• AmberRose (2/5): Never again. - The front desk lady was nice. The only positives I can honestly give are that the AC worked very well and the room decor had some character. The fridge was a full size fridge and freezer. This place was absolutely disgusting. I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years, including during work travel, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. The room looked nothing like the photos online. The bathtub looked unsanitary with heavy staining/discoloration, and the bathtub faucet constantly ran in a steady stream. The fixture underneath the faucet also appeared damaged/open. There were stains and marks on the walls and floors, and even the stairs leading to the room were dirty. The fire alarm was not mounted on the wall and was instead sitting inside a drawer, which was extremely concerning from a safety standpoint. The bed was unbelievably hard to the point where I felt like there would be no difference between the mattress and sleeping on the floor. The refrigerator was also missing its door handles, and overall the room felt very poorly maintained.

• Biernacki (1/5): Not good. - The location. The place stunk all the time,the first room I checked into the bathtub was broken and water was running all the time. The room was filthy and seriously needed a deep clean. I was put into a different room and there was food caked on the furniture, black mold behind the toilet, the bathroom sink wouldn't drain. The refrigerator was disgusting and the beds had bedbugs. There was no cable only access to certain types of roku apps. The front entrance ceiling looked really bad. In all honesty the place should be shut down and renovated. But all in all you don't get much for how cheap it is.

• Rivas (7/5): My stay at the Island Inn - That the room had a full size refrigerator in the room That it didn't have a microwave n the week that I was there the water heater went out n the staff didn't notify anybody about n we were out of hot water for a whole week

• Kassie (1/5): Cold showers in the winter are not refreshing or relaxing. - Cheap and staff is efficient and friendly. Tried to take a shower and they had no hot water. When I called the front desk I was only told that they found this out an hour prior to my call and it’s supposed to be getting fixed. They gave no time frame as to when it would be back up.

• Crabtree (8/5): I will definitely come back because it was quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly but I do miss the breakfast the - For me the location was perfect. I was there for a funeral at Grand Island cemetery. I also went to eat with family at the Grand Island saddle club and it was very close. I liked having the convenience of a store next-door to make a munchy run. The heater in my room didn’t work. It didn’t bother me though because I usually sleep in the cool. I also didn’t have any towels, but in retrospect somebody didn’t run up there and say that I had ordered towels, but since I hadn’t ordered towels and didn’t realize I didn’t have any I sent them away. The non-standardized television channels were confusing to me so I use my smart phone most of the time for programming.

The hallway and steps had not been vacuum in a while very dirty, the fan in the ac unit didnt work the best.very old gringy towels.
• 630rickf (2/5): Stay here if you like filth and bedbugs! - Hallway carpet was old and smelly. Rooms, which had laminate flooring, were not much better. Musty smell everywhere. Our AC didn't work, so we were switched to another room. I could've let all that go, you get what you pay for, right? But the worst part of the whole experience was getting bitten all over by bedbugs, and then having the owner deny it on another review. I would have complained at checkout, but there was no attendant to be found. Hadn't seen anyone at the desk since we changed rooms.

• markfM3826QX (2/5): Lazy and inattentive to maintenance - Where to begin. First the rate was a lot more than advertised ($70 vs $45) I get to the room through a filthy unvacuumed hallway to find a giant puddle of water leaking from the full sized refrigerator. (They are proud of these full size refrigerators but I'd prefer a microfridge AND a microwave like most hotels offer.) Remote control for TV had only one battery so non-functional. Every minute or so there was a piercing beep from the smoke detector. Low battery? I get batteries from front desk only to find that the smoke detector is hard wired. Cigarette burn hole in the bedspread not too appealing. Bathtub hot water could not be turned off so it was constantly pouring-'not dripping-into a pool of water because the drain was clogged. Ice machine was broken. No coffee available anywhere. The only positive wss that the AC worked which was a godsend. Mattress was pretty comfortable as well.

The next morning.(kind of stuck there for a night) manager was not really interested in hearing my complaints. Checked out early....hopefully I was not charged for the two additional nights. I would not list this hotel on expedia....it is a work in progress/decline?

• Roth (5/5): I slept in a comfortable bed but was not happy with the room. - Being able to back up to in front of the door of the room was very convenient. The hotel has NO HANDICAP ROOMS but my room did have a ceramic handle included in the tub area that helped me get in and out of the tub. The bathroom was very small and it was difficult for me (a large person with unsteady gait and standing) to use it. The chair at the desk/table had only 1 screw keeping the seat attached to it. The upholstered chair was badly stained, electrical outlets were missing covers, and some outlets did not work (needed for my C-Pap machine), a towel was tucked into the top of the air conditioner and I do not know what that was for.

But conveniet and comfortable enough to be back in a future. Staff is highly efficient and very polite indeed. Glad I choose this place.
