• myrthe (9/5): Prachtig verblijf! - Het is een prachtige locatie. Alles is met zorg gemaakt en elk hoekje vindt je weer iets nieuws. We hebben ons verblijf bijgeboekt en wisselende van huisje. De huisjes zijn heel basis qua voorzieningen maar ook hier is weer veel aandacht besteed aan de aankleding. Echt geweldig. Het was wat donker binnen overdag door weinig ramen. Met mooi weer geen probleem, want er zijn geweldige terassen!

• iWillTravelMore (7/5): The Twin Hotel in the Old Town Must Be the One For Us - The property is quaint and has lots of potential. But the property and facilities look and feel tired, and badly need some updating. Since we came in on a cold season, the swimming pool, not being heated, was too cold to swim into for comfort. The rain water leaked into our toilet and wet all our extra rolls of toilet paper. The finish of the villas as well as the common facilities was too shabby or already needs refurbishment. I understand the design intention but the execution was just not to a very good standard. Being tuck away from the city center, I really think the property will benefit from having cozy cafe within premises.

• Mette (9/5): Unieke accommodatie op geweldige plek! - Heel rustig, sfeervol en met smaak aangelegd. Prachtig uitzicht over de kust en iedere ochtend wakker worden met het geruis van de zee. Het centrum was ca 2.5 km lopen gelegen via een fraaie promenade, met onze kinderen van 8 en 10 prima te doen. Het zwembad was niet zo schoon. Het huisje was wat vochtig.

Acesso praticamente directo a uma praia, simpatia do pessoal e facilidade de check-in. Local com muito potencial necessitando de cuidados urgente. Não gostei da limpeza das zonas comuns, muitos excrementos de pasaros que vivem dentro do espaço común, temos de fazer gincana para não pisar, pouca iluminação no exterior, temos de utilizar a luz do telefone para poder ver onde pisamos. Acessibilidade difícil com ruas irregulares, com falta de manutenção e rampas incompatíveis com malas de rodas muito menos para cadeiras de rodas. muitos utensílios que serían de decoração que na verdade mais parece um depósito de ferro velho pela falta de manutenção de varios deles. Demasiadas coisas nos jardins e zonas comuns, dificultando a passagem. pouca luz na casa de banho. Decoração em geral com demasiadas coisas que dificultam uma estadia com mais conforto. Estacionamento com muitos materiais de construção deixados ali por muito tempo.

• Nathaniel (9/5): Stunning sea views, exceptional property amenitites, and comfy large villas. - This property is in a beautiful location on the cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean in Ericeira. It has cool places to sit on the resort, above the ocean, enjoy a meal or wine, and watch the waves splash against the cliffs. It has a nice, large pool. It has grills available outside to cook. It has covered sitting areas and entertainment areas all around the property. It is a really amazing place to stay. There is even a nice park just to the north of the property with stunning ocean views where a guest can take pictures, exercise, enjoy some ice cream, or just stroll and watch the beautiful sea. The rooms also have a full kitchen, nice bathroom, and a large living room to enjoy dinner. There can be a problem with flies, if a guest doesn't only keep certain windows open in the villas. The peacocks on the property tend to squawk and make noises early in the morning. Also, little pill bugs may appear on the kitchen floor at night, but they are easy to prevent with spray.

• Eloise (9/5): Probably the most beautiful place we've ever stayed. - Gorgeous location in a beautiful enclosure. Hosts were wonderful. Exceptional views of the beach. Great pool. We went mid April just after they opened for the season and had a couple of small teething problems that the hosts quickly helped to resolve.
• Linda (3/5): The photos on Booking were nice, the overall vibe is cool, but when you get there, it’s way too overdone. There is too - I liked the location and the general vibe of the property. The people who work there are very nice and friendly. The furniture, kitchen equipment, and bedding were very worn out, as if they were acquired at flea markets and second-hand stores. The towels were threadbare. There is an aviary on the property where peacocks and large condors (or vultures) are kept. No comment on the vultures/condors, but, while they are beautiful birds, peacocks can very easily become invasive. To the point, this property started with two of them, and has very quickly grown to over 20 birds. This could easily become a problem for the Ericeira community, and should be dealt with quickly.

• Jeremy (6/5): Pleasant enough loved the views just need a more care and maintenance - The views from the communal area were amazing. If you’re surfing the beach is right down the complex. From the centre of Ericeira it was a good 20mn walk. The place was fun and unusual. Their facilities is good with a laundry area and lots of wonderful views all around the place and plenty of sunbeds areas to relax. I’d say our house was fairly small (it was number 8) and quite dark. Given a choice a larger house would have been better. The bathroom was very small and very dated with leaking shower and broken loo seat. The fittings and fixtures generally are very dated and are in need of renovation. Their plumbing system is equally old and the tap water tasted terrible, you need filter water (which is available for free at their cabin).

Great access to the beach which was perfect my surfer sons. Fantastic view of the ocean Loved the resident peacocks too! Reception staff not there all the time but were helpful when they were there. Tall bench which I sat on to look at the ocean had a loose cover so screw tore my trouser. Pool was a little cold, once one started swimming it was refreshing.

• Seb&eni (10/5): A beautiful stay - There's a laid back and relaxed vibe in the air with an emphasis on sustainability and mutual respect. Travellers often share or leave items (books, cooking ingredients, first aid products etc.) for others when they leave. The villas are clean and taken care of, I have been to many guest houses and have never seen such a well stocked kitchen. The location is incredible as well and only a short (15-20min) walk from the town center. Though no fault of the owner, some families might want to think to supervise their children. We've experienced multiple instances where children were chasing and harassing the beautiful peacocks who live on the property.
• Markus (3/5): Simple Hostel more fore young families. - Nice place overlapping the sea. Pool. Views. Sweat little Saune with seaview. No Restaurant, no roomservice, no cleaning. In General the facillities are very simple. Small supersoft Bed, tiny TV (our iPad was bigger) No sea view from our room as it was promised. Room small and allmost no light. You can not even buy water in this place, ok, they have a whatermachine but its locked in over night.

Location is nice and just across from Quiksilver skate and surf park. Surf schools were out on the beach in front every day. Amazing tide changes that showed a large beach at low tide. We had an ocean front villa up on a cliff. Amazing experience. We had an issue with the hot water (tankless water heater) for a day but was resolved by Sara. We stayed at the end of October and was a little damp in the apartment but minor and we would open all the windows to alleviate.

• Andreas (10/5): simply gorgeous - The handover of the keys was uncomplicated at the reception and we were then guided through the complex by a communicative lady and everything was explained (pool, sauna, barbecue, common room, etc.). The apartments are large, clean and bright. From our apartment it was 10m to the pool and another 20m to the cliffs of the atlantic ocean. The whole complex is colourful and creative, absolutely beautiful. The villas are situated on the cliffs of Praia do Matadouro, the view of the waves and the ocean is breathtaking. We watched the sunset in the sea every evening, directly from the pool deck. Large parking inside the complex is available and secure. The other guests were friendly and quiet. Some surfboard-rental options are within 2min walking distance, the town is about 15min. We will come again !!! the car park as the first impression right after the entrance gate could be a little nicer and therefore more "welcoming".

• Sue (10/5): An absolutely AMAZING place - you have to see it to really appreciate it. - What an amazing place, so quirky, everywhere you looked there was something else that caught your eye. Richt on the sea front so amazing views and sunsets. The pillows on the bed were very uncomfortable - take your own if you can. The shower head would not stay on its hook - a more fixed shower head would have been better.
• Laurie (2/5): - BEWARE. This property looks like nothing close to the pictures posted online. It was in a state of disrepair. It was also not dirty and not kept well. We were extremely disappointed in the condition of the hotel. In addition, we were in a room near the square, and parties were had there 4 of the 5 nights we were there from midnight until 4:00 AM, loud music, shouting and chants. We called the police twice because it was impossible to sleep. We also had to call the hotel management. When we tried to talk to someone in person, young eighteen year olds are running the place and pass along information to the owner. They are kind but inexperienced and can not solve the problems for you. The owner when reached said they could not accommodate us by changing rooms, or refunding our nights' stay. We were told they have no control over what happens outside their premises. The toilet broke when we were there as well. We contacted reception, they sent the same 18 year old, who again was polite. She took pictures, and the toilet was fixed 6 hours later. IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
• Izabela (9/5): Peaceful, relaxing, beautiful. - Incredible location, just 15 minutes walk from plenty of restaurants and bars. The view over the sea makes this place very special, and the rooms and beds were comfortable with everything you needed. The design of the whole place is beautiful and unique. Lovely staff too. Small improvements could be made - we had a small leak in our studio. Also, do bring ear plugs as the roaming peacocks tend to rise earlier than you might want to in the morning!

• Ross (10/5): Coolest accommodation, perfect location right on the ocean. - Everything. The property is so amazing. Peacocks walking around. The pool area is beautiful. Everything on the entire property is so cool. It’s elevated above the ocean so you can sit and watch people surf while you drink your coffee. The sun sets right in front of the property over the ocean. Tons of different chairs and loungers to sit on. There’s a nice little food truck maybe 30 steps away from the gate that serves really good burgers. The surf spot right in front of the property has really nice beginner waves and can definitely produce some nice intermediate waves and there’s a more advanced surf spot right there aswell. If I sent anyone to Portugal I would 100% send them to Ericeira. It was by far our favourite place. The town centre is super nice and full of really good restaurants. If I sent anyone to Ericeira I would 100% send them to Ana Margarida. One of the coolest accommodations we’ve ever stayed in. The staff were so nice and helpful here. Rodrigo was the main guy helping us out he was amazing. One of the nicest people we’ve ever met. There’s lots of good surf spots nearby. Book this place!! And enjoy your trip!

• Abbie (10/5): Amazing holiday, ideal location - Amazing location, cute little cottage style accommodation and very friendly staff. It was a little tired in places, so a few broken chairs on the site and only one ball for the crazy golf. But these are just small things, it was lovely.
• Michel (8/5): Charming, casual property overlooking a rocky beach that is difficult to negotiate physically. - It's a whimsical property with lots of spaces to look out over the ocean and watch the surfers. It is close enough to town to walk to restaurants. These made up for the inconveniences, Check in is awful. There is no Reception sign, and Reception is behind a locked gate with no intercom. I had to call a central number to get let in. Much of our 3 night stay, there wasn't anyone at Reception even during the day. There are no smooth paths in this sizeable property for walking or rolling luggage; they are all very rough stone. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who is slightly unsteady. The lighting and number of electrical outlets is limited, as are the kitchen supplies. There is a small washer but no dryer, although drying racks are available.

Shame that the toilet system hasn’t been updated to allow flushing of paper. The shower tray leaked quite a bit too which was a shame. All other facilities were good

Reception staff was rude and unwelcoming. He did not apologize and claimed it was usual since they have to clean many rooms. He almost said I should be happy not get the room later ... Knowing the check ou time is at 10h30 ... !! No wifi in the room but only in some part of the hotel Room 3 is just in front of ocean but also windows adjacent to beach parking, so early morning can have small noise, albeit not as bad as can fear
• geoffrey (8/5): A cliff-top jewel - A real cliff top jewel of a place with much of the artisan about it and obvious that much TLC has been devoted to its development over 25 years. If you don't mind seeing a lot of surfers a real good getaway place and you can keep yourself to yourself if you wish

• Laura (10/5): - Villa Ana Margarida is such a unique and beautiful vacation spot. We had a great time as it is so relaxing there, Hugo is very nice and helpful, and you can see the surf from there. We also loved and appreciated that they are a very green place; you can share groceries you don't use so they don't go to waste, they use solar power energy (about 70% off of the grid now), and they had little reminders here and there to make you more aware of the resources you're using. We would definitely recommend the place as we loved all of its little quirks and found the spot to be so easy and relaxing.

Piscina exemplar. Vistas deslumbrantes. Quietude de todo o espaço. A única coisa que pode incomodar é o sossego. Ótimo para relaxar e encontrar a paz de espirito e "recarregar baterias" para mais uma época laboral . Atendimento, disponibilidade e cortesia do pessoal - do melhor - irrepreensível.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Fint läge, men slitna lägenheter. - Läget är fantastiskt. Dock är detta mer ett vandrarhem än ett hotell. Den lägenhet jag fick hade problem med en vattenläcka i badrummet, som gjorde att man var tvingad att stänga av vattnet till lägenheten. Värme element fanns endast i sovrummet. Inget problem på sommaren, men på vintern blir det svalt i övriga rum. Wifi fungerade oftast inte på rummet.
