Guest Reviews
- JIE (8/5): - 位置不错,而且价格也很实惠 酒店卫生不是很好,被子上的污渍没有清洗干净,而且好像是空调长期没有清理的缘故,感觉空气里有一股灰尘的味道
- Reena (8/5): Nice and Convenient Service Apartments in Chiang Mai - Nice serviced apartments -- located on Huay Kaew, easy check in process and rooms were nice. The soi it's on, means you have to make uturns often on Huay Kaew, which can be annoying if you're driving.

- Joseph (8/5): Get what you pay for which is all you can ask for really isn’t it? - Cheap, quiet, quirky, and close to everything. Donuts were fantastic. Restaurant staff excellent. Front desk was accommodating. Parking was excellent. Kitties! Not one but two Michelin restaurants right around the corner. I was staying while working as a digital nomad. The monitor in the room was basically useless. Desk chair was uncomfortable. The WiFi was not dependable for Zoom calls. The lighting was terrible (no desk lamps or bedside lamps? Come on!)
- Dennis (7/5): Sauber personal nett fur den preis klasse standart hotel - Gut Bissien weit weg von der stadt ca 10-15 min zu fuß
- Roni (6/5): -
- Robert (7/5): Scooter central with ease of access to all parts of city. - Good location between Niman and city centre. Clean and comfortable. Has underground parking for those that ride scooters. Bed was a little hard to my liking.

Nice cafe in the lobby Price was a bit high,
- Robert (7/5): - Location between Niman and City - underground scooter parking and ease of access to most areas. Bed was a little hard but slept well anyway.
- Nupis (9/5): -
- Hutasingh (9/5): - The price and the location were really good. They also have parking. The room was nice and it was kept clean all the time throughout the stay. There were a few days that the towel smelled bad but the staff informed us this was due to the outsource laundry. A few days later, the situation was fixed. Also the shower head pressure was a little so so but not too bad!

- James (7/5): I like this place. It is friendly and relaxed and good value. - Nice simple place. I like it there. My daughters bed duvet, between the sheets was a little dirty. Only one pillow.
- Chayapruek (7/5): Good - too much noise
- Adam (10/5): - Close to the Maya mall and Nimman One. Very walkable area.
- Franciscus (8/5): Very good -
- Jacopo (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent value for money.
- Shan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexis (6/5): Great location, but the rooms are real old and in need of a little makeover. - Great location. The first bed i received was rockhard, the woman at the counter said i could not change room.
The next day i asked here male coworker and he changed it without a problem.
- Viktor (7/5): Good -
- Fernando (8/5): Very good -
- O (10/5): Exceptional - Great building, perfect apartment, top location and they had friendly cats and donuts downstairs.
- Piotr (8/5): Very good - The staff at the reception were friendly and polite. The room was big and comfortable.
- Mikael (7/5): Not too bad but not really good - Location was good, close to Nimman and old city Soundproofing lousy, small sounds wake you up, the room should be on the courtyard side to avoid additional noise from traffic
- Sean (10/5): Very clean, very friendly staff, very central, nice coffee shop - Felt like a proper hotel stay. The coffee shop downstairs is perfect for morning coffee and interesting people at the coffee shop. Room service each day part of service. The communication on booking.com was lacking.
I had to go to the place and at the lobby they confirmed my booking on check-in day. I had no idea prio to this what the process or times will be for check-in.
- Thawadchai (6/5): Pleasant -
- KEN (10/5): 安くて便利 - 立地は便利なものの、目の前の通りが左折しかできず、旧市街までUターンも不可の為、空港方面に行く時は相当遠回りになる。
Grab
- Dimitrios (7/5): Decent - The location
The restaurant next to lobby The bathroom had no toiletries and no handwash soap
Only one mini shampoo and bodywash for 2 person
- Dani (8/5): Very good - Near to old city and Nimman, quiet location and well located. Hotel very clean, there is a cafe/donut downstairs very handy.
- Debra (10/5): Getting ready to move out so it’s a mess of boxes now. - The staff was fantastic and helpful in all areas.
The rooms are new, clean, roomy and meet all your temporary needs.
Should you choose to stock it with food and a few more utensils you could easily live there. All new interiors and most affordable anywhere near this part of town. Large bedroom with built in desks and and large wardrobe with drawers. Tub even has seat to relax in hot water. Separate a/c in livingroom/kitchen and 2nd one in bedroom. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY. Gym, grocery store across the street, massage In front, several restaurants in 5 min walk. Laundry facility on site, or drop off around the corner “Lek Laundry”. I’ve Been in Thailand for 10 yrs and needed temp stay while room in large condo across the street finished repairs. This was 1st rate No American tv stations streaming. I’d have gladly paid more for that, and had a little trouble with internet /phone.
Chiangmai Lodge or The Commons (new name)
- Shahar (8/5): Very good - Good money value.
Simple rooms, fom comfy enough.
Good location Low voltage white light, not much hot water.
Gym is very poor.
- Kazeem (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debra (10/5): - The staff is outstanding. The rooms are made up and serviced every day. The lobby has a huge donut and sandwich restaurant and the Dome is on a side quiet street. Walking distance to mall and restaurants.
Perfect. Hotel manager and staff has been VERY accommodating and friendly.
- Ramida (8/5): Very good -
- Apirat (8/5): - ไม่แพง บริการดี เดินเที่ยวนิมมานใกล้ๆ
- Robert (8/5): Good value residence with friendly staff. - Good location between Niman and old town. Nothing.
- Mustafa (10/5): - excellent hotel! In a very good location! There are markets, restaurants, barbers, dry cleaning and motorcycle rental shops in the immediate vicinity. Perfect cleaning, everything is very good, the staff is friendly and polite! A cute hotel with a nice decoration as a building.
- Heliodoro (7/5): Good location, fair price - The room is big and has a balcony. There were window nets so you can open the windows without worrying about the mosquitos. The location is perfect. The staff at the reception were nice and happy to help. They asked me to change to another room which I didn’t minded, but in the morning I found 4 big ants in the bathroom and that area was also noisy in the morning. Towels and bed sheets had some stains. They asked 300baht deposit for the room key, which is unusual.
- Vladimir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sylvester (8/5): Very good -
- Etzion (8/5): Very good -
- raymond (10/5): - Second stay here and like it even more. Sparkling clean, enough equipment in the small gym for a good workout. Conveniently located. Highly recommend the stay at affordable rates
- Mayumi (10/5): - Very clean and reasonable price. Doughnut shop downstairs is an added benefit.

- Buck (10/5): Such a pleasant stay I came back twice - and recommended it to a friend! - Inviting lobby and cafe, friendly, efficient staff, nice cat. Quick but thorough cleansing and spacious room. Nothing.
- Corne (8/5): Very good -
- Runjuan (8/5): Good - Location
- Krongchai (8/5): Good to stay - Location near Nimman
- Torres (10/5): Great location, great value - I had a pleasant time staying there The shower head it will point towards the opposite side of shower and water wouldn’t stay in also the flow of the water from shower not great. But it worked out.
- Jason (10/5): Lovely, as always. - Brilliant stay, and not even a year had passed since I first stayed here.
Great place, staff and lobby ambience as always.
The cafe area has changed a little, in the fact that it now includes an independent doughnut cafe, which adds a nice touch… They do certain breakfasts to suit your budget.
After I checked out and moved to another accommodation, I returned to do some work on my laptop in that cafe area - I ultimately became unwell whilst I was there, but the amazing hotel staff helped me to seek help. Thanks guys! I’m fully recovered now…
I’ll stay again! N/A
- Rob (7/5): Solid stay nice and close to Nimman - The staff are great. The rooms are good. Great size. Solid furniture. For the most part I loved the stay. Rooms were cleaned once a week. Could have done with twice per week. It’s no frills. No extras.
- Claude (8/5): I ended up requesting an upgrade to the Relax Room for 200 THB more per day which appeased my frustration with the origi - Staff The acquired room only had a small window, viewing of the building next door dirty wall and AC units.
- Martin (8/5): No wifi and no hair dryer - The room is really clean, yet the shampoo was provided the used one instead of brand new one. And there is no hair dryer available in entire hotel. The worst part is that the wifi is useless, wifi did not work during my entire stay.
- Cat (7/5): Good -
- Alison (7/5): Good -
- Jayme (3/5): Noisy and not worth the hassles. - It was close to where I needed to be. There was a mixup with the Payment for the room. Instead of contacting me early or speaking to me the many dozens of times walking through the lobby. The manager decides to call my room at ten pm for me to come down stairs to talk about it. Which it was handled very quickly. It was obvious she was just being difficult on purpose for no reason. Also, it’s very noisy there. Not, from the outside but from the inside. The staff love to slam the doors extremely loudly and think it’s funny to do so. This place needs better management or at least people who understand the hospitality business and can simply do their job and leave people alone. Even though I payed for a better room they still gave me a crappy room. Don’t be fooled by booking.com when it gives higher prices.
- Jayme (2/5): Meh - It has four walls and a bed. They don’t have anyone working there during the night to the morning. So, if you checkout early in the morning to go to the airport there’s no one there to give back your deposit. So, they keep that. Also, the WiFi connection is very spotty and turns off a lot. Not ideal for people working.
- Orla (8/5): Brilliant stay - Really nice hotel with a small gym and affordable laundry service. Rooms were big and clean with really nice shower and a fridge too. The Donut place attached is really lovely. They gave free water bottles every day. The location is okay, a little far from the city but not too bad and plenty of restaurants etc around. Paid for double room but on arrival they said it was only a twin room available but we booked and paid for a double room about 2 weeks before so that wasn't great. Bad WiFi. Door left unlocked after cleaning service a few times but once we told them it stopped. Beds a little hard.
- Jayme (1/5): Noisy -
- Doan (7/5): Good -
- Ofry (6/5): Pleasant - The one bedroom was spacious, the location was comfortable, and it's nice to have the cafe in the lobby. No sound proofing, can hear noise from the halls and nearby apartments including upstairs.
Cleaning is not thorough, spider webs and dust in the kitchen. The furnishing is not in great condition, sofa and shower curtain should be replaced.
- Monika (6/5): Room was ok - I had to extend another night just because the train was booked up. Otherwise same review as before:
Big room, big fridge, balcony, not soundproof, good aircon, very good housekeeping (left free water bottles at door when Do not disturb sign out), in a second row building off busy main road, gym, laundry room, Donut Café (does do breakfast too), close to airport, 30 min walk to old town/3 kings. BEWARE: they ask for a deposit at check-in. There was no-one at my 7am check-out and as this was only hotel in Thailand requesting a deposit I remembered too late. Was already on the train. Contacted reception. They can only pay into Thai account. Which tourist has this? I was also told that I should have made them aware of my early check-out time for them to have everything ready. Apparently the reception times are posted everywhere… As a reception member had arranged my early taxi pick-up I would have expected the reception team to be aware? I also talked to same reception member the day before leaving and nothing was mentioned then either. So after some email ping-pong I gave my deposit as tip to housekeeping. What else could I do? Not impressed by reception staff. However, there was a young girl who used her Grab app to order me a ride. Thank you again for that!
I would not stay again due to location being too far away from my points of interests. And obviously now the deposit debacle added a sour taste too.

- Gilbert (8/5): - As expected. Have to get taxi for most places
- Helen (8/5): Fair value for a good location - The room was as expected from the pictures, a fair size and comfortable furniture. Cleaning was done well with 2 water bottles and toiletries/toilet paper replenished each day. There was a kettle and fridge and enough clothes hangers in the large wardrobe. The TV worked okay, as did the air con.
There was a small balcony with a sink. On the ground floor, there are coin-operated washing machines and dryers to use. There is a very small gym room with a running machine and another machine plus a few weights.
The location outside the old city is fine as there are neighbourhood restaurants around. To go to the old city your road-crossing skills may be tested! In the opposite direction you can go to Nimman on foot too. My room had a view towards the busy road which was very noisy until late at night. This was unexpected as I had specifically requested a quiet room when I booked in advance.
Soundproofing between the rooms is poor. If there is someone in the next room who likes the sound of their own voice, good luck! Same for the people who don't seem to manage to use the door handle to close doors quietly and need to slam them.
Before arriving I received a message with a request for a 'credit card approval' which was not consistent with the Booking.com confirmation. When I queried it with customer service they highlighted it as suspicious. So look out for this and don't click on any such messages.
- Axel (1/5): Manager threatened us to call the police after a mistake of their staff. Disgusting experience. - It has a nice café in the lobby, and a nice cat around. We had 4 nights booked. We arrived the night before at 5am. Only the security guard was there. We were not expecting to be able to check in yet, but since some hotels let you in if the room is free, we asked just in case.
The security guard checked our name, and proceeded to give us the key. We insisted our booking was technically for tomorrow. He said/gestured it was OK and we went in and we're able to sleep a few extra hours till morning.
Next evening when we got back to the hotel there was no electricity in the room. We went to reception and they said we had to pay an extra night because we checked in one night before. I asked them to call the manager. She also did not want to hear it.
We insisted it wasn't fair to make us pay when they didn't inform us beforehand. If they had told us we had to pay an extra night, we wouldn't have entered (we would have waited in reception, as we were planning to do). She said the guard didn't speak English and didn't know. Why was that OUR fault?
She said if we didn't want to pay, she was calling the police.
We lost it and said we'd leave right then, but after checking hotels for that day it would've been insanely expensive (this was on the full moon festival), so we took her alternative of leaving one night earlier than booked, once our 4 paid nights expired.
We still think she was completely wrong to make us pay, and it was a disgusting attitude to have, plus the police call threat.
Obviously not recommending this place at all.
As extra feedback, Wi-Fi was absolutely terrible and unusable in the room. We just had to disconnect and use data, or go down to the lobby where it worked well.
Location was quite away from the center, so you're force to take Grab or red truck, or 20min walk to the center. Not terrible, but to keep in mind.
- Claudia (9/5): Great value for money - Simple but got everything you need and super clean
- Bowman (7/5): Good - The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was quite convenient to the old town and Nimman area on a quiet street. Internet in the room was very patchy always dropping out and difficult to download emails. The room lacked a safe and it would have been good if tea and coffee were provided. Also no beside lights. The furniture was a bit rickety.
- Rom (10/5): Good location near the mall restaurant shops - I stayed at dome for the 3th time I like the location near maya mall stuff are friendly room very clean bed not to hard
- James (8/5): Very good -
- raymond (10/5): Hidden treasure - Great convenient location, just off the main road making for a quiet stay. Basic very large room with all the necessities needed. Will stay again.
- Khalil (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ola (8/5): Very good - Everything was fine: the staff was nice and helpful, the location is perfect and the hotel is super clean. I stayed for 7 night so I can prove that they clean rooms every day without any reminders. There is a very comfy area downstairs with some chairs, couches, and books where you can relax during a day. You can walk to Nimmam Road and Maya Shopping Mall, and it's just a 10-minute ride to the Old City.
- Andy (9/5): Superb - Good location.. Easy for parking motorbike underneath...nice spacious foyer on all levels...
- Jason (10/5): Astounding - I hope to return! - Astounding!
Perfect location as in its not right in the heart of Nimman area, but instead in a nice ‘back’ area and relatively “still Thai” part of town.
Great staff, free breakfast (simple), clean rooms and good monthly rates! I hope to return for one of their 3 month rental deals at some point…
I highly recommend this place, even though I only stayed a few days - I didn’t even get a chance to use their small gym area.
Very welcoming lobby area!
