Guest Reviews
- John (9/5): I tacos good - The Location
- Alan (8/5): Xxxxxxxxxx - Arrival greeting Xxxxxxxxx
- Matthew (3/5): - Not much too really like Not clean rooms need renovations painting and a really good freshen up

- Jaswinder (5/5): Overall, the stay was convenient due to the good location, but cleanliness issues and poor service significantly affecte - The location was very convenient, with two tram stops nearby making it easy to get around. There was also plenty of parking space available, which made our stay hassle-free. The cleanliness could be improved, as the floor was not properly cleaned and we found multiple hair strands. The kettle was also not clean, with black spots inside. Room service was not provided even after we left the “make up our room” sign on the door. Additionally, the checkout experience was inconvenient—there was no staff at reception despite the stated hours, and our calls and messages were not answered. There was also no after-hours contact available.
- Deborah (5/5): just needed a bed to stay, so ok, but I wouldn't use it for holidays. - price The extra blanket smelt, the bathroom shower full of mould and the ceiling, staff didn't pick up , 2 different times for office, I called in office hours, still no reply to call or text.
Guest book hasn't been updated in years.
pool is dirty , not enough dishes or milk .
It advertises food service, but it doesn't do food.
It seems the managers / Owners have just given up on quality service, bare minimum all-round
Air-con is just working for heat.

- Sue (5/5): Good location, amenities that reflect the price - Good location, at an affordable rate. Close to trams for access to shopping centres, movie theatres and getting to the centre of Melbourne. I felt safe. Good cutlery and crockery. Owing to the location the room was quite noisy most of the night. This can't be helped without very expensive double glazing I imagine, given the location near main roads and trams. There were also other guests playing music with their doors open until quite late into the evening on a couple of occasions. As I had an early start this made it difficult to get to sufficient sleep. The room is a bit run down, with several fittings eg towel rails not fitted. Television wasn't working.
- Relaxed62 (3/5): I recommend pay some extra dollars and stay somewhere else. - No room service and no manner of contacting reception from your room which was only available for a limited number of hours. Receptionist or owner barely spoke English at all. Advertised as supplying free internet and television, yet internet not available and television did not work with no picture and no functioning remote control. A small balcony that could not be accessed and was actually quite dangerous with glass in the door having break lines through it. The pool which was one reason why I chose to stay there in order to do physiotherapy was unheated as expected but very dirty with murky water so gave that a miss. No hidden large waste bins which was viewable in carpark and no mention of long-running trams right outside property. Seriously, I have stayed in some cheap places in many locations purely for financial reasons but this one was "whoa nelly", more a backpackers lodge than a motel. What did I like ? The bed and bathroom adequate. why no air freshener in the bathroom ? Talk about cheap !! The only way I would take pictures for this review is if i wanted some money back but I could not care less as this place is back in the rear view mirror never to be graced again.

- skipp (10/5): - Staff were lovely, it had everything we needed.
The rooms were lovely and clean. Located right next to a tram stop. Its great for the price. Bed was a bit hard
Pool was dirty
- Elaine (4/5): - The shower head broke, no attempt was made to fix it . The pool was dirty ,base was black, we were told it was fine to swim in. Cars in parking area that were being slept in or broken down . The cars looked like they had been there for a very long time and were taking up parking space.
- Viswanathan (9/5): -
- Arrietty (4/5): Definitely not bang for your buck... - The architecture of the building. Quite retro Our bathroom that black fuzzy mold growing in multiple places. There were bulbs missing from fixtures. The room hadn't been vaccumed and there was a random hole/cavity behind the toilet seat. Pool also looked quesitonable to swim in..
- Donna (6/5): - A bit noisy from traffic, not enough milk. Was only able to have 1 coffee each
- Floralba (8/5): -
- Sergiy (6/5): -
- Graney (4/5): - The position suited us. I Our room was serviced once in for days. We had to ask for towels and rubbish removal. The shower sprayed almost as much water from the back as the front and there was no where to put your soap or accessories except the floor. Disappointing.
- Matthew (8/5): I enjoyed my stay and would come back again if in the area. - Small, basic but nice. Nicely laid out, clean and presented. Even had 4 sachets of Moccona coffee, which was a pleasant surprise.
- Reid (9/5): - Room was nice, bathroom room was also nice. Even though it was next to main streets, it was very quiet. Unlike other places it would be nice to have material in room about area, transport, events and a menu for restaurant on premises.
- Jenny (8/5): Great location and comfortable for our long stay. - Nice big room for our longer stay and perfect location as we had family nearby. I felt it was a bit tired and dated and would have loved the restaurant and bar to have been open as advertised on the sign as you enter the hotel.
- Hollie (3/5): -
- Kalli (8/5): Well maintained and quiet, with easy access to wherever you need to go. - The room was clean and well laid out, especially for being a corner room with an irregular shape. I appreciated that the tv was positioned so that it was easy to see from the bed and that the shower had an actual door as opposed to a curtain. It was also very easy to find and get to and from the CBD. The staff were very friendly and professional but didn't push conversation, so I was able to check in and out easily. I use a cane so I also appreciated that the stairs had railings on both sides and were split so as to not be super steep - I was able to manage with care. I had some trouble with the shower as the head was a bit loose, but I was easily able to adjust and fix it. There were some indicators of age but honestly those don't matter when it's this clear that care is taken to clean and maintain the rooms. I was told to park at the back and there was one space that required some manuevering to get in and out again, but if you know that and can park accordingly it's not a huge deal.
- Eileen (1/5): Totally terrible - No good at restaurant Comfort

- Simone (7/5): -

- Amit (7/5): -
- Akshay (3/5): Never coming back - just the location is good everything else apart from location was not good. Furniture is like infected with termites. Saw insects on carpet, everything else was pathetic apart from location
- kylie (8/5): - Clean, spacious, comfortable good location No set cutlery, dinnerware. Pool was dirty and broken down wreaks of cars taken up spaces in parking area.
- Rosemary (7/5): Very comfortable and close to public transport. Staff very helpful. - No breakfast available. Location was fantastic as I needed access to the Alfred Hospital. It was a basic room. Great shower and comfy bed which is all I wanted
- Mcelroy (3/5): Dissapointing visit - The location, i grew up in the area and have always seen the hotel. It is close to my families' homes and had free parking. The beds were clean and comfortable. The hotel is very tired and not looked after. The smoke alarm had been removed, and the air conditioner dis not work. The cups stuck to the surface of the shelves and the shower head was not high enough for my 14 yo son to stand under. The chain lock on the door was not secure.
- Chloe (3/5): -
- neophytou (8/5): -
- Barbara (8/5): Good location, inside could be improved, but good value for money. Would stay again - Comfortable bed, large room. Access to public transport right outside the door. Friendly and helpful staff, at reception and room maintenance. Looks great on the outside, but looks tired inside. Could do with a drop of paint and replacing some furniture.
- Shayne (8/5): Comfortable snd convenient that’s located a bit further away from CBD which some people prefer. Would gladly stay there - Convenience and price A bit further away from CBD than I would have liked
- Rob (10/5): Somewhere to stay in deepain - Does the job for cheap accommodation and the lady behind the counter is very lovely Could be a little cheaper
- Scott (7/5): Clean ,affordable and close to transport - Price and proximity to what I wanted to do It was ok for the price
- Kotzur (9/5): It’s a nice place to stay - It had a pool and good location and friendly staff It’s very noisy being close to two main roads
- Morris (8/5): Happy with the room but outside noise very loud - Very nice room. Clean and tidy Traffic was noisy. Made it very difficult to get to sleep
- Steve (7/5): Will definitely be back, Melbourne is a difficult city to navigate. This location was easy to find. - The location and price was great. Not the most modern motel but comfortable enough for the price. Will definitely stay again!!! Pool and parking was a bonus. Please don't change a thing, great budget accommodation.
- Shelley (6/5): -
- David (9/5): Great location in kew - The luxury looking rooms. The great location in the heart of Kew. The cleaning staff didn't always replace the coffee in the rooms.
- Hilton (8/5): -
- vH (8/5): -
- lesley (5/5): Absolutely terrible - There is mould all on the bathroom roof and just been painted over but it is disgustingly full of mould same as the living room full of mould. The beds look like they are older than me. Wires exposed on plugs. No tv remote ask for one and they said turn it on from back of tv. All night trams could not sleep
- Steven (10/5): -
- Loannight (9/5): -
- Bette (1/5): Not recommended. - Close to venue. Run down, curtains stiff with accumulated dirt, appliances old and dirty. Cobwebs on ceiling. Chipped vanity basin, couldn't bring myself to get into shower. The bed, though, was clean and comfortable . The staff friendly. It needs a serious upgrade.
- Eugene (3/5): Not what we expected - disappointed to say the least. - Booking. Concerns and why we would not consider staying again:
Linen was dirty,
shower dirty,
no tissues,
hair drier did not work.
- Paul (10/5): - convient nice and cla=ean base room
- Rod (6/5): - Location was good but very noisy The Road noise at night
- Daniel (9/5): - All
- Leanne (10/5): - Clean room staff friendly
- Peter (7/5): -
- Rob (8/5): - Very affordable and good quality not too far from Melbourne CBD.
- Riya (1/5): Unhygienic. Very noisy because of tram on road. Shower not working/leaking. - The worst!!!!!
Only tram is nearby. Really bad, unhygienic, dirty.
Door was broken, water was yellow, pool was black.
Paid $130 for a night, not recommended.
Good thing is it is close to Tram station, that’s it.
- John (10/5): Made to feel at home very friendly staff - Easy access good location, very quite property No issues at all
- Alison (7/5): Good -
- Himi (6/5): Stayed here before, it was good. This round, not so much. - Bed arrangements that are suited for a family, 1 large bed and 2 single beds. Availabilities of kitchen, microwave, fridge, etc. Stayed for 3 nights during on our road trip across 4 states. Location was good hence we chose this place as we wanted to head over to Camberwell Market on the day we left. The heater doesn't heat the room at all despite being set at maximum (30C). Being winter, and for the price we paid for 3 nights, it is a let down. Informed the reception and was told the cleaner will have a look at it. Heating was still poor. I can see the reverse cycle unit is still brand new so unsure what the problem is. We have stayed here in the past (non-family room, as it was just the two of us) and the heater works fine. There are also two abandoned cars in the parking lot that are taking up parking space - the lancer coupe was taking up 3 spaces and while the Mazda 3 sedan took 1 space. Clearly something can be done as it is such inconvenience on the nights when parking is full.
- Jacques (10/5): - Very well priced for what it is.
- Wise (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (2/5): - Showing it’s age things in the room
- Wise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Tamara (10/5): Exceptional - Location to basketball carnival
- Jen (7/5): Good -
- Yvonne (4/5): Wouldn’t stay there again - Location We we on the upper storey and when I asked if we could have a ground floor room I was told that I’m in a particular room. The place looked quite empty so it wouldn’t have been difficult to change our room. The air conditioning wasn’t very good. Had it on 30 degrees all night and it didn’t get warm
- Peter (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dee (6/5): - A bit run-down. Everything worked. Good bed. Curtain would not draw across.
- White (8/5): Very good -
- Timand2037 (8/5): Very good - Clean, fair price
- Yedan (7/5): Good -
- Stephen (9/5): Comfort - I thought the staff were very good. The room was very comfortable. All good
- Matt (1/5): Bad -
- Min (6/5): Pleasant -
- Graham (7/5): Good -
- Michelle (7/5): Good - Price, easy parking Lack of crockery etc,no dish cloths, windows were filthy
- Chavi (8/5): Very good - Very spacious and well kept room
- Olivia (6/5): Average - Location was good and from the five minute interaction i had with staff, they seemed nice enough. The property and room was very old and run down, thank goodness we brought our own pillows and blankets, the blanket was broken bits of material. The other guests, presumably residents were quite creepy and made us (two young females) feel quite uncomfortable.
- Heather (9/5): Superb - Good value for money great location with tram stations opposite motel
- Bo (7/5): A very authentic motel experience, no complaints. - Exactly what I expected, cheap accomodation where the TV remote didn't work properly and a very authentic motel experience.
Pool and BBQ outside.
No complaints whatsoever, it was fine.
- Charynda (1/5): Bad -
- Bryan (9/5): Superb -
- Nicholas (6/5): Pleasant -
- Zeb (5/5): Passable -
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Glenn (8/5): Very good - It was very nice room great location only downfall was tv reception Tv reception was not good very disappointing would be good to have in house movies very hard to watch normal tv
- Daryll (8/5): Very good -
- Sophia (4/5): Was okay for money. Bad door lock. Needs replacing - Close to public transport The fact that room 19’s door lock had issues before and not been fixed. Needs a new lock.
- Anna (3/5): Fabulous location! - The location is wonderful. There was a tram stop on both roads which took you to a train station or into the city! There seemed to be a lot of long term residents, maybe patrons with a lot of social issues! One of these patrons occasionally made me feel a little concerned for my safety!
To get into the front door, it was required that you push quite hard and turn the key. This is not an easy feat if you have minimal hand/wrist strength! To open the front door from the inside it was required to push the door and turn the handle.
The bathroom power plugs were that unsafe that you'd only use them, if you wanted to electrocute yourself! The basin plug was useless as it had been chewed by an animal. The handbasin drain was very sluggish.
I stayed 7 nights and saw a house cleaner twice!
The balcony door was divided into four glasses, the bottom glass had a smash in it that had been taped up!
- Bevan (8/5): - Convenient and friendly but basic with some maintenance required.
