- Evelyn (10/5): Home away from home. - Very cosy, homely and clean. There was hot water which didn’t run out except for one night when the heater went out. But it was fixed very promptly once we informed the staff. Service staff are all very friendly. The housecleaning lady even had a snowball fight with my kids! It truly felt like home away from home. The Michelin star restaurant above our rooms was also a plus. We had dinner at the hotel almost every other day. The food is really good so definitely value for money. Must try the Testi Kebab! Absolutely nothing.
- ILIAS (9/5): - A hotel with an authentic atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent. The food was also remarkable with well-prepared dishes and fresh, high quality ingredients. Shahir in particular, as well as the entire hotel staff, were always willing to help with anything we needed. There are several options for dining or coffee very close by. Additionally, there is quick access by car to all the attractions in the area. There are a few areas that could be improved. The lighting in the room is quite dim and could be brighter. Additionally, the apartment (especially the bathroom) was cold; since it is on the ground floor, the heating needs to be stronger when temperatures drop below freezing. Lastly, the Wi-Fi was unreliable, with slow speeds and frequent signal drops.

Van de vijf hotels was dit hotel het goedkoopste. Gezien de iets gedateerde inrichting klopte dat ook wel met ons gevoel.

We were offered a better room for no additional costs simply because it was empty for our period of stay. The restaurant is great and included breakfast was above our expectations. Riza, the host, helped us finding an affordable and comfort balloon tour. Though I travel a lot, this was one of the best stays in my life and I highly recommend this lovely place.

All staff were friendly and Rize, the owner, particularly so. He genuinely enjoys helping and communicating with his guests. Difficult to fault anything.

- Anwar227 (10/5): Great experience away from the rush of Goreme - From a hospitality perspective, Rıza the owner has an exceptional way of engaging his guest and made us feel welcome all the way from check-in to check-out (which according to him is not a specific time but whenever you’re ready). Everything except for the nuttella made by the owner of the hotel themselves. The berries and olives are from their trees in the garden. Cheeses made by the neighbors on the corner who have cows in their yard. The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle, so may not appeal to everyone though. Overall, highly recommended

L’avantage de l’hotel, c’est sa proximité avec le chateau (seulement 4min à pied!!) qui permet d’avoir une magnifique vue sur la Cappadoce, Gorëme, et les mongolfières! On recommande à 100%

Our small family is grateful to all the staff members who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort: Emir, Ahmed, Shahir, and Pembe. They assisted us in finding the best deals for hot air balloon ride, shuttles, and provided excellent recommendations for hiking trails and must-visit spots up to our timing. We must highlight the exceptional restaurant within the hotel, which is an absolute gem worth visiting even if you're staying elsewhere. Superb cuisine featuring regional specialties accompanied by great service, with predominantly local clients. We look forward to returning to Cappadocia and once again choosing Sakli Konak as our accommodation!

Riza who owns the hotel provides invaluable information on how to tour the region freely (great if you have a hire car). The food at the hotel restaurant is fantastic, healthy home cooked food with an elevated presentation style. Fantastic breakfast too, classic Turkish spread. Very clean room, the ground floor rooms are restored stone arched bedrooms and have a beautiful mini hamam bathroom. The perfect place for a comfortable stay with an ideal restaurant facility for evening meals. Some minor maintenance on the rooms would be welcome, but not to ruin the rustic charm.
- Venture23580420637 (10/5): Great Place & Magnificent Friends - We, as a family, stayed at "Saklı Konak" for 3 days. The facility is very well located; it is close to Uçhisar Castle and many of the touristic places. It is also very quiet at nights which gives you a chance for switching off easily. It was a great experince to be in a room decorated by antique stones under the high ceiling, which is also clean & tidy and warm like your home. The breakfasts are magnificient which consists of many local tastes presented in a perfect way. The dinner, especially the beef marinated by local spices, has to be tasted. Service quality was perfect, as a result of cheerful & helpful team.

Position of our room was near the entrance and street so it was noisy as everybody has to pass near our window and door. Sleeping pillows could be softer, we couldn't sleep on them at all.

- Haruka (10/5): amazing and memorable 5days - Great hotel and also restaurant. I was staying in Cappadocia for several nights and moved here a little far from the busy Goreme. The rooms are stone built and very cute and comfortable, with a jacuzzi or hammam. It's comfortable to sleep in and has all the amenities. The owner and staff were very kind and friendly, and they gave us advice on future travel routes and provided information on nearby sightseeing. In addition, the food at the restaurant was very delicious, and the testi kebab we had for dinner and the luxurious breakfast were both very delicious. The staffs are very kind. I feel like family. Unlike Goreme, you can spend your time in a calm atmosphere. I stayed longer because it was comfortable… finally I stayed 5days so lovely memories thank you Teşekkürler

- Emelia29 (10/5): Look no further than Sakli Konak for your trip to Cappadoccia! - From the moment we arrived we were greeted like royalty and they staff upheld this for the duration of our stay. We had the Jhlara room and were blown away, there was even a sauna in the room which would be perfect for winter time. The authenic and traditional Turkish complimentary breakfast was really the cherry on top of our fabulous stay. We wish we didn’t have to leave so soon. Thank you to all the staff and the beautiful chefs at Sakli Sonak, we will remember your hospitality and helpfulness to make our stay a memorable one forever!
- Barbara1236 (10/5): Wonderful stay in Cappadocia - If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel with a fabulous owner and staff and an amazing breakfast, I recommend Sakli Konak Cappadocia. The owner Riza was quick to answer all my questions, booked a hot air balloon ride for me, looked over my itinerary and made helpful suggestions. When we pulled up to his hotel, our rented car had a warning signal on the dashboard. In the morning he had one of his staff go with us to a garage to have it serviced. We were very impressed with how kind, efficient, helpful and pleasant everyone was. Riza, and his staff - Serpil, Pebpe, Sara and Kenan - made our stay very memorable.

Riza recommended the best sites to see and gave us his hand map simplified map, which was helpful. Occasionally we could smell the nearby chicken coop.

- Lama (9/5): Lovely room, atmosphere and service - The bedroom was spacious and lovely with its stone arches and walls and its own Turkish bathroom which was exceptionally large. I went in January, but the room was heated and I never felt cold inside. The breakfast spread and the hotel restaurant were great, people from outside the hotel came especially for the restaurant which also had a summer terrace and was very nicely decorated and sunny during the day, and romantically lit during the night. The hotel owner was very responsive on booking.com. He helped me book a cave dinner with hotel transfers as well as an airport shuttle back and forth. He personally visited my table during breakfast just to make sure I was satisfied with everything. Everyone was very accommodating and constantly made sure all is going well for me. The hotel is just a few minutes away on foot from Uchisar castle which is great. The floor-ground terrace looked a bit abandoned and small when I first arrived, but I went there in the low season, and by the second day of my stay, I already felt it looked like a family mountain house. So even that is good! If you are looking for a five-star luxury hotel, this is not for you. If you are looking for a warm, friendly home away from home, this is just the place. It is not in Goreme which seems to be the hub of the area; it is actually only a 10-min. bus ride from the hotel, and the hotel is 2 minutes away from the bus stop. On foot, it is a 40-min. walk which is equally enjoyable on a sunny day.

- Ian (8/5): Enjoyed our stay as a family - The staff was friendly. The room in this stone house was comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and well presented. It was a set menu that centered around bread and cheese. There was enough variety to accommodate food intolerances to these. One of the single mattresses was uncomfortable because you could feel the springs under it, and the pillows were too firm for our liking. The bathroom was quite cold, though our stay was in December.

They helped book a last minute hot air balloon ride for us and ensured we got the best price for it. Breakfast was also delicious and the room spacious and comfortable. I would definitely stay again. Uchisar in general is very dusty and dry so the rooms inside can get be dusty. This is not specific to this property but everywhere in town.
- Vladimír (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodation is located in Uçhisar which is very close to Goreme (10 minutes drive), but not as touristic as Goreme, which was very pleasant and exactly what we wanted. Just 5 minutes walk from the hotel is the castle, which was very nice visiting. The breakfast was the best we had in all our 12 day trip in Turkey! Seriously, they bring you so much food - mostly all local stuff, very very tasty, very nice relaxing atmosphere sitting on the terrace of the hotel with the sun shining on you and the kitchen stuff was just perfect. And the gem of this hotel is definitely the owner Riza - he was so helpful - he managed to get us the balloon tickets (which were almost all sold out) for a reasonable price for the next day and he gave us detailed advice on what to see around in the area. He even took his time and draw us a little map to help us out. I wish every accommodation would have a "concierge/owner" like Riza! Riza is the best :)

The hike from the hotel to Göreme through the hills was a highlight for us, you can enjoy a cold beer in the town before walking or busing back up again. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cappadocia.
