• Roy (10/5): - Very friendly greeting on arrival, great location in PDC , away from the 5th Avenue noise but close enough to be there in a few minutes, parking onsite limited but easy around the hotel. Clean comfortable room and bed, would definitely stay here again. Not top resort grade, but perfectly acceptable and superb value for money. Nothing at all

• Andrew (10/5): Great value hotel in Playa Del Carmen - This is a great value, comfortable hotel right in the heart of Playa Del Carmen. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The hotel is in a nice, safe, quiet area a couple of blocks from the main street. There are several good value local eateries nearby, and the whole area is very relaxed compared to the main street. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and really went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who likes a good value, clean hotel, with great staff.

• Ágnes (10/5): Ár-érték ok, személyzet kiváló - Minden közel volt, jó választás volt a városközpontban lakni, 10-15perc kényelmes séta a tengerpart. Az első emeleti szobák víznyomása rendkívül gyenge (wc), a földszintieké kiváló.

Uno dei due letti della camera era molto scomodo, perché evidentemente le molle avevano ceduto e pendeva da un lato. La doccia era piena di calcare e l'acqua usciva schizzando ovunque. Mancava totalmente la carta igienica Gli asciugamani erano puliti ma molto vecchi, e alcuni bucati.

• christof (8/5): - Ruime kamer met leuk terras. Goeie ligging tov winkelstraat en gezellig plein. Er zijn een 7 tal parkingplaatsen van het hotel. Zoniet is er de parking van Wallmarkt op 5’ wandelen. Nooit warm water gehad in de douche, altijd lauw. Zowel ‘s morgens als ‘s avonds, spijtig.

• Sascha (6/5): Für wenig Geld in Ordnung - Die Lage war gut und die Zimmer sauber. Es sah aus, als wäre neu gefliest worden. Service war auch nett. Und wenn man wie wir wirklich nur wenig zahlt ist es auch voll okay da 1 - 2 Nächte zu bleiben. Der TV wirkte sehr neu. Balkon war cool to have. Lautstärke war eigentlich kein Problem. Man musste Glück haben für warmes Wasser. Die Armaturen müssten dringend mal getauscht werden. Betten sind nicht die gemütlichsten. Das Bettlacken war dreckig, aber uns wurde sofort auf Nachfrage das Bett frisch bezogen. Safe war leider kaputt und man konnte nichts einschließen. Pool war klein, aber man konnte ihn benutzen.
• Nicolette (7/5): Goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding - Dit hotel een van de goedkopere opties is in Playa del Carmen, maar ik heb er wel een heel fijn verblijf gehad. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk! Zeer ruime kamer & balkon. Ondanks dat de kamer een klein opknapbeurt kan gebruiken wordt alles zeer goed schoon gehouden. Ook liggen er iedere dag nieuwe handdoeken klaar, zelfs al heb je ze niet allemaal gebruikt. Vochtplekken op plafond en de lampenkap etc. Waterdruk op douche is onvoldoende (slechts een paar stralen).
• Laura (2/5): Not a comfy stay - Close to the 5th avenue but far enough not to hear the loud music. First they gave us a room where the toilet was dirty. They changed us to another one, but the bathroom was not comfortable, the shower was really bad, water went in all directions. The bathroom made some sudden noises that woke us up sometimes in the middle of the night. Beds are not comfy, my mattress went down in one of the sides. The smell of the room was not good, you could smell the humidity. We did not enjoy the stay, it was not a comfy place.

Amenities are quite basic, you get what you pay for. No fridge or chairs in the room. Proximity to a central square often means noise.

• steve (10/5): I will be returning to Playa mid winter and I suspect I will stay here again. - I have stayed at this location on previous trips. Everything was as expected. Clean, hot water and awesome staff. No breakfast but coffee is provided most times. Only a half a block from 'Palicio Municipal' where many festival activities occur. I recommend this location. The only glitch this time was the wifi was connecting intermittently in the room I had but it was not an issue (for me) as I simply used my phone as a hotspot during those times.

• kmcclinchey (10/5): A nice oasis not far from 5th Avenue and the Beach - We really enjoyed this small hotel! The staff were very friendly and helpful, answering questions and arranging taxis and on-site bicycle rentals. The rooms were large and very clean with good, hot showers. The pool was small but greatly appreciated on the hot afternoons! The location is only two blocks away from 5th Avenue and 4 blocks from the beach so an easy walk and a bit quieter, although there are a couple of loud bars nearby so earplugs are advised. The cafe across the street on the corner is an excellent choice for breakfast but the hotel does have complimentary coffee and water.

• Murton68 (8/5): Nice hotel - This was a really nice hotel and was part of a G Adventures tour. The room was nice and spacious, very clean and we had the luxury of having a balcony. The swimming pool was small and I didn’t see anyone use it. The hotel isn’t too far from the centre of town. Was ideal for a two night stop over.

• Roger (6/5): - The hotel itself is perfectly fine. We were well attended to, the only improvement would be more furniture as the room was like an empty space with just two beds. Two straight back chairs on the balcony. A small desk, no closet to speak of and no drawers at all. The location is great as it's near everything. However, it is very noisy throughout the night due to barking dogs! But with a pair of ear plugs, this was a good stay. Good security, with a gate locked at 11pm. Buzzer rarely needed, as the desk people were vigilant of our arrival.
• ALJ2221 (6/5): Well located, basic and clean - Very clean rooms & communal areas. Reception were friendly and helpful. Hotel is well located to Main Street & beach but without being too noisy. There is a small swimming pool and most rooms have balcony’s. I stayed here at the beginning of a group trip, having been in the Hilton for 5 nights prior it felt very very basic in comparison. However If all you need is a clean, safe bed for the night and don’t want to hang out during the day, then it does the job!

• AdamBorowski (6/5): Sun & Sea on a Shoestring - This is a great place to stay if you’re on a budget. The rooms are basic but clean. The swimming pool is lovely and an absolute necessity to cool off after a hot day. The location is ok, with the beach being a short walk away. If this hotel was located on the beachfront I wouldn’t hesitate in giving it four stars.

• FlyerT20 (8/5): Great location - This is perfect location for Playa Del Carmen- close to Walmart, 5th ave, bus port and restaurants. Room was clean, tea/coffee/water provided at reception. Pool is small but beach is just down the road. I would stay here again.
• 998jessp (2/5): Uncomfortable - Greeted at front desk by women who could not have be less interested. Generally waved me to my room - no help there. Bed was like a rock - had to use my own travel pillow. Avoid at all costs if you want a good nights sleep.

They advertise 24hr coffee but this was never on offer during our stay. No breakfast available but a small cafe a couple of minutes along the road provided a very good breakfast at a reasonable price. Would stay there again.

• U8695MXstephenb (8/5): Good facilities and location - The Nautilus is a comfortable relatively modern hotel with large rooms, some with balconies. Bathrooms are good and there is a pool on site. 24 hour tea coffee and water is available in reception. It well located to the tourist strip but far enough to be a little quieter.
• Verified traveler (2/5): - The only thing good, is that the hotel is located in a good spot. Parking sucked, we ended up parking blocks away from the location. We did not have a blanket, we asked and they said they had none. We had only 2 pillows. The room was so basic nothing on the walls. It looks nothing like the photo shown here. It was white walls on a concrete - not kidding - bed with a simple mattress on it. Would not stay here again.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Good for Family of Five - We are a family of five with kids age 9 to 15. We were able to book a room with one queen and two full beds (their description says twin I think). With three kids, it was essential to have a room like this and the size of the room and the number of beds made this stay more comfortable. The hotel is two blocks from the main strip (5th Ave.) which was close enough but far enough to be quiet. Staff were friendly and helpul. The room had a/c and a fan which was nice but the cool air didn't seem to reach a section of the room in the "L" shape and our girls said it was too warm on their side while I was cold under the a/c. Other than a free floating table under the tv, the room is pretty spare. A desk and chair or a table with two chairs is really needed when you have this many people in one room. Aside from one towel rack in the shower, there was no place to hang bath and beach towels and bathing suits - this is a beach town! There is plenty of room for additional furniture. WiFi is available and worked ok but slow. Pool is small as they all are but great for kids to cool off in and it was right outside our room so could keep an eye on the youngest. No breakfast included. Parking is usually available. We're close to the Walmart! No refrigerator (but that seems pretty standard - it would be nice).
• pjfer (8/5): Nice quiet stay - My family and I have stayed here twice now. Check in and check out are quick and easy. Rooms are spacious and very quiet. There was small but very safe parking lot. We left our rental car there no problem.We will definitely stay here again.
• CarGrant (6/5): Decent - Conviently placed hotel. Not too far from the shops, beach, good restaurants. And very close to Wal-Mart which is nice. The rooms were nice. The bummer was no fridge to keep drinks in. The pool was ok, and the hot tub didn't have any water in it. The only thing that got us, was there were these 2 dogs that kept us up from their barking until like 1. And we were early to bed people, so if u aren't I'd think this wouldn't be a problem. The hotel said they couldn't do anything about it because they were from a house right behind the hotel.
