Guest Reviews
- Jonathan (2/5): - The property is now under new name and management than advertised on expedia. This meant that despite paying through the expedia website the new management had no record of my payment and i had to pay the daily rate to stay at the hotel in addition to the rate i had already paid. Expedia have so far not issued me a refund despite my request. New management were not particularly helpful in contacting expedia to resolve the issue though hotel staff tried their best.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It’s in a good location, but inexpensive. It’s definitely not 5 star, but quiet and pleasant at the end of Soi 18
- eric (6/5): OK for cheap stay - It was OK but noisy and quiet basic.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - 清潔さに欠けてました
- Roo (8/5): - Nice and spacious rooms, internet speed is not so great but that's not uncommon in Bangkok. I would have like a refrigerator, bit it's no big deal.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I stayed at this place because of the price and ratings, but they didn't equate a happy stay. I had to use the lobby anytime i wanted to use the internet as my room was an absolute dead zone - and i was not the only one. My biggest issue was the mosquitoes in my room - especially the bathroom. I never once opened my window, but my room was just a swarm. This is not a new issue, either, as you could find dead ones smashed all over the walls in there. The bathroom was an absolute nightmare and likely a breeding ground for them.
- anthony (8/5): Good stay - Have stayed many times before, all good
- darren (10/5): BKK short stay - This hotel is great value in the area of Sukhumvit close by to all the action
- partha (6/5): Basic old rooms. - Basic room. Quite dated and ageing. Clean enough but falling apart a bit and the bathroom is a bit grimey. For the price it'll do for a night. Lowest price I found in the area so I can't complain but did find much nicer budget hotels in the area priced fractionally higher. Far from the main road and SkyTrain. A good 15min walk. There's free instant coffee in the lobby and a microwave to use. Helpful and friendly staff.
- Jackson (2/5): So so really for super budget trip - Not really good. Water keeps flowing out of the tap and nobody bothered to repair.
- Thi Minh Xuan (10/5): Value for money - Good location, friendly and helpful staff and value for money.
- Craig (6/5): Bancock stop over - Good location about 5 mins walk from sky train asok, very quiet beds comfortable enough staff friendly and speak good English, bad points very old hotel, clearly not money spent for many years, for the price can do much better in asok area, on morning of checkout hotel was flooded due to you step down into the recaption off the street no offer of help with cases etc walked through up to my knees not particularly enjoyable in suit shoes I appreciate flood not their fault but had several men working in hotel just left lady sat on reception desk
Overall if your not fussy no real concerns everything worked but bb mansion 1 min walk away much nicer hotel, for same money
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good for budget, lovely stay - Location is good enought to walk less than 10mins to bts&mrt. Quite old furnitures but for budget lovely to stay.
- anthony (8/5): only one negative point - we have stayed here many times before and as usual our stay was good, only one negative thing they charged us 50 baht for a dirty bath mat!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Soi Sukhumvit 18 is awesome location - Quiet, nice restaurants and plenty of convenient. Easy to navigate to Sukhumvit road to BTS and MRT for travel to desired locations.
- Fa Hien (6/5): Quiet hotel at end of Soi - Cons:
1) No elevator, so you will have to lug up your luggage. I didn't see any bellboys in evidence either.
2) The bath room suffers from the standard issues with Thai hotel bathrooms - the knobs were loose, didn't manage to get the hot-water to any degree of comfort, no shower curtains and hence the water spills over and makes a mess.
Pros:
Quiet location
Friendly staff
Nice hotel foyer where there is seating and it is quiet.
Overall, it is okay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Returning to the Tropical Goodness - One night stay, but returning to Thailand from South Korea. Studio Sukhumvit 18 is my preferred place of stay in Bangkok cause I know the iCheck Inn management. I very comfortable with the location and quietness that I like very much.
- Rob (10/5): Great place to get started in Bangkok - This was the first place we stayed in Bangkok, and my girlfriend and I loved it. Very clean, comfortable room with a big window at the end of Soi 18 (a small road) off the Sukhumvit (one of the main thoroughfares in Bangkok). Very close to transportation (the Sky Train), and plenty of international bars. It's a nice place to get your feet wet in Bangkok, especially if you don't care for the backpacker scene at Khao San Road (which I don't). I'd definitely recommend this place, and I'd stay there again myself.
- Firdaus (6/5): - Staffs are friendy and great.Room is average but air-conditioning not cool enough even when lower to 21 degree. Toilet smell is quite bad and need to always close the toilet door. Hotel rate is ok and no lift to the most upper level 4 where I stay but is fine with me since I prefer to walk up the stairs. Location is quite difficult to find and is at the end of Sukhumvit Soi 18.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - In the quiet end of Soi 18, a quick 10 minutes to Asok BTS and Sukhumvit MRT, a reasonably-priced, attractive studio with all basic necessities supplied or within easy walking distance.
- Simon (6/5): Nice place and good staff, but maybe look elsewhe - Good location but a bit far of a walk from main road. Hotel staff really helpful and friendly. Bathroom was a bit of a disappointment and could do with some maintenance and repair.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very affordable and quiet hotel in a bustling are - Being at the end of Sukhumvit Soi 18 makes it a quiet place, but it is still close to Asoke (BTS, MRT) and to eating out and nightlife (Soi 20/22). If you plan to work a lot at the hotel, the table might be a little small.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Peace and comfort close to all the action - Studio 18 is right at the end of Soi 18, so a bit of a walk from the main road. This means that the area is quiet and peaceful, with a bit of a village feel. There are good places nearby for coffee and a choice of massage parlours, with some up-market restaurants and high-end hotels nearby while the main road offers a great selection of street food, shopping, night-life and the whole Bangkok experience.
The room is pleasant and comfortable, but does not have a telephone. The desk is tiny and for work I have to use a rather uncomfortable stool since no chair is provided. Wi-fi is included and usually works, although it is not a very fast connection, nor completely reliable.
There is no bar nor catering in the hotel, apart from a machine that gives free (but sweet) tea and coffee whenever you want it, and a 'fridge selling various drinks. Oh: there is no lift so you have to walk up and down the stairs.
- KG (6/5): Indifferent staff. - Indifferent attitude of most of the staff. They tend to cater mainly to whites. Receptionist is constantly on the phone. The room is large and clean but has no view. It is also away from the main street and so there is no incessant drone of loud traffic.
- timothy (6/5): last night in bkk - a last night in bkk before my flight
- klchoo (4/5): Disappoint with iCheck Inn group hotel - The hotel a bit far from main road. Hotel is old, no lift. The room has the smell like a old house. room cleaniness no up to my standard.
- JOEY (8/5): - GOOD! :)
- Verified traveler (6/5): Comfortable stay in Bangkok. - Clean room, good AC and TV. Comfortable bed. Soap and shampoo.
Nothing fancy, but a great place to stay for a quick night or two in Bangkok. Have stayed there before, and will stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good stay. - short stay, and perfect for that. Spartan but clean. No bathroom amenities beyond body wash and shampoo. Comfortable bed and good TV. Free coffer in the lobby, and two bottled waters in the room. Great little Mexican restaurant right across the street. About a 10 minute walk to Sukhumnvit down Soi 18. Good price performer. Will stay there again.
- John (8/5): Value for money - Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it staff are friendly and loved the free coffee any time of day or night, room was cleaned every day.it is located at the end of soi 18 but wasn't a problem for me
may tutus and taxis to take you there if u don't want to walk 5 to 10 min to Asoke Bts. Would I stay again a big yes.
- Muhammad Faris Sufi (8/5): Cosy and comfortable stay! - Definitely enjoyable and cosy!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Green curtain outside the window - It locates at the end of Soi 18, so environment is very quiet. Staffs also try to keep the hotel calm and confortable. For exsample coridole is covered with floor mat to prevent the walking noise.
- Andreas (10/5): good hotel for a resonable price - Great small Hotel which provide good service and accomondation for a very resonable price in a good location in BKK. I will go back....
- Jason (10/5): Location, Value - Very good location to the center of Bangkok. Good price.
- Jigar (8/5): Nice and comfortable stay. - A centrally located clean and functional hotel for people looking for a cheap yet comfortable stay. Its very close to the BTS Nana station and majority of the buzz around Sukhumvit.
There is a nice little mexican place right across the hotel serving good food with nice people and music. I was looking for a late check out and the manager was really helpful and accommodated my request.
Its a well maintained and clean place with free WiFi. Suitable for couples/solo travelers.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - Excellent stay and clean room and accessible to nearby restaurants
- Thuan (8/5): Beauty sleep and would come back - Stay in room 405 & 406. We have beautiful garden high french view. Wonderful sleep here. Room is clean, nice very large new towel, air - con is quite, bathroom is slightly old but clean and well ventilated. I would come back. Very Central budget in Asok.
- Laura (8/5): Enjoy Studio 18 iCheckin - Great localization; nice place; very comfortable bed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cheap, clean, great location - Good little place nothing fancy, served it purpose for putting me close to Asoke on a quite Soi.
- Zane (8/5): A nice and simple hotel along the road - It was a simple stay, there were no lifts but it was a great stay for its price. It has good wifi too.
- mani (2/5): Avoid - terrible
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay at your own risks - No elevator in the hotel - Not ideal for guests staying on third or fourth floor. Non-existent wifi. Shower towels not replenished. Requested for hairdryer and had to walk down 4 floors to get it. Reception/ room service staff misplaced my friend's room key and insisted that he lost it.
- Woan Ting (4/5): Security and Location are Bad - Number 1 concern is security. My room electricity card in my room was taken away by housekeeping and they claimed I lost it. Door locks are still the traditional kind. My friend's room key can open my door! Screws in the safe are unscrewed, looks like being tampered with. Location is approximately 10mins walk from main Sukhumvit road. Air conditioning was noisy. Staff generally alright besides the drama when they insisted I lost my electricity card. Cleanliness wise I felt it's pretty basic. I doubt I will return to this hotel due to security and location.
- Brendan (8/5): Bit out of the way but comfortable - Hotel is quite a long walk from the BTS, around 15 minutes, however street is quiet and hotel is clean/comfortable, internet works well.
- Shane (10/5): Wonderful time at Studio 18! - Great location to the BTS. 15 minute walk. Beware of the massage parlors along this street. Touristy area so when they see westerns they see money (they kept trying to give happy endings). Hotel was very modern comfortable. And staff was extremely kind. Had suggestions of what to do.
