• Dora (5/5): - The dinner and breakfast were delicious. The staff were nice and helpful. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch. The hotel itself is very outdated, the furniture was smelly, the room had a weird odour (old wood I guess). The towels had yellow stains. The overall quality of the hotel is of a 3-star hotel (maybe even when it was new), not a 4-star one.

The amenities at the hotel were great and I used the spa (pool, gym, sauna/steam room) every day. Ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely. The sofa in the apartment was really a day bed and wasn't very comfortable and quite difficult to get on as it was really high.

• Sabina (10/5): Great stay! Highly recommend - The staff was very accommodating and front desk reception was available 24/7. The apartment was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the baby cot provided was spacious and comfortable. The anemities (indoor and outdoor pool, Turkish bath, etc) were great. It has a spacious parking lot, and also free parking on the street. They do a beautiful job landscaping the grounds. The apartment bathtub was difficult to get in and out of, especially if you are traveling with anyone who has mobility issues/children. There is no safety handle/railing, and the bathtub is quite tall and slippery to step out of. The apartment kitchen provided the basics, but was small and didn't have some essentials (like paper towels/napkins). The restaurant had a great breakfast spread, but other meals weren't impressive. There aren't many restaurants or coffee shops within a few minutes walking or driving distance.

• R. (7/5): Prima verblijf voor drie personen. - De kamers van de appartementen waren schoon en het meeste personeel was heel vriendelijk. We hadden het geluk dat we zowel uitzicht op de oceaan, de binnentuin als op de heuvels/bergen hadden. De keukeninventaris was prima. Het koken op twee pitjes is even wennen. Tegen de verwachting in hadden we in het appartement gratis (maar onbeveiligde) Wifi. Al met al een prima plek om twee weken te verblijven. Het meubilair heeft z'n beste tijd al wel even gehad. De stoelen van de eethoek waren gammel en de (houten) kasten op de badkamer en slaapkamers waren muf en de schuifdeuren ervan schoven bijna niet. De slaapbank is nergens goed voor, veel te diep om op te kunnen zitten en te oncomfortabel om op te liggen.

Keukenuitrusting in appartement compleet, schoon en bruikbaar Verrast met de Nespresso die telkens aangevuld werd. In Capelas was verder weinig te doen en ontbrak aan andere restaurant keuze dan alleen het hotel + een veredelde snackbar (waar we overigens wel lekker gegeten hebben 1 x) In hotel 2x avond eten in beide gevallen was er buffet. Dit buffet was niet erg divers. Als je niet vsn vis hield was de keuze beperkt.

• Margit (9/5): - Wir waren für ein paar Tage im Apartment House. Für 2 Personen ideal. Wir konnten ganz spontan noch eine Reservierung zum Abendessen machen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Super fand ich das Konzept mit den Handtüchern.
• Debbie (9/5): Heerlijk verblijf. - Mooi appartement, alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Comfortabel en mooi uitzicht. Faciliteiten zijn fijn en mooi. Binnen en buitenzwembad fijn van genoten. Personeel altijd vriendelijk en appartementje netjes schoon aan kant. We hadden een fijn en heerlijk verblijf. Rustig dorpje maar fijne uitvalsbasis om het eiland te verkennen. Airco staat buiten maakt buiten zitten op balkon minder comfortabel.

Nos quedamos en un apartamento que estaba bien equipado pero los colchones y las almohadas dejaban mucho que desear. Sería recomendable renovar los colchones y las almohadas ya que ir de vacaciones y no descansar es un punto bastante negativo

Místa v apartmánu bylo tak těsne akorát (měli jsme apartmán s jednou ložnicí). Kuchyň dobře vybavená. Personál na recepci milý. Ocenili jsme možnost volby frekvence úklidu, což šetří přírodu. Snídaně nám přišla příliš drahá. Venkovní bazén jsme využili jen jednou, byl mělký, spíš pro děti. Další vybavení hotelu jsme nevyužili.
• sandra (7/5): Séjour agréable dans cet hôtel bien situé pour découvrir l'île - L'emplacement à Capelas est très bien pour explorer l'ensemble de l'île. Nous étions 3 et avions un appartement avec une chambre et un salon - cuisine de taille très convenable. la cuisine est correctement équipée pour faire une cuisine simple la literie est de très bonne qualité Le personnel est charmant et le ménage soigné l'ensemble extérieur mériterait un rafraichissement général les piscines sont assez petites et peu profondes. Nous déconseillons le restaurant, le rapport qualité / prix est désastreux. Nous avons payé presque 30 €/personne pour un repas buffet avec peu de choix et de qualité médiocre.

• Ivan (7/5): - Spacious pariking spot on the hotel's territory, the hotel is well connected to the main roads. Outdoor and indoor swimming pools are great. The apartment was spacious. The beds weren't comfortable and air conditioning didn' work.

• Uwe (6/5): - The apartments were very clean. However, they were very noisy and to get to the bathroom you had to go through the bedroom. The reception staff and most of the restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, the complex is a bit older and makes a somewhat careless impression. The water in the indoor pool was very warm (around 28-30 degrees) and the outdoor pool is really only suitable for refreshment and less for swimming due to the depth of the water. The equipment in the fitness area was outdated. Several heaters in the infrared cabin were defective. The restaurant was expensive and the breakfast was not cheap for what was on offer. In the evening there was only buffet from 6:30 pm and was also relatively expensive. We cooked ourselves or went out to eat. A rental car or cab is necessary to get to the hotel.

• Stephen (6/5): - The apartments were large and clean but old. We had a leaky ceiling so were moved. The new (upgraded) apartment was fine except for a bad smell from the bathroom (drain smell) which the extractor never cleared. Paid for a four star rating hotel which this never was.
• Alan (8/5): Great option to stay in Capelas with a kitchenette option and two pools. - We stayed in an apartment with a kitchenette, which was a great option. The kitchenette had just about everything we needed to make our own meals. There were two pools, which was also a great feature. It was a little cool in late March/early April for the outdoor pool, so having an indoor pool allowed our daughter to have plenty of swim time. The island of Sao Miguel is pretty small, so it is not too far to drive to most places from the hotel. We found the staff friendly and accommodating. We don’t have any substantive complaints.
• EKATERINA (10/5): - This property is well maintained and the staff are very friendly. Though the area is not very walkable, there are a few restaurants and grocery shops not too far. Overall, we had a great experience here.

• Katjakaterina (10/5): Exceptional - It's a nice hotel with a good location, as you can reach all the sites very quickly. We have decided for this hotel, as in this time of the year (stayed December, over Christmas) the weather is not always good. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool and a sauna. We used them every day. The gym is also well equipped. We stayed in an appartment and did not use the restaurant facilities. The room view was towards the outdoor pool, but right and left, we had nice views towards mountains and the ocean. Generally, it was a wet side, so we couldn't get the swimming suites dry on the balcony. You need to ask for room cleaning a day before. We didn't need the cleaning frequently and were supposed to have some money saved. However, you can use it in the bar and restaurant only and not for the coffee that you have in the appartment, very strange system.
• Teresa (6/5): - Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit & höflich. Das Apartment ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber. Der Fitnessraum ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und manche Geräte dürften erneuert werden (Laufbänder gab es - wie auf dem Foto dargestellt leider nicht). Die angekündigte Sauna ist eine Infrarotkabine, welche dringend repariert oder erneuert werden sollte. Der Innenpool war sauber & sehr großzügig. Das Restaurant ist empfehlenswert- es werden hier sogar vegane Gerichte angeboten & das Personal ist sehr höflich & geht auf Wünsche sehr zuvorkommend ein.

• Francisco Garcia (6/5): - El alojamiento en si está bastante dejado, muchas falta de mantenimiento,loque hace que de 4 estrellas baje bastante, La piscina está muy bien calentita y limpia, la habitación amplia y limpia aunque con bastante sensación de humedad, la primera habitación que nos dieron la tuvimos que dejar por hormigas y nos metieron en una habitación superior. La atención muy buena por parte del personal. El mantenimiento con 4 cosas mejoraría mucho, tipo cambio de bombillas, limpieza de entradas del jardín la sauna y el baño turco no funcionaron ningún día de 6 y las duchas de la piscina está fatal.

• Elizabeth (10/5): Great hotel outside Ponta Delgado - We rented a 1 bedroom apartment which was spacious and had a living room, small kitchen and separate bedroom/bathroom area. Small balcony with chairs. Hotel has nice indoor heated pool, gym, game room and restaurant. Beautiful landscape. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Abundant free parking. We had a car and drove to the lakes then to the waterfalls. All attractions 20-45 mins via car. Close to small markets, walking to Moby Dick local restaurant, 2 streets over from beach. Full disclosure- apartment smelt a little musty but that is to be expected for places so close to beach! Fell in love with the island and will be back for sure - would definitely stay here again!

The location for me is perfect, high so it's bit cooler, close enough to grocery and attractiion we went to. Facility is like you're at home that you can cook. They provide water and tea. Highly recommended this place.

We especially enjoyed our patio and having breakfast there. All the employees are very nice and helpful. The property is rather far from the city, so a car is s must. But the location was perfect for self-driving to all the main attractions, airport, and Ponta Delgada.

• Selena (4/5): - We had multiple bug issues,and it was addressed multiple times. It was to the point they were in the bed and we had to change bed linens during the night when we would get back from going out. There was no housekeeping at that time so we did it ourselves and also had to clean the bugs as well. There was hundreds we sprayed them with spray they gave and had to sweep them into a dust pan. Also the room had a strong stench of mildew. We also had a cockroach in the room. I understand this is a volcanic island but it was not just a “handful” of bugs it was literally hundreds and we have pictures to show. No one should have to deal with this when on vacation. If you do stay here I suggest you do not unpack your bags and make sure to keep them zipped up so you don’t chance bringing anything home with you.

• Sławomir (7/5): Good - spacious appartment, two pools (one is heated), comfortable parking, courteous staff appartments need renovation, the smell of damp in the building, poor breakfasts (no vegetables, poor or no selection of meats and cheeses)
• Lsilveiro (8/5): A Quiet Stay - Overall a decent place with a nice outdoor and indoor pool, as well as spa facilities. The sauna and Turkish bath were an extra bonus. Good bar, although I found the breakfast a little bit overpriced. The rooms are starting to show their age and the soundproofing is not up to modern standards. The grounds are well kept and there is ample parking. Location is relatively good in a quiet part of the island. Nice views overlooking the car park. Staff are kind, professional and courteous. The rooms are really starting to show their age a bit and, while the kitchenette is perfectly acceptable, perhaps a little mood lighting would not go amiss.
• Sandra (9/5): Excellent place for great value! - Apartment had everything that we needed to cook. Nice property and can request cleaning on days that needed vs daily. Great to sit around the pool. Very clean property. Would definitely go back. Saw cockroaches near garbage area in parking lot but being to this island many times in the summer, it is expected with the climate. Did not see any in the apartment complex.
