Guest Reviews
- Ann (9/5): - Lovely B&B in the old town of Québec, spacious room and a cosy atmosphere. We would have liked coffeeshop-uitbater and tea facilities in the room.
- Julia (9/5): -
- Martin (10/5): A beautiful weekend in Quebec City in a beautiful typical hotel in the old Quebec - The property location, the hospitality and the decoration Nothing everything was just fine
- Daniel (10/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): - Beautiful room and fantastic location for seeing the Winter Festival!
- Nancy (9/5): Had a great time!!! - Very good breakfast & excellent location Next time I would stay on the 2 bottom floors. The third floor was too many steps for me. There is no elevator.
- Lisa (10/5): Excellent!! - The Hostess was warm and friendly, it felt as if she were welcoming you into her home. I loved everything about it. I would come back again!
- Kevin (8/5): Lovely quirky French Quebec stay in the old town. All sights easily walkable from your door. - Quirky bed and breakfast, proximity to the old town, lovely landlady 😊
Breakfast is plentiful but is continental, no hot choices. Coffee and tea on tap all day long Breakfast could have been more varied with fruit and hot dishes added
- Ivar Karsten (9/5): - Særpreget, personlig stil. Svært hyggelig vertinne Ingenting
- Susan (8/5): Great location, delightful place (with steep stairs). - Location was fabulous!! The host was super helpful. The room was very quaint and quiet.
Grateful for the air conditioning :). Stairs were steep, and we were on the 4th floor. I missed in my reservation that there wasn't an elevator. We managed fine, but if you've got big luggage beware. Coffee and breakfast were OK, but we mostly went out to cafes.
- Susan (9/5): It was so convenient to all the sights & great restaurants in old city - Hostess so lovely and helpful. Room old style and gave you the full feeling of being in Quebec old city. So convenient to all. Terrace was lovely to sit on and see the view. Stairs were a challenge, steep, long & curved at the end of each set due to narrowness of residency. I made it but not for older people or anyone with any disability.
- Blouin (8/5): -
- James (7/5): Was a beautiful spot but parking was far. - Our host was very caring. The view of the room.
- Norbert (10/5): -
- Joanne (10/5): It was fantastic - Breakfast was great and the location was absolutely perfect.
- Stephen (9/5): Great choice for small hotel/B&B in Old Quebec. - Room was lovely, spacious, and clean. Location was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ice buckets or trays in the fridge would have been nice.
- Vincent (9/5): In a word: Special! - Jolanta was wonderful. Super friendly and helpful. The room was delightful. Spacious yet cozy. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast hit the spot - just enough to start the day. Location was great. A wonderful choice to celebrate a birthday and the Christmas spirit. All good. no bad.
- Jacques (8/5): Très bon emplacement. Déjeuner très complet. Hôte empressée et accommodante. .
- William and Patricia (10/5): Perfect location for Old Quebec city walking! Staff was spectacular - Location, location, location, very homie!
- ALAIN (9/5): -
- Caroline (10/5): Fantastic stay Old Quebec - A beautiful old building with quirky charm. Very clean, large, uniquely styled room. Breakfast was lovely and very relaxing. The host is lovely, so welcoming and friendly. Location is perfect for exploring We really enjoyed our stay Nothing
- M (10/5): I Will absolutely stay here again if I return to Quebec. - The location was perfect and the woman working there was the kindest person ever! They went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed.
- Aditi (10/5): Excellent, will stay here any time I visit Quebec next - Jolanta is a very kind host. The breakfast was very nice every single day. The rooms were super clean and there were more than enough towels and supplies in the room.
The heating in the room was also very good considering how cold it was during Christmas.
- Theresa (9/5): -
- Arianna (8/5): - Such a cute and charming property. So close to everything in the Old City I had issues connecting to the internet while staying on the top floor.
- Sandra (8/5): Great breakfast and wonderful location with friendly host. I would stay again. - Lots of character A little tired
- isaacclarkeegn (10/5): - Hotel was excellent and in a great location in Old Quebec City. The hostess was available whenever we called and was incredibly nice and helpful. Room was warm, spacious, and clean. Included breakfast is simple but very good with coffee/tea, bread, cheese, eggs, and cereals. Overall excellent stay!
- Caissie (10/5): We had a great three day stay in Old Quebec. - This was one of the nicest B & B's I have stayed at. We had a very spacious, beautifully decorated (antique style) room. We had a small private balcony with table & chairs to sit at and enjoy the amazing architecture of Quebec City. Our room was on the second floor, and we found it to be very quiet in the evening and during the night. We enjoyed the breakfast which consisted of eggs, various cheeses, breads and homemade jams, as well as cereals and baked goods. The location was excellent, we were able to walk to all of the attractions we wanted to see, and when it came time to depart we just walked straight downhill to get to the VIA Rail station.
- Hervé (8/5): -
- William and Patricia (10/5): We would definitely stay here again. It was a wonderful experience. - Fantastic location, beautiful facility, staff super excellent!
- Alina (10/5): Delightful first time in Quebec City - Owner Jolanta ! Room was spacious and beautifully decorated . Great location ! Good breakfast . Nothing
- Marc (10/5): -
- Ajiboye (8/5): -
- Vicki (9/5): We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely stay there again. - There was a variety of breakfast options provided. The hostess was very friendly and available. The location was excellent for walking around the Old City of Quebec. There were many restaurants and shopping choices near this boutique hotel. The 3-story walk-up gave us a workout with our luggage. We'll pack lighter next time.
- Chris (10/5): -
- Sami (6/5): -
- Bruno (2/5): -
- Co (8/5): Comfortable inviting bed-and-breakfast run by a very wonderful hostess. She is a delight! - Our hostess was lovely. Very helpful with directions and assistance in the hotel itself. We were able to drop off our bags before the room was ready, with her permission. We added another party member unexpectedly and she was very gracious about it. The breakfast was exactly what we would need. There were a lot of offerings of cheese and bread, as well as multiple cereals and yogurt. Many types of tea, hot chocolate, and coffee were also available. A perfect continental breakfast!
The stairs may be difficult if you are impaired, but we found them charming! We were glad that we had packed light for the trip as the climb from the train station up the hill was rather steep.
The room was just right the beds were comfortable and large. There was a terrace outside our room which provided a lovely view. The breakfast room was a little tight, but we were able to move into another room, which was quieter for those of us who needed coffee before socializing!
- Anne (10/5): - Le style
- Joaquim (9/5): -
- Juan (9/5): Tan pintoresco como Quebec - El espacio amplio. Café e infusiones. Ubicación Tamaño del comedor para desayunar
- Cheryl (9/5): Comfortable and close to downtown - Lots of interesting antiques and furnishings. Close to downtown. The owner is very friendly and had a secure place for our bikes. Overall, a great place to stay. The towels smelled like mildew but still usable. The breakfast is just average. Nothing special
- Paul (10/5): An excellent 3 night stay in Quebec old town. Really great accommodation - This is a really nice place. Our room (Baronne) had two queen size beds over two levels. It was very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and all we needed. Location is excellent for the old town. Tea cake for breakfast is a must. Didn't stay long enough
- jill (8/5): Quiet, convenient and comfortable - Very spacious room, Homey atmosphere, nice breakfast , and helpful staff. Nice views of the city from the Terrace. Quiet. And conveniently located to see the city sites. The mattresses were a bit hard for my taste. Lots of stairs to navigate with your luggage..
- Kevin (10/5): - From our check-in experience with our hostess, to the comfort of the beds, and location close to all we wanted to see in Quebec City, it was an excellent stay. The room was well equipped, and the property is just charming and full of character.
Would definitely come back and stay here again!
- Will (8/5): -
- Frank (10/5): Sehr schöner Aufenthalt im Herzen von Quebec City - Die ruhige und zentrale Lage. Das sehr große Zimmer mit Blick in Richtung City. Sehr sehr sauber.
- Stephen (10/5): -
- Holly (10/5): Lovely stay! We’d love to come back again! - Well furnished, quiet, good location, nice and welcoming host. Our room was in the third floor so we had to lug our suitcases three flights of stairs. Of course, this was our fault for not packing lighter!!
- Mark (10/5): -
- robin (10/5): The owner Yolanda was fabulous. She could not have been nicer or more helpful. - The breakfast provided was wonderful. Bread, fresh baking daily, cereal, eggs, coffee, tea etc. The only thing that would have made it better was some fruit. Otherwise, excellent. Nothing. everything was wonderful.
- Paul (8/5): -
- Judy (10/5): A perfect spot - The location was wonderful for meeting tours, visiting good restaurants and walking around. A quiet part of town but close to everything. A nice view from the common terrace. No cons
- Michael (9/5): Good value for location - Central to everything in the old city
Short walking distance to/from train station
Easy to find, host very easy to engage and help if needed. Very clean rooms, decent hot water pressure, good size as well, comfortable bed, quiet area. STAIRS. Not an issue and honestly if you’re coming to the old city it’s either up hill or down every where you go. Check in very easy. Would stay again. Breakfast is light but sufficient to get you going till lunch/brunch. Nice deck to view the surrounding area and have a glass of wine at days end.
Previous reviews were positive and accurate.
M No complaints
- eric (10/5): I would definitely book here again. - Everything. Jolande was an excellent host. The location is perfect! Nothing.
- Nicolas (7/5): -
- Laura (9/5): -
- Pawel (10/5): -
- yanina (10/5): - Castel d’Amérique Française is the perfect Old Quebec gem with a European charm—ideally located, hosted with warmth, and serving a delicious breakfast that makes the stay unforgettable.
- Subnath (9/5): Agréable séjour - Accueil chaleureux de Jolanta
Chambre spacieuse,
- Anil (10/5): - It was a charming little Bed and Breakfast, that was well located and close to every thing that old Quebec had to offer
Calme. Emplacement à quelques minutes du centre. Chambre supérieure spacieuse avec une belle terrasse. Plutôt pension de famille qu’hôtel. Loin des standards internationaux aseptisés. Pas de charcuterie au petit déjeuner. Supplément ménage pas compris dans le prix.
- MARIA TERESA (10/5): Excelente - Localização excelente!
- FRANK (8/5): - emplacement
établissement atypique.

- Wayne (9/5): The location and accommodations were excellent. The breakfast area was too small for the number of guests but this could - Great location, nice big room, friendly hostess Bathroom a little tight

- TONG YAN (10/5): - It was great
- Robert (10/5): Wonderful location and comfortable stay in Quebec City - Rooms were big, there was a patio to enjoy a drink in the evening, breakfast was satisfactory, the location was central to everything we wanted to see within the city walls We liked it here
- DANIELLE (10/5): Très bon hôtel - Bon hôtel à la décoration atypique. Chambre propre, literie confortable.
- MA RITA SHERYL (9/5): It was a perfect place and owners are very approachable and kind. Food was delicious even if the choices were just limit - It is located in the heart of the old Quebec. All tourist spots are just walkable from the place. The interiors are nice and instagrammable❤️
