- Richard (7/5): Good cheap accomodation - Good clean accommodation in need of refurbishment. Very dated and whilst the bathroom was clean the exhaust fan was way past its use by date.(very noisy).
Staff were not seen but instructions via SMS WERE VERY GOOD Bathroom exhaust fan

- Lisa (6/5): It suites what we wanted. A convenient bed, bathroom and tv. - The property was well priced and in the area we were looking for. The property was obviously older and a bit worn and lacking polish. Despite that the bed was very comfy and clean and the whole block of rooms was very quiet.
- Vanda (3/5): Not good - Location It was very uncomfortable to sleep in the bed.
- Brooke (7/5): Value for money, clean facilities and great location - Excellent location, clean and great value for money for budget accomodation option in Hobart Bathroom space a bit small with no shower curtain meaning whole floor would be wet. Full length mirror also would be good edition.
- Page (8/5): Overall good value for money - Price and location Parking can be an issue
- knopf (4/5): - Bed was comfortable Shower/ bathroom. Holes in roof and poor facility.
Main room. Unsafe for children the is a door that opens to a 2 story fall.
- Emily (5/5): It was fine - it was what we were expecting from reviews, good location. - Beds were good, hot shower (when you could get the water pressure right), good location, accomodation was appropriate for what we needed. Great views. The property (and room) is very tired looking and draughty. The bathroom tiles where dirty e.g. dead bugs, general grime on tiles etc.
- peter (10/5): Have stayed before and will stay again. - Great location and good value for money.
- Sharon (7/5): Convenient location, just need to ensure the amenities are re-filled. 👍👍 - The convenience of the location. It was close to everything we needed. There was no coffee sachets in the room, there is a self serve cupboard that was accessible, however that had no coffee either. It was a really cold weekend, a cup of coffee would have been great.

- Sonya (8/5): Location location location - beautiful suburb on a budget - Location was exceptionally close to Salamanca and beautiful parks. Clean bathroom and bed. Being celiac a microwave would have been appreciated.
- van Veen (7/5): - Great part of town. Easy walk to harbour, restaurants and cafes. Beds were comfy

- Hoang An (5/5): -
- Sally (10/5): I highly recommend it. Great value - Quiet and comfortable. Very clean Needed a mirror in the room as one in bathroom steamed up. Also being able to open a window. Tge door to outside garden area let in mosquitos

- Michael (1/5): - Location & price Dreadful motel should be condemned, floor filthy, shower bad leak onto floor & worst design, window cracked, very bad trip hazard on main internal stairway & entrance to upper balcony. Rear exit stairs rusty & very low rail at top excellent if I wanted to commit suicide! Owner has not spent 1 cent on this hovel in fifty years.
- YEWANDE (7/5): Woke up and went about my business for the day - Property needs to consider a microwave in rooms Too close to road and noisy…. double glazed windows will be good
- Jeff (1/5): -
- Gibson (5/5): Slept well after the smell cleared - Very comfortable bed, good shower experience Most towel rails had been broken off - cracked bathroom window room was at the top of a flight of stairs surrounded by a glasshouse affair that left it stiflingly hot - no aircon - room smelled badly of bleach
- Sheralyn (10/5): -
- Karen (5/5): - Apparently a little noisy from what my partner told me he stayed there while I was in hospital. Found stairs a bit hard to manage but was clean and bed was comfortable 👌 Could hear noises from other rooms toilet flushing etc
- Anne (8/5): Convenient - Clean & convenient. Close to restaurants & other shops. That the front door to the units wouldn’t lock so quite unsafe really. Our room was secure but didn’t like the idea that anyone could enter the property.
- Anthony (4/5): Won’t be staying there again. - Location was great only thing going for this accommodation. The accommodation was only a 2 star no instructions on our arrival or any time we were there the building looks very tired and in desperate need for renovations.
The two flight of stairs we climbed to reach our room were rusted and didn’t feel safe to use.
- Paul (7/5): -
- stephen (7/5): -
- Allison (7/5): The location was good it provided a base for us while we visited Hobart and the surrounds - This is a self check-in hotel and it was very easy to get in and find our room. We were on the ground floor luckily. (There is 3 levels and no lift.) Parking is not adequete for the amount of rooms it is first come basis.
It was a 'wet' bathroom
No towel rail to hang our towels
A side door to a shared courtyard space was unlocked with no way to lock it
- Tilly (10/5): Looks a bit worse for wear on the outside , inside is lovely good sized rooms , good bathroom facilities comfy bed - Handy location , beautiful views , easy check in Nothing
- Wayne (3/5): -
- Delus (3/5): Don't go there! - Clean sheets, towels & comfy bed Room was very old, in a state of disrepair & not vacuumed. Reception unattended
- Bobby (1/5): No sink in room you have to clean cups in bathroom basin na proper heating or cooling not up to regulation standards wo - Nothing No sink in room you have to clean cups in bathroom basin na proper heating or cooling not up to regulation standards would not recommend
- Donna (4/5): Not recommended - The bed was very uncomfortable. Basic facilities. Will not be recommending it to anyone.
- karen (6/5): We have stayed before and would stay again! - Location was excellent
Good bed
Bad pillows
Clean Pillows
- simon (8/5): -
- Jaxon (3/5): - Close proximity to activities The rooms are becoming derelict. Fittings are breaking, walls were in poor condition.
- 惠 (6/5): -
- Janice (9/5): Perfect - It had the best mattress sheets and towels very comfortable beds
- Olivier (8/5): - Très bien placé près du centre ville et du port Pas de contact, mais les indications étaient très claires
- John (5/5): -
- Louis (9/5): -
- Evelyn (6/5): Convient short stay. - The location was great, close to the CBD.
Excellent instructions for self check in. Disrepair of the building and facilities.
The floor could have been cleaner.
The cluttered room, just a queenside bed and no single bed would have been better.
- Tahlua (2/5): VERY disappointed - To be honest not really much I guess al least he had somewhere to stay while we were away I sent an email regarding all the issues and ect with the room over a week ago and have had no follow up
- Liz (8/5): - Good value budget motel.
- Debbie (7/5): -
- Rosemary (10/5): It was quite I played competition sport all weekend I come and went in my own time. - I dint have breakfast. I loved Sandy Bay All was good the view was lovely

- Nelida (7/5): -
- Catherall (4/5): - Nice and cheap with a decent view. So unbelievably dusty. The fan had layers of dust caked on it. The bathroom had the same immense amount of dust sitting on it. Fridge was broken, Advertised 2 twin beds, only 1 twin, Bathroom windows didn't close, Bathroom was tiny, Toilet seat wasnt seated on properly.
- Alexandra (7/5): We enjoyed the location and views from balcony. There was no aircon and the windows were sealed up so fresh air wasn’t a - The location. In need of some room upgrades
- Graeme (4/5): - No microwave no plates unit wasn't serviced on my stay.
- Brandon (2/5): Worst place we stayed at. - Location Dirty, rude staff, no toilet roll holder, no towel holder, no shower screen and smelt.
- Hoy (8/5): Easy good value place to stay! - It was groovy, convenient to my needs and very clean
- Lynley (7/5): Great and staff were accommodating/ storing our luggage so we could explore Hobart for the day. - Location and value for money were Blue Hills best recommendations. It was Regatta Weekend so the late evening noise was understandable.
- Elise (7/5): - They could do with some landscaping
- Phil (1/5): Owner could not care less - Nothing Dirty linen, dirty bathroom , lack of parking, rusty windows, general disrepair
- Yunho (8/5): -
- Grace Ka Yee (9/5): -
- Shady (1/5): -
- BEE (6/5): Nice - Location The room we stayed was abit cozy.

- Alex (4/5): I won't ever stay there again, but thank you. - The flexibility of the check-in and check-out was great. Communication with the staff via phone and email were great. Location and directions to get there were great. Obviously it was a great price, but priced accordingly, not necessarily a bargain. Up on the third floor outside was hard for my elderly mother to get up to, I did mention when booking that I was staying with my elderly mother and was a little surprised at our room location, but understood that that was probably all they had available. Did not look like the photos online on the interior of our room. Beds were hard, especially the queen bed, but the sheets and towels were clean. The cleanliness was lacking in quite a lot of areas (around edges of room, walls, shower curtain skirt, etc.) and the facilities were old (inc. pls headboard with flaking paint behind, carpet, most of bathroom and a table we had to prop under one foot so it didn't wobble and make all our drinks spill) and some parts (like where the wall has some kind of rot behind the paint, behind the head of the single bed) was a bit gross. Leading up to the rooms upstairs, the staircase internally was covered in old tread worn (through to the metal) carpet. The staircase on the outside of the building was full of rust.

- Alex James (1/5): -
- Sonya (2/5): - Location Budget motel should not mean grubby! Stayed in better work camps. One pillow was very grubby, why did cleaning staff not notice? Blinds mouldy & should be replaced. Would not recommend motel too anyone !!!!
- Christopher (3/5): encouraged us to explore hobart as to minimise our time spent in the room - location of the motel was good. easy check in and out instructions. lovely view of battery point from the balcony near our room cleanliness was not apparent. dust everywhere, soap and toothpaste stains from previous visitors. rotted wood in the bathroom door. shower was pooling as it did not drain well. not enough towel racks. stains on mattress and floor. kettle was rusted and unsettling to use. half the light bulbs were not there. ceiling was caved in and there was a white plastic sheet that was “covering” the cracks (this plastic was also falling off). photos were misleading and perhaps showcased the best of the their rooms. sadly, it was not a vibe :(
- Sue (7/5): It was all we needed and was close to shops for meals and groceries - Room has been updated, Clean Another pillow
Near to back stairs. Very noisy with people coming and going all night
- Bree-Anna (1/5): Blue hills motel - The cleanliness was horrible, one of the lights didnt work, there was what looked like mould in the bathroom and on the windows, there was a blind missing, the staff had horrible customer service and there was difficulty getting into the room as they did not send me a code to get my key and delayed it until half an hour after my scheduled time and on the last night we stayed there our key had apparently "expired" as it didn't work on the door and we had to call up a manager who was lovely and told us to put the old on in the return bkx and directed us to a new one. However in the morning someone had obviously thought we'd left as they attempted to open our door!! Horrible experience and I expected more out of a moderately rated and priced motel.
We stayed in room number 15.
- Madison (1/5): Really disappointing, so filthy and sketchy. - Location was the only good thing about this accomodation. It was nothing like the photos advertised. It was filthy, it hadn’t been cleaned at all (e.g. poo marks on toilet seat, dirty carpet, dusty, mold, hair on shower walls, toothpaste on bathroom mirror and sink tap & basin). Didn’t have a smoke me detector and had cracks all over the roof. Rubbish was stuffed into a hole in the headboard.
- GEORGIN (1/5): - Room was not like in the pictures, small, not clean, very poor toilet
- Christine (6/5): A few things that could be fixed easily to make it a more pleasant stay, but overall it is pretty good for budget accomm - - Milk, coffee and tea provided
- Cupboard space
- Table and chair in room
- comfortable bed
- Close to battery point and Salamanca. - Very short reception hours. No one around after 1pm
- no power point in bathroom
- Bathroom drains smell
- Can hear people in other rooms urinating
- The toilet role holder fell off the wall because it’s not attached properly
- The towel rack sits right above the toilet which I think is just pretty gross.
- skirting boards, floor amongst furniture and bed head were VERY DUSTY
- The only window to open was a door to a mini patio that had no fly screen. The patio wasn’t really usable and the ground was covered with wet, musky carpet cut offs.
- Front entrance isn’t secure.
- Hazel (10/5): Always like staying there (I’m a repeat customer for the marathon) - Comfort, price, and availability Distance from somewhere to get a suitable hot meal (plus no reheat facility but I can understand the risks with having a microwave)
- Hazel (10/5): Love staying there, very comfortable and a good price - Cost and comfort Distance from eateries for simple takeaways
- Remo (8/5): - Nice rooms, clean and friendly staff Bed was uncomfortable, parking situation is a mess.
- Geoffrey (6/5): Average at the best - Location Travel agent
- Christine (5/5): Hotel was quiet but that’s was it. - Nothing Nothing enough parking .Had to park a block away from motel and walk in the rain. Only sugar for a cup of tea. No washer. No spare pillows. Disabled guest had 3 flights of stairs to navigate.
- Emily (6/5): -
- Sandra (6/5): On street it was noisy. A bit hot and no fan in our room. Should provide pedestal fans. - Our apartment was renovated but some are not yet. There was not much tea coffee provided and was not replenished the next day I.e room not serviced.
- Roshan (6/5): - Close proximity to city and transport and food No storage, wardrobes and power points next to floor. Tiny fridges. Didnt know they made them was rocking away every time u open and placed on floor. Not great for people with back issues and knees like mine.
- Laura (10/5): Overall excellent stay - Great location, room was spacious and comfortable. Good size bathroom. Bed was comfortable and linen and towels were clean. Would have liked an iron in the room and milk in the fridge wasn't replaced during stay.
- Mini (5/5): -
- Bronwyn (7/5): -
- Jason (7/5): Value for money due to location - Close to shops, short walk to Salamanca. Quiet location Could have done with a fan in the room just to circulate the air as it was a little warm.
Need to remove the door to the cabinet where the fridge is situated as it did not have enough room around it to circulate the air and was quite hot when you opened the door. Otherwise a lovely stay
- Emma (4/5): It was adequate. I was on tours every day so it was just somewhere to sleep - Location No heat or fans . No insulation so very noisy
- Cindy (7/5): Get what you pay for but location location - Was cheap , great location Noisy as had window open for air
Bed on wheels
- Jocelyn (10/5): - Location and cleaning No A/C
Room too warm.
- Lizzie (8/5): Considering the cost I guess it was a good deal - Convenient position Stairs
- JR (5/5): -
- Camilleri (6/5): - Location , not too bad considering the price you pay You could hear a lot of noise, my blinds
were broken so the sun was shining in the morning making it hard to sleep , I also was not a fan of the heater provided
- Prabakar (7/5): - Location Room cleaning not done and no air-conditioning available
- Igor (7/5): - Location is awesome, close to historic district and city centre. So overall would still recommend it, value for money. Old building and the room on the third floor wasn't in its good shape.
- Tracy (1/5): Filthy - Close walk to Salamanca Absolutely filthy, bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned in years, paint peeling off walls in bedroom
Spoke to desk manager about the condition and I was grunted at.
