Guest Reviews
- Sofia (2/5): - We waited for over 30 minutes to check in (5 PM), staff was not 24/7. After we finally got someone, to check us in, we were told that our room was missing a towel and they would be by to drop it off after they came out of the dryer. We were not given a second towel. We left to run errands and came back in the evening. When we came back, we noticed they did NOT give us a second told and after trying to call front desk for a towel (around 9 PM after being told they were 24/7) we got NO answer and how to share a towel. The tub would not drain properly either, the AC unit would randomly turn off that we needed to manually turn it off and turn it back on for it to kick in. The following day we left to run errands and after coming back, our room key cards were NOT working & we had to show proof we paid for the whole weekend and not just a single night. THEN we were finally given a second towel that we had requested upon arrival, and put the towel to the side without thinking much of it. At the end of the night, AFTER showering and USING the towel, we noticed one of the towels we were given actually had MOLD ON IT. The worst of it, this door had NO LOCK and we were NOT able to move rooms, but we had already paid for the weekend. When we tried checking out (around 9 AM), NO ONE was at the front desk and we tried to call MULTIPLE times. Will not be coming back here ever again.
- Margie (8/5): - The stuff was very friendly, but needs to be cleaned a lot better. The owner needs to put money back into his hotel like new towel and sheets
- Shondell (4/5): - only place available
- Tabitha (2/5): - Had 3 rooms all 3 TVs did not work…in one room A/C did not work moved rooms 3 times one of the time we changed rooms is because they put us in someone else room. Last room bathroom was invested with bugs. Not worth the $135.
- Leanne (8/5): - Clean & comfortable. They do not serve breakfast. Rooms have dated decor & some furniture pueces a bit shop worn. Staff very friendly & accomodating.
- Margaret (10/5): - The motel was very clean and staff extremely helpful. The room could have benefited from more lighting.
- Mario (10/5): - Everthing ok
- Esau (6/5): - T
- kimia (10/5): Nice and clean room - It’s a nice, simple and clean place to sleep. Staff was nice. Would stay here again when in town.
- Mary Carmen (2/5): Bad management - We arrived in the middle of the night only to be told by the owner that none of the rooms were clean, so the deal was off leaving us with the task of finding another room in another town before midnight.
- Jeny (2/5): - We stayed in this hotel for work related reason it’s supposed to be the decent one in town if you don’t wanna drive to next town, and I assumed since it’s in Expedia it should be okay, worst mistake ever we got 3 rooms they were filthy nasty the towels supposed to be white they were yellowish the hair dryer caught on fire on one of the rooms the carpet sticky I mean I do t mi d the hotel to be old but filthy us something different, bed bugs I wasn’t able to sleep I end up sleeping in my truck and it was the same in the 3 rooms never again we would go back to that hotel and I definitely not recommend it to stay there if you happen to be in this town drive to the near by town don’t stay here!
- Jane (8/5): - Great with great location. I have no further comments.
- Christy (6/5): - Property is showing signs of aging but overall it was clean.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Remember that you get what you pay for. I checked in and my 1st room had no power. 2nd room had no a/c. A/C was eventually repaired, but the room never got below 80 degrees. I stayed here out of necessity, and I got what I paid for.
- Chad (10/5): - This is a great hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful wonderful place and great price
- Mitchell (8/5): A+++ - Nice people and very Quite
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Couldn't find our reservation, tried to charge us more than the reserved price.
- Maria (8/5): - Very Calm, clean and comfortable, price was on my budget , definitely I Will go back !
- Yvonne (2/5): - No towels rude body NO SWIMMING POOL
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Thank you good as always, easy to cyeck in and get to my room, room was clean and cool.
- Johndaniel (8/5): Great place to sleep during a trip. - Quaint small town hotel. Simple and quiet. Not bad for the price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was nice and well kept. Our room was the same except for a few spider webs in the ceiling corners. We just needed a room for a night because of a water issue going on at our home. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We got a good nights rest and good showers. The pool was empty like if it was getting fixed but that was not what we were there for. I am definitely going to recommend to my family if they are in town and need a room to stay.
- Philip (10/5): - The property is being remodeled but was kept in good order.
- janet (6/5): - It was convenient and easy to get to off the main road. A slightly older hotel , no iron or ironing board in the room , But otherwise suited the basic purpose. No breakfast included
- Rodolfo (10/5): Great hotel for price - Room was spacious and very nice, and the staff was extremely friendly and courteous.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I read alot of reviews about this place after booking which scared me, but when we got there it was very pleasant. The guy in the front was really nice, and the room looked just like the pictures. I don't know about the pool we we're just looking to sleep peacefully.. and that we did
- Robbie (10/5): - Very affordable, clean, friendly staff. Will definitely use this hotel in the future.
- Pedro (10/5): - Nice and very clean. Staff was very accommodating and hospitable. Manager went out of his way and help us with our laugage. We felt like we were at a five star hotel.
- Roy (10/5): - Great hotel I recommend it to anybody because it's clean and not expensive the cashier or attendance was very helpful
- BJ (8/5): - super nice room, but no breakfast only a ticket to get a taco across the street if you wanting any thing extra you could buy it yourself.
- Suzy (4/5): - Old hotel a lot of things are broken had to switch room because air conditioner was so loud would never ever stay there again and for the money it was not worth it 😔
- Noe (6/5): - Good overall. Stayed there before and they served breakfast and this time they didn’t.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place - I really enjoyed my stay. I just feel bad for the manager, he stated that he was the only one running the hotel. Please be patient with him... he looks really tired :( he was awesome!
- Rich (2/5): Rude - Do not stay at this hotel. The staff is very rude. My itinerary said check out was at noon, but the manager came knocking and knocking until I opened the door, then he said I needed to leave because checkout was at 11:00a.m. When I tried showing him my itenteray, he said that it didn’t mater what it said on there that I had to leave. When I told him I was sorry, he said “you leave now”! I was going to go ahead and pay another day but after I heard him and his tone of voice, and grabbed my things and left. I will never stay at this hotel ever again and I suggest you all do the same. I wish the hotel down the road had been available. That’s where I usually stay when I am in Cristal City anyway.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The owners are very nice. The service is excellent. However, it is an "old" motel and is worn out. I know this but all the motels in town are in the same shape. There are not many choices. I could drive 15 miles up the road but I would rather stay in town.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Restroom real dirty coffee maker not clean swimmin - Swimming pool not in use dirty sheets nasty call manager but he did wanted to come see bad I don’t recommend this place to no one
- juan (6/5): Nice hotel - Can't tell you much rent for a business did not stay there long
- J (2/5): Last minute booking with family - Sheets had old stains, and several holes and tears. Carpets also had old stains. Room was musty and in need of a deep cleaning. Pool was not available. Wi-Fi didn't work at all. Restrooms looked renovated which was good. Small refrigerator didn't cool. If you're a bunch of dudes hunting this place is fine. You get what you pay for.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. Well worth the price.
Only complaint i have is with the clerk. There was a language barrier she did not speak english and we couldn't understand each other i dont speak middleastern. I could tell she was getting irritated So she called her daughter who spoke perfect English and everything was perfect after that.
I will be staying there again
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Facilities are run down. The landscaping is terrible. Repairs needed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cheap and comfy - Clean room. comfortable bed. Had been traveling all night and working and the staff let me check in early. Friendly and left you alone. Some stains in the carpet and small towels are my only complaints.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Mediocre service. - The rooms smelt old and musty. The swimming pool was disgusting, water was green and had what looked like bugs floating in it. The grounds were not bad but it was obvious that no one there takes any pride in their work.
- Arthur (10/5): Very nice stay - It was a great stay. Check in was friendly and room was ready immediately.
- suzieq (8/5): Very nice small town hotel - Enjoyed our stay ! Very comfortable & reasonably priced .
- Verified traveler (2/5): LAST RESORT - Changed rooms twice for bugs on pillows. Manger blames housekeeper for not cleaning rooms properly. Next day I see him cleaning rooms.
- felix (6/5): ok - It was ok except I asked for non smoking with two queen beds and he said the booking said three people, what difference would it make if the room was for 4 people. I had asked for non smoking which I got but the desk clerk saw my daughter smoking outside my car and made it a point to point to the sign that said $ 200.00 penalty for smoking in the room. I told him that my wife and I couldn't handle smoke so not to worry about that. You would think that I was a moron , I would have got smoking if there was going to be any smoking and why would my daughter be smoking outside the car , that should have told him something. I will stay in a different place next time.
- Arthur (6/5): Great place to stay. - Great place to stay for the money.
- Donna (8/5): Lovely, clean rooms - Very clean, very nice. Needed more blankets and the bed was somewhat firm though but loved the huge bathtub. Wished they would've offered a continental breakfast.
- Laura (2/5): Horrible Hotel - Worst hotel ever! Never staying again....huge spiders in room & in toilet. Asked for a receipt & they said there printer was broken. I believe the front desk did not know how to use it. I came in twice to the front because they never answered the phone & no one would be in the front. I would yell & say hello & no one would come out. I had to walk around to see if anyone was around.
- Shane (6/5): - Good busniss room no frills but clean and quite internet worked well.
- Kenneth (8/5): Overnighter - For a small town the place and stay wasn't bad at all....
