- Isma (9/5): Amazing place and not that expensive for a 5 star hotel - Amazing place in New Caledonia. Very clean and friendly. Staff is super nice and friendly. The place is a true gem. We were the last person to take the breakfast, and they were still plenty of food. I don’t think the comment about « not having enough food in the buffet » is still accurate.

La navette est top pour nous amener dans notre chambre. La literie est super confortable également. Le personnel n'étant pas en capacité de répondre à nos questions. La cuisine du restaurant très salée au point de ne pas pouvoir manger. Nous avons fait remonter cette problématique mais n'avons eu aucune compensation sur notre repas... Concernant la chambre, propre mais on sent que les matériaux sont abimés et devront être changé rapidement

Devoir marcher +10min entre la chambre et le cœur de l’hôtel. Prix pour laver les vêtements exorbitants

- Jude5939 (10/5): A week in New Caledonia - The resort is 1 1/2 hour drive from Noumea. We hired a car and enjoyed the natural countryside. We received a very warm welcome at reception before being escorted by buggy to our beachfront bungalow. Thank you to Sonya and Guillaume for looking after us. Much appreciated. The bungalow was spacious and comfortable with a lounge area and large bathroom. The deck looked out onto the beach and sunset. A walk along the beachfront took us to the restaurants, reception and pool areas. A torch is handy at night when returning to the bungalow. The Sand Grill served delicious meals and the breakfast buffet at Roof restaurant was very good especially on Sunday. An excellent local restaurant Le Jardin de Poe is only a 4 minute drive away. We visited twice and enjoyed the local cuisine and seafood. We enjoyed two rounds of golf on the course beside our bungalow. Tony in the pro shop was very helpful. There are plenty of places to visit nearby. A car was very handy. A flight to New Caledonia is less than 3 hours from Sydney. A great overseas holiday to experience a different culture, Kanak and French and so close to home. We look forward to returning to New Caledonia which is so much more than Noumea and a few hour visit off a cruise ship!
- X24HMsophiab (8/5): Relaxing stay in New Caledonia - We stayed 3 nights in a beachside bungalow on our recent trip around New Caledonia. The bungalow was lovely, very comfortable with a beautiful outlook. The resort was very busy when we arrived on Saturday afternoon but cleared out on Sunday and was then very quiet. We enjoyed the buffet on Saturday night (very extensive!) and then only one restaurant was open on the other nights - but this was the beach side restaurant so was very lovely. Parts of the resort are being refurbished but it was quiet so this didn't bother us. We hired a kayak to snorkel off the reef in front of the resort (just amazing!).

Le lendemain au petit déjeuner, une seule employée pour la cuisson des œufs/omelettes/pancakes, donc service long. Dommage, mais le sourire était là, courage 🌺

Plusieurs équipements dans la chambre sont cassés et doivent être remplacés. La moitié du deck de la piscine était en rénovation, et le jacuzzi n'était pas opérationnel. Les prix auraient dû être réajustés en conséquence. Vraiment très décevant.b

- nee (7/5): - chambre très confortable lieu calme et reposant amabilité de la plupart du personnel la difficulté pour se repérer, en particulier de nuit : les plans ne sont pas clairs et les numéros de bungalows pratiquement illisibles, peut-être créer des noms de secteurs permettrait de mieux se repérer dans les innombrables raquettes et éclairer les numéros au début de la raquette la plage pratiquement impraticable en raison des algues les infos de Booking.com ne sont pas bien répertoriées par le Sheraton (en particulier la "demi-pension": le premier soir nous avons dû payer nos deux repas.) la mauvaise coordination entre les personnes à l'accueil : le dernier jour, il pleuvait, on nous avait prêté des parapluies pour nous rendre aux bungalows, nous les avons rapportés à l'accueil et la personne n'a pas enregistré le retour (c'était visiblement une stagiaire ou ne personne qui débutait, il faut bien apprende le métier: au moment du départ, on nous a pratiquement accusées d'avoir "volé" ces deux parapluies, c'était vraiment très gênant devant

De ne pas être nformer dès notre arrivée par la réception que la salle de sport est gratuite pour les clients qui sejournent à l'hôtel. Et de trouver une solution pour les oiseaux dans la grande salle du buffet et petit déjeuner.
- Isabelle (7/5): Petite déception pour ce séjour - Le site et le cadre comme d habitude. Du nouveaux personnel moins agréables et souriants. Peut être du au stress du début . L hôtel était plein ms pas beaucoup de personnel donc beaucoup d attente . Exemple au moment du rendu des chambres a 11h , 1 seule pers a la réception qui devait gérer les départs les appels et les demandes diverses. Toujours au moment des rendu des chambres il n y avait plus de serviette pour la piscine a la réception alors que c est souvent le moment où les gens se rendent ensuite a la piscine . Il y avait beaucoup de verres vident autour de la piscine qui y sont resté les 2 jours de mon sejour . Organisation a revoir donc .

- Estelle (7/5): Magnifique établissement mais déçus par les prestations en baisse - L’emplacement est magnifique au bord de la plage de Poe. Bel établissement, chambre confortable, très bon petit déjeuner L’établissement est magnifique mais manque cruellement d’entretien. Dans la chambre plusieurs équipements ne fonctionnaient pas dont la télé. Nous l’avons signalé plusieurs fois à la réception qui nous a répondu s’en occuper mais à notre départ le 3e jour personne n’était passé. Côté personnel certains très professionnels, d’autres beaucoup moins… Les prestations et leur qualité baissent d’année en année mais pas les prix
- Sandra (7/5): Bien mais ne vaut pas 5 étoiles - L'accueil, la gentillesse du personnel, la literie, le petit dejeuner Les 5 étoiles ne sont pas justifiées : certains transats et parasols sont abîmés à la piscine, le deck de la piscine est en réparation depuis un bon bout de temps, il manque de l'éclairage pour aller du hall aux bungalows (spot non remplacé), dans notre chambre le frigo ne faisait pas de froid, problème avec la baignoire, plus de service bar à la piscine comme avant. Bref si c'était un vrai 5 étoiles il n'y aurait aucun point négatif

- CAZERES (5/5): Très déçu - La piscine n'est pas très entretenu , problème de gestion niveau cuisine nous n'avons pas pu mangé à notre faim car tout était vide, pour un buffet à volonté ça n'était pas top surtout pour le prix que l'on paye, heureusement que le personnel était très aimable

- SammyJWatson (6/5): Beautiful but be prepared to be Independant! - Family of 4 with kids now 20 & 17. I was intrigued to stay at the Sheraton after reading such mixed reviews about the place, but there is not great choice in the Bourail region. It is a beautiful location and setting but, as one of the kids summed up, like a Ghost Resort. All the staff, when you could find them, were lovely, especially if you attempted to speak french. But it really was a look after yourself type place. At dinner, we went and got our own drinks in the end. We went to the kitchen to ask if we could order food. The food was delicious and the buffet night - incredible, but they were serving it for the next 2 days. Simple things like the area around the pool is run down and in need of work. The pool bar was closed and when attempting to get a drink to have by the pool (we were on holiday, so you would think this could be an option!?) it was not! Could not find anyone at the bar or willing to serve. If you are content to bring your own, the accomodation is well set up with a kitchen etc, so that is an option, visit le supermarche en route. Great for cycling around on the old push bikes. Golf course was fun for an hour. Beautiful sunsets. Gym was run down and some equipment potentially dangerous, so did not use. Have no idea if the spa was open or even an option. We loved going to nearby Poe Beach - excellent cafe there for lunch or snacks. I am really surprised Sheraton have their name attached to this resort and the prices they are charging. It's in desperate need of some TLC and investment - could be an incredibly special place.
