- Collin (10/5): Wonderful room and location - The resort is lovely and the staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of shops and restaurants around the resort. The room was very comfortable. One note is that Hotels.com calls it "Heavenly Village Condos" but the building is branded as Marriott (and there is one on either side of gondolas) so it was hard to find the right place.

- Dina (10/5): Great Stay - It would have been ideal if we would have been informed the pool and the hot tub were closed for repairs and renovation. Otherwise a great stay!
- Julia (6/5): - This is a Marriott property and the standards are usually high. We were very disappointed that for our stay the pool and BBQ areas were closed due to construction. We were not notified in advance and overall our cost per night including the cleaning fee at check out was over % $500/night for their smallest room, a studio. Thank goodness the daily parking fee was included and we didn't have to cover that too. We are Marriott timeshare owners and when we asked if we could have a pass to use the pool at the Marriott property across from The Grand Residence, we were told no due to the volume of guests staying at The Timberlodge that weekend. Ironically, we know exactly how occupied the Timberlodge was because we stayed there for 7-nights before checking in at The Grand Residence. Communication could have been better. I will never rent through Heavenly Village Condos through Expedia again. I will stick with AirBnB and avoid the cleaning fee which is ridiculous.

We have stayed at this property many times, but this experience was a little disappointing. The room was very small, tired looking, the pillows are very uncomfortable and the coffee maker was difficult to work and my coffee was like warm. Also, we learned that the Grand Residences voted to not offer daily activities except a few fitness related items and they do offer them at Timber Lodge but aren’t shared between both.

Serenity Spa was top notch for a massage!

- Patti (2/5): - Room was dirty, a lot of wear on walls, window sills, kitchen cabinets, refrigerator was dirty. Sheets had an area of dried vomit , had to remove the sheet because it was too late at night to call the front desk. The bed was the worst! Big dent in the center, way too lumpy, did not sleep well at all. This used to be a nice hotel. Definitely needs a total remodel. Not Marriott quality.

Pool isn't getting cleaned, etc. Also - for whatever reason, the ONLY ice machine in the entire building is on the 3rd floor FAR away from the elevator..around room 3200 or something. No signs or directions or any other way to find it..so beware if you're looking for ice. That's where the laundry facility is as well so I guess they're just trying to keep it a secret or something.

- Thomas (8/5): Father's Day getaway - This is a vacation club/time share property and we rented from an owner. But the process and overall experience was like it was a typical hotel. Property was very nice. Excellent location. Room was nice overall; very clean. Beds were too soft. No vent fan in the bathroom, so humid after a shower with a lot of condensation on the mirror. No refrigerator in the room.

One night someone broke glass so that shut down pool. Love steam and sauna. Proximity to Heavenly is perfect. Staff are friendly and helpful if you ask. I can’t believe they shortened the checkout time. It is now 10 AM and then they act like they’re giving you a prize to let you check out at 11. It’s preposterous for the price they’re charging per night.

- Mike (2/5): - The Property was not maintained we spent two full days working with staff to make unit habitable. Tim @ Heavenly Village Condos said he was going to work with Marriott to help with compensation nothing transpired. We had to leave the property and eat at Fire and Ice all in the party had food poisoning. I paid full price for accommodations. I should have charged for my time facilitating maintenance and cleanup. Carson Unit manager was hard to reach and did not reconcile our bill accordingly. I will say unit 4103 is now in tip top shape due to my wife and I and Guy the maintenance supervisor. Heavenly Village Condos and Marriott should provide a full refund.

- Alberic (10/5): - Recommended for family vacations. Spacious, plenty of room and beds. Has view of the pool and partial view of the Heavenly gondola. Few nit picking items, there are a total of only three garbage bins in the unit, 1 each bathroom and 1 in kitchen (minus master bedroom and bath which was not included in rental). The trash bins in the included two bathroom can be bigger. There are no garbage cans in the other rooms and no recycling bin in the kitchen. Cleaning service is only on the last day. Otherwise nice place to stay.

We liked the security of the place, needed a key to enter everything, elevator, pool etc. Did not like the remote control to the main tv in the room. It was a pain to use, very slow! We didn't use the bedroom tv so don't know if it was the same. I missed having a bigger frying pan, room only had a little one. We had a wonderful stay!

- Richard (10/5): - The Grand Residence is South Lake Tahoe was originally- a residence, where one could purchase 12 weeks or more at a time. Now it's a Marriott time share, and it's a block away from their other timeshare, Timber Lodge. The Grand Residence has a pool, hot tube, and a surprisingly good work out room, but it's not a resort with a bar, restaurant, or daily activities. It's quiet. no music at the pool. The rooms are large, and the full kitchen has modern appliances and is well appointed. One can walk a block to multiple restaurants, to the Heavenly Gondola, and it's perhaps 3-4 blocks to the casinos.

They make sure by 9 pm that the outdoor music stops and things quiet down outside. So, if you have an early morning the next day you can turn in without noise to keep you up. Would stay again if we are that way.

The pool is the beautiful and huge, along with two hot tubs. So many restaurants and cafes are just doors away from the hotel and best of all, there’s a nice hike up the mountain just outside the hotel.

- Kristel (8/5): South Lake Tahoe Gem - The whole property was great! Our room was beautiful & had comfortable beds. The pool was nicely heated & there were 2 jacuzzis that everybody was able to use. Great location in the middle of the village & everything was easily accessible! The only bad thing I had to say was the housekeeping fee - almost just as much as one night stay & also the mattress on the pull out couch was very very uncomfortable & my kid was unable to sleep very well.
