- DAVIS (2/5): Detestei - Noite sem dormir. O hostel localiza-se ao lado de um bar. Gritarias e música alta até as 4 da manhã. Não há política de silêncio no hostel. Muito desagradável a minha estadia
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bed bug infestation - but lovely staff - I woke up covered in bites and spotted several bed bugs in my sheets. That's a travelers nightmare. The staff seemed used to this complaint, they dryed my clothes for free and I used the courtyard to spray down everything else to avoid bringing the critters with me. The staff were very helpful and kind, and also sealed off the room to fumigate it. I also didn't pay for my stay, I just assumed they weren't going to charge me. The rooms are quite old and not very comfortable, breakfast was just toast. I can't recommend this place as I fear they will struggle with this infestation for a while, they seemed sort of resigned to it. I feel bad for leaving a bad review as the staff were so sweet, but with 20 large itchy welts and a day missed debugging my things I really have no choice.

- Pete (8/5): Great location - Easy access to cobbled streets, ferry and bus terminal. Although Colonia is not large. Friendly staff, rooftop nice and room comfortable. My bed creaked everytime I rolled over but otherwise comfortable.

- Lindsay (8/5): Great location - A good hostel to stay in in Colonia. Just outside the old town. Can walk to the historic sites and also rent bicycles at much cheaper than Thrifty down the street. Not all the staff speaks English, but the woman with the short hair and glasses is very friendly and helpful.

- Kirsten (6/5): Fijne Upgrade - Mijn reservering was voor een aparte kamer in het hostel. Bij aankomst werd ik keurig geholpen en bood men een gratis upgrade aan naar een b&b om de hoek. Super attent. Wel heb ik tijdelijk gebruik gemaakt van de woonkamer en de keuken van het hostel. Zowel dit als de b&b prima in orde. Dank voor de upgrade!
- Verified traveler (4/5): hostel tranquilo - Os funcionários são atenciosos e fizeram churrasco a noite para unir a galera. Porém as condições do quarto não foram legais. Ficamos num quarto para duas pessoas, a cama era dura e o banheiro tinha um aspecto muito velho e a janela dividia o banheiro com o banheiro lado, fazendo com que, as pessoas que fumavam no banheiro ao lado, a fumaça ia toda para o nosso quarto. As condições do quarto não eram boas. O espaço do café-da-manhã era com e tinha lareira. A localização também foi boa.

- Felipe (8/5): Bom custo beneficio e localização - Hotel fica bem localizado proporcionando uma logística de deslocamento favorável a diversos pontos interessantes da cidade. Não tem luxo , mas tudo que se precisa para uma estada agradável. Atendimento cordial e café da manhã razoável, pecando mesmo no suco de laranja oferecido com sabor totalmente artificial. Bairro agradável e seguro para caminhadas a noite.
- Priscila (6/5): Boa pousada em Colônia del Sacramento - Doutrinários minha estada no El Viajero Posada. Observar que tem o hostel, duas quadras acima e a pousada, com o mesmo nome, na beira do Rio da Prata. Café da manhã básico, mas bom, com suco de laranja natural, croissants e scones, queijo e cereais. O atendimento pelo recepcionista foi ótimo. Ele era brasileiro, chamado Cristóvão. Achei legal o aquecimento, que funciona bem no frio do inverno e o fato de ter rede Globo, justamente num dia de Olimpíadas. Localização excelente, do lado do centrinhos antigo. Ponto negativo: banheiro gelado e antigo demais, merecendo uma reforma.
- Ingrid (4/5): Quarto privativo frio, úmido e sem toalhas - O El Viajero é um hostel bem simples, com preço de hostel boutique, totalmente incompatível com o que oferecem. Minha estadia foi péssima, começando pela recepção, formal, fria e sem muita vontade de nos dar dicas sobre a cidade. Chegamos faltando 1 hora para o check-in e deixamos nossas mochilas no lock. Lá pelas 17h voltamos, depois de caminhar na chuva, a 11 graus e ventos de mais de 25km/h. A ideia era entrarmos no quarto, tomar um banho e descansar para a noite. Contudo, ao entrarmos, percebemos que não havia toalhas, sendo que ao fazer a reserva, não há nenhuma indicação de que não ofereçam. Meu esposo foi na recepção pedir e o rapaz disse que só tinha UMA! Uma mísera toalha de banho, sabendo que teriam reserva para um quarto privativo DUPLO. A toalha era finíssima, o que impossibilitou que nós dois nos secássemos com ela. O quarto 12, que ficamos, fica na área externa e é frio e úmido demais. As paredes estão manchadas, descascadas e a pintura falhada em várias partes. Enfim, se a intenção for ficar em um quarto privativo, vale pagar a mesma coisa ou um pouco mais em um hotel, porque neste hostel, definitivamente, não vale a pena.

Grosse Gruppe von lauten Kindern im Hostel.

- Stephen (4/5): Hostel : what you'd expect from a hostel - Colonio is an expensive place to sleep. £40 per night will get you a 3-star hotel in most places in Uruguay, but only a double room in a hostel in Colonio. It was ok, but expensive. If you are travelling to Buenos Aires afterwards, make sure you take as much US$ out of the bank before you go......best tip I can give (for the blue dollar rate).
