Ce Ryokan est superbe, niché dans la montagne, on y trouve de vieux cottages style japonais qui donnent sur un jardin magnifiquement entretenu. Les inclusions de la chambre sont remarquables ! Jimmy (5/5): A solid 3/5 at the price of a 4/5 - Kotohira Kadan has a lot of potential. It has a good bath and sprawling location with good views (for those who have rooms overlooking the valley). The special single bunglows looked great as well. I thought the service was inconsistent. There were moments that were reminiscent of a high-end ryokan and others that seemed completely out of place. It seems like there were a lot of staff who were in process of training or something. I appreciate their effort but it is noticeable that they're training / junior staff.

There was also very nice Japanese baths and great view. The Kotohira shrines stairs are close by and it was very nice experience.

Mako (8/5): 21年前曾經入住，這次再次選擇住了2晚，想回顧當年，發現今非昔，飯店已經易主，並重新整修，主樓層有加了電梯，服務人員大部是外籍員工，感受跟當年大不同了。 - 飯店有庭園造景可以散步，距離金刀比羅宮也不遠，房間就有泡湯池不用經過戶外去泡湯。佔地蠻大，客房、大眾湯屋、餐廳、休息室分散各區，而區與區間要經過戶外及高高低低的階梯，甚至我們住的二樓客房並沒有電梯可以上下樓，住宿期間移動還好，但是退房時要提拉行李到大廳就有點累人了。另外貴賓室沒有任何點心飲料及服務人員，有些不解。

Okada (9/5): 素晴らしい、好感の持てるホテルです。 - 部屋は広くて清潔。スタッフの対応も丁寧で好感が持てる。場所も静かで景色もよく見える。また、与謝野晶子などの文人たちの泊まった部屋など、華麗な部屋も拝見できた。温泉風呂の入り口に飾ってある陶磁器などに埃が溜まっていたこと、掛け流し温泉では無いのか、温泉が流れ出ていなかったのは、気になった。また、近くに配膳流し部屋があったが、扉が開いていて外国人スタッフの声が騒がしかった。
Ting-Chu (9/5): 幸好事前聯繫飯店火車站接送服務，因為飯店前有一道上坡；飯店人員英文非常好，也帶我們認識飯店和房間的基本設施，房間有小小露天陽台， - 早餐專人送餐，現場自行烤魚，每一道都很精緻好吃有公共電腦和一台全身按摩機還有泡腳池可使用，非常推薦按摩和泡腳池！
Carayol (10/5): Parfait !! - Très bien. La chambre à la japonaise est très agréable, grande, bien décorée et fonctionnelle. On y était en famille (2 adultes, 1 enfant de 5 ans). Quand on est allé au onsen il n'y avait personne et le lieu est très sympa. Le diner était bon, en 9 services, mais on aurait apprécié que ce soit plus fin/délicat. Le petit déjeuner était plus recherché. On recommande en tout ! Rien
David (8/5): - Chambres confortables. Beaux équipements. Bel onsen Pas très flexible au niveau des repas. Il faut tout commander à l’avance et pas possible juste d’aller au restaurant de l’hôtel pour le dîner ou le petit déjeuner. Personnel compétant mais inégal en matière de connaissance de l’anglais.
