Guest Reviews
- Melanie (8/5): -
- Dean (8/5): Comfortable stay for a nice weekend away - Easy parking, comfy rooms, nice restaurant Noise from traffic, no shops close by, cafe and restaurant on street level closed on weekends
- Harris (5/5): -
- Julie (10/5): -
- Julie (10/5): - Close to city Nil
- Jessica (7/5): Good but some glitches - Really nice decor, architecture, and general atmosphere. Very comfortable bed, and such friendly and helpful staff. QR code for room service wasn't connecting; in-house phone to access room service not answered. Had to go to restaurant to order the room service, which defeats the purpose. Ordered a smoothie for an apparently complimentary breakfast (charged for this), which I saw was poured from a juice bottle ... not actually a smoothie at all.
- Jessica (7/5): - Clean, comfortable bed and well stocked kitchen It is very noisy when the door is open and hot when it is closed. No aircon but there are lots of fans which does help. I would not stay here in summer.
- Summer (1/5): Apartment didn’t look as cosy as the photos - The staff were lovely! Ugly, soulless, no air con
- Ellie (8/5): -
- Kendra (9/5): environmentally cool - Environmentally sustainable practises! Use of repurposed hardware and materials in building construction and decoration. Use of natural air flow through rooms instead of air conditioning. Lovely lobby/bar
- Marta (9/5): I loved it all on all Would be happy to go back. - The VIEW the design the position Great Coffee shops. Bar. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cinema at the door. No aircon. Very hot on a hot day. Extremely noisy with the door open
- tiarnee (10/5): Would stay here every time I came to Canberra - Amazing! Nice and clean great view great service Love it
- Josephine (8/5): We enjoyed it so much and will be back to stay again - It’s such a artist building, the staff were lovely, so friendly and helpful. The apartment was sparse in some utensils
- Margarita (10/5): Comfortable apartament - Everything was great, from the receptionist to the room, which was very comfortable and quiet. We were upgraded, which was nice. Nothing
- Max (10/5): -
- Rebekah (10/5): Just lovely - Modern, contemporary living
- Xavier (7/5): -
- Ngwena (10/5): -
- Tim McDonald (9/5): - Big room, awesome big balcony, nice view over the science spaceship building. X TV only had free to air, not really walking distance to anywhere
- Ainslee (2/5): Everything felt tired. - The filtered water from the bar. There were no bath towels only bath mat and face clothes. Public hair was not cleaned away from the previous person who stayed before us.
The living room carpet and couch were very used/dirty.
Staffing was extremely stretched. Breakfast was included in the room but floor staff seemed very overwhelmed. Our food order sat under the hot lamps in the kitchen for 10minutes before being brought to us.
This was our second time staying. Definitely seemed like it was under new management or ownership because it was nothing like the first time we will not be staying again.
- Dixon (7/5): Enjoyed the hotel, would go for the air conditioned room if we visited again in summer. - Great views of the Lake and evening meal was delicious. We stayed in eco apartments and were warned about lack of air con however I didnt realise that it would be too noisy to leave the doors or windows open and the fans proved were also quite noisy.
- Amrin (10/5): - Stuffs are really friendly.
Love the decorations and the interior!! Very exceptional!
Love the place and dinning as well!
Coffee was really good.
- Jenesa (9/5): Pretty good still! Close to everything - Location , close to the fireworks display A bit overpriced and the wine glasses were dirty and floor
- Rainer (10/5): -
- Sandra (9/5): - The view, location and the design
- Christian (9/5): - Room was lovely,, clean, had an amazing look over the lake with a balcony. Beautiful and the staff was just lovely, friendly and very helpful. Also the breakfast was really tasty. This is nitpicking but the position of the bed in the room was a bit strange since it basically blocked the entrance. The location of the hotel isn't bad (about 20mins walking distance o Canberras CBD) but it's also close to the motorway which makes a bit too much noise for a quiet evening on the balcony.
- Gary (8/5): - Location Room was hot due to north facing & without air conditioning it was uncomfortable to sleep
- Feng (8/5): 还好, - 沒有公交站 前台不明显
- Daniel (1/5): Don’t go there - The view from the balcony. The apartment was a dump. Super unhygienic, poor maintenance to the building, what a joke!
- Rainer (10/5): -
- Caron (8/5): -
- Millie (9/5): - location, view and cleanliness rooms were very hot due to only having fans. Air con would have made the stay at lot more enjoyable.
- Andrew (8/5): Spacious apartment with great architecture - The apartment was spacious and full of light. Although the view of the lake is beautiful, the traffic on the freeway below is very hectic if you step out on the balcony or leave the sliding door open. Therefore air circulation comes with high levels of traffic noise.
I had an issue with toilet brush that fell apart & into the bowl. It was filthy. Small details like that can be very off-putting. It was replaced very promptly, but surely cleaning staff should have noticed it was flimsy and also cleaned it for new arrivals. That's a simple process of flushing water through the brush, that every cleaner should know.
- Angela (10/5): -
- Lee (10/5): Loved Ovolo Nishi, staff were very helpful, architecturely very pleasing to the eye. The meals were delicious - The Ambience It’s a little out of the way
- Michael (7/5): -
- Claudia (10/5): Perfect abode when visiting Canberra - Just perfect Look and feel, view
- Tracey (10/5): Great overnighter in Canberra but great apartment for longer stays - Smooth efficient check in check out. Great apartment with everything we needed. Very comfortable Beautiful view over lake. Very nice breakfast
- Jackie Gault (10/5): - Absolutely stunning views of the lake, clean, cozy bed.
- Brian (4/5): -
- Kim (7/5): Great view , handy location - The apartment has a beautiful view, well located Internally needs a facelift!, lounge furniture very uncomfortable, tv difficult to use apps, only instant coffee which is pretty bad these days , coffee pod machines are not expensive!!
- Nicole (5/5): Seems like they are trying to save money on energy bills. - Good location. This is not a 5 star hotel. Parking $35
The room was very warm, hate to think what it would be like in summer, had to open the balcony sliding door for air, when my husband opened the front door at the same time it caused a wind trap and the kitchen door blew off as I was walking past. Luckily I grabbed it and we left it against the wall.
Lingering smell of curry through the corridors to our room. Seemed unkept in places, also the view down into the centre of the building was a bit unsightly… Bathroom has glass walls so not private when showering.
- Belinda (8/5): -
- Jeannette (9/5): Balcony room with view of the lake, easy access to walking tracks, fully self contained property with friendly and profe - Balcony room with view of the lake, easy access to walking tracks, fully self contained property. Would have like a sliding flyscreen door on balcony (either bedroom or lounge) to allow fresh air rather than rely on electric fans.
- Vicky (9/5): - Service was really good and room very comfortable. Unfortunately was not able to get the 2 bedroom unit but the connecting rooms was ok. It was quite dark and bed soft but still comfortable
- Heidi (6/5): It suited the purpose but there was definitely nothing luxurious about it. The actual hotel foyer etc was pretty cool th - Weird set up, had a cigarette smell to it and not as clean as a usual hotel room. Also view was off the road.
- N (8/5): - Generally, a lovely hotel with friendly staff.
The apartments seem a bit dated since I stayed there 3 years ago. Furnishings not very comfortable but apartment has good amenities. Just need clean glasses.
The breakfast was very nice and beautiful view.
Walking distance to Lake Burley Griffin and convenient to visit Floriade.
- Christopher (8/5): Short visit & convenient to City & Airport. - Modern fit out in a New area.
Good access to Lake Burley Griffith.
Apartment large onto balcony. Dark environment.
Room warm until fans operating & balcony doors opened.
- Dani (7/5): -
- Nidhi (9/5): -
- dana (10/5): -
- Brett (7/5): -
- cavan (2/5): the bed had blood stains and urine in it -
- Dominic (9/5): - Location bar restaurant and no need to travel anywhere for meals or a night out Bed OK but could be a little more comfy
Lounge on the small side
- Ann (8/5): -
- Ann (8/5): -
- Emma (10/5): - Love this hotel and the team
- Ruby (10/5): -
- Cherry CHEN (8/5): 地理位置方便,入住简单,服务人员很友好,早餐美味 - 包含在房费中的早餐不错,性价比高且美味 公寓的隔音有点差,我父亲在隔壁睡觉打呼噜,我睡眠轻,会影响我睡觉
- Natasha (7/5): -
- Jo (10/5): Quality, calm and stylish - Beautifully appointed apartment with everything you could need and more. Quiet, warm - super views over the lake. Staff were professional and also friendly - top place! Parking directly beneath the hotel was good value and easy to access.
- May (8/5): - Location
- Kallen (8/5): - Overall, quite a nice and modern hotel. Friendly staff. Good food. However, we stayed in the apartments and there is NO AIR-CONDITIONING! The room was constantly hot and stuffy even in the middle of winter. We were told to open doors and windows to cool the room, which at this price point is outrageous. Very disappointing.
- Glenn (8/5): Very good - Balcony views over Black Mountain and plenty of room A la carte breakfast and I wasn’t told I should leave extra time. Told the receptionist at checkout and there was no offer for compensation
- Roanna (10/5): We will be back! - Great view! Very helpful staff.
- Fiona (6/5): Fine apart from above - Na Booked balcony room to have fresh air only to find it was sealed behind glassoors that were locked. This could have been made clear in room description
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional - Nice modern accommodation Queen bed, usually a King bed is provided in this style of accommodation. Manual key to lock doors
- David (10/5): Canberra stopover - Great location with excellent facilities. Really enjoyed the ambience and thoughtful architecture and decor. Would definitely stay here again.
- Jillian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): - We got a One bed apartment with Balcony and Lake views on the 11th floor, Perfect ! Check in was so easy and helpful . A walk or Uber to anywhere in the city is cheap and easy and downstairs bar was cost warm ( fire) with a lovely cocktail menu. I highly recommend staying here and we will be back.
- Karin (10/5): - It's always a pleasure to enter the cosy reception area on a cold Canberra day. I was given an apartment with a fold out bed first. Felt like I would be in camping and not in a hotel. Called the reception and verbalised my concern. I got a wonderful upgrade without hesitation. Stay was wonderful. Didn't get the welcome drinks that were advertised but forgot about to ask for it....Had a very pleasant stay
- Josephine (9/5): Superb -
- Skye (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (7/5): Good -
- Riyadh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (9/5): Superb -
- Kirrily (8/5): Comfortable for an overnight stay. - Funky furnishing and great kitchenette. Great that each room has laundry facilities. Awkward room layout with minimal room around the bed. Lovely view overlooking the lake but with a noisy busy road in between which was disappointing.
- Mark (9/5): Excellent stay in a really nice room with lovely staff - Spacious room with excellent view and all facilities including kitchen
Excellent breakfast and great coffee Bed was way too soft!
- Casolin (4/5): Disappointing -
- 韩 (9/5): Not a first sight love but do want extend after 3 nights stay - Cosy beds made all of us slept 20% time than at our home.
Huge Balcony with great view (ours are mountain view), especially when it was sunny with Dine in room coffees from bar downstairs Bathroom facilities a bit average even with blocking/leaking drains on the day we checked in
Parking downstairs a little bit expensive (AUD25/day)
- Gabriella (8/5): Very good -
- Tina (8/5): Very good -
- Janine (8/5): Very good - The view and the apartment design No air conditioning, was very hot. No dining chairs around the dining table, uncomfortable sofa
- Stanislava (10/5): Great place to stay when visiting Canberra - Location, decor
- Lyn (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (8/5): - From the moment you pull up in the car at this hotel you realize it will have some challenges. All the spots are taken in front of the hotel at the 1/2 hour parking area nearest the check in and were for our entire three night stay. Instead you need to park in the garage below the building and try and figure out the maze into the hotel with no signage and poor lighting. (Don't even try to use the Wilson parking App, it doesn't work)
The rooms face the Lake and Capital, which is excellent, but the windows are of poor design so the expressway below is very loud in your room.
The lighting in the room is very dim, once you figure out what the unlabeled switches do, and you will need to use a flashlight for a number of the parts of the room.
The area around the hotel has a limited number of restaurant options and the walk into town is a mile, the Capital is 2.5 mile walk. Public transport is not nearby.
- Andrea (10/5): Awesome, centrally located - Perfect location, central to everything we needed. Very quiet and private. Easy access to all of the attractions Canberra has to offer. Only thing we didn't like was there was no instant coffee in the room, plunger coffee only. Not everyone likes plunger coffee.
- Lyn (7/5): Great service and wonderful location. - I love these apartments. Best in town. Two issues they are designed to be ventilated and if they’re not they are scorching when you arrive.
Second and I meant to mention this. I got an electric shock off the lamp next ti the bed. Its obviously faulty.
- Peter (10/5): - Superb location .
Amazing views
Friendly and helpful staff.
- Nova (10/5): Exceptional - Great view Nothing
- Brault (10/5): Exceptional - How helpful the stuff was
- Darren (7/5): Good - Good location and size room with one bed unit The bed was a little soft and there was no air conditioning on a hot summers night. Had to open the sliding doors to get comfortable and no screens On those.
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clair (3/5): Will never return - Lobby and building, room design all good but see below can't enjoy if overheating and sweating buckets!!!!!
It was like 3rd world backpackers 35 degs heat and NO AC - this is not possible - unbearably hot and unable to sleep
- Danica (7/5): A nice room, very comfy bed and overall great stay - Decor, inside was very glam and staff were very nice. Beautiful hand soaps, shower wash etc and very nice restaurants downstairs in the hotel by the looks of things as there was plenty of people dining. No air con in room was a bit of a let down as it was a really hot night. They did warn us at reception that the room had no air con though. Parking was at a cost as well but easily accessible from the got. No coffee in the room besides a plunger coffee was also a little inconvenient.
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Hayley (6/5): Was a nice stay but for the price and lack of attention to detail I’m not sure I would book again. - Nice view and friendly staff Room not cleaned properly, mini bar snacks not replaced from previous guests
- Davenport (10/5): Exceptional -
