• Skye (8/5): - We loved the remote location of the adorable bungalow. However it was tricky to find up the hill about a 20- 30 minute walk from the main area/beach as there is no sinage so it really was a secret bungalow. The bungalow did have a leak and some bugs. Despite this it was a cozy stay. Many dogs and chickens in the neighborhood will great you and you will feel like you are staying in a majestic untouched area.

• Line (10/5): Verdt å besøke i noen dager :) - Vi hadde to helt supre dager på Secret Garden Village. Det er en bungalow litt ut i bushen, bort fra støyet fra byen. Det er primitivt, men veldig koselig. Han som driver stedet (manager, ikke eier) snakker bra engelsk og er veldig hjelpsom uansett hva det måtte være. Vi ankom ganske sent med båt fra Krabi, men ble vist rett til vår bungalow uten noe problem. Vi fikk også leie scooter samme kveld så vi kunne kjøre inn til byen å få oss middag. Det er 3 minutter med scooter inn til sentrum og kanskje 4 minutter til stranden. Vi hadde det helt topp, men vær forberedt på at det er dårlig trykk i dusjen og ikke er frokost på stedet.

• April (8/5): Nice place for great price! - Htoo the manager was Awesome. Great welcome and superb service. WiFi was best I’ve experienced. Anything you needed, Htoo would provide or help get for you.
• Jon (2/5): Has gone downhill - I had previously stayed here 2 years ago and everything seemed in order. This time was the complete opposite. It may seem close to Sairee Beach but the path is now not accessable for scooters and you can not walk it once it gets dark out. To get to the beach or bars at night you have to take the long way around. The room was the same type I booked before but this time it came with heavy mildew and mold smells. The bathroom door had to be shut the whole time I was there due to the smells. You wake up completely congested. The porch has an ant colony in/on it and the boards were not properly nailed down. If you stepped on the wrong one the opposite end would shift and pop up. I have travelled a lot in Thailand and have dealt with poor maintenance but this however was not acceptable. The overwhelming discomfort of the bungalow made me book a new hotel after the first night (I had 5 nights booked). I suggest not booking here even if my bungalow was a one off situation. I wouldn't roll the dice.
• Mathew (6/5): Nice quiet hotel, 10-15 minute walk to the action/ - Nice quiet hotel/bungalow which is a 10-20 minutes walk from town and the beach. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Selection of coffee and tea in the room along side a mini fridge and kettle. Ac was strong in the room and quite loud at night. Staff is friendly. Checking in is 11am, checkout 10am. If you are traveling by foot I think there are other places to stay that are comparable, ideally if you stay here, you should have a moto. If I can exchange back to Koh Tao I'd be looking elsewhere.

• Niko (8/5): Nice bungalows - We was here 3 days. Clean and comfort bungalow. 400m to beach, but you can rent a motorbike from here. Village is little hard to find because it’s far from main road, middle in forest. I love this place. Villages manager is very helpfull and nice! Thank you!

• Maggie (8/5): - The cabins are very nice and clean. It has a nice garden in front. Wifi is good. Bathrooms are basic. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to town and beach over gravel roads and there is nothing close by.

• Francisco (10/5): Wonderful experience! - The place is really nice, very comfortable and well maintained bungalows. Very welcoming and their manager, Htoo, really amazing..if you read this Htoo, you rock man, keep it up!! The only bit of down size is not on the beach but shouldn't be a surprise as it is described in the general description.
• Nicolas (8/5): En dehors de l'agitation - Localisation un peu en dehors du bruit, dans la nature. 10 min de marche pour le centre de Sairee, mais pas un problème car on est au calme la nuit.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Hyggelig lille sted i en hemmelig have - Værten var rigtig hjælpsom, og rar. Stedet ligger et stykke væk fra vandet, men han hjalp med at leje scootere, hvilket gjorde det hele meget nemmere. Det er et fint sted, som har de ting man skal bruge, dejlig terrasse. Det ligger ved Sairee Beach, men den er desværre ikke så god, vandet er ikke særlig rent, pga. bådene, og det er ikke en god strand at snorkle ved. Generalt et rigtig hyggelig sted, stile og roligt.
• Johnnie (10/5): Perfect Bungalow for a Couple - This place was perfect! Close to the main area but also far enough way to feel secluded. Highly reccomend for couples. A bit of a dark walk home but Koh Tao is safe so I was never worried. The bed, deck, AC and bathrook were all so clean and great. Would highly reccomend staying here!
• Nicole (10/5): Quiet little oasis - Amazing manager always willing to help us with whatever we needed. An easy 10-15 minute walk to town depending on if you took to the coconut grove or the street.
• Nicole (10/5): Amazing little getaway - Lovely manager always willing to help us out to make our stay comfortable and convenient. Even when the power did go out (as it does on the island) the generator worked hard to get everything back online within a half hour. It was only a 10 minute walk through the coconut groves to get into town for my dive course which was great. Even if it was too dark at night, only a 15 minute walk via the main roads, and each room came equipped with a flashlight for you to have on you. Definitely recommend this little hideaway.
• Fredrik (8/5): Bekvämt och luftkonditionerat - Bekvämt och luftkonditionerat rum med gångavstånd till mest centrala delen av koh tao. Vägen till boendet är dock mörk på kvällen men fungerar bra med mobillampa.
• Sapphire (10/5): great little place! - I stayed here for 3 nights and would definitely return! Friendly staff and cute little place!! Only bad thing was it was abit out of the way, I had to hire a scooter to get back to the main town road , it would of been about a 20 minute walk other wise. The owner recommended a great scooter shop and they picked me up and took me to the shop. Room was cleaned when I asked (you have to tell them a time to come and clean) good wifi and a good little bungalow! Movie channels in all languages and the manager there was very helpful with everything!
• Séverine (6/5): Sympathique - Le gérant de l'hôtel est très sympathique et très serviable. On a pu louer un scooter directement avec lui; il nous a aidé à organiser notre voyage à Phuket. Bref il nous facilite notre séjour. Les bungalows sont pas mal. Par contre, les moustiques, c'est l'horreur ! l'environnement sans plus, on est au calme. Le ménage, il faut demander pour qu'il soit fait. Pour un court séjour c'est bien.
• tamara (6/5): Mooie rustige hutjes - De hutjes zien er van buiten prachtig uit. Bij ins begon hef al niet zo lekker omdat van het personeel niemand te bekennen was. Na een half uur eindelijk iemand gevonden. Als je van rust houdt is die ideaal, maar voor ons iets te rustig. Huisjes zien er prima uit van binnen en de eigenaar is top!

• Lasse (6/5): ok bungalow hotel - a very special place. In the midle of nowhere they have put up some bungalows. It's litteraly inn the middle of nowhere. 400M walk to the beach. Thru an "bush" with animals and insects. Not my cup of coffe. The staff (1 guy) speaks good English and is very helpfull. An ok place if you love the sound of crickets in the night and you don't mind about frogs or snail in the bathroom. Almost crapt my pants when i was shaving and saw something moving in the mirror and besides the toilet there was a medium sized frog. That aside, the bungalow were quit nice, scooter rental at the premises (scooter is a must here) and ok price.

• Hailey (10/5): Great Hostel!! - The owner was great he let us use his snorkels and motor bike for a really cheap price. It's super laid back and a little hard to find. You'll turn right off the main street and then take a left off of the secondary street there is a resort area where you turn left. Then follow that road a little ways and at your first left take the left there was a blue building at that turn. Follow the road all the way to the end it becomes gravelly. Take a left over a bridge (this is past where google maps says the address is ) You'll continue walking and see a sign for a hostel. Go to the hostel and ask for Tu. He'll take you to the villa its right behind the hostel. Super nice place to stay!! There is also this cheap dinner place up the road on the street with the resort. It's right across from the Health gym. I highly recommend it!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet place amongst the palm trees - Located a short walk through a palm tree forest from Sairee beach, the bungalows were a perfect place to stay away from the crowd but close enough to still be involved. The beautiful garden made you feel like you were living isolated in a tropical garden. Aircon and fan kept the room very cool. Sairee village is less than a 15 minute walk away and you can also order authentic Italian pizza delivered to your bungalow. Staff were excellent and very friendly/ helpful regarding any of your needs. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!
• matilda (8/5): Good hotel - Very nice room, wifi and air condition worked perfectly. Fresh toilet! The manager was very helpful and friendly. I recomend you to rent a scooter because it will take at least 10-15 min to walk to the city centre and the road there don't have any electricity, so during the night the road isnt very nice to walk. Me and my friend used the scooter all the time. We had a nice stay

• Celina (10/5): Cozy, quiet rooms, close to the action - The rooms were super cozy and private. Very close to the beach, maybe 5-7 minutes on foot. Also its located right in Sairee, so you're super close to tons of food, activities..etc. But the cottages are tucked away down a dirt road so its very quiet. Aside from the roosters haha. The manager was incredibly friendly and helpful, i would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

• Angela (6/5): - stayed here recently for four nights. the location is quite out the way and requires a 5-10 minute walk through jungley area which i found particulary daunting and scary at night as it is pitch black and you can hear all the animals - be aware of this. this put me off staying again. The guy who owns the place is increadible and would do anything for you and he makes this place good. nicest guy you could meet. the rooms were a good size and confortable. However the shower was over the toilet and therefore gets the toilet wet when you use. Also our bathroom door did not close properly and during our stay our room wasn't cleaned. However, had we asked the owner to clean it he definatly would have.
• Nick (8/5): Cute little bungalows in forest - It really is slightly out of the way, but nothing a 10-minute walk or scooter rental can't fix. Good little bungalow for the price at the expense of location.

• Grant (6/5): nice enough. - Hotel owner was very friendly and hospitable and the room had all the basics plus a fridge. The long dark path wasn't ideal walking along at night but flashlights were kindly provided. Checkout was at 10am which we felt was earlier than most.
• Rob (8/5): Nice hotel close to the beach. - It's so secret the taxi drivers couldn't find it. The sandy lane towards the hotel is going to high grasses. In the evening you certenly need candles!
• Jenni (6/5): Nice place, peace and quiet off the main road - Me and my husband stayed three nights in a very nice bungalow with all modern comforts. Location is a bit off the main road so there's no danger of any annoying music etc. at night. The sounds of the jungle are the only ones present at night, very cool! Scooters are for rent at the hotel for a very reasonable price. The hotel has no restaurant but it was no problem for us to walk a few hundred meters to the main road. Remember to take a flashlight with you if going out in the dark, since there are no street lights. The owner (?) of the place seemed like a very nice guy. All in all, I would stay here again if I wanted some peace and quiet. No complaints.
• Brian (8/5): Away from crowds but close enough to enjoy - Secret garden is a nice quiet place with well looked after bungalows, for some people it might be a little out of the way but not a problem as you can rent a moped from them cheaply. The owner went out of his way to let us use the facilities well after check out as we had the full day to spend before catching the night boat. The owner seems really genuine and relaxed which makes him a pleasure to deal with.
• Adrian (6/5): Good but a little out of the way - I can't fault the accommodations at all, lovely new individual bungalows set amongst the coconut trees, clean, comfortable, everything worked and room service was good. Only issue is the location. It's a bit out of the way and then some distance off the main road up a sand track, if like us you don't mind a little privacy, and peace and quiet, highly recommended.
• Lauren (6/5): In the jungle - Gorgeous new place, peaceful and very we'll maintained, it is a little out the way from the beach which is awesome for some peace but because of the heat, we wNted a pool after our walk home. It's an up and coming place and maybe after a few years of custom, they will invest in a pool :)
• Elf (6/5): Secluded and beautiful - The bed was huge and really comfy!! I get a bad back easily n this bed was great. The location was wonderful it feels like your in a secret hideaway definitely. Downsides is the bathroom could do with a bit more effort n the drains really smelt. I think a daily room clean n towel change would have been good, though he did do it when we requested. Its a good 10 min walk to your closest shop or restaurant so some sort of food or small shop on site would be good especially for breakfast. We hired out a moped from the owner really cheaply n that was great for getting about on. The owner is really friendly n chilled. Another thing I would recommend is a hammock or some sort of chill out area where you can lie down outside.
• radik (4/5): it is a really a secret - Planed to stay 3 days at koh tao, when looked at the map it showed that the hotel is near the road, when took the taxi from the ferry it took me ibside the jungels on dirt road, abd the taxi didnt even was sure where the place is. When i found the place it looke really nice and well tajen care of, but it us just so far from everything. You need to walk about 10 minutes in the jungle to get to the road and then go about 5 ninutes to the center. it is a nice place to be away from everything and everybody but in other scenerio dont go there
