Guest Reviews
- Russel (6/5): - There's always a charm in historical hotels. The restaurant downstairs is real nice as well, and its proximity to session road is definitely a plus. Also the beds are really cozy. Water pressure fluctuates, the bathrooms although clean, they're not exactly very well polished. The walls are quite thin as well
- Rydel (10/5): -
- Romeo jr (6/5): Not worth paying the price - Convenient location The shower dirty including sink, tap
Very noisy
So small rats on the corridor
I told the staff they just smiled
- Josephine (4/5): Hotel rooms are in need of upgrade - Walking distance to the city center the hotel needs renovation. The blind in the bathroom was broken and dirty, the towels are so old and didn't feel clean. One of the rooms I stayed was carpeted and it was stained and old. The rooms need to be refurbished. It is so substandard. It is a shame since the location is convenient and the hotel has great history behind it.
- Brook (7/5): Good -
- Sheila (5/5): Location is great, comfort in bed is not good, firm beddings, and dirty bathroom. - Location Beddings
- O2804WMmichaelg (8/5): Casa Vallejo - The hotel is nice and conveniently located, just a short walk to the mall, the theme park, and even the market where you can buy your pasalubongs. The room is basic but clean, with a well-lit interior and hot and cold shower. However, it's a bit pricey compared to some of the newer hotels in the area. It can get quite noisy due to passing cars, especially at night, so light sleepers might want to bring earplugs. Still, if you appreciate heritage and convenience, it’s worth considering.
- Julien (6/5): Good overall but this stay was not that great because of a couple factors. - Breakfast options were good. Location was good. Staff are really nice. The noise from the road. There was construction in the middle of the night and the water pressure was terrible. I informed the staff but it was still the same when we came back and no feedback from the staff.
- Maria (6/5): Pleasant -
- John (8/5): Very good - The airconditiong do not work properly 😑
- eestefanee (2/5): Dissapointed. - I’m writing this review to inform future guests of our experience at this Hotel in Baguio. We stayed here in December 2023, choosing this hotel primarily because it offered on-site parking, even though it was a bit pricier than the usual hotels we stay at.
Safety was our priority, and we were willing to pay extra for peace of mind.
Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and welcoming, helping us with our luggage since there is no elevator and the parking area is in the basement. Check-in was smooth, and personal details were taken for reference—except for the plate number.
We chose not to drive during our stay due to the holiday traffic and road closures in the city center. The hotel’s central location allowed us to walk around Baguio conveniently.
Our room, which overlooked the parking area, was quiet enough but lacked soundproofing, allowing us to hear noise from nearby establishments.
On the morning of checkout, between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m., we heard an alarm that sounded similar to our car’s, but we assumed it was another vehicle since ours hadn’t been moved since we arrived.
When it came time to leave, I stayed inside the hotel while my husband went to retrieve the car. Oddly, a staff member approached me, stating that the car was ready out front, even though I hadn’t mentioned any details about our vehicle.
The staff helped load our bags into the car, and we left with a positive impression—until we got home.
To our disappointment, we discovered our car was damaged: a scraped fender, a dent, and scratched wheels. We were certain the damage hadn’t occurred during the drive home. I immediately contacted the hotel, and they redirected me to the guard on duty. He informed me that a Pajero had triggered an alarm in the parking area but couldn’t identify the owner due to a lack of information (as we hadn’t been asked for the plate number).
The guard’s statement didn’t align with the manager’s explanation, and despite the hotel’s promises to look into the matter, we never received a conclusive response. The staff mentioned that CCTV was unavailable due to renovations at the back of the hotel—though we doubted this explanation.
Our visit was supposed to be a relaxing holiday, but the unresolved damage to our vehicle was a major disappointment. It took months to get the repairs done, and we’ve since learned some valuable lessons: always inspect your car before leaving any premises, consider a dashcam, and park in areas with CCTV coverage.
In summary, while the staff’s hospitality was commendable, the lack of accountability and security left us dissatisfied with our stay.
Why share this now? With the holiday season approaching, many tourists and guests will be visiting Baguio and may choose this hotel for their stay or for dining. This review is simply to raise awareness.
- Burditt (1/5): Bad - The location is good for Baguio and SM Mall This is a dirty hotel room. Definitely not 3 star.
Way overpriced and not clean.
There are insects all over the room and the linen was dirty and old.
Rooms are tiny and noisy with dogs barking outside.
Bathroom is old and musty and dirty and the door couldn't be closed when using the toilet or shower.
- Valere (5/5): Passable - This property has a management problem! At first TV was not working, then they exchanged the room. Then the Internet WiFi stopped working… only WiFi in the lobby of the property.
Before 6.30 am they already started sweeping the plinths in the corridor……tik tik tik against the wall.
No, the price/quality was not proportional, the staff did their utmost
- Timmons (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michell (5/5): Passable - location is near bus station and session road
easily located
safe neighborhood
accessible to most tourist spots towels are worn out
they did not upgrade the room even if there were better rooms available at the time which costs cheaper than our booking, they did not consider that we booked for three days and paid in advance
hot and cold shower is hard to operate
- Felicitas (10/5): Amazing . - Location is accessible to anywhere and very near the biggest shopping centre in the city, the church and parks. The restaurant Hill Station has fantastic food and staffs as well. There’s nothing I can think of , always go to Casa Vallejo every time we go up the city of Baguio
- Joan (5/5): Passable -
- Z6563BNjend (4/5): casa needs some love - Great location! But rooms are TIRED. Its one thing to maintain the integrity of an old building and another to let the place fall apart. Despite the bed being made each day the rest of the room was dirty when we arrived and remained so. No tea bags provided and 2 coffee pods provided on day 1 only - ridiculous and feels they are cutting corners at every chance. In addition, no bulbs in lamps and curtains fell down...way over priced for what it is.
As I said location great - and the hill station restaurant on site is also really good (if a tad expensive). But poor old Casa needs some love!
- Ruel (7/5): Very good ambiance. Helpful, friendly, courteous staff. As expected to Filipino hospitality. - The property is well located in the heart of Baguio. 2 mins. walk to Session road and 2 mins walk to SM. The hotel maintained the old structure of wooden old style house. Very good ambiance. There is a kettle but coffe/tea is not provided. The mattress on the room i checked in is not comfy as it feels old, but the pillows are nice, soft and very comfortable.
- Hussein (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darrell (2/5): Not recommend. - Parking space is impossible for cars and street parking charging only 2 spots available for guests. No help from staff. Sent in circles in the rain and finally decided to find a different hotel for the night. Baguio is not for visitors who want to drive as there is no parking for the average person. Looks like tourists need to take taxi everywhere instead of driving. Never again will I visit.
- Edgar (8/5): - Decent reasonable priced hotel near the park and SM.
- Leonard (9/5): Superb - Location The hotel items like toiletries are not in place and not automatically in the room.
- Edna (8/5): - Building is old and lots of stairs
- Michael (9/5): Superb - The hotel's location is its advantage. It's within walking distance from SM Baguio, the Cathedral, and Session Road, so you won't worry about where to park. There are toiletries provided and a ref inside the room. The staff are very accommodating. The hotel's fully booked but still provides extra pillows upon request. Also, their complimentary breakfast at Hill Station (if you avail it) is a happy bonus! Tiny concern, in one of our booked rooms, the fan isn't working, but the AC is functioning. Also, there's no elevator (understandable) from their parking to the hotel, and it's a bit peak. So best if you drop off all your luggage and your senior parents in front of the hotel first and ask for assistance. Overall, still good!
- Valere (8/5): Very good - Noise from the street and from driver’s shelter (?) and this related to the price
- May (7/5): All good! May still choose to book again, not during the holidays, and at much discounted rate! - The management's ability to preserve this oldest accommodation facility in Baguio.
The old Baguio vibe.
Proximity to many Baguio attractions. Priced too expensive for a 3-star hotel and the room capacity;
Needs to improve on cleanliness - bathroom sink and tiles need more scrubing.
Beddings smell newly laundered, but guests would appreciate brighter white colors.
- Xerx (10/5): it was excellent - location was very good. staff was friendly, clean and good facilities. refillable water is also very good.
- ronaldonaman (10/5): Living the Vida Loca - We stayed overnight in this hotel. The staff are very accommodating. We had problems in the ACU and they transferred us ASAP in the other room. When we arrived, they upgraded our accommodation from a standard room to a bigger one. The place is historic. A feeling of living in an old mansion.
- Richard (10/5): - Great Historic Hotel! Love the history of this hotel and the dinning option onsite!
- Salbino (8/5): Very good -
- Victor (7/5): For 6k, not exactly value - Central location Broken electrical outlet, defective landline (no dial tone), hair of the previous guests on the toilet floor, hot water comes out 5 minutes water running the showers
- Jo (10/5): Will always come back here - I always come back to this place and refer my family and friends to book here. Great ambience, nice food, and close proximity to the popular places in Baguio without the hassle of traffic and noise.
- Felix (7/5): Good -
- ginagsb (2/5): Untidy and dirty - Drop down doesn’t have Dec 2019 when we actually stayed in Casa Vallejo. It was a family room in the basement. It was quite small and the bathroom was dirty. We stayed for 3 nights. There was one day when the room wasn’t cleaned/made up. The lobby smelled of fried bangus. It wasn’t pleasant.
- Hannah (8/5): Very good -
- Hannah (9/5): Superb -
- Daffodil (4/5): Disappointing -
- Alan (10/5): Good hotel to stay in Baguio - The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and had a good rest after a day of going around the area and the water heater works fine. The room includes a ref and a coffee maker. The property is just a walking distance to SM, Session Rd, and Burnham Park. The staff are courteous as well. Overall, had a good stay. Going to the parking area was quite a challenge. Seems not lower than 45 degrees. There’s no elevator, thus it would be a challenge for some to climb up the stairs.
- Jomskie0926 (8/5): Panagbenga 2023 - Location was excellent since the Panagbenga parade was passing through the hotel.
Water flowing on the back of the toilet bowl is bad. No exhaust Fan on our toilet.
Slamming door, loud footsteps and chatting on the hallway was terrible. Disturb our rest.
For safety concern, refrain the housekeeping cart unattended on the hallways, as it blocks the hallway just in case of emergency.
Exit map guide behind the door, inside our room, was not updated. Were located at room 201, but the photo shown room 202. Kindly update that for fire and earthquake evacuation concern.
Water glass is not clean properly. As observed some fingerprints and stains on the middle of the glass up to the drinking lid / drinking spots.
Observed dust on the coffee machine, and stagnant water behind the coffee machine (I dont know when it was used or refilled)
Phone has disconnected line. Although we are transferred from room 205 to room 201. Make sure that all the phone line connection was working in good condition to all rooms.
Noticed the shampoo, lotion, conditioner and bath gel has containers and refilled, which was an environmental friendly act.
Staff name Jhong and his family after the Grand Float Parade has no consideration as we took pictures on the veranda, and his daughter and himself always on the background of our photos.
Never leave the Front desk unattended, as I have noticed that no one is in front desk for guests inquiry.
Overall, room, other amenities and customer service are superb. Staff name Rose ann, the other girl and Jhong, an OJT name Jzerny and Marijo are very helpful and attentive on our needs which provides excellent service. Houskeeping team name Nicollo and the other guys and girls have good work in making and maintaining our room clean and provide excellent service. Keep smiling and greeting me whenever I came across with the staff.
I will definitely go back and stay in Casa Vallejo.
- GemayelSalinas (6/5): Old Baguio Charm - Stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel retains the good cabin feels. All rooms now have air-conditioning units. Availed of the 50% off promo and I was worried that will be getting a non-AC room. Recent renovations have been made.
Pros:
1. Accessibility
Right in front of SM Baguio. Easy to go in and out to get supplies. Session Rd is just nearby.
2. Pet-friendly
They charge 500 pesos per pet and per night. Comes with pet bed, potty trainer, and dog bowl. There’s a pet shop and grooming service in the parking area.
3. Hot Shower
Enjoyed the long bath with the reliable supply and water pressure.
4. Hill Station
While not pet friendly (we were asked to leave to dogs in the room), perhaps the best restaurant in Baguio is just downstairs.
Cons:
1. Small and Noisy Road-side Rooms
While the rooms are small, it’s basically designed just a place to sleep in. It has a study table and the fridge and water are tucked away in the cabinets. Carpeted but clean all throughout. Was expecting the bathroom to be tired and dingy but to my surprise, it was squeaky clean. Avoid the rooms facing the street as it is now sound-proof. Small TV and cable signal fades.
2. Limited Parking Space
Since the hotel houses the popular Hill Station, patrons can easily crowd the parking area.
Staying here is kinda 50/50 experience and a compromise I must say. Just matter of knowing what you want to prioritize. In my case, convenience, accessibility, and most importantly, pet-friendly.
While it was not the most restful stay, Casa Vallejo captures the old Baguio charm. Something the newer hotels won’t be able to replicate.
- Philip (4/5): - Hill Station was nice and having breakfast, lunch, dinner there is amazing, very close to taxis and shopping (especially SM), otherwise dated rooms in very rough shape, bathroom was in very poor condition similar to a cheap motel instead of a high end hotel. Staff seemed short handed.
- Maria (8/5): excellent stay - location near the road so it’s a bit noisy
- Henry (4/5): it was not worth the price - location only poor internet connection
- Luna (4/5): Disappointing - The location is ok, very accessible. It's near the mall and the venue of the conference. Taxis are easy to get. The food is at par with its reputation. The place is quiet enough. However, the traffic noise outside may be bothersome for others. I think the staff could be trained better. They are courteous but not as accommodating as other staff expected of hotels. Two occasions have demonstrated this aspect: the lack of central management in personal requests to keep packed breakfast (was promised but disappeared in the evening) and the lack of better response towards reminding the resident that she must check out. I acknowledge my shortcomings but I think the staff could've been more sensitive and responsive to my concerns regarding my forgotten phone and new number which wasn't jotted down, hence I had to book another room, a family suite room, at 10:49 pm just to catch some rest. I had to shell an additional expense for it. In the last room that i was transferred I also noticed that the toilets were not working. Please train your staff before hiring. Please look into the facilities like flush, hot water mechanics and better towels. Am sorry I have to itemize all these. Thanks.
- Vishwas (1/5): won’t come back - location the price was not worth it at all. The room was shabby and the public comfort rooms are better. The safe had to be broken and removed as they didn’t have the key.
- Hannah (8/5): Very good -
- RicoGutz-2600 (2/5): Expensive But Not Worth It - My sister-in-law stayed at Casa Vallejo with her sisters for 3 days. The room they stayed in had a defective toilet that didn't flush properly. They all had to go down to use the john of the hotel resto Hill Station.
When she asked for a refund so they could move to another hotel, the front desk clerk said the hotel didn't give refunds, didn't have the toilet fixed, and neither was another room offered to her.
Long story short, the beautiful soul that my wife's sister is didn't insist. So, on those 3 days, they stayed in the same room and just used the restaurant's toilet facilities downstairs. Shame on you, Casa Vallejo.
When her 7K-per-day stay was done, they hightailed out of the place and moved to a significantly better yet much cheaper hotel along Session Road.
- Jovito (4/5): - The room was not air conditioned, wifi not working and the advertised free breakfast was not honored. They have a good staff but they just followed their policy.
- mamabelz (4/5): Could be better - Pros: historical hotel, clean rooms, location is very prime, restaurant in hotel very good, spa next door, parking available, strong hot shower pressure
Cons: all rooms in this hotel are ceiling fan rooms- since I booked the honeymoon room, I thought it was aircon since photo had ac. It gets really warm. noisy and busy street (pollution) if windows are open to let in cool air
If you want to experience the history, best to just eat at the restaurant. Stay somewherelse.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Same day booking with quick check in. We would usually stay in this hotel when available.
- 969oliverg (8/5): Eco Friendly - Kudos! for using eco friendly toiletries and essentials.
Though there are some noise due to the contruction adjacent to the hotel. Hotel staff are all friendly. Very near to everything. Just need to upgrade the bfast menu.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I like the the area is in the heart of the city walking distance to many restaurants and shopping center, the place is so noisy needs renovation, towels and mattresses are old looks dirty.
- Taekwondo_Family05 (8/5): Silver to Casa Vallejo - This is our place for the All Saints Day Holiday. It is a stylish old hotel beside SM Baguio. We got the family room for 4 people facing the courtyard. Room is small and beds are good enough for average size person. Bathroom is clean and they offer toiletries. It is quite an ordeal to adjust the heating system of the shower but otherwise, it is ok. I hope later on, you could also provide family rooms with aircon. Staff are hospitable and nice. Hill Station, their in-house restaurant is definitely the selling point of the hotel...the ambience and food gives this restaurant it’s star....no wonder it is the number one resto in Baguio City. Taekwondo Family gives the silver to Casa Vallejo
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We liked the rustic feel. However the weather was too hot and the ceiling fan was inadequate. Loved Hill Station for brunch.
- EdgarO337 (8/5): Classy - A stylish old fashioned place conveniently located near SM and major bus terminus. Their Hill Station restaurant has good food and scenic views. Rooms have all double beds - not big enough for me if I'm sharing! Wifi isn't great - best in reception area. If you are a smoker you must walk down to their parking area. Cato's is a spacious bar just down the road from the hotel. There's also a spa close by. But alas the bookshop which used to be below the restaurant has moved.
- Charles (8/5): QUAINT WITH A TOUCH OF HISTORY! - Location of the hotel is amazing! Quaint and convenient although you may have to deal with the noise in the vicinity. As it is in the proximity of where the major mall is you will be hearing a lot of traffic noise till about 9 - 10pm. The hotel is quite quaint and comfortable. It is truly an old style lodge type of property. The most amazing part of the hotel was the BEAUTIFUL and WONDERFUL restaurant called Hill Station. The owner Mittas is the best to hospitality and welcoming you to her restaurant ensuring you have the best. The staff at the Front Desk were very kind and very accommodating at ease to help you with anything you need. The property is nicely secured in the late evenings as a security guard sits affront of the property. Most of all the property is at a very comfortable and convenient location and has wonderful service and a wonderful restaurant to accommodated their guests. I would definitely return to this property as it is away from the major areas of tourism but close enough to get
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very convenient property for us. Our last night was a disaster because the water tank or something about the water was inoperative. It was uncomfortable not having water when one has an upset stomach.
If not for the last day, all went well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I always stay in this hotel whenever I go to Baguio City. Great location, clean room and bathroom, friendly staff and free breakfast.
- bender245 (2/5): only recommend to your worst enemy - we had arroved at a cold rainy evening, when the staff wouldnt let us enter the room and dry up / change clothes before they told us about every little unnecessary detail and possibility to upgrade to AC room(?!). so when we got to the room, fan was running, tv too, but certain lights or ref was unplugged. so we had to crawl on the floor plugging things. very loud and busy road next to room. window of cr unlockable to keep noise or rain out. toughest stay in hotel in decades!! btw we payed for a officaly worth 8000pp room as big as 12sm. breakfast not included. hot water didnt work, sink clugged. even more inconveniences. just dont come here, thank me later!
- Mar6tin (6/5): Go there to eat not to sleep! - I was there for a night with my family, +- 6000 pesos for 2 rooms and 1 night about 100€ which is expensive for the country . The idea of that colonial decor, ambiance and the classy people's clothes dressing were very nice!
Even if the decoration outside the rooms is well done, the interior was really disappointing. For that price, I find it very disappointing, a very little room without well-done finitions. We saw that it’s a long time ago that it wasn't renovated, especially the bathroom. It’s time to build it again! Especially in the bathroom, the joints were very dirty.
The only problem was the rooms because I found the service very good and professional in the Philippines.
Also, one thing to change is that when you arrive, you have to read and sign a stupid paper with a lot of stupid and funny rules such as ‘prohibited to eat Durian inside the room’, 'no shrimp past allowed’, and etc. 😂
Please, are we in a hotel or in a rehab? That was really ridiculous.
But the very good point of this hotel is THE RESTAURANT ! AMAZING! The service was perfect with an amazing food quality and preparation for a good price. Of course, for the Philippines it’s quite expensive but compared to the European prices it’s really good and worth it! And the personnel were very professional and good on their job.
To conclude, I would say, go there for the dinner ... you will not regret it but don’t sleep there because you will be very disappointed.

- crinkle21418 (6/5): Needs renovation - Well the place is nice but I think they need some little renovation .
We'll if your room is standard/family room you could really hear the noise from the hallway and if your tired from travel or from exploring baguio just be ready or perhaps an ear buds could help you sleep 😁😁😁
But other than that the staffs would accomodate and assist you.
- jeff0940 (8/5): Trip down memory lane - To have been built in 1909 and still be erected at 2019 is enough to awe some history fanatics. Its rustic and classy vibes takes you back to a place you never knew existed. Everything is within reach: a cafe, bookstore, spa, mall, tourist spots. Can’t imagine a more perfect place to stay in Baguio.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Rustic but clean. Old building worth trying to stay in . Accessible to everything.
- 486selwyn (8/5): Almost perfect - I love the ambience of this hotel. It is situated just near the busy Session Road and walking distance to SM Baguio (not that it mattered to me). The staff was very helpful and courteous and the hotel has character. At first I was going to book thru AirBnB but I’m glad we stayed here instead. The only downside is that the way to the parking area is too steep alhtough the way out is flat. One thing that made this only a 4 star was that on our first night there was a party in one of their function rooms and the guests were so rowdy that the noise can be heard up to the rooms and it was already 1130pm. Had to tell the staff the next morning to do something about it as I saw that they are preparing for another function the next night.
- Z3724ZFnicolasg (6/5): Avoid rooms on first floor - rest ok. - Check-in and out excellent and fast. Breakfast is continental, omelette was ok, coffee fine. Wifi is unstable to non-existent, even in lobby area. The entrance is amazing and I thought this was a great hotel. But then, I was allocated to room 103! (no aircon, facing the main busy road); stuffy and hot, no fresh air.
So I asked for another room and was reluctantly allocated to room 212 - excellent, Big window that opens over the carpark, fresh air (but still no aircon). Happier, so ask for these rooms. The restaurant has great views and is peaceful and relaxing.
Casa Vallejo is located within walking distance to Victory Liners (bus) so consider it for a late night arrival or an early departure.
- Peter (8/5): - Very convenient to SM mall. Newly refurbished room with good amenities.
- tebanlacatan (8/5): Most comfortable stay at the middle of everything - Pluses
The location (near Session, SM and bus stations is the best
The room is comfy and nice
The staff are warm and helpful
Could help if improved
WIFI is weak
Tip
Choose rooms farthest from the street to lessen the noise
There is a restaurant at the vicinity so smell of food being cooked can be experienced
They can keep an eye on your bags if you happen to arrive too early for check-in
- Peewee (8/5): - Nice hotel except for the noise from vehicles since its in the heart of Baguio. Staff are good but they need to be more informed about the places to visit in the City of Pines.
- clauwanderlust (6/5): Noisy and strong fabcon smell in the room - The hotel is okay and clean but I hate the strong smell of fabric conditioner when we entered the room. It gave me a headache! The room given to us is located downstairs and I hate how we can hear the footsteps of a running child on one of the rooms located on the main floor. It’s annoying!
- james (8/5): Nice hotel close to many attractions - Everything was perfect for the time stayed the staff were exceptional and kind the restaurant had wonderful food and the rooms were very homely
- princess (4/5): need improvement - dissappointed, its not what i expected, water is weak, no coffee maker, no aircondition, reception desk is not professional, and cleaner need to re-train.
- Kevin (8/5): Historic hotel - Nice place with lots of charm and history. Bed, sheets, and pillows were all high quality and very comfy. Room wasn't big, but not too small either. No ac, but late Nov weather didn't require it. Bfast was great and the restoraunt downstairs was pretty good. Only complaint is the shower, the water was hot but the pressure was way too low. Also the shower fixture was odd, I never did fully understand how to operate it. One time you turn it a certain way and get a reaction, the next time you do the same thing and the shower gives a different reaction. Staff was nice. Enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fun Trip for All - The surrounding area has more to do than can be done in two days... Wonderful fun for the entire family!!!
- Ricky (6/5): needs improvement - the wifi does not reach the room, and the room is right next to a hiking club which is always very noisy. i asked to be transferred but i was told i had to pay extra. not good.
the hotel is very close to a big shopping mall and so is always busy and noisy with traffic. the facilities such as carpets etc are old and I think no amount of cleaning will save them. they need to be replaced.
on the positive side it is close to Session Road and Burnham Park and the Public Market, all within walking distance. And the restaurant Hillstation had very good food, including the complimentary breakfast.
but in summary, there are better hotels nearby. and one can just go for a meal at the Hillstation without subjecting oneself to the problems of the hotel
- damien (8/5): serendipity - Chose VALLEJO for its old world ,historic character, and was not disappointed. Still has the original characteristics, albeit moved into the modern world with facilities. Loved it. Much better from my perspective than the stylish, but soulless modern hotels. Especially enjoyed a few hours in the HILL STATION restaurant, with good food, drink ,and singer/pianist.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Intimidating staff - The staff is very intimidating and always asks about where youre going.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Casa vallejo stay - Convenient location. Very near the cathedral, public market and park. Very delicious breakfast prepared by Hillstation cafe. We will surely come back to this hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good bones, bad teeth. - This hotel and the associated Hill Station restaurant have so much going for them. The historic building is charming and away from the congested town center The staff is overall quite attentive. The restaurant is airy, spacious and has delicious food. So why have such poor cleanliness in the guest rooms? The upholstered headboard was very dirty and made all the bedding seem suspicious as well. If I had noticed before coming back after getting soaked in a downpour, I would have insisted on a change. A tiny investment in the decor with new bedding and perhaps adding some of local crafts would go a long way to making this a truly special place Definitely examine the room before you settle in.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient location - Everything went smoothly except for the noise on the first floor hallway. At night we heard employees chatting and were loud adding to the busy noise from the footsteps of people also checked in. Bathrooms were clean and the location is perfect for all basic Baguio tours.
- Bryan (8/5): Old Baguio Feels - I've stayed in this hotel multiple times, and booked limited standard, standard and honeymoon rooms. Location is excellent, walking distance to Session Road, Victory, SM. It is an old wooden structure, so it has this old smell and feel, which gives it a vintage vibe. Limited standard and standard rooms are facing the street and tend to be noisy, so if you plan to enjoy Baguio by cuddling under the sheets the whole day, don't choose these rooms. The rooms are also rather small. The honeymoon rooms are a bit pricier, but are slightly more spacious and quiet.
Breakfast served at Hill Station is top quality. A visit to the North Haven Spa is a MUST!
Tip: If you need a hair dryer, just request from the reception.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good - Our stay is okay but need to always check and fix the toilet especially at room 101 where we stayed. There is a restaurant downstairs and a bookshop, just a few walks to the nearby mall.
- Ki Pao (6/5): Decent Hotel to Spend the Night - The hotel was situated on a less busy/crowded street. Within walking distance to places to eat. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice. Only issue we had was the thin walls. You could hear conversations from outside and inside the hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The service is excelent specially the restaurant. But the rooms are not really clean carpet are dirty and the bathroom are not really clean. The people in the front desk is very professional the only thing need to improve is the room and bathroom.
- Peter (8/5): Old World charm - The hotel is a very convenient and comfortable place to stay albeit old fashioned. The meals are excellent and the service is great. At around 100 years old and one of the original US administration buildings it is an island of tranquility in the middle of Baguio. An evening meal in the dinning room has a colonial atmosphere and good food.
Quiet and relaxing, not a night spot but close to places that are.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very good location, accomodation not ok - since they dont have ac in their rooms, they should have backup portable electric fans, in case their customers ask for one. The night was warm on our first night, so we ask for extra fan the following day but they were not able to provide us with one. I dont think they made much effort to provide us with one. We had to open the windows to let cool air in. But then we had to deal with big mosquitoes too. If they had installed screen windows, this could have been prevented.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place with historical value - Good restaurant, good coffee, good food, friendly staff - historical landmark
- Jess (10/5): - Great location plus I love the ambiance of the place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good. - The wood is creaky, the rooms are basic, and the heater can be hit-or-miss, but the ambience, and the delicious breakfast makes it worth it.
Walking distance (as long as you don't mind walking on inclines) from Session Road, SM Baguio, Burnham Park, the night market, and the public market, yet far enough to be isolated from most of the city's noise.
Not for honeymooners, though - the walls are thin and the floors are creaky. Everyone will know that you've been busy.
- Zel (2/5): No so good to recommend - The room was disappointing because the bed cover has stains and the room was expensive and no ac. You can hear all the outside noise. The only goodthing is the resto.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice stay - Clean and close to all the activities in Baguio. Very professional staff and hope to stay again. Only downside is room gets warm and no aircon.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Sorry stay because of towels and bed sheets: - For the money, I will rate this stay as so-so. It was nice that it is close to the only Mall of the City however; parking is real bad, the ramp slope is scary and not most cars can drive down that slope. The least they can do is offer clean sheets, sheets and towels are limp and color grey. Suggest guest bring your own sheets and towels, HA! Bathroom Hot water is real hot! Staff service is very good,
- Verified traveler (10/5): cozy - Walking distance to Mall.. Fresh Cabin feel with nice dinning view
- Robert (8/5): - I really enjoyed my stay. The food in the restaurant is excellent!
- Darren (8/5): Nice hotel in Baguio City - The hotel was a great place to stay. It is one of the older buildings in Baguio City but was very pleasing. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the hot water worked very well. Not much of a view out the window of my room, however, i wasn't in Baguio to stay in my room and look out the window. Also the aircon worked very well. Overall, i had a great stay here at Casa Vallejo.
- Miguel (8/5): - over all it's good but they need to change their towels because it's already old. Other than that, thumbs up!
- joms (8/5): Great Hotel Near SM Baguio and Victory Liner - Nice Hotel. Accessible to jeeps and taxis. The room is not so cold but cool. Water Heater is a must and they never failed us.
The staff are very good and helpful. They allowed us for late check-out and let us to left our stuff in the lobby since our bus will leave @3pm
- Alfonchito (6/5): - It was ok, front desk must be courteous and pleasing personality but they look sad and don't even acknowledge guest staying with them for a long time.
- Arthur (6/5): - The room was cold and damp. No hot water to shower. We were given a bucket and an electric heater for water. I'm not a big fan of bucket baths while on vacation.
- STANLEY (8/5): Nice hotel good location - Hotel had a nice ambience feeling. Cabin style feeling. Nice restaurant good food in hotel. Wifi weaker when your room farther away. No A/C in room just ceiling fan. Close to SM Mall and many restaurants walking distance. No complimentary bottle water. Overall nice hotel. Comfortable stay.
