- Karen (6/5): - This property is very unique and interesting. You feel like you’re staying in a very old building that has been renovated. The kitchen is well equipped with all amenities. The location to city center is amazing. So close and walkable. The hardest part was finding the reception to get the key. The sofabed is also very small and uncomfortable. We have tall teenagers that had to share this sofabed and they barely fit and said it was so uncomfortable. I would only suggest this sofa bed for small, little children. Maybe 10 and under.

- Justine (6/5): - The shower was so slick and slippery you had to put a bath mat down in the shower so you wouldnt slip and crash thru the glass, and i am an athletic person. Thatowels were musty smelling when you dried off and they only gave you one. The shower knobs you could barely turn for the temperature. The place was updated recently and decorated nicely.

- Joanne (8/5): - Efficient check in - but if you are arriving by car it’s a walk or a drop off one person whilst someone else parks option. The apartment is over 3 floors which means it feels spacious but the stairs are quite old and uneven and therefore unsuitable for people with mobility issues/ very small children. Bathroom was very clean and nice but toilet between upto 6 was a challenge. Beds were ok not very good mattress quality but had a topper which was an improvement. Didn’t use kitchen so can’t comment on this. What sets this place apart is location - set literally on the original city wall steps away from 500 years of history - you can literally imagine soldiers on the ramparts right next to your window. It is also walking distance to shops, attractions, restaurants, bars and the Minster
- Andrea (8/5): Ok but a little disappointed given the price. - Great location and nice if rather Spartan studio. (With no coffee machine but many egg cups) It does have an outdoor space but again, rather basic. I was seduced by the images on their page, which seemed to offer greater luxury. For the price, we thought our studio was quite expensive. The area was great with easy access to key locations. Staff were helpful and sorted the WiFi issue. Towels were clean but hadn’t been dried properly, so had a fusty smell.

- Miller (10/5): - Very nice apartment in superb location - out of the front door and straight into the shopping streets. We stayed in 'Viking quarters' which is on 2nd floor above the Goodramgate Apartments shop/office. Apartment is accessed via a side door and up 2 flight of stairs - no problem. We arrived early about 1.30pm but we were able to leave our bags in the apartment and we were given the keys for access after 3pm, after they had finished cleaning.
- Katie (10/5): Excellent stay - Our stay at Turpins Loft was brilliant. Great location, only 2 minutes from the Shambles and next door to Clifford’s Tower. Easy to get the keys and check in, not much communication needed prior to arrival. The place was clean, warm and modern with everything you needed for a short or longer stay. No issues with noise apart from the occasional traffic sounds at night, but nothing to keep you awake. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

I could have got a top end hotel foe this amount, this was a basic apartment that needs some decorating. Overpriced and wont use them again.

The staff more were truly amazing and they themselves deserve five stars. They were accommodating, considerate, professional, efficient, kind, and truly represented the very best of York. I would be inclined to make these apartments my go to place for any future visits to York.

- Peter (6/5): - Check-in was not as streamlined as it could be. Had to phone 24 hrs before check-in, but should just provide address to office where keys can be picked up. Sloping floors were a bit of a turn off. Otherwise clean and functional.

- MEAGHAN (10/5): - I cannot recommend this place enough. So convenient, walkable and really in the heart of the best of York. Plenty of kitchen space so you can actually share meals together. If I had to mention any drawback the wifi was not the best. If I am ever back in York, ( which I hope to be the case ♥️) I will definitely book with this property.

- Sarah (4/5): Won’t return - Used to stay in these apartments a long time ago , nothing has changed, even tho it says refurbished everything is the same apart from a few new cushions, I found bottle tops in the drawers and the kitchen sink was stained brown. I will never return there’s too many nicer places to stay in York . Bed is small and uncomfortable. Towels are old. Carpet was dirty. Curtains let light through couldn’t sleep. Security deposit required even for 1 night , which I think should be used with discretion. Unless you need the space for groups in the big apartments, don’t bother.
- John (6/5): Nice Apartment - Nice Apartment, in a good location. Very tidy. We stayed in the monks loft, which has 2x single sofa beds, and not 2x single beds as described. Also, I recommend to have a long pole to close the sky lights, as one was partially open, with it's blind open, so could not be shut/closed at night.

They advertise luggage storage and before we checked in they stored our luggage and then took it to our room when the room was ready, that was awesome, but when we asked for luggage storage on our check out we were told we would have to pay. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Rebecca (10/5): Great Place!!! - We were only able to stay in York for a few short hours, but we loved it there. The apartment is just around the corner from York Minster. It’s also close to The Shambles and tons of shops and food. We would have loved to have been able to stay for days because York is so cute. In the morning before we left, we walked the wall, and those views were stunning. Just getting into the apartment was a fun adventure. We came after hours, and they gave great instructions on how to find everything we needed, but it really felt like a scavenger hunt (in the best way possible). The place was cute and had plenty of room for our family of four plus my dad. We would definitely stay here again!

- Anne (10/5): - Stayed at Ebor Mews apartment. Key pick up from the office was simple and the staff member was helpful and informative. The apartment was really central, only 2 or 3 minutes walk from York Minster and a few more minutes walk to the Shambles area. The kitchen area was clean and compact. It was equipped with everything we needed. The living area was small with 2 small sofas. We were a party of 5 so really could have done with an extra ‘seat’. The 2 bedrooms were lovely and the double beds were very comfortable. We couldn’t seem to access local programmes on the TV but we were able to log into Netflix so not a problem. We enjoyed our stay and the apartment served our purpose well.
- Alison (8/5): Ebor Mews - An unusual old terraced building with door opening onto street with comfortable accommodation on 1st & 2nd floors. Right by city wall so good views.Clean and well presented. Steep stairs and sloping/uneven floors may be an issue for people with mobility issues or small children. Sleeps 6 but that would be a squash in the sitting room. Decent towels & toiletries.

There was some late night noise on both nights from 12 midnight until about 3 am in the morning (week night too), assuming as they came out of local bars. I'm not a light sleeper, but this kept us awake unfortunately.

- Isobel (10/5): Location, location, location - The Snug was a very well appointed apartment with a very well equipped kitchenette, two comfy sofas and large bedroom with en-suite shower. It is extremely well located for accessing every part of historic York and within easy walking distance of the railway station and bus routes. It’s right beside the walls of the city and shops, Minster and eateries are all on your doorstep. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back. On ground level so easily accessible. You do get some noise from people above but it is minimal.

It isn't a busier location, within walking distance to many attractions. In saying that, we did hear people talking outside at times, but we didn't mind it and expected in a busy city like this. We're definitely hoping to go back in the future and would definitely consider staying at this location again.

- Daniel (8/5): - This is definitely not an accommodation for six. The pullout couch is terrible but no way could two people fit on it. Our 10 year old twins wouldn’t even sleep on it and they have slept on maaaany pull out couches while traveling. They opted to just sleep on the couches as is. Luckily we had kids and no other adults with us. The area is great and walkable but also very noisy at night. Music and partying until 2am. Not the fault of the owners, but just be aware when staying with kids.

- Chris (4/5): - We stayed in the Viking Quarters apartment. Fantastic location for exploring the city. Kitchen well equipped. Unfortunately the apartment bathroom smelt of sewage. The duvet covers were far too small for the duvets - think theyd tried to put double duvet covers in king size duvets, and when I asked reception, they just repeated they were confused and took no action to rectify or apologise. It is noisy from the road traffic at night for the front bedroom so if you're a light sleeper then Viking Quarters isn't for you. As I say, great location but clearly some issues.

- Chris (10/5): York stay in Tower Mews - Apartment was clean and well equipped, nice light space. The roof terrace was good for sitting in the sun in the afternoon, and is very private (although the view is just the roof next door rather than out to the city). Beds were very comfortable, only thing was because it's a top floor apartment the bedrooms got very hot in the morning sun

The appartment suited us well with a spacious layout and a practical well stocked kitchen. Nicely decorated and presented and was clean and easy to keep clean. Very convenient as could park close by in Monk Car park and walk easily to all the attractions and shops that we wanted to visit. We really enjoyed our stay in York and would definitely stay there again and can recommend to other guests.

Not a huge deal if you are a heavy sleeper but if you want a decent nights sleep get a room on a different floor. Location was great directly on an entrance to the York walls.

The property had all the amenities you could ever need and was comfy and clean. The only complaint I would have is that the upstairs apartment were quite noisy and you could hear their footsteps at 6’oclock in the morning as the ceiling was quite thin.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Unorganised uncomfortable stay ! - We let property know we wanted early check in, on arrival we were told come back in a hour, we can at least put our bags away, when we did the last room us to the room WE BOOKED BY NAME, after in packing another lady came there said we are in wrong room we must leave! Again this room was not ready so we had to pack back up put bags in dirty room and leave !! Very unorganised staff !! Room was OK, sleeper coach terrible, very bad creeky floor,

- Chasidy (8/5): - This apartment was in a fantastic location to step right out into York. It was big enough for our family of 2 adults and 3 kids. Parking wasn’t too far away, rooms were big enough, it was clean, and everything worked. Being on a busy street, it could get noisy all day and night where you could easily hear everyone that walked by and was talking. However, we will definitely book here again.

First apartment was lovely, comfy and cosy with everything we could need, although could have done with a clean. The second apartment wasn’t so great, really dirty, shower not working and not enough bedding available. Sofa bed not worthy of being called a bed. Bit spooky too, although in a listed building it’s to be expected.
- natalie (8/5): - Lovely clean apartment. Quiet sleeping in the bedroom however it was noisy from the street sleeping on the bed settee.The mattress was far to soft and the bed was really low. In a fantastic location really central and lady telephoned us the check our arrival time and to let us know that the apartment would be ready earlier which was really useful. Really wish the check out was 11 instead of 10am.Immaculately clean throughout.

When a call was made to discuss how to get to the apartment the call was met with arrogance, attitude and damn right rudeness. The postcode given was 10 minutes from the apartment and at no point did we get the full address until I asked for it. The person on reception assumed we knew the area when discussing parking we didn’t
- Stephen (10/5): Lovely apartment in York. - Lovely 2-bed apartment (also has a sofa bed so can sleep six) next to Goodramgate on the city wall and a good location for walking into the centre. Also just around the corner from the reception and about a 20 minute walk from the railway station. Would definitely use again.

Emailed before trip and was given good advice in parking. Check in was very easy and location perfect for the Minster, Shambles and joining the bus tour. Very happy.
- Jonathan (4/5): Fantastic location but otherwise disappointing - It's a brilliant location right next to Monk Bar (one of the fortified gates to York) so only a stone's throw away from York Minster and the rest of the walled city. There's a pay and display car park literally 2 minutes away. However, the town house itself leaves quite a lot to be desired which is a shame. We stayed on a very hot day in August 2020 and the flat was stiflingly hot because a number of the windows didn't open for various reasons (disrepair, screwed shut or simply can't open because the bed is in the way of the secondary glazing). There was one fan in the second bedroom but it's not much use if you can't open the window! The house appears to have been recently carpeted and the furniture is clean and new but overall the decoration is exceedingly tacky (think cheap pop art and pretty ugly and uncomfortable DFS-style furniture) and certainly not in keeping with the heritage of the building or area. The building itself is probably best described as quirky. For example every floor is uneven so the beds and furniture all slope somewhat. I accept that some may consider this to be part of its charm. Personally, I was disappointed with our stay. The rooms are all quite small and the bathroom and kitchen could do with a refresh. With a little more thought and some investment by the owner, this apartment could be so much better than it is.
- Nicola (8/5): Quirky, wonky housein a great location. - The location was great and the wonky house had its quirkiness. There were a couple of things we didn't have in the house but staff went straight out and bought them for us. One of the beds didn't have slats at the end of the bed and I nearly fell through! The cooker wasn't easy to use as all symbols of oven/grill/fan assisted had worn away so it was a bit of a guessing game cooking but we managed in the end. Overall good stay, good location, nice place and staff go above and beyond.

Myself,two daughters and grandchild were left with nowhere to stay after being stuck in traffic. No refund has been offered so was left to pay for another room, which on a Saturday night was far from easy to find.
