• Ekaterina (7/5): - All necessary facilities at a reasonable price, decent room, close to the bus station, air conditioning is working, all cooking equipment, mosquito net on the window, the room got cleaned once in my 6-day stay, helpful staff. Internet is the main issue, the connection would break at least once a day - I had to switch to mobile as I do video calls. It’s negligible when you’re on vacation or don’t consistent internet.

The air conditioner was a bit old. There’s a bar across the street from the hotel, a couple of houses down, that plays music until 2 a.m. It’s not very loud, but it’s worth being aware of.

• Tal (9/5): Very functional place to stay - Simple and comfortable place to stay in effortable costs. Walking distance from ADO and the beach , kitchen to cook some meals , great AC , clean and secured . I think the most important is the staff lady that very nice , helpful and ZERO drama .

• Anonymous (8/5): This is a very simply furnished apartment. Don’t expect luxury. But the host was delightful. - Melissa was welcoming, polite & helpful. She did not get in the way of the guests, but ensured that concerns were handled properly. There was a bench/seat at the window of the apartment that serves as a meeting place for a couple of persons who were a bit to loud when I wanted peace and quiet.

• Keith (7/5): Affordable, basic, perfect location - I liked the location very much, so close to everything, but not a major price. Lot's of local vendors all around, it's the real authenic Mexico. Also, for as busy as it was there wasn't a lot of noise, which is usually a problem anywhere I stay in Playa. The shower had an electrical heating element in it and when I tried to adjust it I was shocked. So don't touch the shower.

Not able to download or stream. Not the end of the world if youre preparred but if you have important work/ meetings online to do then dont rely on the wifi. Otherwise perfect!

• Emmacita (7/5): Ok stay for a few days - The room is big, and near a lot of shops & street food vendors. Fridge in the room. A/C and ceiling fan not properly working. The street is super noisy, bar next door has loud music until 2am, even with earplugs it was hard to sleep. The shower had not power and you can only have hot or cold water. The stairs to get to the room are really steap and the steps are high. We had to arrange the check-in time in advance as ne reception. The host was 30min late. No sign with name on the building.

• Nathalie (8/5): Very good - The staff was very friendly and helpful, and their good English was much appreciated since we don't speak Spanish. The location was convenient, making it easy to reach the city center. The facilities were excellent, including a fridge, cups, cutlery, and a coffee maker. Hot water was also readily available. We were provided with only a sheet, which felt a bit small. Additionally, the air conditioning was somewhat noisy. Regarding the facilities, a hairdryer would always be a welcome addition.

We had a problem with our toilet and the woman working on the property that day fixed it within an hour of us messaging. Use of fridge was helpful. Great location in Playa. Great for a one night stay before flight the next day. Just a heads up - the aircon unit is pretty old and very noisy overnight (although works adequately).

If you are on a long flight and then in a new country you may not have data or phone, so why allow a host to message you on the day ? Eg access details or arrival times . Run by a load of us nerds who never travel themselves, booking.com you are shit.

The property is well located, in walking distance to the bus station, beach, shops, including huge supermarket, banks...I felt safe. The only downside was a lot of noise outside, but it's central, so, understandable.

• Dominika (8/5): Great stay but host could improve communication - The room was comfy and clean. We had everything we needed. Aircon, wifi, hot water, fridge, washing up sink, you name it. Location was very good, too. It was very convenient, close to ADO Bus station, beach, ferry terminal. A lot of local restaurants and street food vendors around, which we loved. I would happily stay there again. Communication could be better. Check in instructions were not sent prior to our arrival and we had to wait an hour to be able to get into our room. I heard the same from a girl, who was staying there. When the host tried to ask us about our arrival time on Booking, we were in the air as we were flying for 10+ hours. We did not have internet so weren't able to check the message. So we had to buy a local sim to contact the host, but even then they didn't pick up the phone. Finally they called us back after 15-20mins and told us how to get the key for the room. Obviously it's our fault as well, we should've told them that we will be on a long flight without internet. But it would've been nice if they sent us the instructions earlier.

The AC was good but the wind in playa del Carmen is so nice we just kept the door and windows open most of the time. Not too far from Walmart and very close to the beach. We really loved our stay here.

Many reason that I will never come back there First the address was not correct when we search it to goggle it went us somewhere else and was hard to find the apartment after we found so hard the host didn't answer phone to open the door and we waited for 30 min in street, the location wasn't good because of restaurant around it and was so noisy and the most terrible thing was the AC it had a really bad and crazy noise and I couldn't sleep even for one hour that night We stayed there for one night but it was hard for me because of the lots of different horrible sounds.

• Diana (10/5): Colorful apartment in the heart of Playa - Wonderful and colorful room with kitchen, utensils, fridge, and all you need. Hot water in the shower! And a terrace with table and chair to have your food, even a rope to hang your wet clothes. It has an old fashioned A/C that I didn't use a lot, but worked. The cleaning lady was a sweetheart, and did a magnificent job! Loved the place so much I will come back! 💖💖💖 Sadly there's a noisy clothes shop and a bar right across the street that play the most horrible music from early on..and when it's Karaoke night, put on your earplugs! It's a noisy area in general. Still, I will visit again!

It was quiet and secure, had good wifi and TV and amenities including hot water at the flip of a switch. Great value! Even has a kitchenette. Nothing! It wasn't fancy, it was a good value for the price.

• Ftrescott22 (10/5): Great Studio Apartment close to: Beach, Grocery Stores, Bars/Restaurants, Bus/Collectivos, & ATM! - This room was perfect for 3 nights with my boyfriend. The space is a little small, but we weren't in our room often to notice it anyways. We really enjoyed having the mini-fridge and coffee pot. The bed/pillows were extremely comfortable as well, which was a huge plus after walking long distances during the day. There was also always hot water when we went to shower (they included towels - SO NICE!). Having cold A/C nightly was a huge plus as well. Location of this studio apartment was pretty decent. Close to the beach, banks, grocery stores, and many local bars/restaurants. Would highly recommend staying here! This listing was exactly as described. I recommend staying here while in Playa Del Carmen. Please note: the street is rather loud (at times), so it may not be an ideal place to stay if you're sensitive to noise. My boyfriend and I just slept with earplugs in, so it didn't bother us one bit! Also, since you pay in cash at the apartment, you will need to mention if you receive any "Genius Discounts" via Booking.com. We ended up paying the normal nightly rate (which was a tad bit more than what I was anticipating), before noticing. But all in all - great place!
