Sin ninguna información previa (porque no hablan inglés) descuentan un deducible (aproximadamente 1,000¥) al momento de cancelar el monto total de nuestra estadía. El aseo de la habitación es usualmente un servicio incluido en el precio, sin embargo, el servicio yo nunca lo solicité, entraban a nuestra habitación sin nuestro consentimiento y cuando llegó el momento de hacer el check-out, no nos devolvieron el deducible por motivo de "limpieza de la habitación" de cada día que estuvimos. Tan siquiera nos pudieron explicar porque no hablan inglés, solo tenían impresa una factura con los "cargos". Al final el precio de Booking no queda parecido con lo que cobra el hotel. No pudimos hacer uso del restaurante, ya que no tiene los horarios por ningún lado, nuevamente el personal no sabe inglés y siempre que íbamos estaba cerrado.

- Mingwhei (10/5): - 我住了五晚的行政房，房間很大，浴室也很大，泡澡很舒服，每天都有清理服務，打掃得一塵不染。飯店早餐的炒菜會每天變化，可補充一天所需的蔬菜。行政房可使用下午茶，從4點半直到晚上7點半，可惜飯店一開始沒告訴我結束的時間，我以為只有下午茶，晚上回飯店後就沒去使用了，直到最後一晚才知道。飯店離地鐵站也很近，到天府機場有快捷線，從成都南站整點發車，33分鐘就到機場了。 行政房的客廳太暗了，燈光很難控制。

- RLC9 (10/5): Nice 3-night stay - As a Titanium, I wasn’t completely happy with our first room on the 23rd floor. I think floors 20 to 32 are considered high. Rooms on one side have a nice city view, but also face the street. Rooms on the other side are quieter, but face other tall buildings. In general, the rooms are fairly large. The managers then kindly moved us the next night to a larger, more luxurious and modern end room on the 26th floor (2610), which had 2 walls of windows. The hotel is a bit older, but very clean. The beds were very large and comfortable. The Club Lounge on the 29th floor had food and drinks from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, which we weren’t able to try. There were also fruits and desserts there until 9:30 pm, which were nice. Breakfast was satisfactory. All the staff were nice. There is a local food street across the street. The drive to the city center is about 20 minutes.

Elevators were full of smoke - our room was supposed to be non smoking yet smelled of smoke- we changed rooms in the middle of the night.

Nearby there is also lots of local food only 5 to 10 min away, very convenient. The hotel itself has very comfortable bed. Very recommend to stay.

- bachelor8 (10/5): Convenient and comfortable - This hotel was next to Tongzilin Metro line 1 station and next to South train station. Room was luxurious and comfortable. Club lounge provided great food at happy hour and afternoon tea including both local and western cuisines. Marriott platinum members and above can choose complimentary breakfast buffet at restaurant on the second floor. Breakfast was also delicious with a variety of food. Staffs at the club lounge and front desk was helpful and accommodating.

You have convenience shops nearby , beer bars open till 1 am within 4 mins, ATM etc. Breakfast buffet is decent but no vegetarian options as such. Good selection of noodles . However difficult to converse if you need to ask anything.

- dlim38 (6/5): Not a true Renaissance Hotel - A mediocre hotel not worthy of being part of Marriott. Hotel rooms, lobby and Cafe are all out of date. One elevator was out of service during my stay and it took 5-8 minutes to get from 24 floor to 1st floor. Food quality at the breakfast buffet is not good. Hotel staff needs better training and their English skills are vey poor.

- Adam (4/5): The drinks were good on the executive floor but yeah just the overall feel not what I wanted. - The room was large and spacious but I feel bits need renovating or updating. Executive floor was not big enough and so not always somewhere to sit. One of the evenings it was full and they suggested I take food away in containers. Even when there was space to sit they did not replenish the food. Yes I understand they were under pressure but it really was not good enough at all. Also, the lifts-they were shockingly slow- irritating beyond belief.

They changed room for me, but… not improved at all…expect of traffic noisy, the lounge is great, the breakfast is fine, there is nothing I could complaint.
- 1986tr (4/5): Very bad birthday experience - I chose this hotel to celebrate my birthday the weekend before my birthday, but unfortunately I didn't feel the surprise of the hotel. The promised birthday decorations were not carried out. Of course, there was no mention of room upgrades. Anyway, I asked and said there was no one. If you have an anniversary or your birthday, I suggest you don't choose this hotel, you will be disappointed with the service it shows.

- howardxp1 (10/5): A little further out of the central zone but more bang for the buck! - For about $100 dollars, you can get this 5 star Boyle with all the amenities. The rooms are spacious and with double sinks in the bathroom. The a/c works perfectly and silently. The gym was decent and had more than the smaller hotels do. Breakfast buffet was delightful and plentiful. Staff and housekeeping were all great. Not too many spoke English but these days the translator apps are easy. This hotel would be $250/night in most cities in the USA. Good value! Howard S.

Bathroom has 2 sinks, large bath, shower but not rain shower. Sofa and 2 chairs furnished the room Executive room closed for 3 nights due to CNY so restaurant on 2nd floor was alternative which was ok. Hotel is tired but clean with polite staff. Located about 200m from metro Breakfast was also ok but the pork steam bun was wonderful Did not use hotel restaurant for evening meal Hotel nice and warm
- O1593GUrichardc (10/5): Perfection - We managed to grab a great deal on a studio room room with executive lounge access, and it was amazing! The room was perfect, with loads of space, a super comfy bed and a great view from the 29th floor. Executive lounge access was a lovely bonus, with food, fruit, hot and soft drinks available throughout the day and the help-yourself approach to alcoholic drinks in the evening was great, too! Breakfast is fine; a good buffet selection on par with similar hotels. Great coffee though! All staff were exemplary: friendly and welcoming, ready to meet your every request. One of the best hotel experiences I have had. Highly recommended. If you can nab lounge access for a reasonable fee, do!

- gerhard_edenhoffer (6/5): Christmas Holiday Chendu - Mixed feelings at the Renaissance Chengdu. For Chinese travelers very good but for Western Marriott members just average. Positive points are the hotel stuff, price, rooms. Average is receiption speed, quality of western food at breakfast and lounge. The hotel does sell the lounge very cheap together with the rooms. For this reason the lounge always completely full and the people fight for the available food and space. The lounge stuff very good and very capable but the hotel management is a question mark. Actually better to pay the little more money and than no need to be a marriott member to have lounge access. For Marriott Members, Renaissance Chendu just average.
- tony12cu (8/5): Nice hotel with great views - The hotel comes across as a little old. However the service is good, especially the concierge who managed our limousine and tour bookings very well. The club lounge is nice and comfortable, but as usual, in China the food runs out too quickly to be replenished as there is a tendency for guests to take too much. The room is nice and spacious, and reasonably clean.
- XinrunD (4/5): Regular hotel but service is not good enough - The location of this hotel is good. Close to downtown and there is a metro station nearby. Check in process is smooth and the executive lounge provides regular stuff. The decoration and the bathroom facility is out of date, the sink of the basin is not able to seal properly. Besides, if the room faces the street such as mine, it will be very noisy in the night and prevent you to sleep. Even as a Titanium member, there is no welcome fruit delivered to the room. No turn down service even on executive floor. No room upgrade. And another vital problem is, the internet access is very very poor and unstable. So this hotel is the last choice in Chengdu if you have other options.

- FoodieThatsMe (6/5): If you are a smoker, then this is the hotel for you - The biggest disappointment was all the smoking within the hotel that was not that well policed. All the smokers gathering in the stairway, during the weekend evenings especially, opposite the main hotel reception desk leading up to the L2 restaurant area. This was annoying - especially smoking next to the ''No Smoking" signs - added salt to the wound! Smoke wafted out into the reception area and into lifts at times. Cigarette butts were dropped on the stairs also. The poorly situated ashtrays either side of the front door also allowed smoke to enter from outside. On my (non-smoking) floor, guests were seen with doors open and smoke wafting out into corridors some days. Complaints to reception were not that welcome I felt. I am someone who has lived in China for a few years and is used to the smoking culture on the streets etc in Beijing & Shanghai so I am not being over sensitive about this. But Chengdu is on a new level. I get that they smoke more here but the hotel chooses not to upset some guests and appears to quietly ignore their unacceptable behavior. NOTE: If you are considering booking here and especially over a weekend, then you need to carefully consider my smoking comments. Really poor form and I am disappointed I have to mention this about a Renaissance Hotel. Restaurants are probably a little local style for some westerners. Buffet had huge Chinese style choice and was great value for money but quality a little plain. They were flat out on weekend lunchtimes so they must appeal to a local market/price. I ate some lovely Sichaun food in the L2 Sichuan Restaurant which really is not that well defined. The Cantonese restaurant had some very good dishes as well but I had to try a few. Moet NV was US$250 approx a bottle on Room Service menu but when I asked for champagne flutes was told hotel doesn't have them. The staff generally are very good and some are exceptional. The club lounge staff try really hard to please and although the food again was aimed at a local clientele, I still enjoyed my time there. They happily responded to any request and I have to say I give them high marks. The restaurant staff was also mostly good as were housekeeping and the concierge team. The hotel guest rooms are large and roomy, a nice desk to work at, big bathrooms, couch, and a comfortable bed. All good. Great view from room with floor to ceiling windows with good light. Hotel location is about 300m from Tongzilin subway station on the very busy north/south Line. There is a great Italian restaurant just behind the hotel called Gli Azurri - their lasagne is worth a try. Management - I never saw one manager that I could identify. All very low key and not customer-facing - well to westerners anyway. Compared to the 5 star+ standard that both Shanghai Renaissance Hotels deliver, then Renaissance Chengdu has a long way to go.
- Tashi989 (10/5): Great hotels - We arrived at the hotel very early in the morning (5 am ) after a 13 hour flight. The staff was amazing and truly helpful. The check-in was smooth, the room was super clean and spacious. The buffet breakfast was tasty having many healthy hot and cold choices. The concierge Edward was extremely helpful booking our train ticket to another city as well ordering taxis and directing us to our points of interests. The staff is what makes or breaks the experience. All staff were cheerful and friendly and we fully recommend staying at this hotel while visiting this beautiful city.
- Daisuke (8/5): また使いたいです。 - 出張で使用。 朝食が少し高め且つ宿泊料にセットに出来ないのが少しマイナス。 ただ徒歩圏内に24時間営業のコンビニもありお酒やおつまみを買うのには便利です。 あとWiFiが上手く繋がらず使えなかったのと有線LANが無かったのが残念なポイント。 それ以外は清潔かつ建物も綺麗なのでおススメです！

- YH Adrian (10/5): Wonderful experience - I truly enjoyed my stay at the Renaissance Chengdu. The staff were very helpful. My return flight was a late evening flight and the staff were very helpful to extend the checkout timing so that i would not be stressed out about my luggage.

Although it has a major roads running outside, which you can't avoid, we didn't notice the traffic noise. Checking in was easy and the staff are all welcoming. The room was in a great condition and very clean. The bathroom was scrupulously clean with a large bath, separate shower, wc and two handbasins. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Chengdu. To us it was a safe neighbourhood and although you need taxi or didi to get anywhere places were all within easy travelling distance. We will stay again.

My son’s competition weapon did not catch the transfer flight and was left in Beijing. The hotel people were so nice contacting the airline, the airport and arranging for the lost luggage to be delivered directly to the hotel. They continue followed up and the luggage arrived 10 mins before we had to leave catching the train. They are SUPER! The hotel is nice. Room is clean. Nothing that may deduct any point from my review.

Dinner slightly chaotic by European standards but good food. The restaurant was very busy. Quite a few staff do not speak good English.
- MAURICIO (10/5): Convenient and great hotel - I recommend to stay 4 nights or more in Chengdu, specially in this hotel...in order to enjoy what the city can offer for tourism. A nice breakfast is very important in China. This Hotel offers you all you want to have a great breakfast.
- pg (10/5): Hotel situated at the second ring road - This is the second time for this hotel. We got s luxury room which is extremely spacious. Breakfast is wonderful with every possible food product to suit East and West. The staff are charming and will do everything in their power to please you and there are excellent English speakers at the front desk. We rented a hotel car and driver to go to Leshan and though pricey was a limousine and very smoothly and safely driven in a country of very dangerous driving style though with few serious accidents. We had a water leak in our shower from the floor above and were immediately moved to another room without quibble. I would stay nowhere else.

We were allocated a front desk and restaurant excellent English speaker who wre charming. The breakfast was magnificent but all their good was excellent. The prices in the hotel were about twice local prices but cheap compared to UK. Eating out with drinks was typically £5 per head. Chengdu is a brilliant city with over 200 museums and many beautiful garden as well as every designer shop all at world prices.

Just a real spoil! Every time we visit Chengdu...this is our go to place to stay and we are never disappointed.
