Das Personal war sehr freundlich . Wenn man abends im Bett war, hat man die Gastronomie-Restaurant . Sehr gehört. Das tolle Zimmer hat dies aber wieder weg gemacht 😊

- Cristian (5/5): Muy caro para lo que realmente ofrece. - El desayuno es bueno y la ubicación es muy buena Solo hablan en inglés y nerlandes. Muy temprano hacían mucho ruido con cosas para el restaurant. Se siente poca privacidad ya que el baño cuenta con una ventana que da hacia el pasillo del restaurant y además cuenta con una mampara que da hacia la habitacion con vidrio transparente. Tuvimos problemas con la caja fuerte, la cuál se suponía que la iban a reparar al día siguiente lo cual nunca ocurrió. No cuenta con estacionamiento. El check out es demasiado temprano. Generalmente es a las 12:00 hrs y acá es a las 10:00 hrs.

- Zsófia (8/5): Overall, we would recommend this place and we enjoyed our stay. However, in hindsight, it might have been better to book - Great location, excellent breakfast, and incredibly friendly, well-prepared staff. They were always helpful, smiling, and quick to resolve any minor inconveniences. They made sure we had extra pillows, blankets, and coffee, and also gave great recommendations on which beaches to visit. The bed was very comfortable. Having the beach right there was amazing, especially enjoying breakfast with that view. However, it was a bit surprising that swimming in the sea wasn’t possible, as the coastline is rocky and therefore not safe for bathing. They upgraded our room to a bigger and better one for free, which we really appreciated. The street-view room was very spacious and comfortable, but unfortunately it was too noisy. They kindly moved us back to the originally booked smaller room, which was much quieter and better for resting. However, it felt quite small indeed for a full week—there wasn’t much space to dry wet swimsuits and clothes, the bathroom was well optimized but also extremly small, and the coffee machine was hard to access in the closet.

- Eduardo (7/5): Better places for the same price - The location and the view from the restaurant. The breakfasts were good. We paid more for a deluxe city view. It was a more spacious room, but too much noise from the street. The windows were not sound proof so you could hear everything from the street. The shutters were not working properly so light filtered to the room at night. Also the wind kept moving the loose windows and making noise at night. I tried telling the staff and said they couldn’t do anything about it. So some paper was put to try to hold the window in place. If you want to rest, pick a room facing the sea or at the back of the hotel. We had dinner once and decided that the food was better in other places.

- annemieke (2/5): Jammer!!!!! - Het bed zag er heerlijk uit Op verheugd weer naar bijblauw, dat was schrikken . Het mooie balkon/terras met uitzicht over de oceaan is ingebouwd door een hoog hotel met de balkons op het terras, geen privacy . Ook de afzuiger van de keuken /hotel maakte veel geluid . De palmboom op het terras in de plastic cementbak was kapot de aarde lag er om heen wat modder was door de regen. Koelkast vies en zo klein , geen tv. ( persoonlijk niet erg maarstaat nog steeds op de site) bedden zagen er verrukkelijk uit , badkamer ook. Helaas niet uitgeprobeerd , zijn helaas weer weg gegaan en iets anders gevonden. Zoo jammer , echt balen!!! De dame achter haar labtop begreep dat we weg zijn gegaan , heeft de aanbetaling terug betaald maar te weinig . Jammer dat ze niet ons het hele bedrag heeft terug betaald onder het mom tjaaa dollar koers. Kan je niet echt maken!!!! Wij hebben ons verlies genomen.

- Dick (8/5): - Mooi ruim appartement en zeer vriendelijk personeel Waar de accomodatie zelf niet zo veel aan kan doen, was dat er best veel herrie van buiten kwam. In het ene naastgelegen pand zit horeca die steeds vrij hard de muziek aan had staan. Aan de andere kant een duikschool die elke ochtend in de vroegte de flessen aan het bijvullen was, wat met aardig wat herrie gepaard ging. Schuin tegenover werd flink verbouwd in een pand en op zee waren zuigers bezig zand te verplaatsen. Er was dus de hele dag door herrie, maar niet van BijBlauw zelf. Nu is wat herrie wel normaal in Pietermaai, maar dit was wel wat veel.

- Stephen (7/5): Generally a nice hotel with a nice vibe, but felt the room was expensive for what you got. - A nice hotel. Restaurant has a lovely setting overlooking the ocean. Basic menu but good food quality. Very spacious bedroom and the highlight was the large balcony. Some of the staff were very friendly, bubbly and active. A short 10-15 min walk to town. Good aircon and fans. Room cleaned daily and towels replaced. Reception staff extremely helpful in booking taxis and excursion, and in general. Room was spacious but basic for the price. No milk provided with coffee capsule. Room located over the kitchen with very noisy staff, so no lie-in after 7.30am and no sleep until later in the evening. Generally a clean room but don't look under the bed. Some bar/waiting staff extremely friendly but others looked as though they had a late night out the evening before and didn't want to be there. All our taxis were late so remember to book for your taxi half hour earlier than you would expect. Hotel quite far from any natural beaches. Hotel pool as advertised, but small and mainly in the shade, next to the bar.

- Ruben (8/5): Kurz dafür aber mit einer überragenden aussicht und Privater Sonnenbade möglichkeit - Das Hotel Liegt im Historischen Stadteil Pieter Maier das Zimmer hatte Meerblick, eine Terrasse zum Sonnen, direkter Wasserzung sowie Pool. Unter dem Hotel Befinden sich ein Kaffee mit Meerblick und ein Restaurant. - Andreina H (8/5): Good - The ocean view from the restaurant is stunning, is exactly as is shown in the pictures. The beds were very comfty and size of the bedroom and bathroom was really nice. The location is top! 10 min walking to punda beach and downtown. The breakfast did not fully match what was offered. Orange juice, which was included in the breakfast description, was not available on either day, and guests are not informed in advance, so you cannot decide beforehand whether the breakfast is worth paying for. Check-in was late and check-out was very early at 10:00. While luggage storage is allowed, there is no option to shower afterward. Considering how hot Curaçao is, this is very inconvenient if you plan to walk around before a flight. At check-out, there was a complete lack of communication from reception. The receptionist was aware that I was preparing to leave, as I was in a small room behind the desk organizing and closing my suitcases. She told me to “take your time,” but did not inform me that she would be leaving or that the hotel door would be locked. When I exited with my luggage, the hotel door was closed and locked, and there was no one at reception. No explanation was given and no prior notice was communicated. I was left outside with my suitcases until another staff member (possibly from the restaurant) appeared and kindly helped me carry them to the car.

I could have accessed various services, such as a supermarket, other restaurants, and pharmacies, all within walking distance without needing a taxi or any other form of transportation. Your hotel is an exceptional place to stay, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. The wifi signal in the room was not optimal. We had to relocate ourselves to enjoy the internet.

- Trycia (9/5): BijBlauw again please - We loved this place, it has a large and comfortable bed, the staff is friendly (youth from the Netherlands mostly :)) and personal touches were added. Our room was so big and beautiful, with historic elements that were kept in the design. The restaurant’s location is scenic and it serves delicious food. It was easy to walk to other parts of the town. I recommend this place ! This is no one’s fault but some people outside love to rev their engines really loudly right outside the hotel so that might be startling for some. It is possible that it is not always the case though.

Limpeza do quarto poderia ser mais bem feito. Refiro-me a acúmulo de poeira (Janelas e embaixo da cama por exemplo), chuveiro com ralo entupido. Nível de serviço no restaurante em diversos turnos deixa a desejar.

- Cristovam (6/5): Se higiene é importante para você, esse não é seu hotel. - O café da manhã não estava incluído na minha diária, mas o local em que ele é realizado é SIMPLESMENTE espetacular. Uma vista linda para o mar, lugar aberto ... e a comida do café da manhã, apesar de não ser buffet, é muito gostosa. Se for para pagar à parte, é caro ... eu paguei US$ 54, mas é inegável que é uma experiência super boa. A localização do hotel é ótima para quem gosta de jantar à pé. Tem vários restaurantes AO LADO. Se você prioriza higiene, esse não é um hotel para você. O hotel tem sérios problemas de limpeza. Chegamos e já demos de cara com uma barata no corredor, isso antes de chegarmos com as malas no quarto. O piso é bem pegajoso, tem uma aparência estranha. E a tampa do vaso sanitário estava toda manchada ... não dá para saber se é mancha mesmo ou falta de limpeza. Uma coisa triste. E o quarto está cheio de humidade, com a parede descascando por infiltrações em alguns pontos. Fora isso, não dá para dizer que esse é realmente um HOTEL. Está mais para hospedaria. Porque não tem uma portaria 24hrs. Depois de 19hrs eles fecham e vc tem que entrar pelo restaurante. Quando o restaurante fecha, não sei como funciona. A piscina é melhor considerar que não existe, pois é muito ruim e pequena. Enfim, as fotos do booking são muito produzidas e tiradas do melhor ângulo. Não coincidem com a realidade. Outra observação importante: o checkout deles é às 10 da manhã!! Nunca vi isso na minha vida inteira. Eu tive que pedir uma exceção para ter um checkout ao meio dia.

- Bertrand (10/5): Très belle petite hôtel , bien situé!! À refaire!!! - Super hôtel sympathique,Bien situé, à quelques minutes du centre-ville superbe vue sur la mer. Personnels très sympathique , très bon restaurant! Seul petit point à considérer…La chambre # 4 peut être un peu bruyante le soir car elle est située en façade de l’hôtel face à la rue! Cela peut indisposer quelques personnes!!! Mais elle est super grande et confortable et c’était Ok pour nous!!

- MICA1988 (10/5): hermosas vacaciones - El departamento que alquilamos era super amplio, comodo y completo. Mucho mejor que las fotos que muestran. La vista es hermosa y en conjunto hicieron un lugar de estadia estupendo. Volveriamos sin duda. El personal de recepción no habla nada de español. El reastaurante que estaba debajo del departamento colocaba musica todo el dia que invadia un poco nuestro ambiente. Los ruidos de la calle por la noche se escuchan bastante en la habitación principal.

- Carlos (8/5): Hermoso entorno al hotel - Hotel con un entorno muy atractivo, con un restaurante con una maravillosa vista al mar. La hospitalidad de la persona a cargo muy buena, siempre dispuesto a cooperar. La ubicación del hotel excelente, cerca de muchos restaurantes que estaban en calle Nieuwestraat y también a unas cuadras del principal comercio de la ciudad. Nunca funcionó la TV tenía un problema el decodificador. Tampoco funcionaba el internet, sólo a ratos. El aseo del baño tampoco estaba bien, principalmente lo que es el borde del inodoro, no olía bien. Estuvimos dos noches y no nos hicieron el aseo de la primera mañana.

Perfect for a boutique hotel. The location was excellent, walking distance to Punda and Otrobanda. The suburb of Pietermaai and the nightlife of downtown exceeded our expectations. Nothing bad to say.

Près des resto et des soirées musicales. Le restaurant de l’hôtel est superbe, les pieds dans le sable! J’adore! Nous devions quitter à 8h15 et le restaurant ouvrait à 8h. Donc impossible de commander quelque chose, même pas un croissant et un café…

J’adore l’ambiance qui se dégageait à l’intérieur de l’hôtel, tant par les douces odeurs relaxantes que par les petits détails décoratifs. Le restaurant ouvrait à 8am et malheureusement nous devions quitter à 8h15. Donc impossible de commander quoi que ce soit… j’aurais apprécié avoir la possibilité d’acheter un croissant et un café pour emporter. (Les employés étaient là depuis une heure)

- Barbara (10/5): - My husband and I were impressed with everything about our stay at BijBlauw. We have never encountered such friendly, caring, helpful, service-oriented staff anywhere else in our travels. The waterfront restaurant is simply stunning. Waking up to breakfast on the sea was the absolute best! Followed closely by ending the day with a cocktail while watching the sun set. I have some food allergies, but that was never a problem during any of our meals. Staff were always happy to let the chef know about my dietary restrictions. Once they were aware, they always remembered what I could or couldn't eat. I found that to be very reassuring. We stayed in room #6 on the second floor. Just beware, there are no elevators here, but there are rooms on the main floor. While the hotel itself was extremely warm, our room was a nice, cool refuge from the heat. It was also very quiet, which allowed for a restful night's sleep. The location was great, too! Even though we had a car, we could easily walk to so many other neat places in Pietermaai, Punda, and Otrabanda. This place is about as lovely as can be! Our stay in Curacao was delightful, thanks in large part to the kind staff and gracious hospitality at BijBlauw. We hope to return someday!

- Scarlett (6/5): Al met al veel het tegen, erg jammer - Locatie is super gelegen De loft was erg donker, airco maakte veel herrie tevens als de koelkast. Deze moesten we in de nacht uitzetten. Ook kregen we maar 1 cupje koffie per persoon. Dat is erg weinig , vooral al je 3 etages verder zit en niet echt heen en weer kan lopen. Tevens dingen op de kaart niet aanwezig. De lokale smoothie en lokale cheeseballs… toen maar bitterballen genomen. Helaas ‘kantine’ bitterballen en dat verwacht je niet van zo’n aangeschreven accomodatie. Ook menukaart in dollars ipv gulden terwijl alle horecagelegenheden in guldens aanduid. Dus daar kan je je ook goed in vergissen als je niet oplet.
- Sylvia (6/5): Redelijk door de ligging en de charme van het gebouw maar de kwaliteit heeft nog veel aandacht nodig - De ligging is heel goed. Centraal gelegen op het eiland en aan zee. De kwaliteit van het onderhoud. Er was veel niet in orde in de kamer. De TV, de koelkast en het kluisje werkte niet. Verder werd de vloer van de douche/badkamer spekglad wanneer deze nat werd.
- michael (8/5): The REAL review - MUST READ: it's hard to get an accurate description with reviews, but here is as close as you'll get. This is a small older hotel made into a boutique property. Overall, I would rate this a seven out of 10. The hotel rooms and lobby are historical building. That's been well painted and maintained, but realize it is an older building. If you have any problem with stairs, do not stay here. The stairs to the second floor are almost like a ladder, and unhealthy people or cokes that have trouble with stairs could get hurt on this. Don't be fooled by the pictures of the pool. In fact, the pool is a small container tucked in the back area outside where it is not a very pleasant sitting and can be characterized as a plunge pool. There's really two seats to sit in, both of them tucked up against the building where you would not want to sit. So essentially no pool. The entire property exists around the restaurant which is in back facing the beautiful ocean setting. This is indeed Crown jewel the property because you can eat here, and sit and enjoy the scenery. Whether it's early morning, coffee or late night dinner or drinks, this is spectacular. However! The property maintains this as a restaurant and if you don't want to eat, it is awkward to go sit amongst well, dressed dinner growers, and enjoy the scenery in your swim trucks and flip-flops. Sothere is really nowhere to sit that is comfortable that doesn't put you in the middle of a restaurant.

- R.S. (8/5): Perfect location - Location. Big room and all of it was clean. With some of the staff it felt that they didn’t want to be at work and be left alone. Not really unfriendly but they didn’t have their heart in it. If slept at a lot of different places in Curaçao and I think it’s really expensive for the complete picture compared to other places.

- Luchoviajes (10/5): Estadía en BijBlauw - Es un alojamiento cómodo, con habitación limpia y en condiciones. Excelente lugar para desayunar, almorzar o cenar con vista al mar y muy bien ambientado. Cuenta con piscina y esta ubicado cerca de restaurantes y bares. Muy recomendable.
