  This room comes with private basin and shared bathroom. Some rooms are located around the outdoor swimming pool. Most of these rooms are located in the courtyard around the pool– perfect for an early morning wake up dip. The bathrooms are down the passage, but there are basins in the room for brushing of teeth and hair. A double room has a standard double bed and a twin room has two single beds… best suited for those not cuddling up at night😊. Great backpacker prices on these rooms to be part of the action.

  This is the only room with attached bathroom we have in the main building and it is nestled away in our tranquil garden under the palm trees. It has a king size bed, full-service satellite TV, a digital safe, block-out floor-length curtains, strong wifi and tea/making facilities in the room and, of course, an en-suite shower room. It has its own little private outside area to have your morning coffee – and watch the city wildlife of squirrels and birds drink from water feature in the garden.

• Deluxe Double Room

  Converted from dormitory rooms these massive deluxe rooms are spacious and comfortable. The rooms have high ceilings which increase the sense of space and consist of a king size bed with a single bunk on top so they are suitable for couples, friends, or families. Each room also has a desk and chair, so they lend themselves to digital nomads who have work to do. With a digital safe, cupboard, reading light and a basin in the room these are now our most popular rooms.

They thought the room was empty and it was an honest mistake as they wanted to fix something. It was late at night and I was asleep. They apologised and I accepted the apology. On a eu notre chambre rapidement et plus tôt que prévue après un long voyage (super apprécié). Nous étions présent en été et il faisait chaud, même la nuit. Le ventilateur au plafond faisait du bruit au maximum et les moustiques entraient par la fenêtre pour nous piquer la nuit. Donc pas idéal. De plus, pas la faute de l’hostel, mais nous avions un enfant au 2e étage de notre chambre qui faisait énormément de bruit (donc l’insonorisation n’était pas optimal). Reste que pour une auberge de jeunesse dans ce secteur, c’est un très bon rapport qualité/prix.

• Leakey (6/5): Wonderful Cape Town - The facility is excellent, clean and well maintained. It's in a very good location within walking distance to restaurants, stores and nightlife. It has a lounge area outside and a swimming pool inside. The staff is available 24 hrs and very helpful. I would have preferred to have a non-shared room but there was none available because of a big conference/ convention in Cape Town.

Fun little social events like a braai or even a deep pool so swim in and relax from a rough/hot day. Kitchen Facilities are really good with an oven!

Das Personal war super freundlich und gab mir von sich aus ein Zimmer-Upgrade in ein weniger belegtes Dorm. Bei den Einzelbetten im Dorm wären kleine Ablageflächen oder Steckdosen praktisch.

• Carole (8/5): Een heerlijk rustig hostel - Ik vond de tuin die erbij zat echt heerlijk. Je kon daar heel rustig zitten en de hangmat was ook top! Het huis is ook echt prachtig en ruim. Ik had het huisje in de tuin en daar was ik echt heel bij mee, dat gaf mij echt ook wat privacy. De mensen achter de receptie waren altijd geïnteresseerd en gaven me een welkom gevoel. Ik ben niet veel in de bar geweest, daar gebeurde niet veel en lag ook niet zo centraal. Daardoor von ik het lastig om makkelijk andere reizigers te leren kennen.

• Martin (8/5): Good option - The place is very nice and comfortable. There is excellent wifi, enough shared bathrooms and toilets, and a beautiful swimming pool. The staff is colaborative and you can have a good paid breakfast or meals at the restaurant. I paid 35 US dollars (ZAR 606) for a single room with shared bathroom, which I think is a little excessive price compared to other similar places and overall value of money in South Africa. I was expecting a little more from the place. The shared kitchen is specially very messy and with lacking of utensils.

• Keenan (10/5): Quiet and peaceful, all guest respect one another and the staff were helpful so I will be back. - I liked the pool. The bathrooms and showers. The combination locks on the dorm rooms. The onsite bar is also good, with a pool table you can use by inserting a coin. The food options the bar offers and the small tuck shop at reception. The communal kitchen was adequate for what I needed to prepare and store food. I appreciated the Lodge offering guest the option to store their luggage in the store room until their check in. Thanks I didn't like that the staff who welcomed me didn't introduce themselves or have any name badges for me to meet them. The bunk beds doesn't have a place to leave my electronic devices, water bottle, spectacles or a charging point close to the bunk bed. Otherwise, all essentials were provided.

My room was very spacious. the booking was misleading, because a photo of a lavatory in the room made me believe there was a private bathroom. i checked the booking again and it does not say that the bathroom was shared. Also, the walls are very thin and there was a lot of noise from the rooms upstairs and next door.
