legs !!! Next day we got moved. But to more ants coming out of the ceiling! Landing in the bath, and etc.
Seems like the cleaners don't do a deep clean either!
The food very basic and very tasteless. If you fancy a hot drink with your lunch or dinner, that's a no no.
Cakes were lovely though!
Free shuttle to the beach every half hour , which is bonus.
I won't be returning!
- Linmacca (6/5): Genuine English Review - 2 Adults - September 2025 - We tried to cancel this hotel after reading lots of negative reviews, but it was too close to our holiday to do so. Here’s our honest experience:
Pros
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Animation team were welcoming but not pushy — you could join in or just relax.
Nightly entertainment (9:30 pm by the bar) was well organised. We had two “guest acts” during our 8-night stay — a magician and flamenco dancers.
Restaurant had a good choice overall.
Three lovely adult pools and a shallow kids’ pool & always plenty of sunbeds — even in the afternoon, no need to reserve!
Snack bar by the pool served burgers, pancakes etc. in the afternoons.
Self-serve zero fizzy drinks and water at the bar (tip: take your own beaker, as they only provide small paper cups during the day unless you’re having alcohol).
Pool towel hire available (€10 deposit, refunded on departure, towels changed every 3 days).
In-room safe (extra charge).
Hotel overall very clean, though sometimes plates and cutlery in the restaurant were dirty.
Free daily shuttle to Porto Cristo — easy to book via QR code at reception.
Caves of Hams well worth a visit, only a 10-minute walk down hill from the hotel.
Air conditioning in rooms (included) – fantastic, really easy to use and had a “quiet” setting if you wanted to leave it on overnight
Cons
Evening pool bar (the only bar open) always had long queues — a bit of a pain having to time it right.
Outdoor chairs under the trees often had sap or bird droppings — just check before sitting down.
Very noisy rooms — doors slam shut loudly (likely fire doors) and the walls are thin. We could even hear our neighbour snoring each night.
Predominantly French guests. Not a problem for us, but if you’re hoping to socialise with other Brits you may feel out of place. We also found some guests quite rude (pushing in queues etc.).
Coffee machines in the restaurant very slow, with queues as long as the pool bar! & only available during restaurant hours.
Location feels a bit isolated unless you go into Porto Cristo.
Overall: A clean, friendly hotel with good pools and plenty of sunbeds, but let down by noise, queues, and its remote location. Fine if you’re after a simple break, but not somewhere we’d rush back to.
- janicej732 (4/5): Not a 4* but could be - This was advertised as a 4* hotel, but to start with the rooms. No kettle to make your own hot drinks. Not enough toiletries (not even the cheap one liquid does all) except a small bar of soap by sink and shampoo (not body wash). The spa was closed. The gym not air-con and minimal equipment.
The food was plain and simple, the odd dish that had a sauce was tasteless and bland. No variety really. Desserts were same gateaux and jellies. Everything was 'cheap', like the quality of yogurt or the cut of meat. The coffee machine was for breakfast use only, so you couldnt have a hot drink with lunch or dinner.
Coffee was served at one bar where the majority of times only one person serving. Alcohol was rough! But no option to purchase a bottle of wine etc.
Now, the good things. The pools were good and there were enough beds to be able to get one throughout the day. The staff were friendly - mainly French speaking, but that didn't matter. The shuttle bus was good (grumpy driver but hey, we didn't need to speak to him).
We had a restful week, which is what we went for, just a few tweaks and the hotel could be better.
- Q4244JQlauraw (2/5): Unhappy 🙁 - I am giving this hotel a very low rating due to the standard of food and drinks ,, and hospitality,, the selection is so poor and all drinks are out of a machine ,, fresh juice is squash basically watered down awful !!!
Room service just beds were made and changed and towels but rubbish not taken away !!
This seriously needs to improve especially with food and drinks ,, no kettles in room to make a drink I just found the rating of this hotel being what it is are false hopes and expections,, unfortunately we won't be arriving to this hotel again due to the above
- 22sean78 (8/5): Excellent for young families or those looking for a quiet break away. - Yes the reviews you’ve already read suggest this a predominantly French guest hotel, however there are dozens of different European guests also staying here and the staff do speak very good English in the main.
We encountered no difficulties understanding the hotel and what was on offer each day which included entertainment throughout the daytime and into the night. The free shuttle to Porto Cristo was great and not restricted at all, just pick the time you want to go and come back and be there on time and you’ve got no problems, the QR code by reception to use this service works really well and you can select English to make its use even easier.
Food was good with a decent selection to keep everyone happy, we did eat out at Porto Cristo a few times to break up the holiday as with only one restaurant it can be a bit repetitive.
Sun-beds were excellent in quality and there is plenty of them with virtually no one needing to get up early to reserve them, not once did we have any trouble getting our spot each day.
The hotel is very clean throughout, our only gripe which echos some other reviews are the rooms aren’t very well soundproofed and we had some very noisy neighbours check in on our last night.
- Mirrrzz (10/5): Fun and relaxin stay - Stay: friends trip, last week of August, we are European living in the UK, booked with TUI :)
Check-in/Reception: we arrived quite late after dinner time was finished (at 9.30pm), but the lady at reception was very kind and efficient and directed us to some food left in the restaurant. Generally, the reception staff were very kind and helpful and even offered us towels on our last day, as our pickup time was post lunch, so we could still enjoy some pool time and shower before leaving, even if we checked out early in the morning.
Room: we had a double room with two single beds. comfortable and clean. the bathroom shower was a bit outdated, and we noticed the toilet wasn't cleaned properly. upon reporting this to reception they were again very kind and they sent us later a bottle of prosecco to apologise for the inconvenience. The AC worked well, and the balcony had a nice view, towards the back of the hotel, so it was very quiet. The AC doesn't work if the balcony door is open, so that was quite a neat set-up! The walls are quite thin so during quiet hours you can hear people in the hallways or in the other rooms, but overall, we weren't bothered by it.
Food: breakfast is served until 10am, which is nice, if you want to have a bit of a lie in in the morning. The bread was always fresh which was lovely. A big variery of food, and the Spanish night was particularly great. I think there is something to eat for everyone, and the waiters are doing their best to clear up tables, although some of them are more polite than others. Sometimes the glasses weren't super clean, you could tell they were just shoved in the dishwasher and maybe that didn't clean them very well. Overall I'd rate the restaurant a 7-8/10 depending on the day because there is a lot of food variety and it's hard to get bored. The food is very European, so don't expect fish & chips or other UK best sellers.
Facilities: there are 3 pools, one of which is for children, never felt too crowded. There is also a gaming room, small arcade games, pool table, table tennis etc. A shower room next to the gaming room, and an outdoor shower that worked a bit meh next to the pool. Bring cash for renting beach towels. Plenty of sun lounges, so it's quite hard not to find a spot by the pool. Plenty of chairs and tables indoors to chill if you had enough of the sun. There's a tennis court as well, and you can take out games and rackets from the little hut next to the pools. The pool bar is great as well, they offer snacks during the day like burgers, hot dogs, pancakes etc.
Entertainment: I think this is where this hotel shines really :) The entertaintment team is made up of 6-7 young people who organise on the daily activities such as: riffle shooting, archery, dance classes, aqua aerobics, quizzes, sangria making lessons, volley ball etc. They also do a lot of line dancing in the evenings and try to get everyone involved. Luis & the team are great!! Special shout out to Audrey and Jeremy :)
The people and atmosphere: it's a very European atmosphere and the main language spoken in the hotel as well as the activities is French. Even though we weren't French speakers, we found the staff made an effort to speak at most times in French, English and Spanish. During the activities we were involved in they always tried to also speak English and the rest of the guests who were French also made an effort to include us and were generally very kind. People love sitting at the tables outside the stage and getting involved in the evening activities, which was nice to see. There are many children, but they were so well behaved and friendly :) So yes, you will end up learning some French, but why would that be a problem? I feel like we probably would've made some good friends if we spoke more French, but maybe next year :)
- B932RColiviap (8/5): A lovely, relaxing stay: perfect for a chilled one, but don't expect a party! - The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. It is exactly what you'd expect from a 4 star all-inclusive. Food was varied and of a satisfactory standard. Nothing mind-blowing. Our room was comfortable, with air conditioning and a large balcony. The hotel's highlight is definitely the pools: there are three and a children's splash zones. We never struggled to get a sun bed and despite going in peak season, the pools were never too crowded. The animation team were also great! They worked exceptionally hard and provide great entertainment both at night time and during the day. The only downside is the location: there is not a lot going on outside of the town. However, there is a free bus into Porto Cristo (a small fishing village) and you can get buses from there to other places (such as Calla Millor or S'illot). The hotel was great for a relaxing holiday, but might not be for you if you want something more lively. The main language at the hotel is French, but there are still lots of English families there and all of the entertainment is in both languages.
- ashleydQ1876QJ (4/5): 3 star at best - We book for August 2025 to take our three girls first time abroad. We were appauled by this hotel. From ant infestions and having to ask for rooms to be cleaned, restaurant food being raw and just not at a 4 star level and hotel not being cleaned properly with poolside not being cleaned properly, dirty drink cups being left out on tables from day before. Finally, the facilities are outdated, not looked after properly and closed. The lobby bar was closed, couldn't get a coffee anywhere and games room was outdated and not used.
A bit of praise for the spanish man in maintenance who just couldn't do enough for us.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️ Excellent Value for a 3-Star Resort
Travelled:August 2025 | Family with 15-month-old toddler | First family holiday

⁉️ Initial Concerns vs Reality
Like many other British visitors, we was worried after reading some negative reviews before our trip being a French targeted hotel.
However, I can honestly say this hotel is actually decent and either the management has genuinely learnt from previous feedback, or some reviewers have been overly nitpicking without giving the place a fair chance.
---
✅️👨👩👧👦 Perfect for Families with Young Children
Outstanding facilities for toddlers:
- Multiple pools perfectly suited for little ones
- Kids' pool is perfect with a water spray section - brilliant for young children
- Excellent children's playground and park areas
- Mini club available for kids if you want some downtime (we didn't use it as our 15-month-old was too young, but it's there)
- Very well set up for families with young children
- Safe, enclosed environment where you can relax whilst children play
⚠️🇫🇷 Important note: Regardless of whether the majority of guests are French, a kid is a kid - they all play together and get along perfectly. No language barriers when it comes to children having fun!
For our first family holiday with our 15-month-old, the setup couldn't have been better. Everything is geared towards making family life easier.
---
🍽️ Food & Dining
The food is actually alright with different selections available - certainly better than some reviews suggested. You definitely get a lot for a 3-star establishment. Don't expect 5-star fine dining, but it's perfectly adequate for a family holiday.
Seating: Table seating is perfect - we mainly sat outside for breakfast and lunch. Chairs are plastic but decent quality - not cheap nasty ones you might expect.
Regarding table service complaints: Some people complain about tables not being cleaned and reset quickly enough. If you have the energy to grab a plate and drink, show some respect and have the energy to take your plate back to the trolley. Help the staff to make it easier for them - we always scraped our wastage and put our plates away on the trolley. It's basic courtesy and makes everyone's experience better for the next person.
☕️Top tips: Coffee is available simply by asking the bar staff - they're more than happy to help.
🇮🇹🍕 Walk around and explore the whole restaurant!!! Read some previous reviews of no dessert, one drink station etc...they have a dedicated Italian corner, pizzas, pasta etc..and coffee and soft drinks machines in each corner of the restaurant.
🍨🍰 There is also a lovely cake and dessert section!
---
👥 Staff & Entertainment Team
👔 Staff are genuinely friendly and helpful throughout. The entertainers are brilliant and work incredibly hard to ensure everyone has a good time.
⚠️ Important note: Contrary to some reviews, they all speak English perfectly well. You just need to be open-minded and make the effort to say hello and test the waters - a smile goes a long way in any language!
---
🌍 Cosmopolitan Atmosphere
Don't worry about language barriers or feeling isolated. We've bumped into several English and Scottish families during our stay, plus a Norwegian couple - birds of a feather flock together, as they say!
👩🏻👨🏾🦱👨🏽 The atmosphere is very cosmopolitan with families from many different backgrounds. Everyone is polite and courteous - whether they say "bonjour" in passing or "pardon" if they accidentally bump into you in the pool area.
---
🏊♀️ Facilities & Location
Pools: Multiple options, all well-maintained and perfect for families
Location: Countryside setting provides a peaceful environment
Transport: Free shuttle service to Porto Cristo works well
---
💰 Value for Money
You definitely get excellent value for a 3-star resort. The facilities, entertainment, and overall experience exceed what you'd typically expect at this price point.
---
🏨 Accommodation & Rooms
Room quality: Very clean and well-maintained.
Family-friendly: Provided with a cot immediately (even though baby co-sleeps with us)
Strategic positioning: Placed us facing the back with beautiful views overlooking Porto Cristo - can actually see the sea! Suspect they did this to shield us from any potential noise from the front-facing rooms.
Room amenities: Greeted with a single large bottled water in the mini-fridge (no replacements provided). A/C and Ceiling fan..Nice touch...if door opens it cuts off A/C.
Water dispensers available by reception and bar areas where you can help yourself.
Self-service drinks: Excellent self-service setup during the day - help yourself to extensive range including Coke, Diet Coke, Fanta Orange, Fanta Lemon, Sprite and more, plus slush puppies as many times as you like. Always cooked snacks available by the bar area.
Dining room service: Beer (San Miguel) and wine available on tap during dinner service - but at the bar, the barman pours these along with cocktails etc. There's a clear list at the bar showing what's included in the all-inclusive package. Sort of a self-service vibe throughout, but it all works really well.
---
🎾🏓 Facilities & Entertainment
Activities: Daily activities available with the brilliant entertainment team
Free equipment hire: Swimming toys, tennis rackets, ping-pong bats - just provide your name and room number
Exploring: Lots to discover - always finding new rooms and quiet spaces
Additional facilities: Sauna, gym, ping-pong tables, book swap room, arcade room
Layout: The resort is larger than expected with plenty of quiet corners to escape to when needed.
---
💳 Practical Information
Payments: Bar accepts card or cash (payment required after 11pm)
Night club: Decent venue, but cash only after 11pm (open till 1:30am)
Minor downside: No ATM machine on-site (would be helpful addition)
---
🎯 Final Verdict
Would we return? Absolutely!
Would we recommend? Yes, particularly for families with young children.
Key advice: Come with an open mind, be friendly and observant, and don't let negative reviews put you off what is actually a perfectly decent family holiday destination.
Sometimes you need to experience a place for yourself rather than rely on overly critical reviews. We're genuinely glad we didn't cancel based on the negative feedback we initially read.
Rating: 4.99/5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Due to no ATM) but that is our stupidity for not carrying cash on us, as my partner said we should do).
Great job Del Hams Team. 👏
- Jenlew78 (8/5): You need to be French speaking to get the full experience. - We had read the reviews on here and were fully prepared for the French hotel.
If you want to join in on the activities and entertainment, be prepared for it to be very French-speaking oriented. We eventually let it go over our heads, allowing us to enjoy the holiday but you could definitely feel excluded.
An amusing example was when my husband went rifle shooting; he was one of two English speakers, and the other 15 were French. The instructor gave a long, clearly detailed safety talk in french and when it came to english it was extremely short, so it didn't include everything. The Karaoke night had Ed Shereen in French which was bonkers. When they did the sangria making show, the guy was great being trilingual! Jeremy?
Aside from all this, we loved the 3 pools, the choice of food everyday ( we were couple with 18 year old male and 15 year old girl) You could be inventive with what you add to your plate but I think any more than a week there would have been very samey.
We know the hotel was a distance from the coast and we hired a car from the airport so we went out 2-3 times during the week. The free shuttle bus is a great service.
Our rooms were clean and simple which was fine. We had a great holiday in all however, just to point out this is our only family experience of all-inclusive.
- ramonapP1348SB (6/5): Good housekeeping, but too focused on French guests - We are a Romanian family living in London for 10 years and we speak English, Italian, Romanian and a bit of Spanish, but we didn’t expect to find a “French hotel” in Palma de Mallorca. Most of the food, entertainment and music are aimed only at French guests.
On the positive side, the housekeeping ladies were excellent (spotless rooms, towels changed daily), and we really appreciated that even though we arrived late at night, we were welcomed with food for our 6-year-old. Gabriel at reception and Mr. Nicu at the bar were also amazing.
Less positive: waiters and most reception staff were unfriendly, hardly cleared tables, the pool area was not supervised/cleaned properly (two lifeguards but disengaged), and you need cash for towel deposits. Overall, not a terrible stay, but the service and atmosphere didn’t fully meet our expectations.

- Marie6000 (6/5): Quiet hotel suitable for a short break. Everyone welcome - English review- We booked a last minute getaway to this hotel for a family of four, two kids 5 & 9 years old for 3 nights. We read it was a French hotel and thought there would be language barrier but there wasn’t. It is a 3* and what we experienced reflects this.
At check in, we tried speaking French to the receptionist who spoke clear English and after a quick 5 min check in, personally showed us to our upgraded apartment. She was very helpful and friendly. The apartments was big and out of the way (cleaned daily) so they are quiet and we had no issues with noise at all. We did get bitten a lot, my daughter got about 15 bites over her body and these didn’t look like mosquito bites. The rest of us got a couple each. We wore insect repellent and bands every night.
Everyone was respectful and the hotel has a very chilled ambience. Within 30 mins of being at hotel we met several English people but everyone spoke a mixture of English, French and Spanish. Food was good (same most nights) snack bar and bar was great, pools all clean but could do with some repair.
We visited Porto Cristo for a day, small beach but loads of places for drinks and souvenirs. €6 5 min taxi into town. Always spare sunbeds, no rush at all. By 11am half of the sunbeds were still free. Get to breakfast, lunch and dinner at opening but we had no issues with queues. There is a dress code for the evenings but only a third of people followed this. Entertainers great and work really hard, our shy kids even joined in.
If you want a quiet swim, relaxing break and the pools to yourself go during lunch 1-2.30pm, you’ll be the only ones there! Other things to do are mini golf, arcades, gym and a little gift shop. Wouldn’t spend longer than a few days here due to being an isolated hotel in a small town. 45 minute drive from airport with private transfer. Breakfast from 8am, lunch from 1pm and dinner from 7.30. Kids entertainment from 8.30pm and evening entertainment from 9.30pm. No kids entertainment on a Saturday night so they did get a bit bored.
Good mini break apart from the suspicious bites.
- diannemG9403WH (2/5): This is not a 3+ star!! - I don’t usually pay attention regarding people’s views as everyone has different experiences. What a mistake that was. This hotel was rated a 3+ star hotel. People who had been in this hotel was saying on trip adviser how it is run by a French company and the staff did not entertain the English, this is so factual.
The staff that worked at the hotel did not speak very good English, but spoke many other languages, asking for help and being told they couldn’t understand me was disappointing, and frustrating.
The entertainment teams were amazing, activity’s around the pool, and around the hotel for children as well as adults and did a great job entertaining the children on an evening and adults, Speaking all languages including English.
Food was not up to scratch, having to check crockery and cutlery as they hadn’t been washed properly was disgraceful, poor I would say, we never ate at the hotel.
1 bar in the whole hotel which was outside, this was not a problem and didn’t have to wait to long for a drink either. Drinking cups where clean though 😆
Beds and towels were fresh daily, but no cleaning especially in the bathroom.
After 2 days at being in the hotel our shower was scolding hot that we couldn’t have a shower, we reported this at reception, with a language barrier and they said it will be sorted, this was going on for 2 days. On the 3rd day back to reception and asked for a room change as problem wasn’t resolved, to my shock the lady I spoke to first that did not understand English as she passed me on to someone else, piped up behind the desk and said it will be sorted today they will get the maintence man to sort it, well she learned English quick in 2days!!!! The water issue was sorted thank god.
I would not rate this hotel a 3+ star, a 2 star is giving it some credit.
Porto Cristo is a lovely place, lovely restaurants to eat at. We just chose the wrong hotel. Well Jet2 miss sold it to us I’d say, nothing was mentioned regarding it being French ran.

- malgosiap519 (10/5): - A Wonderful Stay at Hotel Castell del Hams – Truly Exceptional!
From the moment we arrived at Hotel Castell del Hams, we were met with warm smiles and an incredibly professional attitude from every member of staff. Whether at the front desk, in the restaurant, or during housekeeping, the team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. Their attention to detail, courteous demeanor, and genuine hospitality really stood out and made a lasting impression.
The atmosphere of the hotel is truly special—calm, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. There’s a sense of peace and care in every corner, which immediately puts you at ease. It feels like a retreat, ideal for those looking to unwind and recharge.
Cleanliness was another major highlight and it adds greatly to the overall sense of comfort and safety.
Situated in a quiet, scenic location, the hotel offers the perfect balance between peaceful seclusion and easy access to nearby attractions. Waking up to the sounds of nature and not traffic was such a treat, and the serene surroundings made it easy to relax and enjoy the beauty of Mallorca.
In short, Hotel Castell del Hams exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a clean, quiet getaway with outstanding service and a wonderful atmosphere, this is the place to be. We can't wait to return!
- Roving57036055869 (10/5): Dream hotel - I loved my stay here and I wish I had chosen this hotel during my previous stay in Mallorca. It's very well organised, clean, family friendly and beautiful. The staff is professional, helpful and friendly, the breakfast tasty and the location fenomenal. It's a perfect place to fully relax, forget your worries and enjoy all it has to offer. Fully recommend.
- Jannerjon (4/5): French experience - Well not sure where to start so here goes.
Hotel is in my opinion not a 3star plus hotel, struggle to rate it higher than a 2 star, this is a French owned hotel and most staff only speak French or very little English, entertainment staff all spoke French and not interested when found you are English.
The hotel is in a massive need of some TLC , dirty unkempt exterior and poor maintenance in all areas, except the pool and bar areas, cleaned every day.bins though not emptied daily ,,a wheelie bin outside the courts not emptied for the entire duration of our stay , food and rubbish everywhere.
Food , repetitive same fair each day, doused in salt and garlic , food quality does not live up to the so called rating. Most days couldn’t eat much as so salty or just bland and inedible, coffee only for breakfast! The restaurant staff were lovely attentive and friendly .
Our room or the shed as I called it was ok just really plain and basic, old furniture in poor condition , a safe in wardrobe looked like an antique, When we arrived the room was filthy, hair and dust/ dirt behind bathroom door, mould around the toilet , complained straight away but full cleaning carried next day, to be fair every day after was cleaned thoroughly. room had air con absolutely 100% needed, so nice to come back to and sleep in a cool room.
our room backed onto the courts so most evenings wall used as as goal so constantly hearing banging balls on wall.
Daily shuttle bus to Porto Christo well worth it, beautiful beach , no smoking on beach as well and great for swimming, some nice shops to browse for souvenirs.
Pool areas ok with 3 pools of various sizes and depth, always felt nice and warm. Pool safety or lack of it was the worse have seen, no rules it would seem, kids running around, jumping in, bombing, balls flying everywhere, lifeguards on station but no sign of stopping the running bombing etc just let them get on with it.
Raised issues with rep especially the cleanliness of our shed , to be fair it got sorted when she got involved, so can’t fault her very helpful.
Then there is the issue of the night time flying beasties, ate me alive, got so many bites on me , unreal, dosed up with insect spray and wore long sleeve tops but the little buggers still got me, got so bad couldn’t go out in the evenings.
So tips if your book this place… learn French, get used to bland salty food and wear full chemical warfare suit in the evening to stop being bitten 🤪
Probably make place sound terrible but really not bad, we did have a lovely relaxing 10 days.
- Claudia (6/5): Pleasant -
- 639maddieh (10/5): A lovely hotel :) - I had such a lovely time at Castell Dels Hams!! The rooms were nice and clean, they had a small fridge, a wardrobe, air conditioning and a safe (at an extra cost.) Many reviews said the food was basic and repetitive, however there was a huge range of foods available! There was foods such as pasta, pizza, chips, chicken nuggets, salad and lots more available every night, as well as rotational foods each night such as Mexican one night etc. The entertainment staff went above and beyond by providing games every single day, a children’s disco every day but saturday and all sorts of performances on a night time! The entertainment staff genuinely made the holiday so amazing. There is a free shuttle bus to Porto Cristo provided by the hotel 10am to 6pm everyday but Fridays, however a taxi was only around €8. I can honestly say I have no complaints about this hotel and would definitely recommend!!
- alexlY7193WV (4/5): Ouch baby. Very ouch.. - Just make sure you take plenty deet, anti histamines and wear a full NBC suit and respirator before going to bed at night, or you too could end up with the pretty sight that greets me when I see my legs each day. Getting tested to see if I've got / had dengue (yellow) fever from the bites. Staff are brill, food is repetitive and you're charged €2 pppn for the joy of being eaten alive! Oh, and there's lots of French folks staying here
- rebeccalD552RC (6/5): Lovely - I have just returned from a 5 days stay here and to be honest I think all reviews have a point. Yes the hotel was predominantly French so the staff played to their audience however if they knew you were English they spoke that too and their English is great. The entertainment staff have energy I forgot existed and they really do pull off some good shows. The food was repetitive at the all inclusive bar which was rubbish however the burgers were nice, yes there is only one bar member which was not ideal and they get really crappy with you if you want a plastic beaker for your pop however the paper cups go soft in the heat. The restaurant staff were a mix of rude and lovely you just have to take the rough with the smooth. The food is mediocre so we ate out even though we were all inclusive. Nothing was dirty at all other than bird s*** on all the chairs which actually stains your clothes if you wear light colours. The pools were nice however the staff took a day to clear something yellow from the water which was not good and the pool lifeguards are pretty ignorant too and I don’t think it’s right that a woman was swimming in the pool on her back with t**ts out when kids were in the pool, I sunbathe topless on holiday however the saying is “a time and a place” and the pool is not it yet no one said anything to her. We met lifelong friends and had a wonderful time but this is just too remote for me. Some little tweaks here and there and the place would be faultless. Oh and as for people stating the rooms were dated that must be a work in progress as our room was lovely.
- 491pearlm (10/5): Brilliant hotel - Sad to be leaving to day had a fantastic two weeks at this hotel. could not fault it food, drink, was best ever in a all-inclusive .staff could not do enough for you !intertainment staff put on some fantastic shows on par with intertainment on the cruise ships !we don't speak French but it didn't matter the people are so friendly the rooms are cleaned every day and the fridge stays on when you take key out never had that before great for me as iam diabetic definitely one of the best hotel we have stayed in and we have been allover the world 🌎 😀 mel and Pearl thank for wonderful memories
- Issitbedtimeyet (4/5): Rubbish! - Well where do I start? Rooms very basic, nowhere to put your clothes, ants crawling around. Food terrible, no taste to anything and flies landing on it all! Restaurant area is not swept and dirty tables. Outside pool area is dirty…and as for the sunbeds..ugh! All inclusive drinks watered down and the outside food is awful, not a lot of choice unless you want burgers and chips everyday. Lots of queuing for the drinks as only ever one person serving! Mainly French guests so all entertainment in French. The staff are nice and friendly. I really wish that I had taken more notice of the reviews…so do yourself a favour save up a few more quid and book a nicer hotel, there’s plenty out there.
- davidaA8810JP (6/5): ok holiday few niggles - stayed for five days ,
good, nice and clean , good drinks selection jack daniels was only 2.44 euros. pools good.
bad, wifi did not work in room , food was not the best more a 3 star , only 1 bar open (outside) for all guests so a lot of queueing , had to get a taxi or shuttle to town for any other restaurants or bars , none in walking distance.
- Olivia (6/5): Average stay, family of 4 with 2 children under 8. - Lots of things to do for children, outdoor pool bar staff really lovely and friendly, help yourself mostly to all inclusive drinks which was handy. Free shuttle into Porto Cristo which had a beautiful beach. Quite unclean particularly the outside areas, bird poo and sap over all seats and never cleaned. Restaurant floors were awfully dirty with mucky plates and cups too. Rooms and main hotel were clean. Predominantly french hotel, guests & staff, lots of rude ill mannered people.
- Dream25245031262 (6/5): Don't go for the food - We visited this hotel on 1st October for a short 5 day break. Location is a bit off grid with no bars or shops within walking distance so if you wish to go out for a meal (you will) you will need to get a cab. The hotel do provide a very reliable free bus service to Porto Cristo throughout the day but unfortunately not the evening.
The facilities are good and spotlessly clean and there is a fantastic entertainment team
Not so good is the food and dining experience . Food seems to be on a very tight budget, although there is plenty of it and a wide choice it is of poor quality and the restaurant is always mobbed with guests rushing around bumping into you with plates of food.
The snack bar is also poor and despite how much beer I drunk I couldn't get tipsy
- paulcI3585VY (6/5): Oh la la - First off this is a french hotel the rooms were very basic and small and had not been decorated since the 80's. The food was poor and you would struggle if you were a vegetarian or vegan unless you like salad and chips. What makes up for the poor rooms and food is the amazing outdoor space 3 lovely pools and a nice patio area where evening entertainment is held. The shuttle bus takes you into Porto christo and you book that the night before by scanning a qr code by reception. The animation team were friendly and worked hard to accommodate the English guests 95% of guests were French. The caves de hamms and dinosaur land are only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. This hotel should not work but does very relaxing hotel.
- SUSIDOM (2/5): Holiday letdown - This was booked through Love Holidays who made no mention of the fact that it was a French hotel. All staff spoke only French or Spanish. The restaurant was buffet service and the food served was always cold. If you didn’t get to the restaurant early then lots of dishes would run out not to be replenished. The red wine on offer was ice cold and the orange from the drinks machine warm. Entertainment was entirely in French and the animation team of course were French. As a family group we were not put in the main hotel but in bungalows out the back quite a walk from any facilities. Of the three swimming pools only one gets the sun the others are covered by trees. Under these trees is where the evening entertainment takes place which is a lovely place for getting eaten by mossies. Would we return or recommend? Definitely not for English holiday makers.
- 178clarel (10/5): Great All Inclusive Hotel in Porto Cristo - We stayed in the ground floor rooms adjoining the hotel and we felt these were very clean; and spacious enough for the 3 of us. The cleaners did a fab job every day of our 7 day holiday. Fresh towels every day.
The hotel food had a large variety of choice for our tastes as we chose to take the all inclusive deal. Drinks were plentiful all day long also. The staff serving the drinks around the pool worked their socks off all day up until close (I think was around 11.30pm ish).
The entertainment staff were fantastic! Every one of them were friendly and welcoming. I know a lot of the reviews state that it is a French run hotel and the staff are French but this didn't really worry us at all. Nous avons parle un peu francais. The activities are great... archery, crazy golf, rifle shooting, petang etc ... all run by the entertainment team. To be honest there are a lot of French people who love holidaying at this hotel. Absolutely fine by me as I like to try out my French.
The 3 pools are great... sea water pools. There is also a paddling pool for the little ones. Plenty of sun beds when we went. Never had a problem getting 3 together.
The location is a bit out of the way and the free shuttle bus is very useful but does not run into the evenings sadly. We visited the Draches caves... a definite must!! We took buses to neighbouring beaches for crystal clear waters as Porto Cristo is a port after all. Hope this helps you make the right decision. Great hotel to stay at if you want to be by the pool most of your holiday with on tap food, drink and all day activities. Would recommend. If you are more of a beach person... then maybe not for you.
- Nataliia (8/5): Beautiful French hotel - Beautiful, clean, very green hotel. Good quality food. Spacious room absolutely like on the pictures. Plenty of activities suggested and an amazing French animators team. Actually, this hotel is for French people and it was a surprise for us - everything was for French and in French and I was happy I know the language at least a little bit as not everyone from the staff could speak English. So, instead of a Spanish vibe we were trying to play petanque and to dance le Madison 😄 Anyway, we had a great program everyday and every night, and some people even didn't go to the beach, just stayed with a swimming pool and sport activities Hotel is faraway from everything, and even with a free shuttle it was a problem sometimes to get to the beach (amazingly beautiful, btw!). Taxi to the airport is too expensive also. Terrible coffee. But in general, it was a good stay
- Nina (6/5): Pleasant - In general our stay was ok, but it's rather 3 star hotel definitely not 4. Territory of this hotel is huge and beautiful. Animation workers are nice. It is clean. Cleaning ladies did a really good job. Food - ok, but almost the same every day, some of hot meals were cold and not tasty, boring breakfast, short time for a lunch and they already take some food away at 14 which is very disappointing. Far away from everything. Reception staff are not friendly, some bar staff as well. Drinks at bar are not good at all.
Also a boy from reception desk said to us that there is no transfer from a hotel to Porto Cristo beach, because a bus is broken. But we asked other guests about it and turned out it was just a lie and actually a bus was working. So I guess it was unpleasant and disrespectful thing from his side to say so.
- sarahmG1515CU (6/5): Castell del hamms, 3* not 4* - Arrived in the early hours to a deserted hotel and a non speaking English reception ( was challenging) offered some food /drink which was left over from dinner and cold and left exposed to flies so declined that! Hotel is fine and a great pool area, very much French speaking bit of a distance from a small beach so mainly stated around the pool, lots of activities to participate in if that's your thing, good entertainment in the evening which was situated outside, my only complaint was literally everyone smoked! So always downwind of someone's cigarette no matter where we sat. Found the food to be a bit disappointing and the same every night ( decent pizza though) the rooms were clean and spacious we were at the back so pretty quiet did notice all the balconies need some kind of repair and the hotel it self could do with and upgrade. But overall an enjoyable break to relax.
- Nuno (8/5): Very good -
- Pauline (9/5): Hotel Castell Del Hams Review - I loved that they had so many activities on offer and they were all inclusive. They had activities for everyone. Younger children, teenagers and adults. They have activities such as football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, pool activities and many more. I enjoyed the aqua gym as it was family friendly. I also loved the evening entertaining and all inclusive drinks until 11pm. The food was amazing. It was a buffet restaurant from breakfast to dinner and all the staff were kind and willing to help. The cleaner who cleaned our room on the first and the last day of check out went the extra mile to ensure that we were well looked after. She made sure that we were able to charge our phones even when we left the room. I didn't like the outside toilet near the swimming pool as it was dirty and not cleaned regularly. I also didn't like that most guests and staff didn't speak English which was a struggle for me and my kids. It's a French hotel so most staff speak French and a few speak Spanish like the cleaners.
- Eigene (7/5): It was good. - Close to the beautiful places, peaceful and safe. Need to clean the room better.
- Emma (8/5): Relaxing hotel - We loved the rooms, it was good and AC to. The bathroom are a bit old but functional.
The animation team is fantastic and they give it all, also miniclub.
They had good facilities but they need to clean them and paint/repair a lot. It feels old. Also the pools needs a refreshmen but they where in good sizes and great except the refreshment .
Everything is in French but French people are very kind and friendly 😊 the stuff speaks also English.
Food was very good and varied with new thema 5 days a week. But to much noises and people in the area at the same time. Entertainment was good but the DJ was bad. Minidisco every night for the kids was good.
Always free sunchairs but lacking of umbrellas. The activities where fun but often to short of time to play volleyball, waterpolo etc etc. But fun though.
There were always something to eat in the bar if you prefer some extra during waiting for dinner at 19.30.
All in all we had a relaxing experience at the hotel and it had everything we needed. Just some few things to be changed to be a real 4star-hotel. The drinks are very low standard, and all the cocktails is alkoholfree until you tell them you want it with alcohol. The pool and poolarea werent clean in 2 weeks until we told them there were full with cockroach in the filter/skimmer. They were really dirty.
The pools need to be done again as they are very dirty inside the mosaik. Don't think they have a pool man.
In 2 weeks they clean our room very bad, dust everywhere. 😔 and never cleans shower etc..
Balcony was old and dangerous. Need a refreshment.
- Natasha (8/5): Above expectations - There was alot of things to do here we were always busy. Something for everyone and food galore Limited English speaking staff on reception
some foods limited for vegetarian/non meat eaters
