Woken by car alarm at 3am in parking lot. Observed someone fleeing. Smoke detector removed , wires left hanging. We left super early after alarm and found safe place to continue sleep in vehicle.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Give it a pass for now. - I have stayed at this property before, it is on the lower end of the scale but it suits the purpose, which is a cost effective place to stay in a tourist crazy environment. This time, it was different. The main building looked like I imagine Kyiv looks after being bombed and droned by Russian forces. If I looked out my window I was disgusted by the view. The lobby was full of junk, garbage, part of the driveway entrance was blocked even the sign was smashed and if I didnt know where it was, I would not be able to find it. That said, my room was clean, quiet and comfy. Not a single issue with the room. Until the renos or whatever they are doing are complete, I would give it a pass. There are 4 units in the building i was in, all 4 were full in the am. Not sure if there are any other liveable units in the other buildings.
• Rachel (2/5): - This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at! I booked this place super late and last minute so I was unable to cancel- despite how sketchy the place seemed upon arrival. The stairs were dangerous to walk up and I almost fell down them twice. The room smelled very musty and there was a cigarette hole burned through my comforter. You could see splatter of god-knows-what on the washroom walls and mirror. There was no hot water the night I checked in and no water at all the following morning so I couldn’t even shower. I dropped a noodle on the floor so I took a white towel to wipe up the spot and the towel was black in that spot. Truthfully, the whole vibe felt like a place for prostitution and druggies. Additionally, the concierge charged me $50 for my service dog, was super rude, and kept yelling and calling me a liar because I refused to show him papers displaying my personal medical information. Fortunately I know I’ll get that $50 back because hotels aren’t allowed to charge for service dogs but the whole stay experience felt dirty and gross! I would never stay here again.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Yeahhh… don’t book here - Mate the place is decrepit! I felt out of place as if I should be shooting heroine into my veins to fit in with the look of the hotel. The area is decent & location is not bad. I easily book 3-5 hotels in a month, but I have never in my life experience something like this. I want to say the room could be clean, but I am unsure given how the whole place is maintained. I booked out of desperation, since every location was book. Given the price I paid, I expected something regular; especially in QC city area. Listen, I was best off sleeping in my car.

Looked gross and unappealing. Property was dirty, unkept and definitely did not look like photos at all. Would not recommend or stay again. Did not feel safe or comfortable.

Cleanliness was average, but getting to our room on the second floor was difficult because the front desk staff did not have the key to unlock the access door from the parking lot. So we had to carry our luggage all around the place. It was decent and got the job done.

There was an adjoining door inside the room, but no rentable room behind it. The outside area was decrepit, with questionable surroundings. Would not refund money, we left and rented elsewhere.

People around us we talking at 3am, were signing at 6am, and we really just wanted to sleep. Our experience was more so impacted by the surroundings rather than the room itself. Good perk : the hotel is really close from downtown Quebec, the Falls, Sainte Anne de Beaupré, etc.

Room was very clean and neutral scent. Bed was comfortable and clean. Front desk was multi-lingual and can communicate in english as well which they will answer your questions and explain regarding your booking. Breakfast is available. They have the Best price in the city. There are Security Cameras around the parking lot/reception for safety. Has Plenty of parking space and well lit at night. Strong and fast Wifi internet, Fridge, blow dryer and cable TV available. Lots of hot water flowing and consistent temperature.

Electric heater(s) not on. 10° outside. Same inside. Wifi and satellite spotty. USB charge ports not powered. 1 sheet, 1 blanket. We froze. Entire facility looks has not been repaired for at least 10 years. Junction box for heater on outside of wall. Only good thing was no rain inside. Toilet tank leaks water on broken tiles. Rusty tp holder, held in place with drywall screws. A slum.

• ngochan2018 (2/5): An experience like no other. - The premises and rooms are not equal of a 2-star hotel/motel. The tiles in the bathroom was broken, old mattress that cause back pain :(( The hotel lost its power on the second night of our stay from 11am forward. My husband came to the front to ask for any update or relocation. The owner said the power will be back at 7pm, however, until 9pm and we still had no electricity, no hot water and no food or any staff came to tell us we could be relocated somewhere with electricity. By 9pm we went to the front and no one was there. The whole reception section and dining areas were like escape room with no light and no one. We tried to come back and forth between our rooms and the reception areas to find someone and finally we found the owner. The man just yelled and glared at us and slammed the front door to our face saying we had to stay in our room and did not give us any chance to ask. After that he just left. WE have no choice and no interest to stay and that hotel any more and went on to find a new accommodation. The next day when we came back and ask for a refund of whatever left for our stay which is 8 nights. However, the owner just said the electricity is back and refused to refund or be a polite host as he supposed to be. We lost $700 for nothing but bad attitude. I never experienced this kind of hospitality service before and recommend who choose this hotel in the future, beware you might be treat like a prisoner, not a customer at this property. This is the worst Christmas in my life.

• Tina (10/5): - Everything was clean, the room was very nice and cozy. Bathroom was fine and clean. No coffee machine in our room (but Tim Hortons and Mcdonalds right beside or you can bring your own), there is a mini fridge in the room which worked great. The room was pretty spatious and the bed very confortable. Quebec city is 10 min maximun away. Only negative side was you can hear people talk outiside or arrive but people are reasonnable and dont disturb on purpose. I would for sure stay at Hotel/Motel le Rejent again and will think about them for our next visit to Quebec City.

The bathtub however had been painted but the paint was peeling and large swaths had been stripped away and more crumbked off everytime we showered. The floor of the tub was very slippery but no tub mat was provided...i would be surprised if no one has injured themselves yet due to slipping in that tub.

Please keep this feeling up for the customers by taking care of details, like in my room, the door was difficult to close from inside and the bathroom fan was noisy. Also, the insulation from outside lacks a bit probably due to that old air conditioner from window, which allowed cigarette smoke from outside to come into my room. By the way, this property is advertised as smoke free, so a bit of enforcing on this side wouldn't hurt. Also, this hotel lacks amenities. Aside the place for taking breakfast, there is nothing else to ad to the value of this property. So, if you just need a clean room to sleep overnight and leave in the morning, this is a good place, otherwise you may wanna look somewhere else.
