- LencitaCR (10/5): Extraordinary Service - I did not enjoyed the first night in the hotel due to insects in the room, but next morning when I talked with management, it made all the difference in the world because they were so kind and professional with our group.
Courtesy, empathy and professionalism goes a long way when we get service and manager Deyver really made our experience in the hotel so special that there is no other hotel in the area that we would visit. I will definitely keep coming back to Cariblue Resort.

The tub or toilet leaked forming a huge puddle area all the way out into the sleeping area. When we asked the evening staff to change rooms, we were told that there were no rooms available and that we can have a mop and bucket.

I saw this really weird man and he approached me asking me what I’m doing here after I explained that I have a reservation he then called the receptionist or the manager and he took me to the room. It was a disgrace the place is very old and smell bad. It was like a nasty old man room. I grab my things and leave instant. Why was there no receptionist at front desk ? The place was so old, creepy and disgusting especially that weird man they left in charged. Please don’t go here run for your life

- barringtonc2024 (2/5): Worst Hotel Experience Ever - Stay away from this place. False advertising, a scam, a bootlegged operation, and not permitted by the Jamaica Tourism Board to operate. Several platforms that promote this dump should remove it from their website. My worst hotel experience ever. Reserved 1/2/24 and 1/3/24 but could not stay. I arrived at 7:30p to an unlit and closed reception area; there was no one to check me in, and I could not get a hold of management. The place was short of desolate had it not been for a watchman and a cat. The watchman took me along a dark alley to a room. The room was moldy, musty, and smelly. It did not appear the bedding had been changed for some time. I asked for a different room. That room was no different. I left for another hotel. I returned the following day to complain to management and request a refund. The manager and owner, Roy Watkins, was not customer-friendly and behaved as though he did not understand the issue. He did not offer a refund. I filed a complaint with my credit card issuer and with Expedia. I am still waiting for my refund.

The place is unkempt instead of saying its a hotel, just rename it a motel
Its a good thing we booked in for 1 night.
The propertior needs to take responsibility for its upkeep. And the cheek of it when booking on experdian it says no REFUND

- Sharmike (2/5): Leaking roof, not good. - It was absolutely horrible. Got water from the wrong places. The room smelled moldy and i left my suitcase open in the spot of the roof that was leaking and everything i had completely drenched. The shower stopped working in the morning. I was explaining to the receptionist that looked at me like i was speaking gibberish. This is unacceptable even at the low rate.
- CHERYL (2/5): - The pictures are deceiving. The building is in total disrepair. Furniture is broken cracked peeling. The linens needs to be changed out. Dingy, discolored "white" towels. Headboard for bed falling apart. Too many to mention. Unfortunately had to stay the night as it was an overnighter for a morning flight. There should be a minimum standard for Expedia this place is unacceptable and should be removed until repairs are made.

Restaurant food could’ve killed you. Threw up instantly food tasted very bad. No WiFi, I didn’t even leave my room the rooms had keys with doorknobs that were easily accessible. People at the pool shouted all night long. No hand towels only one towel provided. This place was nothing like the pictures shown. I was disgusted as a woman, never felt so dirty in my life. Motel 6 would’ve kept the lights on for me cause this place had none. Don’t stay here at all.

Cable Tv was ok the bathroom and room needed a bit more cleaning and freshening up. The bathroom smelled like urine and very shakey. The property needs alot of upgrades. It look like a place in the 60s, very old and unattended. The pool looked half full and dirty.There was a nice sport bar on the property Spiritz we had breakfast there it was ok. The mini mart had most things you would need for a short vacation but a bit pricey. The host Mr Patrick and Brady was very friendly and willing to assist. Its a nice place to stay out of the hustle and bustle of the city. I would stay there again only if they make some serious renervation to the place. Those pictures they have up on

- Winnifred (2/5): - The condition of this location is highly unsanitary and requires proper upkeep. The entire area was filthy, necessitating a thorough cleaning. The lounge chair should be replaced, as it is in poor condition. The shower curtain is dirty, and there is fungus on the walls and ceiling. Furthermore, the roof leaked during rainfall, adding to the list of issues. The customer service provided was extremely disappointing. I had to request a refund and engage in prolonged discussions before finally receiving it for such a poorly maintained establishment. Unfortunately would not recommend this place.
- Ronna (4/5): - This property was horrible!! The building is very old and runned down. You can't use your tv because they claim the internet doesn't work. I barely had any water pressure in my sink and shower. There was also no microwave in the room. Some reason you only get 2 towels, no hand or wash towel was given to me, or complimentary shampoo or conditioner. I asked for another roll of toilet paper, and was handed a partial roll that must have been borrowed from another room. If it wasn't for the pool and good foood, my vacation definitely would have been a failure!!

- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst Hotel in Jamaica - I would not recommend staying in this hotel to anyone who values their comfort, hygiene, health, or safety.
I stayed in room 14, and there were holes in the shower that looks something could come out any minute and attack; the room was shabby and unkempt. In addition, the sink and toilet were covered in a nasty stain that made them unusable, and they turned off the water at night.
The pictures online are misleading. I have no words for the condition at Cariblue - hard to say how it is still booking guesses; I felt robbed; what a waste of money. I was there to attend a funeral and had no time to search for another place to stay, or I would have left immediately.
- Katina (2/5): - This hotel was more like a motel it was dirty it took the old guy five minutes to get the door to close and stay close. The door was a door from a house. Key was like a key that you would just use to unlock your house the furniture was outdated there was mold in the bathroom, and there was no running hot water, When I felt so unsafe, the manager refuses to give me a refund on the room and told me all he could do was upgrade me to a different room. There was a bar downstairs that was kind of attached to this “motel” and I was in the first room so I didn’t feel safe at all. I even told him I can’t stay in this room with mold especially because I have asthma. He didn’t care he said you should have read the policy.

- ransford (2/5): The waste hotel in jamaica - Visiting this hotel was the worst experience of my time coming to Jamaica. The hotel was not well taken care of, there was no television in the room, the bathroom was run down and the cupboards were falling apart. I would not recommended anyone to stay here. After paying to spend 2 nights, I could not stay not 1 night, i had to leave and this was without getting a refund or the manager trying to fix the situation. I had to leave an find other reservation.

I called and no one answered and when I talked to them next day they told me I was l wrong someone was there then Expedia denied me claim and sided with the hotel. I went directly to the hotel 2 days after and they refused to make me speak with management or see camera footage. This clearly is a case of an employee falling asleep on the job and lying in order to protect himself from losing it

I couldn't even stayed for the full length of my vacation. I had to move to another resort. Parking was a big problem. Very noisy at night's. My experience was very very horrible.
- Olga (2/5): Run-down MOTEL with No beach - This is a run-down MOTEL with NO PRIVATE beach: there was a broken dock for old boats (pictures). Room was never cleaned and linen never changed. The site offers airport transfer for $10 per person but they asked $30 (they said “ info on website was old”—maybe the prices old too??? Site says “tub” in the room—only a shower. 200 ft from my room was a Sports Bar with dancing floor few times a week. I could not sleep till 2pm. I paid for nights to SLEEP but could not. Stay away from this rat hole!!!

- Trevor (2/5): Tourists stay away! - I booked a room in advance. Arrived in Jamaica on the day of check-in. Took a taxi to the hotel and was told my room was not available as they had double booked. No warning in advance, no apology, no nothing. So i had to drive around in a taxi to find another hotel room. Very unprofessional and should not be in the tourism business.
- Janea (2/5): - The room was dirty and did not look like it had been cleaned in months. The doors were falling off the kitchen cabinets and the towels were like rags. Limited soap and toilet paper in the room. The floor was extremely dirty and the room needs to be thoroughly cleaned.

It is old and very out dated and does not reflect the pictures they advertise on Expedia. In fact it looks nothing like those pictures. Upon my arrival, a room was not ready for me and I was told that I should have called them in addition to booking with Expedia. As a result I had to seek accommodation elsewhere. It worked out because I got a much nicer place for much cheaper, no thanks to Expedia. I expect a full refund and I will never recommend this place to anyone.
- Verified traveler (6/5): An experience in Montego Bay - Hotel is 10 min. from airport, however this is by no means a 3-star hotel more like a 1-star rundown motel.
Stock pictures on Hotels.com are dated when this may have been a new property, see actual pictures from last week for the true story. The property is in deplorable condition and construction on adjoining wing.
It has no amenities and very basic dated room @ 10x20, with ocean facing balcony, working refrigerator, non-functional kitchenette, bath tub with good hot water but run down corroded and broken fixtures, wobbly WC and leaking flush, missing shower head with a pipe sticking out, later replaced with a plastic head which was questionable, has a twin bed, old linen, though we got a new spread next day, dated furniture & decor, walls and ceiling is water stained, non-working TV & smoke alarm.
Surrounding is very noisy since it's main road facing and loud music from the adjacent bars until midnight. Internet is dismally slow, directional and disruptive, though Roy the owner said he got the latest fastest Internet. Had to request clean towels and face towels, coffee mugs, plastic cups and housekeeping.
The only plus was a newer AC, 2 restaurants adjoining property serving good local food with inexpensive bar, a convenience store to buy your water and basic needs, drinks, alcohol etc.
Roy Watkins the owner, an older manager and a handyman were all good and friendly people trying to make a living, were very accommodative and allowed us a late check out at noon.

They are False Advertising and The Proper Authorities Have Been Notified Definitely recommending not to stay here, all the pictures their advertising are all FAKE, they claim their renovating but yet never advertising that they are and also the so called fake Manager is not the Manager and only playing big shot shes only been working there for 3 days let another worker tell it corrosion everywhere they gave us a room with no AC and I have asthma it was so hot felt like I was dying inside that room literally asthma attack after asthma attack come to find out hours later the original first room they gave us was where the so-called new air conditioner was a gentleman that worked at night he was the only one that worked within or for this hotel that has sense we definitely like to thank him for giving us at least air conditioning finally the corrosion in the bathroom the corrosion around the room definitely this room is from the early 40s to 50s and it looks as though no one has ever renovated they should be totally shut down they don't have no means of even offering their guest ice they betrayed to be a part of the restaurant somewhat connected to their location when they are not it was a horrible stay one night only it was on August 6th 2022 and trust me I promised them they would regret how they treated us when leaving they tried to give a fake apology. Don't waste ya time/money

- DELAINE (4/5): - Absolutely nothing. The room had a stench when we came in. There was just one soap for amenities and that's it. Bed linen is unclean. Incorrect telephone number listed as contact through booking. the room I was in needs to be refurbished, use room mists etc. Disappointed much.

The furnitures are outdated. The pitcure on the site is not the same as the actual hotel.
- Pamela (10/5): Great stay - Hotel view is amazing, the room was large, bed was so comfortable. Renovations being done but does not effect my stay. The staff were friendly, helpful and made me feel very safe. I y has a great restaurant next door and a convenience store here as well so everything is very easy and accessible.
- Petagaye (2/5): - Nothing like the picture ! This place is outdated, there was staines all over the bedding the towels in the bathroom was dirty toilet bowl and bathtub was dirty it was just a horrible experience.

- Claudette (6/5): Picture is decieving - Booked into this hotel on 13 May 2022. When I arrived there was no one on reception, so had to hunt for the person who should be have been there. I stayed in room 9.When I entered the dirty bedclothes were still on the chair. I don't know if the room had been cleaned properly as there was a dead cockroach in the corner and the duvet covering the bed had dried blood stains on it. The room is near the stairs so you hear the music from the bar but thankfully it stops at about 12pm.
Room did have air conditioning and hot water and is 15 minutes away from the airport. There was no shuttle available to take my to the airport and the day I checked out and ended up paying $30 to get there
- IAN (2/5): Disappointing Stay - Sorry to report that the hotel resembles a building site. The pool was out of action, drained and full of rubble. The pool was a key factor for making the booking for the children. This was clearly also having major works and not fit for purpose. The rooms were 1/2 decent but needed deep clean. The bed linen was dirty and no hot water from taps. No kettle, microwave or cutlery present in the room. As for breakfast, there was none! The restaurant did not open until after 9am. Me and my family were very disappointed with everything and our arrival to the property was too late in the evening to change, as the money was paid when booking on line. It appeared we were the only guests occupying what seemed to be a deserted Hotel.The description given on the web site is very misleading. I do believe this property should be removed from the Hotel.com site until it has been fully refurbished and inspected and no-one else gets deceived in this way. This was a definite case of false advertisement and should not be allowed.

- Yonette (2/5): Worse place ever - The worst experience ever, the place seems like an abandoned building that someone just captured and running a business out of. There is nonsecurity there, the bed linen was dirty.. its a trap to be robbed. Do not go there... i warn you.. dint be fooled by the pics on google of this place those pics where years ago.. the place is verry runned down and old.. i did not even spend a night there, had to find another hotel...

- Shellaine (2/5): - Rooms were dirty, one of them had tape holding up pipes, another the lights did not work in the kitchen area, the closet had black spots and the pillo case looked dirty and used. Another room the entrance to get therebas about one foot wide and the walls was dirty, on top of that the bathroom was filthy with possible mold. I did not stay here one night due to safety concerns.
- Lorna (2/5): - I did not like anything about the property. The person at the makeshift front desk was dirty and unprofessional. The room was deplorable and the toilet didn't flush properly. The price was reasonable but the property was unfriendly and dirty.
