Definitely recommend. - The hotel is in a great location, close to subway 23rd street and other stops on this street, but also walking distance everywhere. Staff was very friendly and helpful, always smiling. Hotel is older and so is the equipment but everything is clean and cleaned on daily basis, even your room if you wish. Our room was facing the yard so the street noise was subtle. Shared shower was always available and even though it was right next to our room, we were not bothered. The greatest was the breakfast that was not even expected since it was not mentioned during booking. Wide choice of food, same every day, which was ok. No breakfast on sundays. There is also coffee tea and water available all day. Nice touch were the earplugs provided. There was shower gel missing in the shower, which was not a problem since we brought my own. Just the container was empty and shampoo and conditioner was full.

• Emyr (8/5): Great location. Small comfy twin room with bathroom. Great price for a fantastic area in manhatten. - The location is excellent for all the usual places to visit. Many are a 20 to 30 minute walk away. The subway is 100 yards from the hotel and the hotel is excellent value for the location. The free breakfast is excellent and I will definitely use again. If you are rich go to the Chelsea Hotel 200 yards from this one for £800 a night. If you are not use this one. 😉 Street noise at night can be loud as we had a room at the front of the hotel, but this is New York. That having been said I slept like a baby using ear plugs every night.

Me negaron el uso del teléfono, de la computadora, hasta me dijeron que si venia un medico a ver a mi señora que se encontraba descompuesta tenia que salir del hotel porque ellos no permitían el ingreso a personas ajenas para asistirla en la habitación... • Rochelle (9/5): If you are looking for a unique and afforable stay in NYC, this might be your place. - The unfussiness and utlitarian nature of the Leo House might not appeal to every traveler. However there is a unique simplicity and charm to the Leo House. It feels European to me -- traditional, not flashy. The communal spaces (the garden, the chapel!) the breakfast, the price, the kind staff and the location cannot be beat. i cant think of anything

• Mary (10/5): Guest house in Chelsea - We stayed in a recently renovated room and it was so clean and comfy ,felt like home away from home .I love the chapel on the 2nd floor and the vending machine in the lobby area was nice to have ,free breakfast served every day except on Sundays,I will definitely try and stay on my next visit to NYC Our room was on the chilly side and didn't know how to regulate the heat.

It was actually fine for me... but my friend is 5'11" tall so the not-extra-long beds left her feet hanging off the end!

• Pia (8/5): Wonderful heritage place with an old world charm…just a shame about the surly and unhelpful staff! - Wonderful heritage building in an amazing location. The story of Leo House is so important in this age of faceless corporate hotels. My single room with private bathroom was small but had everything I needed. The beds and pillows are wonderful! With a few exceptions, the front desk staff are clearly not well trained. I encountered rude and on one occasion actively hostile staff which is just unacceptable. Despite asking, the TV in my room never worked and the shower was also not fixed. This is such a shame as otherwise I would be delighted to stay again.

Incluía desayuno y eso en NYC se valora mucho. El personal del hotel brindó una gran atención, por encima de mis expectativas. La habitación no contaba con sistema de ventilación. En las fechas que fui (abril) no había problema porque se abren las ventanas y listo. Pero no sé cómo será en invierno o verano.

• Mercedes (6/5): Acceptable - Good location. Delicious breakfast. Affordable rooms with private bathroom, towels and free toiletries. The room was pretty run down. There was no fan and the AC wasn’t on even though it was 85º. You get what you pay for.

Frühstück war auch gut, allerdings hat uns ein bisschen Käse gefehlt, aber mit täglich frischem Obst habe ich nicht gerechnet, dass war wirklich super. Das Personal war ebenfalls sehr freundlich. Ich würde dort immer wieder buchen.

• Lianne (6/5): Tsja, Leo House mooie plek. - De locatie was top Het pand nostalgisch Het ontbijt een goede start van de dag De computersystemen zijn zeer verouderd waardoor het personeel werk van het werk had. Hun humeur werd er daardoor niet beter op al probeerden ze echt 1 1/2 uur hun best te doen ons zo goed mogelijk te helpen. Tip voor eigenaar van Leo House, investeer in goede computers en goede soft ware. Betalingen werden hierdoor namelijk dubbel afgeschreven, ondoorzichtig wat nou wel of niet betaald was. Dubbele afboekingen die gecorrigeerd moesten worden. Voor het personeel was dit embarrasing zoals ze het zelf noemden.

• Juan (10/5): Perfect for my first time in NYC! - My stay at Leo House was simply excellent. This was my first trip to New York City and the hotel was perfect. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made me feel right at home. It’s a great choice for both solo travelers and couples. If I come back to NYC, I would choose this place a thousand times more. Highly recommended!

• Rochelle (8/5): Afforable accommodations with character! - Leo House is a great choice for a budget conscious traveler who is looking for accommodations with character. I loved the location of course but breakfast was also a big plus --- it is served in a nice communal room with lots of options. The rooms are plain but more than sufficient and the staff is very nice.

• NESTOR MATIAS (6/5): Que lastima que el desayuno dejo de ser bueno... - Excelente ubicacion. Desayuno pobre. Wiffi bien. Habitacion con lavatorio e inodoro dentro de la habitacion. Ducha afuera por el pasillo. Es caro como todo en New York. Todo estaba en reparacion por lo cual resulto bastante incomodo. Es la tercera vez que voy y lo eligia por ubicacion y excelente desayuno pero actualmente el desayuno decayo muchisimo, solo tiene opciones saladas y desaparecienron las tortas, masas, etc. que la verdad eran espectaculares. Si esto no vuelve no creo que vuelva a alojarme alli porque es caro para lo que ofrecen actualmente.

• Fabian Orlando (10/5): Best option in New York - It's hard to choose just one thing in such a special place. But I can say that the view is spectacular, the breakfast is unbeatable, and the facilities are lovely. There is nothing about this place that I didn't like.
