Steven (10/5): Fantastic and a wonderful place if you are planning a wedding 😉 - Very very nice, staff was fantastic, would we stay again YES Things that would make it better, would be sliders for the hot tub as gravel on the outside floor, and hot tub lids need to be lighter as some people will find them difficult to put on and off, but this is my thoughts, but still fantastic regardless

Kejal Mistry (8/5): A beautiful stay at Runa Farm! - Runa Farm is such a lovely place for a peaceful getaway - it's cosy, beautifully decorated, and the staff are incredibly friendly. I would really recommended it to anyone! We stayed in the Courtyard rooms and because it was very stormy windy outside, the main door loudly shook throughout the night. We could hear the doors of the neighbouring rooms too. On a calmer night, this most likely wouldn't be an issue.

Highly recommend to get away from it all. - Located close to Barnard Castle, a cute market town in a brilliant location for walks in woods, fields and waterfalls. The farm itself is really well managed and the rooms are warm and cosy and decorated to a rustic yet high standard. The staff are warm and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious, plentiful all in lovely surroundings.

Staff helpful and accommodating The courtyard family room with hot tub, was very cold, and the wind seemed to shake and rattle the roof, making it noisy and uncomfortable nights sleep. Probably better in the summer

Room wasn't the cleanest, bathroom floor hadn't been mopped and there were bobby pins/hair pins on the floor from the previous occupants. Would recommend and visit again despite the couple of disappointments - Interior design of rooms, reception and restaurant was fabulous Entry to restaurant felt unloved and a bit of a staff area. First impression of entering the restaurant via reception/ rooms, so should have all seats at tables, music and no staff using it as an office. We stayed 2 nights and ate in the restaurant both nights. 3 dishes sold out both nights (we at at 630 and 730 both evenings).

The walls are concrete so ended up damaging clothing and cut us. The shower was very small. The room shouldn’t have been rented out it felt like a dark cupboard totally different to the pictures.

Fiona (6/5): On the whole all OK, but for the price. I would stay at another hotel if need to attend this venue. - Coffee awful, croissant old stale not fresh and light. Welcome host very good in nature and explaining process. The whole venue very pleasant and cosy. Staff largely warm and friendly. Price of alcohol at wedding extortionate. Not enough seats for everyone so spent a lot of time standing. Rooms are nice, but not £200 nice. For a room titled courtyard, expected a view looking at a nice courtyard or that the room opened out into a courtyard. It was good that location wise room close to reception. Downside, music from event still very loud but didn't carry on until mega late so all OK. Hated the £50 deposit thing, find it very offensive way of doing things, and took ages to return it next day.

Ann (8/5): Runa Farm - fabulous. - Our unexpected overnight stay was a very pleasant experience. The room was quiet clean and comfortable. The food on the evening menu was excellent as was breakfast. Great venue for weddings etc....and in a fabulous setting Bit of a snag making a brew as the tap bent over very low in the middle of the bowl, and the very large kettle would only just fit underneath. This also was an issue for cleaning teeth and a quick face wash as your face cannot fit in the bowl because of the tap. The shower was great, but the water splashed outside of the shower area onto the rest of the bathroom floor as the floor was level instead of draining towards the plughole. The step into the bathroom was tricky to tackle in the night as it was high and could be a trip issue for someone with mobility issues.

No shower gel in the bottle and a random coat hanger left on the shower which made it feel mot cleaned. Paid room only so had to pay for breakfast which was fine but extra for eggs benedict and it was cold. All little issues but that's what makes the difference.
